In the year 2110, there was a special group of cops made to search out not your typical people. The people that there looking for are more dangerous and daring than your normal humans, there's vampires, wolves, anything you can think of it's out there. They've been partners for two years, but one was bit by a vampire three months after he was assigned his partner. He's been fighting his urges to take a bite out of his partner and friend.

Personality: Quiet and nice to his friends but can be mean and physically abusive towards people who tick him off.
History: Tanner was an only child who ran away from home after his mom died, she was the only reason he stay near that abusive man who called himself Tanner's father, he wanted to be a cop to try and make sure that no one else lived through what he and his mother did.
Tanner was bit by a vampire while on one of his first assignments after getting his first partner on the night shift.

(( Tartaglia Tartaglia ))

Tanner was still half asleep when the elevator stopped on his floor, he'd had trouble sleeping all day. His hair was mess, uncombed and fell in his face, he'd been so tired he'd buttoned his wrong and it wasn't tucked in. He had his coat in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other. He looked a little pale, even for him, and he was trying hard to stifle a yawn as he stepped off the elevator and headed to his desk.

What was making it so hard for him to sleep was he hadn't had a chance to feed in over a week now. He'd lost his connection to the black market once they discovered he was a cop and thought this was a set up.

Tanner dropped his coat over the back of his chair and scanned his thumb print to turn on his computer and unlock his gun safe in his desk. He pulled the gun out and clipped it to the back of his belt, square down the middle of his back, as his computer booted it and wished him a good evening pulling up the assignments for the evening.

Name: Astoria Evanesco
Age: 23 years
Looks: Link
Race: Human
Personality: Astoria is pretty timid around most people, only showing off her true self around the people she's close to. When meeting someone for the first time, she tends to be reserved and putting on a polite attitude but once you get to know her, she's usually pretty bright and bubbly. She came from a family of misfits, being notorious around where she lives. So her aspiring to become a cop has led to some raised eyebrows and doubts. The first few months were rough and she wasn't easily trusted considering her background but eventually, she fitted in and made several close friends. The bandage on her neck covers a wound that has never actually healed, inflicted upon her from a past mission by a voodoo user.

Astoria hummed as she would enter the office a few moments after Tanner would. She held a folder filled with several papers she would need to sort out as soon as she could, in her other hand, she held a mug of hot chocolate to warm her up from the cold evening. She went to sit on the chair behind her desk, settling the folder down as well as the mug.

She looked up, her bright blue eyes observing Tanner for awhile before she tilted her head with a small hum "You look awfully beat, Tan." she said, her tone hinting a light bit of amusement as well as worry. Over the course of two years in this field, she had grown to be fond of her partner, now watching over him even outside of their duties. Astoria had considered him more than just a mere partner but as a friend she can rely on as well.

She went to turn back to the folder in front of her, taking out the papers and giving them a few taps on the desk to even them out "Are there any assignments for us this evening?" she asked, her eyes now trained on the papers as she shifted them about. They were mostly news articles regarding the different cases they had went through and she would need to sort them out by date to submit to their head for their follow up report.

"You should see the other guy..." Tanner mumbled in response to Astoria's comment about him looking beat. He couldn't help but smirk a little though, everyone else at the station wouldn't even dare speak to Tanner before he'd had a couple cups of coffee. He wasn't the nicest guy in the world first thing in the evening. He was scanning through the reports on his screen, weeding out the cases that were human related.

He downed what was left to his coffee with a single shoulder shrug as he kept searching through. "So far it's just normal's." He muttered and got up to get another cup of coffee. He switched to the screen on his watch/cuff. He paused in his scrolling and had frozen in place half way to the coffee. "This looks promising!" He said with a half smile, he'd had to learn how to smile without relieving his sharp, freshly cut fangs.
He'd trying having them removed, he'd even pulled them out himself once, but they always grew back so he'd finally given up and learned how to work around them.

"Possible wolf attack," He called to his partner as he poured far too much sugar into his cup before he added some coffee. Dark but very sweet. "Grab your crap, we gotta move." He said lowering his arm turning his wrist computer off. He took a sip of his coffee and grabbed his jacket, "Oh, and you're driving." He smiled his half smile again. He said it every time but there was no need really, he'd never driven the entire time they'd been working together.

A snort left Astoria's lips. Whoever this other guy that Tanner was referring to, she certainly had no idea considering he was the one who looked way more tired for her. She decided not to mention it to him anymore, downing her cup of warm cocoa. She hummed as she worked, not minding Tanner until he had exclaimed.

Her blue eyes were filled with curiosity as to what he had seen and excitement soon replaced them when Tanner had spoken about what it is. She went to grab her trench coat, wearing it over her clothes before she took her own pistol, securing it in her belt. He didn't even need to tell her that she would be driving-- it was already instilled in her that she'd always be the driver, him riding shotgun. She rolled her eyes as she grabbed the keys to their vehicle from the desk "Oh yay." She said, mocking excitement.

She went out of the office and stepped into the elevator, pressing the button for the basement where their car was parked. She would wait until Tanner was inside before closing the elevator doors. The cheesy elevator music came on and she tapped her feet, her black boots contrasting against the white surface. The doors dinged open and she headed out, striding towards their vehicle before she climbed on the driver's seat, starting the engine.

"Where to?"

Tanner tossed his jacket into his seat and placed his coffee cup on top of the car, he went to tuck in his shirt when he noticed it wasn't buttoned properly. "Thanks for telling me I looked like a homeless junkie..." He muttered as he started unbuttoning his shirt to straighten it out. Once he'd unbuttoned his shirt he leaned into the car and make a choking sound as he switched the report from his cuff computer to the cars computer.

Astoria's scent was overwhelming in the closeness of the car and it always hit the back of his throat, but with him being almost completely starved it was even stronger. "It's actually on a nicer side of town, tonight." He said as he made a face then straightened himself up out of the car and buttoned his shirt correctly and tucked it in, careful about leaving it loose so the gun in the middle of his back wasn't totally noticeable. He picked up his cup of coffee and breathed in deeply, the bitter smell of coffee trying to mask his partner's scent.

With a long sigh Tanner slid into his seat, sitting on his jacket and leaned back, as he pulled the door closed he made sure to crack the window slightly so he could have some kind of break from her smell. He reached with his free hand to pull up the details on the case on the cars screen but he was too choked by the smell of Astoria's blood to even speak.

"Naww, I didn't say you looked like one, just said you look like you've been through a lot." She said with a humorous chuckled, backing out of the basement as soon as Tanner had settled in. She stepped on the gas as soon as the car was in position and they sped their way.

She hummed in response to his words, her eyes flitting towards the screen that showed the details every so often but couldn't really get a good grasp of it seeing as it was hard to concentrate on another object while driving "Hey, Tan, mind telling me more about the assignment?" She asked before a cool female voice spoke from the screen "Turn left." Astoria did so.

The scenery was quiet and peaceful, there weren't any signs of disturbances yet. Astoria figured that there wasn't much happenings tonight, which was about as good as it gets though her mind couldn't help but wander over her caffeine junkie partner who was slowly making her worried the more she thought about the difference in his physical state before and now. She didn't want to ask about his well being now, though she made a mental note to talk to him about it later on.

Tanner was still finding it hard to speak with her scent choking him and he was trying his hardest to keep his eyes from shifting to red with hunger. "Possible Werewolf attack..." He choked again and tried to clear his throat and sipped his coffee. He looked out the window and rolled it down a little more trying to clear out the smell in the car. "No positive ID just a possible. It's an apartment complex lower income. Really not sure what we're about walk into."

He finished his coffee and leaned back his seat a little more and closed his eyes like he was trying to fall asleep, but he was trying to keep control over himself. "I need to stop going out before bed..." He muttered trying play off that he was so tired from goofing off during the day, but it felt like his stomach was trying to eat it's self. "But... She was kinda worth it..." He smirked lightly like he was remembering something, but he was actually trying to come up with a plan to get his hands on some grade A blood.

Astoria nodded her head, eyes focused on the road as she followed directions that the voice from the screen spoke to her "10 minutes until arrival." Came the voice from the screen. Astoria bit her bottom lip, feeling a small burn from the wound beneath the bandages that wrap her neck. She should've treated it and replaced the bandages with newer ones. A sigh left her lips as she made a final turn, making a mental note to take care of it later on.

It had been during one of their missions where they had encountered a mage who practiced dark magic. As the medics at their office told Astoria, the wound inflicted upon her was from a cursed blade, the wound never going to fully heal and will continue to be an ugly, dark patch of open skin on her neck. Nobody but her knew about it, and the medics who tend to it.

They finally arrived at a chaotic looking apartment complex. Already, she could see the wreck. Broken windows and shattered glasses, a wide open front door and a flickering street lamp. This was their place alright. Astoria parked the car a few distance away from the scene, already taking the yellow tape and turning the engine off "Aight, guess this is it." She said as she got out, closing the door and letting her eyes scan the area.

Tanner jumped out of the car and took deep breaths trying to clear his head again, his stomach was screaming in pain from hunger. He pulled his jacket on, it doubled as his bulletproof vest, and drew his weapon from it's holster on his back. He kept his weapon pointed downward, close to his side, as he crossed to the apartment complex. His jacket had the word Police across the back, it was a lit with a soft glow.
He gave a small nod to Astoria before he rushed up the steps and started clearing the first floor, he knew that Astoria would be close behind him. It looked like there'd been a huge fight, doors were broken, the lights that had once been on the walls were hanging down flickering on and off. The smell of blood hit Tanner like a train! It was everywhere... Different types and kinds. He could make out dog, werewolf and human blood. He tried not to moan with hunger, he cleared his throat as quietly as he could, raising his weapon as he ducked into one of the apartments to clear it.
