"Huh...?  Big Sister said I shouldn't do that."

Age:

11

Gender:

Female

Magical Girl:

Yes

Uses MagiTech:

Yes

Personality:

Hanabi has always been a very spirited, creative girl. When alone, she spends most of her time in creative pursuits: sewing, knitting, writing, drawing, and the like. Because of the general scorn she received from her sister when she was young, she has no problem being by herself. However, she is a very social person and generally prefers to be around other people. She delights in telling her friends (and even those who aren't her friends) crazy, fanciful stories of warriors and ghosts and demons, and swearing that every one is true, just to mess with people. While Hanabi is a natural entertainer, and usually does well with crowds, she is only confident if she is in the situation of her own volition. When her sister pressures her into going before the public, she often behaves in a much more shy, reserved manner. In situations she doesn't like, she usually lets someone else take over. This can be quite surprising coming from someone who is usually so bright and outgoing.

In her outgoing, attitude, though, Hanabi often finds herself passing the limit of what is considered normal and healthy social interaction. In this way, she tends to be very blunt at improper times, ignoring and disrespecting the personal boundaries of others, in oftentimes a straight-up obnoxious and uncouth manner (having no "indoor voice" makes this worse). Although this might drive her peers to avoid her, Hanabi likely wouldn't notice the discomfort at her actions at all-- she's that dense. She lacks general respect for authority figures (aside from her sister), and is certainly not above very loudly disrespecting adults that, in her eyes, just want to boss her around. Towards them, she will often be difficult, petty and bratty merely for the sake of being so. Calmly and rationally explaining reason to Hanabi doesn't get very far either; once her mind is made up, she has a very difficult time changing her perspective. This tends to lead to her clinging to incorrect or childish ideas simply because she doesn't like acknowledging that she was wrong.

Hanabi always needs to be doing something. Whether it be with her hands or her legs. If she's not sewing, she's jogging. If she's not playing hopscotch, she's sketching. When she absolutely must sit still, her hands or feet twitch or fidget, and her eyes tend to look around as if looking for a way to escape the situation. For this reason, schooling is very difficult for her. She never made very good grades, and was always a poor test-taker. Despite this, she is not necessarily a stupid child. She is quite resourceful, and adaptive, but these qualities just don't represent themselves very well in the classroom. Though occasionally teased for her poor school performance and her general quirkiness, Hanabi doesn't care what others think about her, save for her older sister Hanae, who is the only person she works hard to please, even if it's difficult.

Background:

Hanabi was born the second and last child of the Ando family. Her sister before her became a magical girl when Hanabi was three. For the longest time, she rarely saw anything of Hanae. Her earliest memory of her sister's presence, in fact, was when she was six years old. Hanae had made a terribly mean comment about how Hanabi was not yet a magical girl, and therefore, the inferior sister. From this moment, Hanabi began to harbor a secret envy and animosity towards magical girls as a whole. Every birthday after that, Hanae would, without fail, make some comment about how she was still not yet selected to be a magical girl. Hanabi's resentment grew. She began to act out in school, and become something of a class clown. If her sister would never be satisfied with her, then what was the point in trying? However, her world was shaken to its very core when she was selected as a magical girl at age ten, just like her sister had been. While Hanabi was fully aware that she did not have to become a magical girl at all, there was something about the opportunity to finally please her superstar of a sister that appealed to her, and she accepted. The new attitude her sister is showing towards her makes Hanabi a bit uncomfortable, as she's not accustomed to being doted on. But, she continues, because any attention is better than no attention, she supposes. Hanabi has just completed the year-long government training and is now considered a full magical girl.

Outfit Description:

Standard

Hanabi's standard magical girl outfit is relatively simple. She wears a long-sleeved red and gold dress with a thick leather belt across the midsection. Her legs are covered by stockings and she wears simple brown boots on her feet. Across her shoulders, she wears a long black cape with gold trim, and on her head is a classic witch's hat with two big, red buttons sewn onto it, giving it the impression of having a face.

MagiTech

Her MagiTech outfit is much more intricate than her standard one. She still has a witch's hat, though it is much larger than in her standard outfit. While she doesn't have a full-fledged cape, she has a small shawl-like garment that extends midway down her upper arm. Her black dress, belted at the waist, is longer, down to just above her knees. Her matching socks end below her knees, and she wears yellow-green high heels. She carries a long staff that ends in a broom on one end and a gem on the other. It is through this that she usually conducts her magic, though she can use her hands for the same effect.

Item to Trigger the Transformation:

A straw human-shaped doll

Magical Entity Personality:

Resentful | Cruel | Arrogant | Defiant | Crafty | Mischievous | Playful | Loyal | Possessive | Courteous | Careful

Unlike its host, Hanabi's entity airs its grievances and bitterness very vocally. While Hanabi will usually listen to her sister and go along with whatever she tells her to do, her entity is very noticeably defiant and dismissive to Hanae and to most other authorities as well. In combat, the entity does not like relying on the help of others, and even when fighting alongside others will usually ignore them, even in the heat of battle when cooperation is crucial. This entity likely does not get along well even with other teammates, not above refusing to heal someone it doesn't like. It is very careful and cautious; its fighting style typically excels in the long-range, and for that reason, the entity has become skilled at dodging attacks to find a safe place to cast her magic from afar. This entity is not above teasing or throwing a petty joke at its enemies (even if its enemies aren't exactly sentient), and lives for witty banter. Outside of combat, Hanabi's entity is quite courteous, decent, and polite, until someone tries to order it around. However, if Hanabi's entity ends up admiring someone enough to respect their authority, it becomes loyal and devoted, which unfortunately can lead to some very jealous, clingy, possessive tendencies.

When transformed, Hanabi's eyes turn golden.

Cria genres and abilities:

Historical - Witch Trial

If she is aiming at a magical object or being (apparition, etc), this ability allows Hanabi to spontaneously light her target on fire. Due to her skill level, Hanabi's fires are relatively small and don't do much damage at any given moment. However, they keep burning the opponent for the duration of the battle, or until Hanabi is gravely injured or knocked unconscious, which can quickly lead to large amounts of accumulated damage.

Gothic - Doll Stitching

A healing ability in which Hanabi uses magic threads (using her cria) to stitch together wounds. The healing process itself is almost instantaneous, but healing only occurs after stitching of the whole length of the wound is completed. However, if the wound has cut too deep into organs (e.g. a stab wound into the heart, punctured lung, etc.), she cannot heal it, nor can she reattach severed body parts. Furthermore, the ability only works on external wounds by default. To heal internal wounds, such as very minor organ damage, the skin would need to be opened to access the wound's source. She can also use this ability on others.

Paranormal - Haunting Plague

Useful in densely-populated areas, this ability allows Hanabi to command the spirits of those that have died in and around the area to swarm the enemy. They don't do much damage themselves, and the ability is used as more of a diversion or minor hindrance than anything else, to slow enemy movement or obscure enemy vision. Only semi-tangible, the spirits cannot wound the enemy. The most they can do as far as physical contact is cling to the enemy. The spirits are of fragile corporeal constitution and are easily dispelled by minor attacks. For this reason, Hanabi prefers devoting more cria to use the ability, so that she can summon more spirits, though this isn't always possible.

Horror - Jumpscare

Hanabi sinks beneath whatever surface the fight takes place on, and can remain hidden for up to two minutes at a time (usually though, she only takes a few seconds). Then, she suddenly emerges from the ground either right in front of or right behind the enemy.

the personality lacks proper flaws. The only actual flaw here is minor and extremely circunstancial, so you need to add proper flaws.

The healing process itself is almost instantaneous, but healing only occurs after stitching of the whole length of the wound is completed. She can also use this ability on others.

you need to limit this ability. If she can heal that fast, then the healing impact must be somewhat low (that is, she couldn´t sew back an arm or close up a huge or super-deep chest wound). If the impact isn´t all that low, then some other limitation needs to exist so she isn´t immortal.

Paranormal - Haunting Plague

Useful in densely-populated areas, this ability allows Hanabi to command the spirits of those that have died in and around the area to attack the enemy. If given more time to activate the ability, or if she uses more cria to use the ability, she can summon more spirits.

I need more detail about these spirits and specifically what they can or not do.

Horror - Jumpscare

Hanabi sinks beneath whatever surface the fight takes place on, and can remain hidden for up to two minutes at a time (usually though, she only takes a few seconds). Then, she suddenly emerges from the ground either right in front of or right behind the enemy. This is an ability that she can use multiple times in a row.

please remove the "she can use this ability multiples times in a row" part, as it would make her invulnerable.
