  • Wraps the entire arena in hundreds of massive acid-coated tentacles emanating from the ground and walls to form a closed cage to strangle the enemy and melt them with poison. Also extremely draining, though not quite enough to knock him unconscious.


Personality: Charming, witty, and highly intelligent, but cold and uncaring most of the time. His temper is very explosive, and though this is usually a disadvantage of his, it can also fuel him to go even harder when he needs to. Confident and aggressive, exploiting any weak point to it's fullest extent and overwhelming his enemies. In battle, he is utterly focused, and a master tactician. His magic is rarely too weak to fit into his plans, but when it is he is utterly dumbfounded. His charming and funny exterior is really only a husk. Inside, he's deeply arrogant, hate filled, and uncaring to the troubles of others. However, on the outside, he appears to be a very kind, charming, and even jovial person. A capable leader that will sacrifice ANYTHING for victory if necessary.


History: Jack grew up in a small village, without much there. The only town artifact was a yellow cloak that was worthless. Nobody could channel it. However, Jack found he had the ability to channel the energy within the cloak itself, and was sent to a magic academy where he learned how to control the magic even better. Soon, he outclassed even the professors in proficiency. Well, most proffesors. One day, while bragging of his prowess, and how he could defeat any teacher in a duel, professor Halifax overheard. Aiming to teach hom a lesson in humility, and also outraged at his arrogance, he challenged Jack to a duel. It was a brutal, grueling fight on both sides, but the professor finally surged too much magic for Jack to block, ripping his mouth horribly. After that, he swore he'd never be defeated again in his life. Even after healing magic, he still has a scar on his lip. He worked twice as hard after that, developing his powers far beyond anything the University had ever seen. Looking for a challenge, he decided to compete in the tournament, and prove hes the greatest wizard of all time.

  • Minor Powers:


Emotion Absorption - The ability to perceive and sense the emotions of creatures whom surround him. The radius of this ability is approximately 50 feet and it makes it very difficult to sneak up on him. Unless you are able to completely mask your presence, he will know where you are with this ability. He has to shut his eyes and focus when utilizing it, it is exceptionally difficult to actually pinpoint where someone is when there is a large crowd surrounding him.


Telekinesis -The power to manipulate objects/matter with the mind. It is his main method of attack and self defense. The mind is a muscle, and overusing it will result in mental exhaustion. Extortion may result in short term memory-loss or even blindness. His limit is nearly 400 pounds now, attempting to pick up much more than that will render him unconscious and cause permanent damage to his mind. Furthermore, he can not interact with anything living using this ability.


Intangibility - This ability allows him to phase through any form of matter, temporarily fading from the physical plane. This allows him to easily dodge attacks despite how slow he is. However, he can only maintain this form for exactly 2 seconds, no more no less. Furthermore, he is immobile whilst using this and will reappear in the exact same spot. He can only use this ability every 10 seconds, so clever opponents can take advantage of this and land a sure-hit.

  • Major Power:Up to 2 allowed, takes more energy and harder to master.


Mind Control - This power lets him exhort supremacy among any living creature. Whilst utilizing his ability his mind leaves his body, meaning it is defenseless and unconscious. If he is killed while in the body of another life form, his mind is permanently destroyed leaving his body in a vegetable state for an eternity. The ability can be maintained for a mere 10 minutes. If his real body is destroyed, then the person whom he was controlling will regain control and Shiro will expire. When his mind returns to his body, his victim remembers no events that had transpired during that time period. The connection does not dissipate instantly after mind control ends, there is a brief 5 minute period where both the target and Shiro's fates are intertwined. If his target is slain during this period, so is he. (Will likely only use this on NPCs, unless someone is willing to let me use it on their character for plot reasons or whatever.)


Temporal Shift - Shiro channels and shifts in to a terrifying, distorted figure that increases his psychic abilities. Limbs amputated from this beast will quickly regrow, although its mobility is limited. As it is top heavy, it is easily knocked down and will struggle to get up. Whatever cunning that he had dissipates and he is unable to tell friend from foe.


Personality:


The parasite known as Go often draws from the human memories that remain from the boy who was named Shiro. He is generally kind when he is talking to others, much like the human whom had formerly lived in the body. More perceptive people are able to tell that there is something bizarrely sinister resting in that feigned kindness.Go himself however, is uncaring towards other creatures. He does not hate them, but he merely is more concerned about himself and his own survival. Go is cunning, and deceptive, and he is willing to use whatever means necessary to acquire a certain prize.


History:


The human body shares 2 minds, one of a young man, and the other is an otherworldly parasite. Whilst that man goes by Shiro, the parasite goes by the name Go. Shiro was the simple son of a blacksmith and a gardener. His father was not a notorious blacksmith by any means, but he will still quite respected. He did not forge glamorous weapons used by mighty heroes, but his steel was still strong. His mother had grown vegetation and had held a small stall where she had sold her produce. They had made enough to support themselves, and a little extra, giving Shiro the opportunity to live a quiet but still good life.


He had a lot of free time to explore, he had never knew any formal form of education giving him plenty of free time. He liked to travel up mountains and hills and in to caves, scavenging for any rocks that caught his eye to bring them home and add to his collection. One day in his travels he noticed a spark far away, a spark that had caught his eye. He was naive and sought adventure, so he traveled further than he ever should to reach it.


The cave where he saw the flash of light looked dark and even more foreboding than usual. But still, he persisted, and he entered the mouth of the cave. As he traveled deeper it had became bizarrely dark, considering that the sun had freshly awakened. In the center of the cave he discovered what had given off that beautiful little spark, an orb that was mounted on a stone pillar. It was a small light being consumed by darkness around it. He drew closer, to touch it...


The instant he touched it, the orb shattered, and darkness had fully consumed the area. A strange creature wrapped around his body and he was unable to run. His screams echoed off the walls but remained unheard. A sharp object pierced his skull and entered his mind, and then he was born anew.


The parasite had only one goal in mind, he needed to retrieve a powerful object hidden away in a formerly undiscovered land.

Distinguishing Marks: Lia has freckles all over her body and face as well as a scar on the right side of her neck.


Clothing: She typically wears an off-white nobleman's blouse with dark, high-waisted riding pants, but these are often covered by a long, dark green, hooded robe.


Armor: Lia wears a leather undershirt with a (tasteful)metal armor piece protecting her chest and shoulder. A cape is attached to the shoulder piece and bears her family sigil, a red snake in a backwards "S" position. Riding pants are still her preferred pant-type. She is often seen wearing a red, elven helmet, but sometimes opts for visibility over protection.

An elven bow is her go-to weapon, but when attackers get too close, she has a matching dagger that she has spent several years attempting to master(though she is not quite skilled with it yet).


Magic:

  • Minor Power: Fortune's Vision - Lia can improve her accuracy by 20% by uttering an incantation just before releasing her arrow(only works for bow and arrow)
  • Minor Power: Power of the Beast - Lia's much more likely to cause fatal damage by saying an incantation just before attacking.


Personality: Thalia has always felt different from the rest of her people. Wood elves were very territorial and aggressive towards each other, but she never saw the importance of it all. Lia prefers to look at everything on a larger scale, like a bird's eye view. She's always attempted to be diplomatic and understanding when faced with problems of her own and those of others'. She's always been very artistic, even to the point of designing her own bow. She prefers bows to other weapons because of the ability it gives her to see the battle in it's whole as well as the grace the user needs to wield it well. She practices with it(and her dagger) every day, in order to someday do some good for her land as a whole.


She also is very intuitive and keen. She knows a lot about the history of Wolke - the stories of heroes and Emperors always intrigued her. She has also studied what there is to study about Driesen, though many books she read are just speculation.


Lia does not excel at common sense, however. She often makes very bad decisions that many would easily see past. And while, her grace on a horse and with her bow is remarkable, she can often be found stumbling over her words as well as her feet.


History:

Thalia'Sur was born into the family Unber, a wood elf tribe that was once considered the richest and noblest of the Wood Tribes(which were really just the same as the "Houses" of the humans. Thalia lived in a castle, too.) While still young, she learned to play the harp, use a bow, and ride horseback(both in a ladies' position as well as the typical position).


But once the Wood Tribes began fighting amongst each other for supremacy when she was 14, most of her family was killed but for her father, her two younger brothers, and herself. She learned to fight during this time period, but didn't become terribly skilled until she settled down with her family in the ghettos of Deltown, the largest city in Wolke beside the capital.


She apprenticed with a skilled carpenter between the ages of 15 and 18, and her father eventually saved enough money to pay for the archery and combat lessons she had begged for. Eventually, Lia crafted her own bow and the hilt of her dagger.


At 19, Lia left home once again, to head for the capital, Lobaiser, to take part in the Tournament to explore Driesen with the most powerful beings from her blessed country.

Magic: Intoxicating Air Mimicry


  • Minor Powers: Tunnel Vision - Ziegels skin vaporizes and releases a foul gas that warps the vision of his opponent, Other abilities are significantly less effective for ten minutes.
  • Disturbing Visage - Ziegels body warps into a disturbing figure before vanishing and appearing out of thin air, only moves moderate distances and diminshes physical ability.
  • Major Power: Temper Tantrum - Ziegel becomes enraged and throws a fit before exploding into a huge ball of dust, opponent becomes very intoxicated and moves slowly for a short period of time. Ziegels powers take fifteen minutes to recharge before he is able to use them again.


Personality: Ziegel is a vile creature that behaves erratically. Seclusion from the known world has caused Ziegel to feel isolated thus he has become very territorial over the years and violently assaults those who pass by the mountain. Mountain goblins are very immature creatures, Ziegel is no exception for he is obnoxious and an irritant by nature. Crafting weapons is a favorite past time of Ziegels as he is known to create devices of torture that can fit his fingernails.


History: Imagine you were told of a tale about an ancient creature, an aggresive beast renown for mauling any living being within its sight. A creature that freely roamed the Earth while all others avoided its massive trail, marking death to those who cross paths with it. The other creatures found the beast unfit to roam the Earth they live in and drove it to a cave out of sheer spite for the beast. A thousand years have passed and people claim the monster can be found in the mountains deep within the caves breeding an enormous flock! Ziegel the Vicious is one of the offspring of the ancient creature that is the mountain goblin,though the ancient beast has since passed these villainous creatures still breed and attack wandering fools who step too close to home. Ziegel longs for an adventurous life outside the cavern he has resided in for 11 years. In an attempt to gather participants for a gladiator tournament Fifteen knights entered Ziegels lair, after an hour long fight they managed to incapacitate him, only after losing eight men however. Ziegel awakes in a prison cell as he awaits a fight.

Armor: the same outfit, but with a steel cuirass beneath his robe, and leather leggings.


Weaponry: A regular mace. Not the spray kind, the bludgeony kind.


Magic: Cleric magic, ranging from healing to smiting, up to resurrecting the dead.

  • Minor Power:
  • 1- Healing: Through prayer, Klaus can heal and mend injuries on himself or his allies. If spread amongst more than one person at a time, the healing does less for them, unless more time is placed into it.
  • 2- Smiting: If a creature is willingly Evil in alignment, Klaus can use offensive lightning based magic that harms a foe. The greater the evil, the greater the pain. Completely useless on things that are decidedly Neutral or Good.
  • 3- Buffs and Debuffs: Through his Cleric magic, Klaus can embody his allies and their weapons with some sort of power. Similarly, he can also strip power away from enemies, or cancel out their own buffs. These buffs and debuffs, however, are lucky to last more than 30 seconds.
  • Major Power:
  • 1- True Resurrection: Via ritual, Klaus can communicate with dead souls in the Afterlife, and bring a soul back from there and into a body. This process is an hour long ritual, therefore is useless in battle. It also requires physical materials: Bright chalk, and the body of the deceased person. There are other factors involved in this as well. The person being revived must have been dead for 100 years or less, and must also consent to the resurrection. If revived, all bodily injuries are healed, and all memory and previous skills are retained. This ritual can only be used once a week.


Personality: On the outside, Klaus seems rather bubbly and easy to please, if not a tad quirky. When faced with an enemy, though, another side of the Doctor is released. He reveals his true colors as a sadistic, cruel and downright insane instrument of pain, seemingly relentless until something falls down. Foes that Klaus defeats are often left alive to be painfully tortured, as Klaus takes great pleasure in seeing blood and inflicting pain. So great is this affection for pain, that it often turns into a morbid affection for the one injured. As a healer and a legitimate doctor, Klaus knows that friends need to be healed, though often he takes his sweet time healing them, or does not finish the job, taking the time to marvel at their wounds.


When not fighting, Klaus' instability still shows, as he often grows detached from reality, and typically murmurs his own surname Klaus to himself, calling it "his favorite word".


History: Born to the bloodline of a once legendary Cleric, Heinrich grew up in a house with two mothers. There was Gertrude Klaus, a local militiawoman, and Mildred, an obese butcher with a mental defect.


One day, Mommy Mildred lost herself to the craze, and carved a smile into her son, Heinrich. When Gertrude found out about this, she reluctantly killed her spouse, and raised Heinrich alone. When he came of age, the young Klaus joined up with a religious Inquisition, that prayed to Saint Cuthbert, the God of Knowledge and Common Sense. It was with this Inquisition that Klaus was molded into a Cleric, and trained to torture heathens without pity or hesitation. As of today, Klaus fulfills his duty as a Healer and gatherer of knowledge, but his personal goals lie elsewhere. He wishes to learn more of his ancestor, and retrieve his rumored magical weapon...

Personality:
Lyarra is in all respects one that lives to get things done, and things done quickly and well. She's hardworking, determined, and a tad prudent. It's hard for her to just take a week off to relax, unless that week's filled by doing something else to occupy her time. She's a busybody, selling and trading her talents for folks who need something done. It's hard for her to stay still, she needs to be doing something, and will often work to the point of exhaustion. But, what she really wants done is to avenge the murder of her family; and that's really her driving force in what's made her who she is.


History: Who she was, was some little girl who narrowly escaped the slaughter at Springhall. By some miracle she wasn't eaten by wolves in the first fortnight of being alone, and soon found herself under the care of an old man who taught her. Over the span of years, she learned how to wield her blade with a fierce accuracy, to fight like there is no tomorrow, and how to survive a magic attack. The old man was a wizened wizard who took great pride in forcing her to accomplish seemingly stupid tasks like: polishing the stone of the cave, hauling water in a holey bucket, and going on literally pointless errands. These tasks that seemed more like chores, had prepared her to fight in some way or another. Or maybe the man really liked fire peppers. Who knows?

Armor: Anne's clothes are actually lightly armored as is, and as such is pretty much the only armor she ever wears for ease of movement. It's not exactly heavy armor, but it will protect against light blows and lessen damage from others.


Weaponry:


Magic:
Arcus Diabolus is the name of her magic as well as the weapons she wields to use it. Her magic is fairly unique, her and three others being the only ones able to use it. Weapons will not fire for anyone other than herself.

  • Minor Powers:


  1. Re-Arm: Anne makes a simple hand gesture to return her weapons to her hands should she get disarmed of them. Simple as that.
  2. Rapid Fire: Again, fairly simple. Anne fires magic arc shots at a varying pace depending on how fast she pulls the trigger. The faster she fires, the weaker the damage done. Likewise a slower more moderate pace would do more damage.
  3. Charge Shot: Anne holds down the trigger for several seconds and charges up a shot capable of denting solid stone. Drains a moderate amount of energy and overheats the pistol in question for a decent period of time.


  • Major Power:


  1. Meteor Shot: Anne charges both guns to twice their normal limit and proceeds to fire both shots into the air. The resulting shots are fairly massive, however they taper off into hundreds of extremely small shots that explode upon contact with anything, including her, in a 25 foot radius in the direction she fires. This drains a massive amount of energy and severely overheats the guns, making them and herself useless combat wise for quiet some time.
  2. Tracking Shot: Anne fires a charged shot, however this shot tracks down whatever target she has it locked onto until it hits something solid or the target dissappears. She must keep her gun aimed at the target for short period of time to lock onto the target. This drains a moderate amount of energy and carries the same overheat penalty as a standard charge shot.


Personality:


Despite her appearance and the weapons she wields Anne is a extremely childish person outside of combat. Most of the time she isn't serious in the least and takes everything as a game, an extremely fun game that she considers herself a master of. Life is very much an adventure for her, she doesn't take much seriously at all. She constantly plays pranks on pretty much anyone she can find, taking great joy in doing so no matter the consequence. This coupled with the fact she has very little sense of shame or embarrassment leads to some very interesting things.


Despite her childish attitude Anne is actually very intelligent, being childish only in personality, not in mind. She is an expert strategist and tactician which usually comes as a shock to anyone else around her. Her plans are usually foolproof by design, but unfortunately she can't be held accountable by those who execute them. Even if she executes them herself they still have a small chance to fail.


In combat Annes' personality shifts entirely. She becomes completely calm and serious, focusing entirely on the fight. Nothing distracts her at all until her target is dead or incapacitated. In line with how she acts during combat, Arcus Diabolus at times has been known to influence her to have more violent tendencies without her knowing. She never remembers them, even when asked.


History: Anne grew up having a pretty awesome life raised by her father, her mother dying when she was very young. Nevertheless she was content with hearing the stories her father told her about her mother, and her father was actually a very kind man as well. While her childhood was happy, it wasn't exactly what one would call normal. You see, her father was a collector of magical weaponry and artifacts of all kinds. If it had magic properties or was involved in magic somehow and wasn't your run of the mill enchanted sword, he was interested in it.


He would very often take her along on his trips, most of them involved simple travelling and buying the item in question, but some of them; and the most fun, involved actually getting the item himself. Of course once she was 15 and thus deemed old enough by her father she helped him out on his hunts everytime she could. She really enjoyed spending time with him and finding the artifacts. Sure, she rarely found them herself, and he rarely actually found any himself, she still enjoyed it.


When she was 18 she finally found her first real big artifact; Arcus Diabolus. Despite her fathers warnings not to touch them if she found them, she still picked up the guns anyway. Upon doing so she blacked out and when she awoke her dad was dead with multiple holes in his body, herself covered in blood and the guns in hand. She completely freaked out at the sight, it was obvious what she did. She tried tossing the guns away and running far away from the scene into a nearby forest.


She should of listened to her father, but instead she hadn't, and now he was dead. Despite trying to get rid of the guns she soon tripped over them, literally. They had appeared in front of her in the grass suddenly, causing her to trip over them. She tried to get rid of them again, but once more it was no use. She was stuck with them whether she wanted them or not. Rather than continue trying to pointlessly get rid of them, Anne moved to train to control them.


Now 20 she's done so for two years, her mind completely blocking out the day she killed her father. She has no real set memories on how she got Arcus Diabolus anymore, if anyone asks she simply responds by saying she's always had them.

  • Swiftness- Shylock becomes twice as fast by whispering the spell. It last for 5 minutes but when the spell is finished he is in a daze and everything is a blear and lasts for 3 minutes. The spell takes 5 minutes to charge not counting the dazed state
  • Steel skin- When he makes a pose his skin becomes hard like steel but moves slowly and when it is finished he is immobile for 30 seconds. The spell takes 15 minutes to recharge
  • Hell fire- When shylock becomes enraged the spell is cast causing him to be covered in flames makin his weapons more crucial to dodge if you don't want to be engulfed in flames your self. When he uses the spell he is much weaker to water attacks and after the spell he is very hot and needs to take it easy to not be harmed by heat stroke. The spell last for 2 minutes long and takes 10 minutes to recharge

  • Hells fury- When Shylock is badly injured he goes berserk making him more destructive, violent, powerful and all pain is numb to him.
  • Alteration of mortality: perhaps the most powerful and dangerous of all of shylocks spells it can make shylock indestructible make his strength multiply by 10 and makes him 5 times faster and he summons a godly blade that can cut through almost any enemy and wields all the elements in its blade. The spell enables him to use any of his powers with no repercussion and last 10 minutes. But to his family this is a sacrifice magic which means when he uses it he will die the chance of him using this magic and surviving is 0. What happens is when he uses the spell the gods lend him their power but at a price if he uses the spell his mortality and soul it self is destroyed and when the spell is over he dies were he stands.
  • (I know I made this power op as fuck but like it says I'll only be able to use it once and I'll only use it when I decide to kill my character off.)


Personality: Shylock is monstrous, violent, easy to anger and will try and kill anyone who angers him. He is not kind to people when they first meet but if you get to know him he is kind of nice.(Unless you anger him then he'll probably rip you in half.) He is very loyal to the friends he makes and tries not to kill them when hi is angered.


History: Shylock has a history of war and not much else. When he was a child he was trained to be a soldier by his father to join the orc army for the War For Red Mountain. He was trained until his bones cracked and trained to use his minor powers. When shylock was a young adult he was thrown into a battle against goblins with 15 other orc. They won but lost 8 of their own men while shylock received his trademark scar on his eye. When shylock reached the age of 45 he was the leader of the army and participated in many battles and became a master of fighting and war. Before shylock became a participant in the tournament he lead the army to Red Mountain. The mountain is said to be filled with ore, gold and jewels being kept by a horde of goblins. When the battle started it looked like the orcs would win but the goblins surrounded them making them huddle which mad it harder to fight when shylock was the last one left he discovered hells fury and went berserk and escaped. Now shylock is 50 and is participating in the tournament for the fame and glory that he wanted while leading his army.

Armor: The two pictures, the second is color, Leather armor on the outside, with a steel breastplate, with chain mail beneath it all.


Weaponry: Fayde isn't picky with weapons, but seems to prefer swords and shields, seen wielding the sword in the first picture accompanied by a strange looking tower shield.

Magic: Anima Armatus:
The magical energies that make Fayde an animated armor. Most of her minor powers comes in a weak, passive effect with an active effect that costs Essence, Essence being what she calls the energy keeping her "alive."

  • Minor Power:


  1. Magica Absorption:
    Passive: Fayde's essence absorbs wisps of any magical energy that hits her, depending on the spell/magic the absorption varies, but passively it'll only be a max of 10% of the magic's effect.
    Active: Fayde can actively try and mitigate anything magical hitting her, this is usually done by her bracing herself without using her shield, Doing this way allows her to absorb entire spells (Depending on their power, of course).
    Drawback: As both a slight positive and a more negative effect, Fayde becomes energized by absorbing, yet absorbing too much can cause a painful overload on her, Friendly spells also lose some of their effectivity when cast on her.
  2. Of Essence and Metal:
    Passive: Fayde is an animated armor, she does not require sleep, food or water, her Essence still naturally mend herself at a slightly higher rate than humanoid wounds. Fayde is also "immune" (Due to the lack of it.) To most things that would harm a living being, such as poison gas, drowning, and other effects, Fayde while not requiring to sleep can go into a form of recharge state in the case of major loss of Essence to slowly regain it back.
    Active: (Not entirely active of a sort.) Fayde can in cases of having been energized, create small colorful orbs of Essence, these she uses like any other might use a potion, except she crushes the orbs in her hands, as an extended part of herself, she can only have a max of three orbs of Essence.
    Drawbacks: While minor drawbacks such as not being able to taste food, or smell non-magical objects, the major drawbacks that comes from being an armor is that natural or even magical abilities that are effective on armor drains a lot more energy, (Lightning, acid, immense heat.) In the case of fatal injury, Fayde "shuts down" immediately, not being able to be awoken until her Essence slowly gathers back to mend the fatal wound, or it is mended for her, Fayde also needs a minimum of 3 hour uninterrupted recharge time every 48 hour, or the Essence will start to falter by itself. The orbs of essence can be drained, lost or otherwise break and become inert, just like any other flask.
  3. Essence empowerment:
    Passive: Fayde, while being an armor isn't weak, the Essence keeping her alive also enhances her "body", passively, this allows her to do as much work as a fit human being, without exhaustion.
    Active: Fayde can actively use Essence to further enhance a part of her for some drain of the Essence, or her whole body for more even faster, these enhances could vary from increased lifting/carrying weight to faster movement to other physical aspects.
    Drawbacks: The empowerment from the Essence has a limit, Fayde can run faster than a human at max but not out-run a horse, nor will she be strong enough to dead-lift boulders thrice her size. These energies only work when Fayde has plenty of Essence left, the less she has the less effective are the enhances, to the point that she cannot do much more than carry herself sluggishly around.


  • Major Power: Fayde's major powers are quite different than her normal powers, mostly long term effects.


  1. Conduit of Essence:
    Fayde is a conduit, an source of power to herself. As such, she constantly attempts to improve herself, much like one can learn more spells, or become a master in arms, Fayde can break down unbroken equipment (Or raw materials for lesser or greater effect, the rarer the greater, iron ore is less than say an iron gauntlet.) Breaking down the materials into energy for her Essence, collecting enough allows Fayde to "upgrade" herself, be it enchanting her armor, changing it completely (This usual requires an already enchanted armor to work in the first place.) Or take the attributes of the material. Fayde is able to in long-term effect, change her body to suit (Hehe) any requirements, given the time and material and training (New legs is always weird.) to function properly. This ritual of course takes a lot of time, depending on the material and how much she is breaking down, if it is magical or not and the condition of the material. (Broken stuff is useless.) Changing herself is also heavily draining and Fayde will require time (Standard is half an hour for smaller changes.) to regain the lost essence.


Personality:


Fayde is a cautious being at first, ever since waking from her dormant state, she have to adapt to a whole new world, learn new languages, traditions and laws, amongst other things. For this she seems to be "shy" in her approach of others, she would prefer to watch silently and learn who a person is, than speak to them directly, this can make her seem somewhat timid or panic at social moments, even though she is trying her best, even if her best is attempting to avoid talking to people, not to mention she is a living armor, she isn't entirely certain how people will react to that, this makes her even more afraid of the alienation from others.


Befriending Fayde can be a bit difficult, but she is always trying to prove her loyalty and care for others, having been made as a guardian of her previous master's home, she is used to be at the front, defending others, while she doesn't change her personality much in combat, she does at least focus on the point that she isn't trying to befriend whatever is trying to kill her or those she can call allies.


Fayde is a caring being, even though she herself is not living, she seems to have great empathy and a iron will to protect, a guardian at whole, Fayde is cautiously moving into a new world.


History:


Fayde was made by a rather rich Wizard, one amongst many other living armors and golems, the Wizard lived far north-west of Lobaiser, In an ancient forest from which the Wizard used the old magic of the forest to help him create his construct servants.


Fayde was created as a guardian of the Wizard's castle, she served inside the castle, where she acted as a guardian for the Wizard, his guests and his family, programmed to walk the halls, day and night and make sure no intruders disturbed the Wizard. One day the unexpected happened, the Wizards' son attempted to do a trick and slipped from one of the castle's embrasure, Fayde was not made to save lives, she was made to be a guard and defend the castle, yet something clicked in the magical energies of the armor as she leapt after the child, using herself as cushion, letting the boy survive the fall.


Fayde was repaired and the Wizard left her inactive for some time, yet he was not abandoning the curious Animated armor, it had broken the magical orders he put on it and he grew more puzzled on how and why.. The Wizard decided to acquire a new body for Fayde, ordering fine materials he had her re-made and transferred the energy into the new armor, activating her.


Fayde awoke, speaking like a normal person, something the Wizard did not entirely understand, and through a series of tests and trials, he had deemed that some spirit of the ancient forest -must- have fused with his magic into this armor.


Fayde became the personal assistant to the Wizard, who she learned much from, she became able to act more human every day, and she learned to control her "Essence" more and more.


Alas, others had heard rumors of the Wizard making self-aware constructs, a powerful army? A crazed idea? Nobody knows, but one day the castle was set on fire and ruined, Fayde tried to save the Wizard and his family, but in her attempt, rubble fell down on her, greatly injured and incapable of moving, Fayde struggled until everything went black.


Many centuries later, Fayde awoke in the old, overgrown remains of the Castle, she had been moved from her trapped location and found herself lying near a camp-fire, where a trio of curiously armored men stood, her old orders flickered on and she assaulted the trio, not expecting a suit of armor to suddenly stand up and attack, Fayde made quick work of them.


It was then she felt the lack of a connection, everything was different, she finally noticed the language the men spoke was strange to her, without anything to do, she took up sword and shield and headed out, exploring and carefully, she made her way into villages and towns, learning that everything had changed, she adapted, she had no choice but to adapt.


In the end, while still learning much of this new world to her, Fayde lacked a goal, she had nothing to do, a terrible thing for a construct like her, she heard the news of a tournament and the expedition to a unexplored land, named Driesen, and so, Fayde made her way, perhaps to find a destiny or at least something she can set her path on.

  • Summon Fire: gives Marcus ability to summon fire from his body, however, while not in draconic plating is not completely immune to flame but only resistant
  • Draconic Plating: for a brief period of time he can transfigure skin on portions of his body into nearly impenetrable dragon scale(the longer the duration the greater the toll on his body afterward)
  • Inhuman Strenth: while still in human form can tap into his draconic strength for a brief period of time, weakens his body and makes him less reactive for about five minutes or more depending on duration of use


Major Power:

  • Flame Vortex: engulfs the area around him in searing flame capable of melting steel and vaporizing things such as skin on contact, afterward has a brief period of time before he is drained physically for several hours and is unable to summon fire


Personality: Marcus is caring but introverted and quiet. He prefers to have a few companions and is willing to make sacrifices for those he cares about. He also has the tendency to act rashly if he believes that it is necessary


History: Marcus Diverri grew up in Lavish, a small village near Wolke's southern coast. At the age of twelve, Marcus's home was invaded by his teacher, a swordsman that his father had so heartfully paid for. Marcus watched as his pregnant mother was beaten and all of his possessions were being claimed over his father's corpse. These unfair and treacherous sights filled him with an unfamiliar hatred that was undiscovered until that very moment. The ropes bounding him burst into flames and red consumed his vision. He woke up in the pile of rubble that was his home two days later and has been living on the streets since. With no family or money, he only ate what he managed to steal from the local street vendors. So when he heard about the tournament for Driesen he was filled with hope to live with a purpose again... like he had forgotten all those years ago when his family was murdered in cold blood. Now he would fight, not for his life, but for his country.

Armor: Cailan wears a full suit of plate armor, Elvish make. It's pretty to look at, and surprisingly light. He still wears the black cloak over his armor.

Spear - Seven feet long with a steel spearhead and butt spike


Shortsword (pictured) - A steel sword, its blade just over twelve inches long. It serves as a secondary weapon, should his spear ever get lost during battle.


Personality: Cailan is a polite man, if a bit dour at times. He courteous and sophisticated in his demeanor, speaking lightly and respectfully to almost everyone, so long as they speak to him the same way. While good-natured, it can hardly be said that Cailan is a happy man, for he often finds himself burdened by the things he's witnessed in war.


History: Cailan was the third and youngest son born to Sareth and Dynelle of the House Essandil, a clan that has, for millennia, prided themselves on being one of the mightiest of the Elven houses, second only to House Unber, with whom they were bitter rivals. Cailan's early years were privileged, and he was spoiled absolutely rotten by his parents and relatives. Yet Cailan's childhood had been an enjoyable one, and from time to time he reminisces on what little parts of it he remembers.


Cailan was mostly schooled in reading, writing, politics, and history, though when he was old enough, he began training in the arts of combat as well. He was especially proficient with the spear, and spent much of his time training with that weapon, as well as with the sword. Decades passed, and Cailan would live in relative peace. He had mastered the arts of war, and he'd become a distinguished fighter in his own right.


Then, out of the blue, Lord Sareth Essandil declared war on the Unbers, tired of being second banana to what he perceived to be an incompetent ruler. Soon, most of the other tribes had gotten involved in the conflict as well, picking sides and making alliances. Obviously, Cailan joined his clan's combative forces to go to war with the Unbers and further the exploits of House Essandil. It was a duty that Cailan took pride in - until he found himself ordered to carry out the execution of the Lady Unber herself.


Lady Unber begged Cailan for clemency, to be sent to the ghettos of Deltown where her lord husband and children had already escaped to months prior. Cailan initially refused to kill her, for she herself had not taken up arms against the Essandils, but the threats of his superiors prevailed, and he was forced to end her life. The war ended shortly thereafter, and the Essandils had supplanted the Unbers as the dominant wood elven clan.


After the war, Cailan became wracked with guilt and regret over the countless lives he had taken, by the horrors he'd seen and done. At the same time, though, rumors began to sprout about a new-found land called Driesen. When news of the tourney reached his homeland, Cailan packed up all that he owned and left for Lobaiser with the hope that joining the Heroes of Driesen would be one step closer to atonement.

Magic: Negative Temperature Alteration

  • Absolute Zero: turns his body temperature to absolute zero. Nothing can come into physical contact with him or they may die from the extreme conditions, but he cannot perform any actions while in this state and can be taken advantage of. He will remain in suspended animation until he is restored to his previous temperature. (Until he is heated up). This action can only occur if Levi's katana is sheathed.
  • Frozen blade- Transforms the katana into ice. When Levi hits the enemy, the katana shatters and Levi is launched 100 ft back. The katana will reform after he has landed, but it will be frozen in its sheathed form and he won't be able to draw it for 3 seconds.
  • Blood Clot: Can temporarily stop internal and external bleeding by freezing the surrounding area. Requires Levi's katana to be sheathed


Major Power:

  • Shatter: Alter Hydrogen into liquid hydrogen around designated area and coat a limb in it. That body part becomes fragile and the (body) part will shatter when Levi's katana comes into contact with the enemy. It will also shatter if he whispers "shatter", but he will go completely deaf for an hour and won'tbe able to use any of his minor powers for the rest of the fight. can only be used once per hour. can only target limbs/extremities. (I realized that before I could just shatter their heart nd call it game over so I changed it :)
  • Internal Freeze: It is set up by physical contact with Levi's katana. A dark shadowy figure will begin to crawl up their arm and will take 80 seconds to fully set up. Once set up, Levi must stab himself with his katana in the heart. Once this is done, the targeted enemy's body temperature will start to decrease rapidly and they will be unable to pull the katana out of Levi's chest. It takes 250 seconds for the enemy to become fully suspended in animation. This is not a fatal move. However, Levi's katana, if left in his chest will repair his organs and remove itself in about 3 hours.


Personality: Has a cold character and generally keeps to himself. He won't generally engage in conversation with anybody, but he will respond to others' attempt at socialization. His true character is shielded by his current state of depression and has an air of mystery about it.


History: Grew up in a small town on the outskirts of a large city. At 15 years old, He went out to gather food for his family and was abducted by a group of masked men. He was then taken to a hidden place and repeatedly stabbed by a katana while the men chanted foreign incantations. It went on for days and eventually Levi had been completely broken. He was immediately engulfed in ice and remained in suspended animation for 26 years. One day, he was released from his crystalline prison. When he looked around, all the men were dead, and the katana that had tormented him was on the ground. He returned to his town, but his family members had either moved or died by this point. He lived for four years in solitude and later signed up for the tournament because he felt like there was nothing left for him in life.

  • Ink Shards: By swing around his tool and creating a quickly hardening ink that starts off in a liquid state but quickly become sharp shards once there sent flying. He is capable of creating more or less shards.



  • Ink splatter: By swing around his tool and creating a saturated ink that has sticky properties he can control how much he wants to release and how strong. The ink is strong enough to restrain his opponent although not strong enough to hold them for long usually.



  • Black As Night: By swinging around his tool using to produce a gas based ink he creates a black fog that is not harmful to anyone it only hides everyone inside of it. He is able to see through this but leaves everyone else in darkness.





Major Power:




  • White Tiger: Using his tool he draws a enormous mythical white tiger to fight for him, it takes about 3 seconds to fully draw and another 10 seconds to be sentient. While the creature life force is as long as it's creator if defeated in battle and taking on to much damage it will vanish.



  • Phoenix: Using his tool he draws a giant Phoenix to fight for him, it takes about 5 seconds to fully draw and another 10 seconds to be sentient. The phoenix has properties like fire. While the creature life force is as long as it's creator if defeated in battle and taking on to much damage it will vanish.








Personality: He has a tremendous amount of potential. Capable, logical, reasonable, and effective individual with a deeply driven desire, he has what it takes to be highly effective at achieving his chosen goals such as art. And is a quiet and reserved individual he has a strongly-felt internal sense of duty, which lends him a serious air and the motivation to follow through on tasks. Organized and methodical in their approach, he can generally achieving as much as he can at any task which he undertake. Very loyal, faithful, and dependable. He places great importance on honesty and integrity. While he generally take things very seriously, he also usually has an offbeat sense of humor and can be a lot of fun.

History: Born and raised in Merchant town by his merchant parents who were rather sly and devious usually ripping people off as best as they could, many citizens made sure Ian never pick up there habits. He spent a lot of time away from them usually hanging around the other kids in town and learned from there parents about art and how to be a good person in general, as Ian grew he found a liking to animals always adopting and stalking them every chance he got and using them and nature as his muse. One day he came across a lady who offered him a deal, if he could find and capture a the mythical creature of his towns forest she would give him a magic that bring his art to life, long story short he found the creature but only in a flash at best he could create a streak of beautiful colors that looked more like a blur of color. While he failed the woman was impressed he had found a creature that no one knew existed until now, she gave him the magical tool and he trained day in and out, and surprisingly enough his parents noticed his hard work and offered him one of there most expensive and flashy items among other things assuming that if he ever fell into danger it could prove valuable in defending himself.​

Clothing: What are they normally seen in when off duty? Clothing seen in picture, simple grey clothes and the black mask.


Armor: What do they typically fight in?: Doesn't bother wearing armor as it weights him down. He always wears his "Mask of Absorption" necessary to use his magic.


Weaponry: He uses a simple but sharp knife.


Magic: Genetic absorption


Minor Power: Up to 3 allowed, include name, what it does, and drawbacks.


He has the leg strength of a grass hopper, although this can only be easily applied to jumping he is capable of jumping 20 times his height. Trouble is he isn't very good at landing yet


Major Power: Up to 2 allowed, takes more energy and harder to master.


Genetic Absorption


By expending huge amounts of magic and consuming large amounts of whatever he wants to incorporate through the masks mouth, he can gain the genetic abilities of other creatures. It should be noted this can take a very long time and 9 out of 10 times will fail. (Has to consume over time around his own body weight)


Hyper Regeneration


He has successfully gained the power of one of the most incredible creatures in nature. The Planarian, the sole creature capable of regenerating its brain, memory intact. (This is a real thing). When harmed as long as a suitably large enough part of his body remains (Say arm or head sized.) He can regenerate his vital organs or injured areas, and then recover by eating enough mass to recover his body.


Personality: I always have a lot of trouble with writing personality, this normally comes to me in-character and anything I do in writing I have trouble following, but here's a try. He is a fairly relaxed individual, never really caring what others think of him and always dead set on his goals. His long term goal is to become a "perfect life form". He intends to explore to gain new genes.


History:


He was like most rp characters orphaned at a young age. He was twelve when the carriage ran over both his father and mother right in front of him whilst begging in the street. He swore never to die a death like theirs.


When he was 14 he robbed an expensive magic store and stole a book "Written by the creator of life" that explained to him how to use the Genetic Absorption Magic. He made a mask of consumption himself from stolen fabric and began his quest for perfection. At 16 he managed to gain the power of the Planarian, after countless failures due to the difficulty of the incorporation and eating nothing but Planarians for months.


At 17 he lead his own gang and became quite infamous on the streets, pooling a small fortune robbing passersby. At 19 he was hanged, but he escaped death with his Planarian power. This was the first time he experienced 'death'. At 21 he gained the powers of the grasshopper. At 22, he stole all his gangs profit and left for the competition.
