In the small town of Blue Fields, lived a small adventurer's group. However, they have been taking breaks in between quests as of late over the past seven months, mainly because one of their members was with child. Sadly, this mother to be was also a widow, as her Husband was killed in an Animal Attack while he was out hunting and gathering food. The only reason why she took up adventuring was so she can raise money to care for her child. Then again, she was also a healer, so she was needed either way. The group was also gearing up for their latest quest, which included venturing into a Haunted House on Flovyrc Hill to lift an Ancient Curse, where ill-fated lovers had died and now their spirits haunted the once beloved house...

"I don't know Susana, I really don't think you should be traveling in your condition." Frederick, the group's Rogue, expressed his discomfort with Susana traveling so consistently during her pregnancy. "And going to a haunted house? You sure a Ghost or Spirit won't possess your unborn child?" He added, shivering at the thought.

Susana sighed. "Really, we're gonna have this discussion again? Besides, who's gonna heal your wounds? Without me, you guys would probably be dead by now." She did play a vital role in the party and didn't really want to leave them. It wasn't like they were on their feet all day. "I mean, its not like we're on our feet all day. Yes, it is tough for me to walk and stand for extended periods of time, but even you would wanna sit down and catch your breath after running around...Or in your case, crawling into small spaces, sneaking around and whatever else people like you do." Susana would then place her hands on her back, which did start aching. If there was anything that her healing powers could not do, getting rid of her pregnancy-related ailments was one of them. Magic cannot really interfere with natural parts of life. Bringing life into the world was quite the responsibility. She also tried to steer clear of potions because she was weary of some of the side effects that some of them may have.

Being the 'Mother' of the Group in a practical sense, Susana also tried to keep the group out of drinking excessively because she did not enjoy carrying them out of taverns, let alone walking into them. Sheathing her dagger and polishing her wand, she would then look at the other two fellow adventurers, Elisa, their Warrior, and Silva, the Wizard.

There are three things people need to know about Donatello Cuva, or Silva as people liked to call him. First is he was short, not as small as a dwarf but still the shortest of his group. Second, he was a wizard, due to this, his performance wasn't affected by his height as much as his ego was. Third, he had a big ego, this wasn't known by many since he rarely mentions it. "We can argue about this all day but in the end you will be more of a burden than helpful, besides, we can do just fine in a mission or two without a healer. What worst could happen, a casualty or two probably.". Nonchalantly ground her sword, Elisa said "He has a point, you know. Still, "Haunted House" could have a meaning or two which may render sword and fire useless. Ghost stuffs. Like it or not, even a heavy divine wand could be in need."

Susana sighed, trying not to go into a full-on hormonal rage. She hated being patronized. Just because she was limited on the tasks that they do as a group didn't mean that she was useless. "Just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I'm useless." She argued back. "Inside a House, there won't be very much room to run anyway. Now if you guys were going off to fight a dragon or something, maybe I would understand." She finally replied.

Frederick didn't argue. "Well, she's got us there." He said nonchalantly. "Now c'mon, we got a Haunted House to cleanse." He added, with a smile on his face. He then went ahead to wait outside for the rest of his party so that they could go and head to the House on Flovyrc Hill.

"If you say so." Alisa stood up and followed Frederick, compared with the others in her group, she was rather simple, she wasn't dense nor rude, just simple. Silva, on the other hand, never against the idea from the get go. Thus, they headed to the haunted house.

The night was dark, even the air somehow felt more and more wrong as they passed the old metal gate. Somewhere behind the tallest floor, moonlight pierced through the dense air, left a large shadow before the House on Flovyrc Hill. The house itself was old, that is for sure, in fact, it seems as if it can collapse anytime. The kind of place that animal and human would avoid alike. But it didn't seem empty at all but instead even less crowded than empty. Whoever in there or was in there certainly didn't welcome visitor. "Shall we knock?" Alisa asked.

After their brief bickering, their adventure began. Susana was the last one out of their house so she could lock the door behind them. It wasn't that long of a walk to Flovyrc Hill. When they arrived at the decaying house, Susana frowned, wondering what the place was like before it had become haunted by the malevolent spirits that it is today. It was very dark and the night seemed eternal where they were at. The lack of sunlight worried Susana. On the other hand, Frederick felt very unwelcomed. When they were at the doorstep and Alisa asked if they should knock, Frederick scratched his chin. "I guess we can do that." He said

At that moment, the door slowly opened and the hinges creaked, giving Susana an unsettled feeling. At the same time, she started holding her ever-growing belly, protective of her baby. Taking a deep breath, she looked at her companions. "So...Who wants to go first?"

Alisa shrugged "It's more or less my job." she said and stepped in. It was a small, dark and dirty lobby, they can barely see anything inside with just the faint moonlight. Opposite of the entrance was a wall mirror, covered by layers of dirt, reflected the moonlight around the lobby and another door, which Alisa went to. Clenching her fist around her sword's hilt, she said: "Give us some light, Silva.". Followed behind her, without any notable expression, the wizard snapped his finger and a small ball of pale light appeared out of thin hair before Alisa, lightened the old door. It opened easy when she pushed it. The pale light can only lit a small part of the next room, which looked fairly larger than the last one. So far, nothing seemed to be out of place, for an abandoned house at least.

As soon as the last person was inside, the door slammed shut behind them and clicked, meaning that it was now locked. Susana looked back, with a hand on her belly. Since they weren't fighting or anything anytime soon, she decided not to take out her wand or any of the sort. "Well, I guess we're gonna be in here for a while." She said, a little concerned, gently rubbing her belly while holding onto her back as well, staying close behind Alisa.

It started raining outside and there was thunder and lightning. Frederick looked around and heard creaking in the kitchen. He kept an arrow on the bowstring, in case he needed to shoot at a moment's notice.

"Hey hey!" Silva whispered impatiently "I don't want to stay here all night, call the ghost out or something". Hissed in reply, Elisa said: "I'm no summoner, if anything, I would prefer they stay where they are until we have inspected the place and got an idea of what we are dealing with." Raised her shield, drew her sword, Elisa approaches the kitchen with the cold expression of killing intention. A spark of fire was growing in Silva's left hand, on the other, his staff pointed at the kitchen. "Don't burn down the house". "I know." he answered. With a swift move, he threw the mini fireball to the source of the creaking sound.

"We're not gonna be here all night, Silva." Frederick said as he kept his bow at the ready. When he had thrown the fireball, it ended up hitting a skeleton, which ended up falling a part and the skull rolled over to Alisa's feet. "That is totally not creepy at all." Susana said, laughing nervously as they advanced through the house. Frederick entered the kitchen first, scanning with the bow. A shadowy figure looked at the group through a window...before walking away. In the dining room, a light came on, but it was very dim...Candles maybe? Susana made herself useful and stuck close, grabbing a touch to illuminate their path.

When he got close enough to the dining room, Frederick snuck up closer towards the wall and saw a shadow, sitting on the end of the dining room table. Looking at the rest of the group, he signaled for them to keep quiet.

"Let's hope a skeleton is the best they can do to threaten us" Silva said and followed Frederick into the kitchen. When they entered the room, Elisa stared intensely at the shadow, she stepped next to Frederick, wondering if she should say something to the shadow, appeared to have been waiting for its guests. But they kept silent and waited for the shadow's next move.

The Shadow on the other side simply sipped his wine. Hearing Silva, it smiled. "Welcome to my humble home adventurers. What brings you here?" It asked. Frederick was a little terrified if he was being honest with himself. "Please, come out of hiding. This is not how to treat your host, is it?" It asked, still grinning and taking a sip of wine once more. From what Frederick could tell, it was the voice of a man. He also sounded formal...Like a gentleman almost. Susana simply got a little nervous and started rubbing her belly.
