Howdy! Welcome!

It’s been a while! Creating a new thread in hopes of satisfying an itch I’ve had for a HP RP. I have a horrible habit of being long-winded with these posts, so I'm going to try to keep this as concise as possible (...and hopefully not scare too many people off). Please direct message me if you're interested, do not post in the thread; this is just to keep it simple and clean. If you could give me some information about yourself/your interests, if any of my ideas interest you or if you have ideas of your own, that would be awesome.

Just going to state this write off the bat like the title says: I am looking for M/M currently, I’m not particularly seeking another M/F partner at this time.


○ Expectations - You & I

→ 18+ - not because I dislike RPing with younger people, but due to mature themes that are explored.
→ I work full time & have obligations outside of RP - I'm usually good for a post every day, if not every other day, but as long as I receive a post or two every week, I'll be happy. In the event something catastrophic arises and I won't be available for a prolonged time I'll let you know.
→ I am not ghost-friendly; please don't approach for RP if you don't have the care to at least drop a single line saying "I'm not feeling it". That's all it takes. I get sometimes there's a "vibe" clash, or maybe you just really don't feel the RP after starting it. That's okay! It happens! Whatever the reason, that's totally cool, I'm chill and am not the type to take offense, but please be a decent human being and say something before just vanishing. I don't even care if you say something and then immediately abandon the conversation (or remove me from discord, if we add one another): just be a respectful adult and say something.
→ I fucking love OOC chatter and making friends with the people I RP with. Please don't be shy! I have memes, cookies, a horrible sense of humor that ranges from dark to dad jokes, and I'm prepared to throw it all at you. I also have pets and am willing to bribe RP in exchange share pics of them.
→ I'd prefer RP over discord but happy to accommodate via private DMs on here after setting things up; I can be persuaded to use Gdocs as well.
→ Small character sheets (like small 'snippets' of character details and basic information; not looking for heavy, in-depth sheets, unless we are RPing pre-established relationships of some kind) are welcome but NOT required! I don't care if realistic pictures are used, anime, or drawn. I'm an open book, throw whatever you want at me or not.
→ I have some ideas (some more in-depth than others) but I will state this once: if you don't love brainstorming and contributing your own ideas, or hashing things out and I'm the one making all the decisions, this will not work out. This is an equal RP opportunity, we both need to contribute!


○ RP Preferences

→ I don't want to put a strict word count on this, because length can vary depending on what's happening in the RP. I would instead like to kindly ask for at least 4+ meaty paragraphs. I will probably write more than this, but it’s what I need to feel invested: I want to know your character's feelings, thoughts, and witness the world through their eyes, just as much as I want to explore my own character. I tend to personally lean towards a page or more, with openers and some scenes getting particularly lengthy.
→ I write in 3rd person, past tense; I'd prefer the same in a partner, but as long as it's not first-person perspective that should be fine!
→ Romance is a must of some kind. Not saying it must be forced, but it's an element that I enjoy to the fullest extent. This won't be the entire focus of the RP (usually), but it'll absolutely be a strong element.
→ My main interest is M/M, however I am also open to a questioning/potentially transitioning character.
→ I tend to RP more dominant male characters, but am open to a switch relationship; I like characters with a broad range of personality types, and will have a variety of flavor (via side characters, “NPCs”) that will be added.
→ I am open to pursuing settings in a variety of eras: pre-maurader’s era (like right before it), maurader’s era, golden trio, or a future timeline. I am not open to the Fantastic Beasts Era, my apologies.
→ I am 100% down to exploring a different school! That’s right: doesn’t have to be Hogwarts. In fact, it might be kind of fun to either create our own or embellish one that isn’t well-explored.
→ I am open to following canon, ripping it apart (AU’s, different outcomes/futures/deaths). I am also primarily looking for an OC x OC partner, or potentially one of the HP kids in the future (Teddy Lupin, Louis Weasley) - either works for me.

If you’re craving Wolfstar or a Draco x OC pairing, I may be open to it if you have a plot that you just cannot put down and I find it intriguing enough.

  • Tentatively Draco x Hermione, this is a rare M/F pairing I'm usually down for, if the plot's good enough. I would be RPing Draco as preference in this.
• 
  ○ Setting: Any – this would make the most sense, however, in a pre-Marauder setting (or building into it), where Voldemort’s power was beginning to grow and he was developing a follower base. Alternatively, settling into a post-war era where the dust is starting to settle and pureblood families are starting to test the waters again.
  ○ General Summary: YC is muggleborn, or mudblood, and was raised in the quiet highlands of Scotland, near Hogsmeade. Growing up, they established a friendship with the “new kid” that moved into their neighborhood, unaware that they were from a pureblood family.
  
  The Fawley family, to be exact.
  
  Their friendship was kept at arms length, with Felix—MC—sneaking out to visit and play with YC whenever they were able to. Quick friends, that relationship seemed like it would last forever. Fast forward to the future, both are now attending Hogwarts, and both are split into two separate Houses.
  
  It was then that the tension began to rise. Arguments about their Houses, about the ongoing/current events of the world; arguments about the dark arts, and what’s considered right and wrong. Couple in bubbling teenage hormones, by their fourth year MC had completely snubbed YC without a word. Simply refusing to acknowledge him.
  
  As they’re closing in on their last (or second to last) year of Hogwarts, that’s no longer an option. Both of them are assigned Head Boy of their respective Houses, and as part of the school’s new mandatory inter-house unity changes, they’re assigned a private dorm together, as well as nightly rotations.
  
  ○ Other Notes: MC would’ve cut YC off completely due to his lack of pureblood status, and the pressure from his family/house. They also presumably would’ve had a major personality difference—it’s intended MC would be Slytherin, with YC’s house being separate (though hypothetically it could be the same; perhaps even though he didn’t really fit the qualities he wanted to join Slytherin and did, but is a total outcast due to the clashing personalities). This would have more of a pre-established relationship, so we would need to branch this out. If this is set in a Voldermort-era, the threat of death eaters/recruitment would be at an all-time high. The location they grew up in could change as well, completely open to modifying any of it.

  ○ Setting: Voldemort won, or his victory is seemingly nigh. Muggleborns and Mudbloods are being round up, on threat of regulating their whereabouts and activity, but everyone knows the truth: a lot of them go missing, and some of them even turn up dead. They’re forced to wear identifying marks on their robes when out in the public, and are no longer allowed to attend wizarding schools outside of vocational training for subservient roles (hosting/housekeeping magic, etc.)
  ○ General Summary: Character A is pureblood, coming from a family that’s deeply rooted in the Dark Arts and the circles of Voldemort’s inner Death Eaters. Regardless of their personal beliefs however, there’s always been a constant, nagging sensation at the back of their mind that something’s wrong.
  
  That “wrong” turns out to be Character B, whose been caught by the RoBCs. RoBCs, or the Regulators of Blood Control, is a unique, new branch of the Ministry of Magic that was created post-war under Voldemort’s rule. Character B has been part of the resistance, though his full identity isn’t known—yet, and the longer he’s held captive the more likely this information will leak.
  
  Character A is compelled to claim him (or “contract” him for services, a polite way of saying buying him like a House Elf) to uphold an Unbreakable Vow he made with him when they were in school, before the world went to hell. The past is dug up between them as Character A helps Character B recover from the torture and curses that were afflicted upon him, and suddenly Character A must come to decide whether he wants to come back to the light, or continue painting his future darker and darker.
  
  ○ Other Notes: I’m open to either of us doing either role. Whoever plays Character B I would imagine is playing a sort of important role in the resistance efforts (or perhaps they have information they need to pass along, but can’t for obvious reasons). Age range can be fresh out of Hogwarts up to 30 or so.

  ○ Setting: Post-war (could be the time period just before the golden trio, or after the final defeat of Voldemort)
  ○ General Summary: Character A is a professor from another school that’s transferred to Hogwarts for the foreseeable future—this is done in an effort to help them out following the end of the devastating war. The professor is elusive, knowledgeable, and worst of all, attractive, and for some reason has become very interested in Character B.
  ○ Other Notes: Short, simple, leaving this open to interpretation. It could be a student (whose of age) or another professor at the school whose helping them adapt to the new location. It’d be neat if the professor came from one of the unexplored wizarding schools, such as Ilvermorny or Mahoutokoro School of Magic (US or Japan). Perhaps Character A is hiding things that have yet to come to the light, such as:
  
  • They were a former Death Eater whose identity hasn’t been found out.
  • They’re a werewolf/vampire/veela/something else that’s been kept under wraps.
  • Perhaps they were chosen to come to Hogwarts due to their specialty in Potions, and can brew potions/remedies that are helping students overcome the tragedies they just faced (and countless wounds); in a sense, they’re almost a therapeutic presence in the school.

  ○ Setting: Any!
  ○ General Summary: Character A is a former Auror who left the DMLE for good after his partner, Character B, was nearly killed. The two of them always had an underlying tension between them that was never acted on, and eventually faded to oblivion after Character A left. Instead, they took up the healing arts, and are currently working at St. Mungo's. A few years have passed, and unexpectedly Character B winds up in his recovery unit - wounded, struggling to survive after another near-fatal attack; after a lengthy recovery period in an induced coma, Character B wakes up...
  
  ...and can't recall a single thing. His memory's fractured, and with the lingering effects of his wounds, he's forced to rely on Character A for recovery.
  
  ○ Other Notes: Short, simple, leaving this open to interpretation. There's a variety of twists and turns that this could take.

  ○ WARNING: This will include Mpreg or A/B/O elements, if that's not your taste, no problem!
  ○ Setting: Post-Golden Trio Era (after Voldemort's fall)
  ○ General Summary: The Integration Act was signed less than a year after the fall of Voldemort - and no one, absolutely no one, can escape it. This new legislature was written and designed to target the weakest points of the social structure in the Wizarding world:
  
  1. The pureblood hierarchy must be abolished completely, and their lineages intermingled with Muggleborns or half-blood families once and for all.
  2. Ensure population growth to recover from the countless deaths experienced in both wizarding wars.
  3. Resolve the repopulation issue brought on by the staggering 3 to 1 ratio of male to female wizards/witches.
  
  Starting in the upcoming summer solstice of 1999, marriage arrangements are taking place between eligible wizards and witches. Those who are of age will be forced to attend countless formal balls, undergo extensive compatibility checks, and partake in a supervised courtship. Some wizards will be paired with witches, and others - after strenuous screening and aptitude tests - will be paired with another male wizard, who will undergo a unique treatment that will allow them to bare children.
  
  Character A is from a well-established family who wants nothing to do with this game of charades, but is forced to play along. Character B is just struggling to deal with the fact that they've been chosen to turn into a broodmare.
  
  ○ Other Notes: I know this will 100% come across as some kind of perverse adventure, but that's not the intended vibe. Absolutely there will be some romance/angst-ridden lustful moments, but the plethora of ways that this could go is staggering. A few random ideas that come to mind:
  • Character B loathes the fact they're "chosen" to be a submissive partner and bear children; they feel their rights are being stripped away, and the pheremone/hormone injects are just fucking with them. They want a career, they don't want a family.
  • Character A and B know each other - and absolutely loathe one another. From the screening candidacy, they are determined to be a high compatibility match and have little to no say in the matter.
  • Either Character A or Character B have secretly harbored an infatuation with the other, and are secretly over the moon that they're a tentative match. They'll do anything to woo the other into solidifying themselves into a marriage.

  Sirius’s eyes narrowed, and for a heart-stopping moment it almost seemed as if he was about to let him go—
  
  Of course, where would the fun be in that?
  
  “Oh?” He asked quietly. “Is that what you really want, or is that what you’re just telling yourself, Remus?”
  
  His lips curled into a satisfied smirk as he watched him. It was the type of smirk that was full of bastardly confidence: confidence in his looks, confidence in his words, confidence in his actions. He knew the effect he had on people, and try as some might to deny him, he refused to let Remus even dream of it. The little wolf had been avoiding him all week since their encounter in the common room, and he wasn’t going to let him slip away again.
  
  He might not get another chance after this one, and now was the time to play all the cards he had in his hands. While Sirius may not get the top marks in his classes like some people (something that he had never cared about, much to the disappointment of his hovering, spiteful mother), he had been graced with something else entirely: rugged looks and a silver tongue. They’d gotten him far in life so far, and Sirius had no plans of stopping anytime soon.
  
  ‘Especially right now,’ he thought, casting a once-over of the male in front of him. He breathed in deeply, focusing on him—as if he could focus on anything else. Remus was pinned between him and the wall, his hands fisted into bunches of his robes to hold him in place, all but trapping him. It was wrong, Sirius knew that. It was wrong and he didn’t feel even a flicker of remorse, even if he imagined a hundred ways that this could go wrong. In fact, there was more than a good chance it would end badly, but that didn’t deter him in the slightest. Nothing was going to deter him anymore, not even Remus’s little remark that he wasn’t nearly as attractive as he thought he was—
  
  Bullshit. Just the idea of it sent a white-hot jolt of anger down his spine.
  
  “Do you want to know what I think?” His fingers curled tighter into Remus’s robes. Sirius shifted forward, pressing him closer, closer—until suddenly there was hardly any room left to breathe. All he could see, smell, and hear was him… and yet it wasn’t enough. It was never enough.
  
  Sirius wanted more. Desperately, painfully, wanted more.
  
  “I think you’re lying because you’re scared. For once in your life Remus, I want you to stop running away from me,” his voice had dropped to something deeper, a huskier edge to his tone. “And I want you to run to me.”
