Fantasy Hybrid, Magic Camp

SARTHISS

"Alright, cool. Let's bash some heads. I think if we use heat vision, he won't be able to manipulate Cuts and I, but let's not risk it. Good?"

CUTS

"Yea. You got it." Cuts scratched his neck in an animal like manner. "They usually stick to the densely wooded areas. There's only one place I know of close to here that could support them. I'm pretty sure Eevee knows where I'm talkin bout."

EEVEE

Eevee's heart skipped a beat again, and she looked away from him, trying not to relive anymore memories. "Yeah...sure..."

SUREA

Surea was happy to finally be part of the group and she smiled, standing straight and pulling out a dagger. "C'mon ki-Eevee..." She stopped herself from saying the name kitty as Eevee glared at her again, her eyes darker than normal. "Anyways. Let's go!" And with those words she dashed into the woods.

EEVEE

Eevee groaned in annoyance at the Girl's enthusiasm. "Baka...anata wa tsumori anata jishin ga korosareruda..." She said, speaking in another tongue. She liked to speak in a different language sometimes, and it helped take her mind of of things. She walked into the woods where Surea had ran off, Wolf following close behind.

SARTHISS

"Hey Cuts," Sarthiss glanced over his shoulder, "get one of those bigass shots going. Nail that bitch straight in the chest, yea? One shot, one kill." Sarthiss reasoned the less contact they had with the Akumas patriarch the better. A quick shot from cuts would end the fighting quickly.

CUTS

"Good idea bud." Cuts locked both his hands together, moisture snapping and crackling between his fingers. He kept them like that as he followed at the back of the group, but close to Sarthiss: he didn't want to be grabbed from behind again.

SUREA

Surea was farther than the others now, but she stopped once Eevee wasn't in view, knowing that if she wandered too far, she could be attack and no one would have noticed the first time. She turned toward where Eevee should be following behind, and she awaited her approach.

EEVEE

Eevee noticed that Surea had gone far enough and she hoped that the human girl stopped to wait on the others. Eventually, she came out from the trees and saw that she was waiting on her. It was a smart move to make, and it calmed her down, knowing she wouldn't have to chase down an Akuma for the girl.

SARTHISS

Cuts followed Sarthiss, Sarthiss followed Eevee, and Eevee followed Surea. Surea must have known where she was going or else it was sheer dumb luck that he nearly crashed into a hutlike structure. "Fuck." He whispered. They had stumbled upon a throne room of sorts, the big Akuma with his mask sitting atop a throne made of bones and other strange implements. More scrambled around the encampment, carrying this and that, jabbering at eachother angrily, some actually fighting. Sarthiss remained unnoticed. "Cuts..." he whispered, "I have a target." He pointed at the one atop the throne.

CUTS

Cuts nodded and took aim. His eyes narrowed in concentration. A shriek split the air and he accidentially let the shot loose in its direction, the ice brutalizing its owner to an unrecognizable form, even to Akuma standards. He cursed under his breath and let loose two more minor shots at the ones staring at the mutalated corpse, but it was too late. The Akumas began stirring.

EEVEE

Eevee shot Cuts a deadly glare. "Cuts you idiot!" She whispered threateningly. She pulled Surea back, making sure that she wasn't gonna get noticed. It was a lot harder than it seemed to move the stubborn girl, but managed it anyways. She turned back to the Akumas, but saw that the rest have already began searching for the cause.

SUREA

Surea shrugged and looked over Eevee's shoulder, only to have the Neko use it as a warning by hitting her chin to make her back up. Rubbing her neck a bit, Surea continued to gaze at the species.

CUTS

Cuts swore. He was exposed. One of the Akumas pointed in his direction with a trumphant shout, so Cuts sent a bolt of ice his way as well. The ice stabbed the monster in the stomach, and it fell over with a few girgles.

SARTHISS

A group of Akumas started heading towards Cuts, so Sarthiss stepped forwards, using his powers offensively for the first time in a LONG time. Flames coarted his fists, and he swung them in a clockwise manner, spinning around like a firey whirlwind, spitting fireballs from his palms. All that was left of the small group was ash. He now had the attention of the one on the throne. Sarthiss smiled dangerously and cracked his neck. "We've come to kill you. Make this challenging."

SUREA

Surea stares at the leader with an angry look. This wouldn't be a fun day for her because Sarthiss couldn't learn to keep his stupid mouth shut and challenge it. She nearly facepalm, but she didn't because she needed to focus.

EEVEE

Eevee glared at Sarthiss, eyes flashing in anger. "You're just as bad as him!" She said, motioning to Cuts. She noticed that the leader stood up and it was almost like it was accepting the challenge without hesitation, which she knew it was. A growl escaped her throat, and she noticed that it held a hand to the mask strapped around it's face. It was going to remove it, and her instincts kicked in. She looked down a bit, just enough to avoid eye contact.

SARTHISS

Sarthiss's attention was drawn to Eevee at the same time the lead Akuma went to take off the mask. He noticed she was looking at an odd angle, then remembered what she had said. He scooped up some dirt, firing it, making the smaller rocky particles glass. He used it as a mirror to see what the monster was doing. Instead, he saw some more Akumas. Laughing, he turned their way, arms coated with fire.

CUTS

Cuts shot a few ice blasts at the patriarch's hand. Cuts almost never missed except if he was distracted, but with Sarthiss fending off the other akumas he had peace of mind. The first two shots knocked the patriarchs hand away, the third and fourth (being of weaker power due to the rapid use of his icy gift) slamming into its chest, knocking it back a bit. Cuts kept his eyes on the patriarchs hands, ready for another attempt to take off the mask. "Guys, I can keep his hands away from his face for a bit, try to see if you can take him out."

SUREA

Surea looked at Cuts and nodded, looking at the patriarch and then at some nearby Akimas. They mocked her to make a move, but she wasn't intimidated. Instead, she rushed them, dragging out some water and using it like a string or a whip. She strangled one, then another and jumped to avoid a third. She was gonna be busy for a while with these.

EEVEE

Eevee looked at Surea who took on some Akumas, and Sarthiss was busy with some as well. She noticed one was standing on a ledge at a higher level, and it was about to pounce. She reacted by rushing over as it hoped down, baring it's teeth. 'Bad Idea...' She thought, and as she stood behind Sarthiss, facing the Akuma, she pulled the Switch form her pocket and the creature's teeth clanged with the metal, and it tried pushing her back. Another growl rose in her throat, and she snapped it's neck just like earlier.

SARTHISS

Sarthiss decked one of the surrounding Akumas, leaving a charred burning corpse with one powerful punch. He stabbed his flaming arm through another, the tips of his fingers poking out of its back. Sarthiss tripped the third and dropped a knee straight down onto its face, decimating its skull. Sarthiss laughed, noticing a few were gathered around a certain hut, protecting it sort of. He grew a fireball in his hands and approached the dwelling, lumbering to intimidate the surrounding Akumas. "I'll burn it!" he threatened with a wolfish grin, wielding the flames menacingly.

CUTS

Cuts thought it was a smart idea of Sarthiss to threaten the Akumas way of life with the destruction of fire, but his attention was drawn away from the patriarch long enough for him to take off his mask. Cursing, Cuts placed his hands on his face, coating it with a fine sheen of opaque fosted over ice. Swearing, he began using heat vision to observe his surroundings, shooting a few bolts off haphazardly at the patriarch. He was looking straight at him using heat vision, but the ice protected his face from any of the magic Eevee had warned about.

SUREA

Surea noticed that Sarthiss had threatened the Akumas with his fire abilities, which was smart, but dumb at the same time. What was even in there? She didn't care as another one grazed her arm, making a gash just below her shoulder. With one quick movement, she sliced it's chest wide open, allowing for the blood to get everywhere. "Ugh." was all she had to say towards the matter.

EEVEE

Eevee looked at the leader for a split second, but was lucky that her reflexes were quick enough to keep the gaze away form her. She noticed that Cuts had a great method for keeping his gaze fixed on the Akuma that stood tall. Then, she was pulled out of her thoughts when on of the closer ones lunged at her, scratching her arm just like Surea's and sending her back a few feet. She needed to stay more alert, but for now, focus on this. A few strikes to the legs sent the Akuma down with an esr-splitting screech of pain. She let it suffer as another tried to bite her, but failed as the blade met it's skull.

SARTHISS

The akumas didn't seem to be backing down so Sarthiss decided to do what he did best: burn things. He laughed, and threw the fireball at the hut with a flick of his wrist. Flames kindled behind his eyes, his skin took up a reddish tint. Laughing, and still looking away from the patriarch, he began striding around the encampment, walking mind you, just like someone would go for a stroll. His mouth tugged into a maniacal grin as he tossed fire left and right, burning structures, battering away any that came close. "Cuts, gimmie a status update." He called.

CUTS

"He's got the mask off." Cuts said, swirling his jagged mask around and using his claws to stash at a heat signature that came too close. He decided this had gone on long enough. He couldn't kill the patriarch with his shots, he had to get close. Cuts coated his claws in moisture from the arir and froze it, forming talon-like grippers. He charged, but th patriarch was prepared. Skidding to the left streetfighter style, Cuts pushed off the ground, over the patriarchs head, and landed nimbly behind it, his icy face guard still protecting him.

EEVEE

Eevee threw a lunging Akuma to the side, grinding her teeth in annoyance. This was becoming more aggravating by the second. A few more Akumas circled around her like wolves, and they seemed to be making mocking gestures to her that only made it worse. Her reaction resulted in a bloodied jacket and possibly stained fur. She hated to have to deal with these things, and if they bit you, well then you're pretty much screwed.

SUREA

SUREA was busy dealing with her own problems, and one after the other, minions of the leader attacked as best as they could to try and stop her and the others. Useless attempts, yes. But she still needed to keep her guard up, becoming bit was the worst of it.

SARTHISS

As the patriarch turned around to face cuts, Cuts growled, and Sarthiss saw his chance. Grabbing a nearby akuma by the horns and breaking its back over his knee, Sarthiss pulled out a few of the vertibre and threw them like shurikens. Three stuck in its back. Sarthiss turned on his heel as the monster turned back to try to mesmerize him.

CUTS

Cuts saw his chance. He rushed, raking his icy claws up its back and around its neck. The creature bellowed in pain. It would succumb to the wounds before long, he had severed at least one minor artery. He didn't make it out unscathed though, the beast flayed about himself, catching Cuts' shoulder. Ice formed on the wound, leaving a jagged white scar, and Cuts snarled. "Yeh fekin' what, I'll bash ye." Cuts did just that. Ramming his still spiked icy shoulder up into the beasts chest, he knocked it to its back. It had to be finished now. It had to be.

SUREA

Surea saw what had to be the end of the fight, but she thought it wasn't, but was proved wrong again. The beast tried to get back up, but it quickly fell back down onto it's back, howling in pain. A few hell-hounds had ran over, but not to help it. Instead, they tore off raw pieces of flesh with a rabid growl and vicious looks in their eyes. They must've known that they could be freed if they just helped out in the cause.

EEVEE

Eevee tilted her head a bit, seeing that the Hell-hounds had actually helped out in the fight. "Never judging you guys again." She mumbled to herself.

SARTHISS

Sarthiss looked around. Amidst the smoking, rubbled remaints of the akuma settlement, the dark creatures fled. With their leader dead, retaliation was no longer an option. Sarthiss's breathing slowed, a smile spread across his face. But... Sarthiss's mind was in a different place. The burnt out huts spread out before him were now ruined buildings. Blown out shops. Burnt offices. But the part that stood out the most, the akuma patriarchs throne... Was the school. Sarthiss's world stood still, derbies coating the street/ground, bits of ash and smoke suspended in midair. He could hear his own heart thump slowly, steadily. He breathed. The noise of air rushing through his lungs was almost deafening. He looked at his hands. Rivlets of blood, running from his fingertips, dripping down his forearms. Cuts and scrapes, scratches in some places, covered his chest, his back, his once clean pure white shirt torn to shreds, now stained crimson with gore he wasn't even sure was his. His face, arms, legs, all showed some evidence of a struggle. None of the woulds were fatal, but they hurt terribly. The one would that hurt the most however was closed. The nasty scar over his leg, still hidden by his ever present jeans. Where was his jacket? Sarthiss vaugely remembered tossing it to the side in the chaos. He ran a hand through his hair, only succeeding in messing it up more. It stuck up at odd angles, but the middle was ruffled the most, parting in sort of short, barely noticable horns in a way. Sarthiss's breath quickened, then he saw them. His friends. Cuts, Surea, Eevee. They were here for him. But he was the strongest. Probably. He didn't know. His skin glowed red hot, the warmer yellow parts wriggling around, circling him, casting eerie oriental designs across his figure. Where was he? Out in the woods. Away from everyone but these people. This was where he belonged. Sarthiss turned to the trio, bloodstained and tired. "Listen up guys," He said, a bright smile returning to his face. "Good fight. Real good fight. But... That's the last fight I plan to have in a long time. I'm leaving. Forever. Nobody will ever see me, or hear from me again."

CUTS

Cuts was exasperated. He noticed Sarthiss gazing blankly around, in awe even. An expression he never thought to see on the fragile but strong friend of his. Cuts nodded, walking up to the destructive figure and clasping his icy hand on Sarthiss's. Steam hissed off of both their skins, leaving behind a mark of three scratches on Sarthiss's palm and an insignia of a cocky grin on Cuts palm. They shook once and Cuts gave him one of his grimace smiles. "I plan to leave here to. Get back to the streets. Live a little more."

EEVEE

Eevee had no idea how to react. Sarthiss was leaving? As she stared at the two boys for what seemed to be ages, Surea bothered to lightly punch the Neko's arm playfully.

SUREA

Surea smiled at the shocked girl that she had lightly punched in the arm. "Hey. Why you looking so down, kittten?" She knew it probably wasn't the best idea to say that, especially after what happened before. But she thought it would be a nice little joke to lighten the mood.

EEVEE

Eevee looked at the girl with an icy glare, but did nothing except sigh and thought better of trying to teach her a lesson about the nickname. It seemed she would never learn not to call her something like that. Again, she looked back at the boys, saying nothing and waiting for the words to finally collect in the back of her mind, then make their way for her to actually say them. However, nothing seemed to come, and Eevee was stuck with a blank expression left on her face, despite the dark blood scattered across her cheek and clothes.

SARTHISS

Sarthiss's mind was deteriorating. He had to get away from this. The gore. The violence. He felt alive, but he felt... So empty inside. The landscape was still flickering between the two places of destruction. He had decided that the only way he would be able to forgive and forget everything was to simply... Dissapear. Sarthiss's skin cooled down and he wiped off his hand on his jeans. He stepped forwards and cupped Eevee's face in his hand like he always did, staring warmly into her eyes. "Hey. Listen beautiful. I know you're a funny, charming, and cute person. You need to show that to more people." Sarthiss stroked Eevee's cheek with his thumb once, then dropped his hand. Sarthiss smiled and backed up a few feet. This was the only way he would be able to escape everything. But he wasn't sad about leaving. Yes, he would probably never see Eevee, the love of his life, Cuts, his newly aquired 'brother', Surea who he didn't know very well. He would even miss Rou's angry disciplinary attitude. But it was better this way. "May your wits be sharp, and your weapons allways ready." Sarthiss said with a two fingered nonchelant salute. He smiled and threw his head back, feeling the yellow light of the setting sun on his face. His skin smouldered as he dissolved into smoke and ash, spiraling up and away, letting the wind carry him where it pleased.

CUTS

Cuts nodded at Sarthiss's last words, giving him one of his grimace-smiles. "You too brother. You too." He whispered. After a long silence he turned to the girls. "WEEEEllllllllllllll that was eventful." He grunted, "Imma get back to camp, pack my shit up. I'm eighteen, Rou can't make me stay here if I don't want to." Cuts went off towards the direction of the camp. "I'll seeya ladies."

SUREA

Sure smiled at both the boys as they disappeared, but when he heard the empty sigh escape the Neko's lips, she turned to her and noticed the expression left on her face. But it was somewhat empty.

EEVEE

Eevee was sad that Sarthiss left like he did, but she made him a promise to warm up to more people, and show who she was. Maybe Sarthiss had taught her something that she would never have learned before. She didn't know at that moment, but she would learn soon enough. Another pause was left among them before she started walking further into the woods, but was stopped by Surea's calls behind her.

SUREA

"Hey! The camp is that way ya know!" She said with a small smile, making sound like a joke. Eevee didn't talk much, but it's not like she was gonna question her every second of her life.

EEVEE

Eevee looked over her shoulder at the punk-like girl that had just told her something obvious. "I know," She responded. "But that's not my home. My home is here in the woods. It's what I was always used to." And with those words, she walked again, and disappeared into the trees.

SUREA

Surea sighed and smiled wider at the Neko's words. "Whatever, kitten..." She said with a slight giggle at her own joke. She then turned and started walking back to the Camp, and now it seemed, everyone was going their own ways. Well, it Was like that. Eevee went into the woods, Cuts is going back to the streets, and Sarthiss disappeared to...who knows where. But now she was stuck to figure out where she was supposed to go. Another sigh passed her lips. 'I'll just figure out when I get to camp.' She thought.

The camp was peaceful after that. Rou thanked Surea, the only one who came back after the occurrence hence known as the Akuma Incident, and resumed his grumpy disciplinary behavior. Cuts packed his things and returned to the city, joined up with his old gang, living the life full of thrills he always wanted. He integrated the three scratch insignia into all his gang-related activities. Eevee lived happily in the woods with wolf, she had found something nobody else had given her before, freedom. Eventually Surea grew to be of legal age and left the camp much like Cuts did. As for Sarthiss, nobody knows. He stuck to his word, never showing himself to anybody, never interacting with the society he was such an outcast from. There was however, multiple cases where distructive forest fires caused by unresponsible campers suddenly burnt out and died, leaving behind nothing but a small cocky grin in the ashes and warm laugh on the breeze. All said and done, the camp prospered and trained many more young beings to controll their powers, making a positive impact on the entire world.
