The Optimistic Pessimist
Rules for CS:
1. You can choose one of 4 races: Human, Giant, Demi-Human (dog, cat, or lizard variation. I will consider an animal of your choice based on what it is.), Undead (zombie, vampire, ghost, etc. but undead does have disadvantages)
2. You can choose one of 4 classes: Striker (fists, blades, a stick, etc.), Mage (magic missles everywhere), Summoner (ever wanted to be a pokemon trainer?), Gunslinger ("I have yet to see someone who can outsmart bullet.")
3. Backstory is optional (You can reveal it in CS or state that you want players to discover it by getting to know your character.)
4. While undead is an option, vampire does not denote immortal despite the whole vampire shtick. Undead will be working under he assumption that whatever happened to cause it, was fairly recent (a max of 5 years)
5. If you are unsure of something or have a question about something you can do, please ask me. I have no problem answering questions.
Racial pros/cons: (this is purely so no one is running around as an angel born of god and a human with immortal powers, space bending magic, etc etc. and so each race has a sort of balance.)
Human: Standard physique and durability and can move about without any sort of problems. Average attunement to magic. Fragile compared to the other classes and less stamina.
Giant: Taller and stronger physically than the other classes and can use super strength to remove obstacles and such. Not very stealthy and not very reliable in tight places. Can not use magic well.
Demi-human: While sporting the same physique as humans, (animal parts aside) they are a bit more durable and agile with the ability to see/sense further than other races with an above average attunement to magic. May fall victim to animalistic tendencies if exposed to the wrong stimuli (throw a cat in water and they freak, make a loud noise at a dog and it irritates them, etc.).
Undead: Very durable and the highest attunement to magic. Can sense life energy and see beyond the mortal coil. Highly weak to fire/holy magic, not a good idea to converse with people who aren't aware of their state, and the daytime can pose a huge problem if the proper precautions are not taken. (Wearing coverings to keep the sunlight off is acceptable to combat this.)
