Here are some ideas I have in mind... It might not make sense, allow yourself to ask questions because I usually am not good at it.
The Evil Awakening: The world is currently filled with corruption, war, blood, and death. And then there was a decease, it was deadly and killed a lot of people. Now there are quite a lot suffering from this decease because it mutated. However, if only magic were to exist, it could cure anything even a deadly decease. But besides the decease, there are people suffering, people, the peasants that were labeled by the royals. And not only the peasants, even the poor animals. Magic was the only way to stop all this mess, only a few believed that magic was real. Magic only was made into a fairy tale just to keep them from touching the subject. After a while, people have gone missing, and there were rumors going around that a demon ate the people. In a forest there's a hut and it's where a wizard lives, only those who know the password may enter his house. The runes that kept this place safe, kept the normal people from seeing his existence. From here you are working for this wizard.
The Unfortunate Guests: The hotel that is standing on a cliff is now allowing guests for up to six nights. This luxury hotel offers luxury services, a hot bath, a pool, a bar, a large dining room, and much more. When guests enter, the staff will allow you to carry you and your luggage's to your room. For non-VIP guests, the staff will not help you, you will be advised to take the stairs yourself. After the guests checked in, they can relax and go on a tour with the staff. Since the hotel just recently opened, there seemed to be a lot of five-star reviews online. It up to the guests to stay for the night, and it's far from the city and the wifi is pretty darn fast. However, the staff seemed odd in appearance. You will soon realize they want your money, the more you stay here.
Wild Pirates Ashore: You spent the night on a pirate ship trapped in a barrel, you lost your memories and seemed you were sent from the 'otherworld'. From here your only motive is to break free and find a meaning to your existence.
