Characters


The need for a varying spectrum of characters is required. Things like jobs, ethnicities, etc. are up to the applicant to create, however all characters will fall under three main categories.





Humans


This is exactly what it says it is. Humans, your normal everyday people. Whether they be politicians, doctors, scientists, assembly line workers, strippers, etc. is up to the applicant. Humans will make up the largest percentage of the population, and aside from those submitted by applicants, will largely be played NPC as needed.





Soldiers of the Republic (SR’s)


SR’s are humans that have undergone intense mental and physical evaluation and training. Once they were deemed appropriate, they are given biogenetic treatments in the form of a series of injections followed ultimately by a neurotransmitter implant. The treatments enhance the strength, speed, agility, hand eye coordination, etc. of the SR. The implants regulate the SR’s endocrine system according to situation. The transmitters trigger certain glands and can cause mass outputs of adrenaline, dopamine, ADH, etc. SR’s can regulate their body’s fatigue, metabolism, awareness, arousal, etc. They are the most feared and respected officers the Republic has to offer.





Chosen


The Chosen are individuals who have been picked by a deity and have received some gift from them. Chosen may be humans or SR’s. The gift(s) received will depend on the deity, their level of power, the individual, etc. All Chosen may initially receive only one gift. Any further ones bestowed upon them must be approved prior to use IC. Applicants must submit information about the deity and the particular gift that has been bestowed upon the Chosen.

Name: Madeline Sinclair (SR 850-F65)

Occupation: Soldier of the Republic - Mainly charged with inter-district shipment escort & crowd control.


Blessed Deity: None at the time being


Power(s): Implants in her neurotransmitters have given Madeline enhanced sight, strength, and agility. She is able to channel increased amounts of adrenaline, epinephrine, endorphins, etc. through her system to aid her as needed.


Strengths: Skilled in multiple forms of hand-to-hand combat (i.e. krav maga, boxing, aikido, judo). She has passed advanced firearms training as well as accelerant/detonation training. Nano-chip implant in right wrist for ID reading and body scans. Ocular implant in right eye allowing her to transmit messages, access government files, etc. Some medical training.


Bio: Madeline is a multi-starred Soldier of the Republic. She resides in Reliquum, but travels frequently throughout the republic. Born in the beginning stages of the new Republic, this life has been all she really knows. She was the daughter of a single mother, who became a widow when Madeline's father was KIA during a tour fighting religious warfare extremists overseas. She believes in the cause of the Republic, and truly things that religious expression leads only to war. She believes it is the only non-tangible thing in this world that people kill over. She showed great promise for an SR career when she was still in gradeschool, and as soon as she graduated she took the SR test. Her physical exam showed she was a perfect match for the neurotransmitter program, so she underwent it without hesitation.


Madeline is generally a level-headed person. She tends to see logic where others cannot sometimes. She is a little more friendly than the norm when it comes to SR's, but she isn't exactly warm or bubbly. She has, what she believes to be, a too-old version of a neurotransmitter enhancer in her adrenal glands. It can act up sometimes, causing her adrenaline to go into over-drive and making the fight or flight response become too much, triggering a sort of frenzy that can last anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes. She is cordial, and cares about the well-being of others, but she has a tendency to distance herself from time to time. Her only living relative is her older half-brother, a doctor who travels the Republic frequently for medical research.

Power(s): Can manipulate water in a 20 ft. radius around his position and can make water materialize if he has unbroken concentration


Strengths: vicious fighter, cunning, and a very good musician


Bio: At a very early age Dante was bullied horrifically. At first he could just talk circles around them. That only made it worse. Bullies being the primitive creatures they are decided to teach him a lesson the old way. As you can probably imagine Dante didn't take this well. He started becoming vicious and cruel. Beating them to within an inch of their life at times. Everyone began to hate him. Some were so scared they ran at the first sight of him. Despite this he never felt alone. Almost as if someone was with him. Quickly he took to music to hide from the harsh realities of life. Only truly caring for his music this further isolated him. As soon as he graduated he hit the road and wandered for a few years.

Blessed Deity: Sekhmet- The Egyptian Goddess of the sun, war, and plagues.


Power(s): Much to her relief she no longer feels the cold so romping around in almost nothing is a cinch! A touch from this young woman is enough to give life to any sickness known to man; the disease can be contagious or not and they tend to be antibiotic resistant. The ability to alter the ambient temperature of a room to lethal levels she also has the ability to emit one heat wave up to 40 feet, but this leaves her exhausted for 24-48 hours.


Strengths: Manipulative, "hot" is an over exposed, shameless way of dressing that speaks volumes about her confidence level, sharp minded, pick pocket, resourceful,


Bio: Being born and raised in the Auster District, Bird has always had a rough time of it. At nearly 16 she moved out of her "house" to squat in an abandoned building. Since then she has picked up a job as a dancer not far from her house and spends most of her off time partying and passing out on someone's floor; not the most glamorous start for a teenager, but she makes her way just about as well as anyone can in Auster.


Her sharp mind and sharper tongue have earned Bird a reputation in the social clique near her home and place of employment; everyone and no one wants a piece of the little spitfire from out of town.


A hot commodity at work Bird brings in good money which she flips to fuel her coke habit and whatever else is on the menu for the night; she survives entirely off junk food as as a wicked sweet tooth that her good paying regulars know too well.


Most people dream of a brighter tomorrow, but Bird doesn't do a whole lot of future thinking, her life is fast paced and fun.

1.) If your character is going to have the profession that she does, she needs to be 18 years of age or older.


2.) I am not comfortable with a photo that appears to be a minor in an outfit such as that.

I would ideally like to get at least 5-6 people. But seeing as we have three definite people now, I don't see why we can't start. I should be able to get a post up some time tomorrow morning!
