Hello I need help with gmod because me and a friend want to play together but I always get by steam error and when I send him and invite it says it doesn't show up.

That's common. Almost every Source game screws up with making own servers.
And creating one is, well...
There are these 2 ways:
Buy an nintardo server (Not recommend in this chase)
Watch an long and painfully (ok 8min but you must understand it) how to create one with hamachi.
Later you can add mods and wutever in folders, BUT THESE ARE THE THINGS YOU NEED TO MAKE A WORKING SERVER. Just 'creating' one without anything else screws up.
