Personality: Nowal is a rather introverted, obsessive fellow. He has a tendency to protect himself in very excessive ways, being paranoid and all. Blunt and sometimes rude, always distrusting people, he can cause much irritation to others. However, he is very protective towards those who has befriended him, going great lengths to defend them. He is also quite intelligent, capable of thinking of many things that others would struggle at, though he usually directs that intellect towards his personal safety.
Backstory: Born Charles Maxwell Jameson, Nowal was a normal vampire with an archer card, playing around, sucking the blood out of small woodland creatures, constantly catching family members in his various death traps, living a happy life. He had a freind who claimed to be a human from 'another world', who told him of a great many things, like harnessing lightning to create devices capable of many things, giant metal birds that carried people accross oceans, and strange, mythical creatures hailing from beyond the stars. He was facinated. But then his family got abducted by aliens. Or killed by vampire hunters. Or thrown off a cliff by a rabid minotaur. His family had taken him to a deserted forest at night a long way from home to play hide-and-seek. He had covered his eyes, counted to ten, and then looked for them. After five hours of seeking, he decided that they’d been buried alive by a gnome. Or eaten by a dragon. Or captured by that group of cloaked people he’d seen running away from the forest in the direction of his home after the first minute of searching.
Charles knew that he would be the next target of whoever got to his family, so he decided to change his name. Also because his previous one was just plain silly. He couldn’t go back home because the killer might have been waiting for him there, so he headed out in the opposite direction, not knowing where he would be going. This lead to years of nomadic travel, bloodsucking strange beasts, wandering through many towns, and learning of new ways to protect himself from the aliens – new traps, new weapons, new information. Eventually, he reached a place where he decided that enough was enough – it was time to stop and settle down. Running away wouldn't solve his problem.
In Jizzytown, the first thing Nowal did was to barricade himself in an empty house and observe the outside world for threats, pointing a crossbow at anyone coming near. It wasn’t until a week later when he finally decided that the town was safe enough for him to go outside, get supplies, set up a perimeter, surround the house with traps, then hole up in the house again for another week. No one paid any attention to him, as they had their own problems to worry about, like avoiding stray mages or taking their druid for a walk. No one seemed to care that he basically stole a house, either. So he lived his life in that house in solitude, occasionally going out to get blood and expand his information network, but mostly just lounging around, dwelling on his paranoia.

Major Flaw: Extreme paranoia. He is always, everlastingly afraid of being hunted down, attacked by strangers, captured by aliens, and anything along those lines, so he is extremely protective of himself. He puts all his energy into fighting nonexistent fears when he could be doing something more productive and refuses to go into any sort of danger, such as battling a monster, going into direct sunlight, or even staying outside for long periods of time. He also has no idea how to use a bow.

- Dark Strength – greatly enhances strength and speed for a few seconds, being more effective and lasting twice as long at night. Leaves user worn out afterwards.
- Rapid Fire – crossbow begins to automatically load and fire bolts in rapid succession for several seconds. Leaves weapon unusable afterwards.
- Moonlit Heal – accelerates the healing of user when directly exposed to moonlight. Leaves user a bit tired afterwards.
Skill Magic:
- Trapper – focused on preparing traps and using them to keep the enemy at a safe distance
- Strategist – able to come up with complex strategies for any presented situation
- General Knowledger – knows a bunch of trivia and about the world as a whole
