You’ve probably heard this a million times. On the 1x1 RP section, do you just post a starter and wait for someone to show up? Or do you actually have to find someone in the interest checks section and move it there?

You can do both, but just posting an interest check is more advised.

This. The process, for groups or 1x1s is first interest check in the recruitment section, then the actual roleplay in the roleplay section. 1x1s, however, often have a middle bit in between where two the players may discuss further details regarding their partnership and roleplay.
