Caught in a storm
It was 2020. It was September 1st. Many students were set to arrive at Hogwarts. The Hogwarts Express would be taking off. Students would arrive at the Express being sent off by relatives and loved ones.

There was just a couple of weeks before summer would be considered over. Unknown to those at Hogwarts, A rising syndicate was preparing to reveal itself. The peaceful era was for the most part intact since the death of Voldemort. Some had argued that it was possible that Voldemort could've lived however the decades that had passed had silenced any who argued such a thing. However recent attacks on Magical Creatures had led some to question whether they were simply regular terrorist attacks or an indication of an end of peace.

For most of the wizarding world however times had been pleasant and remained peaceful. Students would begin to board the Hogwarts Express, getting ready to talk to old and new friends.\

Hogwarts wasn't somewhere Clairabelle was sure she was ready to return to already. She hadn't exactly had the best ending to her last year with her friend group. She had begun to realize that she ended up quite popular, although that wasn't by intention, yet her own bright and intelligent personality and naivety of things going on made her quite approachable. It wasn't supposed to be like this but whenever students were allowed to wear something besides their uniform she ended up wearing what she had received from her mother and naturally people wanted to know where she got it from
Still arriving at the express wasn't exactly something she was looking forward to. Luckily for her very few people seemed to be arriving yet and it wasn't difficult to find an empty booth to herself.
Her mind wandered to the patronus spell, it was definitely her current favorite spell right now, for months now she had been trying to learn it on her own. It was a classic subject and one that she enjoyed. To be honest she loved protective charms. She didn't quite think she was ever quite good at them but the idea of using magic defensively always seemed more interesting than using it offensively. Perhaps she was just a fan of the more mysterious things in life. She never strayed too far from the light but admired the darker sides of things.
