Realistic or Modern Holiday Love

Jayden happily obliged to his wife, taking her hand and letting her ride on the board with him, paddling out to wait for a wave and helped Amelia stand when they caught one, a pretty one. Jayden cruised them through the water skillfully and laughed softly at his wife before he kissed her cheek when they reached shallow waters again and repeated the same thing. Her squeals made Jayden laugh as they enjoyed the water they both loved.

Isabel continued to soak in the sun when she overheard Amelia's squeals, watching the couple curiously before she laughed at Dawson's remark. She looked over to him and kissed him gently. "Someone's upset because they lost," she said with a shrug of her shoulders. "Hawaii is relaxing and we needed time alone, that's why I let them bring us. Plus I like the beach myself, remember city boy. I grew up by one," she explained with a wink before she yawned softly. "We can take them to our neck of the woods soon. Promise." She assured him before she slowly began to doze off.

Amelia had never been surfing before and she was enjoying it. The adrenaline rush was there and that was something she went seeking for most of her adulthood. Something about it was exhilarating and reminded her why she loved her life. At the first wave, she nearly toppled over just as Dawson had but smiled when her husband kept a grip on her. She understood why he loved this. Looking out onto the shore she spotted Dawson and Isabel staring back at them and waved cheerfully, the saltwater sticking to her skin. The second time around, however, the wave was a little too deep than what Amelia was prepared to handle and she did fall to the side into the blue depths of the ocean. Before she even had the chance to respond she felt arms pull her back onto the slim board. Looking over to Jayden Amelia laughed at the horror that now glazed his face. "Lighten up, I have a thicker skin than that Texan over there. It's not my first topple into an ocean," she said pulling her husband into a kiss, tasting the saltwater hinted on his lips.

"Are you trying to tell me I'm a sore loser, Isabel?" Dawson asked in a tone of conviction. "Because between the four of us, there are two sore losers in the group and the other one is not in the water right now." Despite his defeat to the ocean, Dawson remained in good spirits because as much as he hated to admit his defeats, he knew this weekend was all in good fun.

Jayden smiled at the kiss and kissed his wife back lovingly, tasting the saltwater that stuck on her lips. Isabel found this to be a good photo and snapped a picture of it before they pulled away. Jayden had noticed and laughed softly before he helped Amelia get situated. "I see our photojournalist never misses the opportunity for a picture," he said with a laugh, smiling a bright smile. "Dawson looks a little upset, don't you think? The poor Texan probably isn't enjoying the beach and the ocean," he added with a shrug of his shoulders.

Isabel laughed at her husband before she looked over at him and kissed him gently after cupping his face. "Shh, Mr. Covington, you are not a sore loser," she said gently. "You can be but not right now. Those two needed this away time and you know it'll be fun for all of us. We just get a little competitive. It's in our blood," she told him with a shrug of her shoulders. "You're an amazing man, city boy. When can we go back to Dallas? I'd love to stop and see the place where it all started for me again," she explained. Isabel couldn't believe how long it had been since she lived in Dallas and was barley getting her name out there.

Amelia looked over towards her best friend and shook her head. "There's no off switch for your calling, Jayden," Amelia said with a laugh,"Dawson will be fine. He's swimming for sympathy so Bel can give him more than a quickie," she said as her husband made their way back to the shore.

"We'll go back soon," Dawson reassured her looking over her shoulders at the pictures of Amelia and Jayden. You could tell that couple loved each other. Even when they disagreed, the love they had for each other stayed aflame in their gazes for one another. Dawson knew Amelia loved Jayden because she looked at Jayden the same way Isabel looked at him "What did we even get Jayden, anyway?" Dawson asked curiously.

Jayden laughed at his wife and shook his head as they walked back to the shore. "More then a quickie huh? Can I get more then a quickie myself?" He asked her with a grin, picking her up and carrying her to their spot where the Covington's were soaking in the sun. Isabel looked so relaxed, it was something Jayden hadn't seen in quite awhile for the photojournalist. They all needed this vacation.

Isabel continued to soak in the sun and before the Acciolli's arrived back, Isabel smiled. "We got him a jersey. An ugly Kings jersey," she said with a face of disgust before she looked at dawson and smiled. "Speaking of, we need to go to a Stars game soon. You're slacking, Texan," she said with a laugh and smiled gently before she kissed his cheek and smiled at the couple that walked over.

"Well well, nice to see the Covington's are doing well," Jayden said with a laugh, giving them a knowing grin. "Are y'all relaxed? Im going to go inside with Amelia for a bit before the luau. Are y'all Texan's alright out here on the beach?" He asked with a laugh at Dawson's glare and Isabel shake of her head.

"Keep it up and you won't get your gift from us," Isabel threatened before she yawned and stood up. "I think my husband and I will head in as well. I'm sleepy. Take care of my drunk best friend, ya hear."

Amelia hit her husband playfully in the chest at his suggestion. "Keep suggesting it and you won't get anything," Letting him carry her she smiled towards her best friend and Dawson enjoying their rare moment of pure leisure together. "Haha, you're sooooo funny Bel," Amelia replied towards her best friend playfully before she was put back to her feet in the hot sand. "Enjoy your nap, but don't be late." Gathering her things Amelia looked towards Dawson, resting a hand on his shoulder. "Thank ya for being such a good sport. Love you!" Reaching into her purse, she handed her dear friend the paper confirming the Covington's reservations for their wine tasting tour. "Have fun y'all, and bring back some of the good stuff, since you take so much pride in knowing your drinks I expect nothing less from ya. I am going to take a shower and find some lunch. We'll see you tonight."

Isabel looked at the confirmed reservation paper for a wine tasting and shook her head as the Acciolli's left. Bel looked at her husband before she smiled and kissed him gently. "Let's go get ready for this tour? Can you name more wines than me?" She asked him with a laugh at their competitive nature before she walked into their hotel room together and set down all their stuff, taking a deep breath before she yawned. "Join me for a shower?" She asked her husband with a grin, kissing him lovingly and a bit roughly before she pulled away while biting his lip. "Please?"

Jayden smiled as he and Amelia went back to their room. While Amelia showered, Jayden laid in bed and yawned softly as he listened to music and enjoyed the peace and serenity he got while being here. This birthday was a relaxing one and one he would never forget. he closed his eyes and was about to fall asleep until he felt the bed shift. He opened his eyes and smiled at his wife and her beauty, taking her hand in his and kissed it gently. "I love you," he said softly, pulling her close against him as he closed his eyes. "I say we order room service then nap while the Covington's enjoy their wine tasting."

"If we're being honest, very few people can name more wines than you can, Mrs. Covington." Taking her hand, he led her back to their room where Isabel was trying to seduce him and not to her surprise it worked. Nodding at her playful plea. "If ya want me too," he replied with a wink, following after her, kissing her neck roughly.

"What do you want?" Amelia asked sweetly pulling the room service menu off the bedside table and laying it on the bed in between them while still letting him hold her hand. "Chicken sounds so good right now," Amelia suggested with a yawn. Her husband was right. Her fun in the sun took a toll on her but she knew she would be fine for later. Running her fingers along Jayden's arms she smiled when he closed his eyes again. "What's the matter did them Texans tire ya out?"

Isabel smiled when her husband followed her into the shower and she enjoyed the kisses he gave along her neck. He knew how to make her feel like the only girl alive and she smiled as he put soap in her hair and massaged out her scalp. "I've always loved when you do this," she said softly, closing her eyes as she was able to relax. Dawson amazed Isabel and how well he knew her. He was her soulmate, the man she was destined to have a forever with and she was glad she found him.

Jayden closed his eyes once more after glancing at the room service menu with his wife. He let out a soft sigh as he tried to relax and nodded at what Amelia said. "Yeah. Those waves her killer today and paddling out to the water really exhausted me," he explained with a yawn. "Let's order the chicken for lunch then we can sleep," he said with a hopeful grin before he looked at Amelia once more and kissed her gently. "I love you. I'll call in our order right now."

"Do you?" Dawson asked with a sly smirk while he rinsed the shampoo out of her hair and turned her to face him, pulling her into a deeper kiss. "Do you like that too?" Dawson asked, staring down at Isabel with a deep dept of love and desire.

"I love you too, I'm sorry we exhausted you. It was supposed to be relaxinggggg," she said rubbing his back sympathetically while he ordered their food. Sitting up, she rested her chin on his shoulder, kissing his neck. "Are you having fun?"

Isabel smiled at the kiss she shared with her husband. He was so amazing and when they pulled away, she looked at him and nodded while biting her lip. "I love those more than anything else," she explained, wrapping her arms around his neck before she kissed him back just as deep as the water hit them both. She loved moments like this and when she pulled away, she admired the man before her with nothing but an intense love and passion. "You're my world, Dawson Covington."

Jayden smiled at his wife as he ordered their food. He enjoyed the little kiss he received and sighed from contentment. "It was very relaxing. I haven't surfed in awhile," he explained before he yawned. "But I am enjoying myself. Very much so. We all needed this time away so thank you, my lovely wife."

The two couples enjoyed their afternoons together before they were to meet again. Jayden and Amelia napped peacefully in each other's arms while Bel and Dawson enjoyed their excellent wine tasting. As the evening approached, Amelia got herself ready for the dinner. Dressing in a Hawaiian floral patterned dress and straightened her hair. When she finished, she walked into the room she shared with her husband and gently waked him from his nap. Nudging him gently she kissed his lips. When he opened his eyes she smiled. "Wake up Prince Charming, there's a birthday dinner waiting for you and you won't want to miss it."

When Jayden felt lips upon his own, he opened his eyes and smiled at Amelia, kissing her gently before she pulled away from him. "Can I sleep for five more minutes?" He asked her softly with a laugh before he sat up and stretched out his arms. "I'm looking forward to this birthday dinner," he said with a smile. "Bel said it'll be one to remember and I believe that," he added before he kissed Amelia again and went to get dressed for the luau. He decided to put on another pair of khaki shorts and the shirt Amelia picked out for him personally. When he was finished, he took her hand and smiled. "Lead the way," he told her as his smile never faded.

"As you wish," Amelia whispered leading the couple down into the gardens of their hotel where the luau was taking place. Tiki torches lightening the path, casting a natural elegant glow on the stage. It was perfect, even over looking the ocean, the hint of salt lingering in the warm breeze. As Amelia walked down the path she smiled happily being escorted in on her husband's arm while the performers all greeted him in a graceful hello and wishing him a happy birthday. Being shin to their seats Amelia smiled again when their drinks she requested were waiting for them. She wanted the night to be perfect. Jayden deserves nothing less

Jayden smiled gently as he followed his wife out to where the luau dinner for his birthday was taking place. He loved what he saw, the tiki torches and the performers. He loved the hint of salt that lingered in the air and when they sat down, he smiled as he saw their friends waiting. "Don't you two look comfortable? Did y'all enjoy the wine tasting?" He asked them before he sat down and took in the scenery of the luau.

Isabel smiled at the couple before she nodded. "The wine here is heavenly. We have two bottles for tonight that I know y'all will enjoy," she said with a wink before she snuggled closer to Dawson. "This is a great dinner, Amelia. Jayden deserves it though."

Amelia looked over to Bel and nodded in agreement. "He deserves more than this but I hope this pleases him," she replied with a bright smile as she waited for the festivities to begin. She couldn't get over how perfect the night was. As thier dinner options were brought to them Amelia didn't hesitate in picking the fish option. She was hoping to not be disappointed this choice, but she knew she wouldn't regret it. Looking over to Dawson she watched him place a real lei around his wife's neck. They were adorable. As she was handed one, she turned to her husband and placed it gently around his neck. "It matches your shirt," she said with an accomplished grin.

Isabel smiled at the lei that was placed around her neck by Dawson. She watched as Amelia placed hers around Jayden and laughed softly at how well it matched Jayden's shirt. Jayden smiled at his wife and kissed her gently before he placed one around her neck. "I love you." He said softly as they all sat together and enjoyed one another's company. Isabel did the typical chicken entree and Dawson was always the opposite and got the beef option. Jayden chose the fish like his wife and when their food arrived, he was excited to eat it. "It looks amazing," he said happily and immediately took a piece and ate it, humming in satisfaction. "Perfect."

Amelia was overjoyed with Jayden's content. She wanted this birthday to be one that he would remember for the rest of his life, and as the show started, she turned towards the stage to watch. Towards the end she smiled when a man left the stage and grabbed her by the hand, a woman following behind with Jayden, before the traditional island music was replaced with the couples weddikf song. Amelia laughed again at her husband's expression when he pulled her into dance, and at the same exact moment, the ocean behind them lit up in the same fluorescent blue that gave Amelia's heart to Jayden. Turning them to face the watersi he could see, she kissed his cheek. "Happy birthday."

Jayden was rather curious when he heard his and Amelia's wedding song. He knew she had to be up to something but he pulled Amelia close against him and began to dance with her happily. At that moment, he admired the ocean and felt the tears stream down his face before he looked at Amelia again. "Thank you, I love you," he said with nothing but admiration and love as he pulled her into a kiss. "You made the ocean light up for me just like I did for you. I'm glad you enjoy the blue ocean like I do," he said with a wink, kissing her again before he looked out into the ocean with Amelia and held her hand tightly.

Amelia cupped her husband's face, wiping away the tears that stained his cheeks, looking up at him with all the love she felt for the man that stood before her. "I only light up the ocean for people I want to spend the rest of my life with," she whispered as they continued to sway to the song that welcomed them to their union. She hoped this reaffirmed for him after everything they went through, she still loved him and wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. After what she went through, she learned to appreciate this moment even more than before, because a few months ago, she didn't think she would live to see another day with Jayden in it.

Jayden's smile never faded as he heard what Amelia had to say. This entire trip was one he would remember for the rest of his life. It meant a great deal to him to be here with his wife and two close friends. It made him feel younger and reassured him no matter what happened previously, he and Amelia would be alright. As they swayed to the music that was meant for them, he smiled over at Dawson and Isabel who watched the. Purple happily. It was a beautiful fight to see and when the song ended, Jayden continued to hold Amelia close against him. "I love you, Amelia Acciolli," he whispered softly and kissed her gently, leading her back to the table where Isabel was already asleep against Dawson. She hadn't been feeling well for some reason but she didn't want it to ruin anything for Jayden.

"Did the photojournalist finally get tired? This is weird. Isabel never sleeps unless she's not feeling well," Jayden said as he looked at Dawson curiously before he pulled Amelia close against him and held her. "Hawaii was a nice choice, love," he assured her as the three that were awake mingled.

Amelia looked onto her best friend and knew something was off. Biting her lip, she smiled and nodded at her husband's praise. "I'm glad you're enjoying it," she whispered, sharing a look of concern with Dawson. "We should let the Texans go, they have had a long day of putting up with us," she suggested gently while Dawson nudged his wife awake. When she opened her eyes Dawson took her hand under the table, leaning into her and asking if she was okay, knowing she wasn't. "Let's go love, it's getting late and we both could use some sleep. Thank you for the dinner, Amelia and happy birthday, Jayden. I hope your wife gives you what you've been pining for," Dawson replied with a wink giving them both goodnight hugs and agreeing tp let Amelia know if anything was to be concerned about before he carried his wife back to their room. Setting her on the bed, he took off her shoes and looked up at her with a slight look of concern, seeing she was struggling to keep her eyes open. "Are you sure you're okay, love?" Dawson asked going to retrieve some water for her.

Isabel hadn't been feeling well because she had a migraine. She felt it coming when she got ready for the dinner luau and she was able to hide the pain rather well until the very end it became too much to bare. She couldn't keep her eyes open because the light made it worse and when Dawson carried her to their room, she curled against him and tried not to cry. When she felt the cushion of the bed, she bit her lip as she looked at him and shook her head, curling into a tight ball. "No, I have a migraine," she explained simply and sat up to drink the water he brought her. "I feel dirty from the sand," she told him with a light laugh but soon sighed.

Rolling up his sleeves Dawson walked into the bathroom and turned on the shower, letting the steam roam. Walking back into the room he dimmed the lights and picked her up in his arms and helped her undress before he felt her to soak in the warm water. Finding her purse he scrummaged through it to find what he needed, closing all the curtains and turning down the AC Dawson went back to his wife and handed her her medication for her migraine, "Take this," the pilot whispered gently as he sat on the counter while they both breathed in the steam from the shower. When she finished in the shower, Dawson carried Isabel to bed and placed ice around her neck before he curled back beside her and rubbed her back for comfort. "I'm here," he whispered reassuringly while he did his best to comfort her.

Everything Dawson did was an action that only proved his love. Isabel adored the man she married and she smiled gently as she laid in bed with him curling next to her. "I love you," she whispered softly before she abandoned the ice pack he placed around her neck and curled up tight against the pilot. She shut her eyes tightly as she tangled herself against Dawson and calmed her breathing to match his as the migraine continued to torture her. She hated migraines and she had been doing so well in not having any. She didn't know why she had one but she was grateful Dawson was with her and cared for her the way he did. As she held his hand, she opened her eyes and met his gaze, her light smile never fading. "Thank you. Your patience with me is impeccable," she said with a chuckle.
