International commerce is controlled by an oligarchy of corporations and gangsters, known as the Godhead Group. Together, they make up a majority of real estate holdings, entertainment, and illegal activity all over the globe. They have bribed a great number of the people whose job it is to expose or stop them. At the top is a shadowy figure named Hunter Ross, a ruthless businessman who prefers to stay out of the public eye. However, the world was not enough for this man. The Godhead Group began running illegal human experiments on gravely injured individuals, utilizing cutting edge genetic splicing. As a result, these people were not only healed, but they also gained incredible powers. For years now, they have existed under the radar, leading normal lives. Recently though, Hunter Ross began a major move to take over the political sphere of the city and the lives of its inhabitants. It's only a matter of time before he targets the powered individuals to ensure that nothing stands in his way. He must be stopped.
The story will revolve around the group's mission in dismantling Ross' network of gangsters and corporations. Both vigilantism and legitimate legal proceedings will be needed to bring him down.

What's Needed:
In general, I'm looking for rpers who are at an advanced literate, multi-paragraph writing level. But, as always, not every situation can support that kind of length. Particular circumstances, such as combat or dialogue, are free to have relatively short posts. The primary focus though are members who can practice sincere character building and produce an engaging dynamic between said characters. There are also factors in terms of cunning and ooc mental capacity / knowledge, as each character has a specific skillset that they bring to the table. This rp is certainly not for those who think in terms of "things are happening to me," but it is for those who decide "I'm going to make things happen." After all, dismantling (or if you're an antagonist, running) a network of gangsters and international corporations is not a task for the timid.
Antagonists (Not all of these roles necessarily need to be fulfilled, but a few of them should hopefully catch your eye):
Whoever holds this role will be responsible for being the overall antagonist for the group and creating the story's master plan, with my collaboration. Much of the rp, for the beginning and intermediate parts, will be character building and meeting with the rest of the Godhead Group in LA. However, ooc networking with the rest of the antagonists will be needed to ensure that everything goes according to plan. If you choose this role, you will have executive control over all antagonist NPCs, including those who fall under the different administrations (see below). In many ways, you will be the co-owner of the rp, as you will be the driving force that keeps things moving as much as I do. But, because of this, it is preferable that someone very dedicated and active takes this role. Due to the overall nature of the task, it is recommended that you also have prior DM experience and the mind of a true evil genius ;PName to be decided by the future player. The Cartel is in charge of funneling narcotics into the streets of LA, as well as running a great deal of the gangs within the city. They fund the bribes that are given to the local police departments, along with some of the other operations that keep the Godhead functioning. It is not uncommon for them to dabble in human trafficking, including the kidnap and/or exploitation of young women.Name to be decided by the future player. Whereas the Mexican Drug Cartel is definitely a criminal organization, the Korean Mafia is somewhat of a strange mix between legitimate business and illegal activity. While they channel millions of dollars into LA's tech industry via stocks and legal corporate cash, they also use their knowledge and control of the system to smuggle exotic guns into the city. However, a stream of weapons is not the only threat that they represent. Their sophisticated and disciplined way of doing things ensures that, within the next decade, they could hold a monopoly in technology, and by extension, entertainment and media. Such an outcome would secure the Godhead's grip on LA for years to come.Name and company name to be decided by the future player. "Private security," to anyone who's aware, is just a fancy term for legal mercenaries. Whether it's supplying actual security, or acting as hitmen to eliminate unwanted problems, these hired guns bring firepower and experience to the areas where normal thugs don't operate. Many within this company's ranks are notorious for their professionalism, and they have done everything from framing people for murder to assassinating prominent politicians.- Superpowered antagonists or villain leaders who do not fit the above roles are certainly welcome; just run your ideas by me. It should be noted that anyone who plays an antagonist cannot have an ooc mindset to "win." While that attitude is certainly welcomed irp, it has to be understood that, inevitably, Ross' network will be taken apart. The ultimate goal is to provide a complex, engaging story with a rewarding conclusion. However, if you're part of the Godhead administration (gang/corporate leader), you are permitted to create a lesser villain to continue rping. That can range from superpowered thugs, street dealers, professional assassins, etc.Name and company name to be decided by the future player. Unbeknownst to the city's inhabitants, the owner of the largest shipping business in LA has been using his resources to move drugs and guns through the streets. After receiving these goods from the Mexican and Korean gangs, he can transport them to street dealers and progress the city's suffering, or give them to the owner of the private security firm.

However, we calculate from the force exerted on the door that he is able to bench press at least 8000 pounds. Research Summary:
Patient was taken from Kaiser Foundation Hospital, Los Angeles. Due a severe motorvehicle accident, she was diagnosed with third degree burns and total blindness. After being taken to the research facility, she underwent surgery at 0700 hours on April 20, 2017. The operation was completed at 1423.
Following two weeks in a coma, patient made a full recovery with some temporary mental side effects as a result of the operation. However, she had developed the ability to manipulate light through a biomechanism that is still unknown. Combined with her disoriented mental state, the patient proved to be inadvertently dangerous, and testing was difficult to perform. Though various abilities were observed, only two concrete conclusions were able to be drawn from the limited data that was obtained: the patient is able to affect photons on a quantum level, and she is able to absorb light and produce bioluminescence through chemical means. The degree of her maximum output is uncertain, as her focus seemed to fluctuate because of her confused psychological state.
However, the patient was able to begin recovering and, without proper equipment to hold her, researchers were ordered to execute her. This procedure went awry, and she escaped the facility on May 2, 2017.

Research Summary:
Unlike other patients, Violet was taken during her walk home from school. The genetic splicing procedure needed to be performed on a child for research purposes, but no staff at the various adolescent hospitals would consent to allowing one of their patients to be taken. Because of this, Violet is the only non-injured patient that H.G.P. has experimented on.
Her procedure took place on January 9, 2014 at 16:36 hours, and it was completed at 18:52 hours. As a likely outcome from the fact that she was not injured, the patient made a full recovery on the same day. The well known side effects occurred, but tests were not able to be performed due to the nature of her abilities. Staff could not stop a girl that could turn into smoke. Any observation of her powers were taken from security feeds. From what could be seen, the patient controls how much of herself reverts to a gaseous state. This state has proven to be toxic to humans. As well, she can produce a flurry of embers from her palms, used to blind anyone who gets too close. However, it would appear that her abilities are finite. Halfway through her escape, she smashed a computer and absorbed its smoke through her skin and respiratory system. She escaped the research facility on January 9, 2014 at 22:04 hours. [/div]
