Astra let out a small strangled cry of joy as she clung to Rufus's back. Her hair was standing up now, charged by some unknown force (Or just her excitment). In her hand was a small stick, fairly useless, but the other campers were always reluctant to hit a small child.

The horn sounded, and chaos began.

As the horn sounded August took off in a dead sprint into the woods dragging Marlin behind him, "It's probably on Zeus' fist, we'll have to cross the creek and trek through the woods then-" he trailed off as he saw Rufus and Astra and he slowed to a stop spinning his sword in his right hand

As soon as the horn sounded, Rufus ran into the woods. He would go offensive today. Astra was still on his back "Hold on tight and be my second pair of eyes" He smiled, the girl could be quite useful.
In the corner of his right eye he spotted Marlin and August. He took his polearm loosely in one hand "What will you do Astra? Should I put you in a tree and give you some rocks you can trow on them?"
He changed direction a little, he searched for a nice big tree to put Astra in.
If August and Rufus would ran at the same speed and direction as they now were doing they would meet at an open space.

Marlin continued to be dragged along by the boy. She didn't mind though, she had no idea where anything was. Even after being at camp so long, she couldn't remember where anything was. The boy suddenly stopped, and Marlin shortly after. She saw Astra and Rufus nearby. She took out a shield, ready to fight.

Astra smacked Rufus in the head with her stick, finding him annoying now for suggesting rocks. No way was she doing that. Nope, she climbed down from his shoulders and began running. As soon as she was out of view, Astra was climbing up the trees. It may not have looked like it, but she could climb easily like the air wouldn't let her fall, which it wouldn't. She was even able to run from tree to tree with this help, making her silent and nearly undetectable. After all, no one would think to look up.

August spun his sword in hand and pushed Marlin behind him, "Alright, time for a little rumble. I'll handle this you keep pushing for the flag" he said

Austin stared with a raised eyebrow, but merely shrugged it off and continued to make the waves rise and fall making it difficult to cross at some points. "Don't worry guys, ain't no people going to get past me without a shower."

Kiara had a hard time believing she was on Athena's team. What could she possibly do to benefit the game? Hide in trees?

Derek knew he would get stuck being a distraction again, so he wasn't happy. He was also very confused about that girl that just ran into him.

Rufus looked evilly to Astra when she smacked his head "Hey! Were on the same team, Follow Marlin!"
But well, at least she was 'safe' He took a last sprint, well, It wasn't a sprint, it was flying towards the open spot. He arrived earlier than August. Rufus spaced his feet, he held the pole-arm diagonally behind his head with two hands, when August would arrive at the open space, he would slash in the air, creating a blade of wind going in the direction of August.

Nikita strode along the river, paying close attention so as not to muddy her boots. She could hear others in the distance but had yet to encounter them. The brilliant sunlight was enjoyable and also made her thankful for her wide brimmed hat and heavily applied sun lotion. After stopping a moment to admire her reflection and adjust her hair, she noticed other campers a short distance away. She froze, nervous for the potential of a confrontation--she hadn't heard what team she was even supposed to be on and had no ideas of strategy.

Laura twirled her spear and brandished her shield. She was within the battlements near the flag, sending out troops with guidance and assistance from her fellow leaders.

"I want the river as a main outpost. Poseidon can set up perimeters. For the most part, everyone is already doing their job so this is good." Laura said to her comrades. "I'll stay to guard the flag. I'm in no mood to rush the battlefield for glory."

'Well, I'm not gonna argue." Marlin thought as she ran around August, heading towards where he described the flag to be. Obviously, she couldn't outrun the kid, but she could defend whatever she threw.

Astra suddenly dropped down behind Laura, picking up the flag and just staring at her for several long moments. She had an advantage of being little, something others really would hesitate to hit. After sticking her tongue out at the elder girl, she took the flag and scrambled up a tree, nearly dropping it several times. As she took off through the branches, a sign above her head began to glow and her hair frizzed with electricity. She came to a sharp stop, dropped the flag, and let out a strangled scream of pure terror as she swatted the lightning bolt. Astra actually flipped off the sign for a moment before screaming again.

Laura's eyes went dark with annoyance. It's you again.

She lifted her spear, ready to peg the girl on the shirt to immobilize her when the little girl screamed at being claimed, which was all to apparent to her. Laura ran to the flag, retrieving it and then returned it to it's place. She paused a moment to observe the frightened girl.

"Congrats. I guess." Laura said although also muttering. "...brat.."

Nikita released a startled shriek in response to the scene before her, just a short distance away. She watched the girl's opposing team member retrieve her flag and run off. Unsure how to proceed, she scanned the forest. The young girl hadn't been alone (or her teammates weren't too far off, at least) but Nikita still wondered if she should check on her. Being claimed was probably stressful for some, but Nikita wouldn't know--being claimed by Aphrodite had been nothing but pleasant. She was sure the girl's young age would also make it a harder experience but, given the girl's actions leading up to this, she was probably capable of handling herself. Nikita also began to consider the possibility of electrocution from this obviously upset girl and retreated to a safer distance.
