Personality: A realist, even if the years have added a bit of a cynical edge, Grant views life a day at a time, thinking ahead to much can be scary in current times. He sometimes feels a bit underappreciated especially as he is one of the older pilots, as well as one of few who knows how to fix up the various mechs. He does enjoy seeing the younger crew get to grips with the machines and fight the good fight as it were. He isn't really saddened even by the loss of his arm especially due to the fact that was long time ago.He only gets angry if someone he cares about is hurt. The mechanic also is know as a bit of a cook able to make due with limited food the ship has.

Mercury O: A old mech by the standards of today the old girl, as Grant calls her, used to be powerhouse back in the day has been refitted to be a repair mech as its size and strength were seen as assets in moving a mech parts about.
Robotic arm: Grant lost his arm during a fight with a rather nasty monster. Getting a robotic arm, it makes a good replacement as it can take more weight, gripping onto things and doesn't feel pain (unless it got liked ripped off.
A personalized chain gun: Grant made the weapon on his off time. He found the broken weapon in the back store room of the base. Fixing it up Grant thinks he could most likely make a decent dent in a mech.
