When you think gang, the thought of drugs and street shootings probably comes to mind. The picture of teenagers with tattoos and sagging pants probably appears as well. Or, even if you're one of those people who think of more along the lines of the mafia, negative thoughts are still associated with the word.

Would you believe me if I said that there was a gang who's purpose was solely to make the world a better place?

Or that it was full of people who are usually chalked up as "troublesome" or "disruptive"?

Or, maybe that this gang is comprised of teenagers that had yet to step a foot into a proper college? Or, in some cases, reach their senior year in High school?

Would you believe me then?

And no, I'm not just talking about simple fundraiser for charity events, or signing up for everyday community service opportunities. This group takes their job a little further; a bit deeper into the Underground world, if you will. They take on the jobs that normal people wouldn't normally even consider doing; even if it was just thinking over the thrill of it. Whether it be stealing information that could
possibly change how society thinks, hunting down a kidnapped child, or even assassination gigs, they will do it all; if it fits in with their morals.

You have to remember, this is still a "gang." Law-breaking is a frequent occurrence. Even more so than the usual gutter-rat norm.

Alright, next question.

What do you think their symbol is? Every gang has one; something that separates them from their rivals. A color is usually the most common item that these groups use; sometimes they even associate that certain shade with a specific type of clothing as well. So, how about
just an article of clothing? Such as, for example, a hooded sweatshirt?

Would you expect a hardcore, potentially murderous gang to use a plain jacket as their "symbol?" No? Well, that's the point. They're
trying to blend in with society, while using the most subtle signs to pick each other from the rest. They don't use colors, or fancy pieces of jewelry, nor use graffiti in order to mark their territory.

This gang, the "Hoods," is actually pretty small. It consists of only a handful of members, who are actually spread out across the country. Each member has their own group of subordinates, so they're able to cover a lot of ground pretty effectively. The main members are constantly in touch with each other, and update one another almost hourly on information about various jobs and other pieces of business.

So, last question.

What happens when one of their own suddenly goes missing?

First of all. There is no "Leader" for the Hoods. Everyone does there own thing, but follows the general "rules" of the gang.

Rules:

-Do not kill without reason

-Do not sell out other Members/Subordinates

-Never go to the authorities when a mission is in play

-Do not speak of missions or the group in unsecured locations

-Subordinates can only be recruited by existing Members

-Life before the mission

The Hoods mainly function in major cities; most of which have high crime rates. For Example: Seattle, Detroit, LA, Baltimore, etc. (If you wish to watch over a city that isn't listed, and your character is an Official Member, then you may do so.)And, in larger cities, up to
two members can run the Territory.

They keep in touch using specific chatrooms that only the Members have access to. Subordinates have their own means of communication, but are not allowed to view the Member chats. Using these sites, the Hoods keep close tabs on each other and the happenings of other Territories. Some Members have the numbers of others, but prefer to use the secured rooms to talk about "missions."

The knowledge of the Subordinates only really stretches as far as their Territory. They can figure out what's going on in others', but can very rarely figure out what Members exist beyond the one that they follow. It is very rare occurrence when a Sub is freely given information about other Hoods by thei
r commanding Members; and is only really done in times of need.

And then there are the Others.

No one really knows what their motivation is. However, what
is known is that they really don't like the Hoods. So...make out of that what you will.
