Futuristic Heavensfall [Apocalyptic WW2 Scifi]

Another question! You said it's like resistance but not quite. So in this "inspired by" kind of take, what notable differences set it apart?

I'm nixing things like their need for colder climates, the Cloven, creatures like Daedalus, etc. There will also be pure and impure aliens rather than just impure aliens since the pure chimera are really only mentioned in resistance. Plus I'm making the impure kind more hyper aggressive and unstable, requiring augmentations to be controlled compared to the pure kind being more stable.

Also the timeline is largely different, since things like WW1 and WW2 didn't happen and the Whites beat the Bolsheviks in the Resistance series. In this RP the storyline is basically the same as our world up until 1945.

Would specialist work for my reporter turned soldier? Puts him just under the cusp of being NCO, fits his age of 24, I believe.

It'd be Technician Fifth Grade, not Specialist. But yes, it works for me since technicians were specialized roles like cooks or mechanics.

Right. I'll start working on the OOC this weekend. To give a forewarning on how I handle my RPs before I post it + the character sheet, I have sheets posted first in the OOC before a given date as a deadline where then sheets are decided on and accept by merit and uniqueness.

Define uniqueness.

Uniqueness as in sheets that particularly stand out and catch my eye. Sometimes sheets tend to be carbon clones of each other or are too "tropey".
Characters or the sheets themselves? I dont do anything particularly fancy regarding code. If I use any at all. At best I tend to copy an okay format somebody else has, delete the other chars info and just use that.

Lol I do like tropes though.

But if your just wanting a decently solid character that isnt just a hollow shell of a three sentence archetype. And a measure of personality that is at the very least one degree above 2 dimensional, then I can give you that.

The characters; not the sheet code. I'm not big on super fancy BBCode for the most part. I usually just stick with something with simple or little code but still has some aesthetic to it.

But yeah, when I mean uniqueness, I mean the last part of your post.

Cool beans. Any rules or what we should expect from the GM and play style?

And how focused would you like us to be on Inventory management?

I'm generally "rules light" as I prefer not to be a rules lawyer and want to have fun. My main rules, though, are: 1) don't be a dick and argue for the sake of arguing, especially when I've a decision (the whole GM's word is law you see in other RPs), 2) write at least 2-3 paragraphs once a week with some manner of quality to them, and 3) follow the site rules on top of mine.

As for inventory management, I'd prefer there to be a degree of tracking your character's resources such as ammunition or rations. I'm not going to hound you to count every individual bullet (unless you want to), but I do ask for some common sense as to when your character would be running low on supplies and/or out of supplies.

Umm.. Hi, not sure why i've been @'d? :P

Nope, I like the idea though. If I were interested in taking part then I would've posted something in the comments :P
