Mallory Morgan

. Mallory had a quite relaxing day so far, not having any plans except the fundraiser this evening meant that Mallory was able to sleep in till the late morning. After waking up, she made herself a cup of tea before returning back to bed so to lie in comfort to read her book. The house was quiet and Mallory guessed that the girls were both at work but she wondered where everyone else was. She didnt wonder for too long however and decided instead to enjoy the peace and silence that was quite rare in this house.
After an hour or so of reading, Mallory pulled herself from the bed and got into the hot shower, she supposed it was time that she began to get ready for tonight. She was looking forward to tonight, Francis' fundraisers and events were always carried out to the up most highest standard and the night always carried out perfectly. The woman surely worked her fingers to the bone but the nights that she produced were definitely ones to be proud off.
After her shower, Mallory first started with her hair, she dried it straight before ruffling it carefully with her fingers to give it a bit of life. Then she started on her makeup, Mallory loved doing makeup, she found it to be a relaxing process even though it does take some time, it was time that Mallory did not mind spending. She smiled fondly as she remembered doing Dorothys makeup when she was younger and had only started to wear it. It was moments like that she treasured, moments with her children and husband which brought a happy smile to her face. Memories of experiences that her children had got that she never had.
Mallory finished her makeup and moved to her wardrobe and pulled out her black dress which she had bought specifically for the event. She dawned a pair of black heels and looked herself over in the mirror with a small smile before making her way down in the lounge. Mallory was probably dressed way to early but she didnt mind that, she loved dressing up and looking elegant.
As she poured herself a drink, Mallory heard the door open and someone call out. She recognised the voice as Imogen's instantly. "In here darling, do you want a drink?" She called out from the lounge.

Leon Redwyne

"You too, kid." Leon would somehow smile at the teenager. He doesn't know Dorothy's personality very well since they don't interact with each other even though Leon has been an employee of Dexter Morgan for almost five years. He would wait for the teenager as she went to the counter to grab some bill. A minute later, the teenager
would return and she would put the bill on Leon's table, the teenager would joke which Leon would smile a bit.

"You have a sense of humor, kid. Anyways see ya." Leon said as he puts the money on the bill, he would stand up as he grab his suit and would leave the Hideout. He would then hitch a ride which is a Taxi. He would enter the taxi.

"Good evening, sir." the taxi driver looked at him with a smile.

"Good evening." Leon replied as he takes a seat on the taxi and would close the door beside him.

"Where to, sir?" The taxi driver asked.

"To the Alley Cat." Leon replied.

"Ah! You're invited at the charity event?" The taxi driver politely asked.

"Yes, now go, I'm almost late." Leon said.

The taxi driver would nod at him and the driver accelerates the vehicle and the destination would be at the Alley Cat. Leon would grab his cigarette and would calmly smoke inside the vehicle. He was tired at work but he needs to attend this fundraiser event, either way, he is refreshed since he drink a coffee. It would take several minutes to the destination, he thought.

Evan is in the shower for almost ten minutes, thinking about his girlfriend Jane. He was having a shower thoughts again, he would remember the days when he courted Jane and eventually becoming official couples, he would even remember that they graduated together at the University of London and sadly he would remember the car accident which happened at the cold night of winter 1962. He would punch the wall and takes a deep breath. He sighs.

And then he would hear several knocks and his father's voice. He would now be awaken from reality and switch off the sprinkles. He grab his towel to clean himself. He would equip his towel and then he gets out of the bathroom. He would unlock the room and his father was there, folding his arms.

"Come in, dad. Just give me a minute." He sighs as he would grab his fresh shirt and a new suit to get dressed for the fundraiser event.

Damian Morgan

Damian rubbed his eyes as he had recently woken up from his blissful sleep, getting up with a yawn and deciding to go take a shower. The shower wasn't that long but it helped the sleepiness go away, something that he was happy. As he got dressed, he had decided against wearing a suit since he really didn't feel like wearing one and it helped that he had to clean them first before he decided to wear one. Signing, he nodded when he saw that he was completely ready and started to bead downstairs. One thing that he was wondering was what exactly was as to what was he doing yesterday? Besides going to college and heading to the Alley Cat, what did he do?

Once Damian had gotten to the first floor, he had seen how his mother was awake and already dressed, pouring herself some drink while in the lounge. "Mother." He greeted her before heading toward the kitchen and grabbing himself a glass of water and then heading back to the lounge area. He wasn't a smoker or a drinker, honestly the only thing he drank was water or juice, but besides that, nothing else.

Desmond Forbes

rsz_1richard-armitage-hannibal.jpg
Desmond examined himself critically in the mirror, smoothing out the suit, vest, and tie he wore with meticulous care. He felt suddenly like he was back in the barracks, making sure his dress uniform was fit and proper prior to inspection. The blacks and dark reds of his clothing were subdued, almost drab. He had little doubt that the other, more well-to-do men present at the Alley Cat would put his attire to shame. The knowledge didn't faze Desmond -- he had no interest in the spotlight whatsoever. He would not be taking part in the auction; he had neither the funds nor the inclination to avail himself of one of the company of one of Francis' women.

Des was content to enjoy the festivities and company, such as they were, while also keeping an eye on the proceedings. More than a few of his employers and benefactors would be present, after all, and they paid him to protect their lives just as much as they did to take those who crossed them. The Morgans had nothing to fear from Francis, of course. She was as noble a soul as Desmond had come to know in the East End, regardless of her line of work. The Russells, on the other hand, were a different story all together. With a sigh and a nod, Desmond made his way out of the flat, locking up behind him as he tossed his jacket over his shoulders and headed down to the street.

Desmond arrived minutes later at the Alley Cat. It was brimming with visitors, as was to be expected based on what Margaret had told him in the days previous when he visited her. It was she who had originally invited him. It was his first time attending the event; he had come into the Morgan's employ only a month after the previous fundraiser. He waited patiently in line, smiling and nodding as one of the staff members politely reminded him of the "no guns" rule. It was a sensible precaution considering the mixed company present for the event, as much as Des hated being disarmed. After spending a not-inconsiderable amount of one's life waking, eating, sleeping, and occasionally fighting with a weapon at your side, it was difficult to put the compulsion aside in polite company.

As he finally entered the club proper, Desmond scanned the sea of faces for those who would be familiar. His eyes fall on Margaret first. For all her obvious fluster, the woman was clearly in her element. Des was happy to see that she was moving up at the Cat. Noting the presence of Francis alongside her, he decided to give his friend a wide berth for the time being so as to not distract her before making his way toward the back of the establishment.

Will hid it well, but he was quite irritated that he had been interrupted during his introduction to Liam, and it counted for nothing that Liam didn't attempt to answer him after the others had spoken. He was sure the guy was fine, but it wouldn't stop him from being cautious for the time-being. Anything to ensure Evelyn's safety. Part of him wanted to repeat the question, but then Clementine spoke and suggested getting to the fundraiser on time was more important than his interrogation.

"Yeah, alright, mum," he drily remarked. "I'd hate to be the one to get between you and a new dress, eh?" he said, his demeanour softening as as he placed a kiss on his mother's cheek. He then looked to everyone else and pointed towards the front door. "Alright, kids. The limo is parked outside and Jim's driving us there, so we'd best hurry, because he doesn't know how to drive fast. Go on. Go!" he said, as if rounding up a bunch of children.

Will placed his arm around Jacky and pulled her in close for a moment. "I'll be glad when tonight is over with," he admitted to her. Something about his whole family, the Morgans and such a high profile event happening all at once was quite unsettling. He would hardly be able to relax completely with that kind of pressure building up. He was never the life and soul of a party, something he'd acknowledged some time ago.

***********
Once they arrived at the Alley Cat, Will stepped out of the limo and turned to help Jacky climb out too. He then placed his arm around her waist as they entered the club, with his family no doubt close behind. As soon as he sighted Francis he approached her, along with his fiancee. "Francis," he began, placing a peck on her cheek. "Excellent work, as always," he complimented her. He had business to discuss, but that was for much later into the night. Giving Jacky time to speak with her friend, he looked around to see who else was present. He noticed Oliver at the bar, then Allison and Harvey a short distance away. No sign of Dexter Morgan himself, yet.

Imogen Isaac

emma_stone_gangster_squad.jpg Imogen heard Mallory's voice and walked over to join her. A childhood of elocution and etiquette tuition meant the actress walked ever so elegantly and spoke in a refined way which differed from the Morgan side of her family. Every so often, a little of the East End would slip into her speech and that didn't bother Imogen one bit. People had been known to judge her as being a snob, which grated on her to no end. She liked to think she wasn't like her biological mother at all. Mallory was a better mother than the other woman had been.

"Mallory, you look fabulous! I would love a drink. Thank you!" she replied, relieved to be able to unwind for a short time before the party. With it being such a public event, she knew it would be more like work for her, trying not to put a foot out of line in case the wrong people were watching. "Rehearsals have been a real pain today. I'll be glad when I can be Nancy again," she admitted. "Where's dad? I thought I was running late!"

Imogen saw Damian enter the kitchen and sent him smile. "Evening, Damian," she called out. She knew it had taken him some time to get used to her, but she hoped he was comfortable around her by now.

Hanna would arrive at her apartment, she would quickly grab her apartment keys and would unlock the door. She quickly went in to her apartment and closed the door, she would put the apartment keys and her elegant handbag on the table and she would go to her bedroom and opens her closet, she quickly grabs her grand formal wear for the fundraiser event which the color of what she will wear is dark red and also a stylish black fur, she would get dressed and finally she's done. She would take a look at herself from the mirror which she cheesely smiles.

"Voortreffelijk, Johanna!" She winks at herself on the mirror as she performs 'two handguns' and pulled the trigger by using her hands.

"I'm almost late, stront!" Hanna would quickly grab her handbag and her apartment keys. She would put her handbag on her elbow as she locked her apartment.

She would go back to Reyne Bistro to tell her staff members that she wouldn't be here until midnight or later and she tasked Aaron to be in charge for the staff members. Minutes later, she would left the Reyne Bistro and would take a taxi that is going for The Alley Cat. Hanna Reyne is surely excited for this fundraiser event. She will gonna meet Francis Boulevard and her friendly business rival Dexter Morgan in the event, in fact, she was ready.

Evelyn hoped Liam didn't notice how she was practically holding her breath, but when William offered her a warm smile she knew she could possibly be in for it. Relief never felt so sweet as William seemed to tone back the protectiveness he normally showed with men who had taken interest in the young las. And if it wasn't him who scared the poor bastards off, it was bound to be another one of the brothers. Evelyn turned to Timmy as he addressed her and was just about to answer when their mother entered the room and took care of replying for her. Evelyn let Liam and William talk, as it seemed now was the perfect time for a full background check on the young man, and turned to her mother with open arms."Oh mummy you look absolutely splendid this evening." Evie enjoyed her mother's work very much and was so excited when she would reveal new looks.

Timmy came back down the stairs and address Liam finally, giving him a pat on the shoulder and calling him a bloke instead of his name. Knowing Timmy, he probably drank away the memory of it from last night. Evelyn had warned all her brothers about this date and that she would have their heads if they screwed it up. She even went as far as to make them pinky swear, which might seem adolescent to some...but she was more than serious about it. Once everyone had greeted the other and the Russell's were beginning to crowd the once large room, their mother looked to William and reminded him that she did not want to be late. Seeing this as the perfect opportunity, since Liam was now smiling towards her. Evelyn nodded her head in agreement with her mother. "Yes yes, Willie you know mum has been looking forward to this for a while! interrogate later!" She complained to her oldest brother before returning the smile to Liam and leaning in to whisper in his ear. "Hope you haven't changed your mind about me already." It was a teasing tone, though she was genuinely nervous to hear what he thought of her large family.

Allison smiled as her brother as he graciously agreed to get them drinks, she watched him leave the group for a moment before turning her eyes back to Francis. Her eyes widened with delight to hear that Clementine's work would be up for bidding. Her hands lifted to clap together in brief delight. Their families may have not seen eye to eye on things, but one thing that has always been very similar was the fashion taste. At least for the women. Allison knew a great designer when she saw one, and she couldn't deny the woman had raw talent.

Waving her hand casually at Francis as she apologized for having to part so early, the blonde offered another delightful smile. "Oh please, don't save all the conversation for me. Enjoy yourself lovely." Watching the woman head off, Allison's eyes tracked down her brother. Icy orbs finding similar ones, she smiled gently his way before turning to Harvey briefly. Allison couldn't shake the feeling that something was gonna go down. Her eyes quickly found the Russell family making a grand entrance and she spoke to her brother's protege. "Hoping we can all have a good time tonight, but just in case, keep an eye on my brother will you?" She knew Harvey had always done just that, but she couldn't help but get vocal confirmation, a rare moment of vulnerability showing.

After a moment to let Harvey answer, Allison was satisfied. " Well Mr. Woodward, I'm going to go get my drink now. Feel free to join us." With that, she turned on her heels again and walked towards Ollie. "Ah brother, you always know what I like. Thank you dear."

When William pointed the limo at the front door and began to speak. Liam was quite amazed, I guess the family has some style, he thought. However, he haves his own Chevrolet Chevelle to ride on with his lovely girlfriend. "Uhh, I'll just go to my ride with your lovely little sister, if it's okay with you, mister Russell." Liam awkwardly smiled at him but then again they are late so he grabs Evelyn's arm gently and they would head towards Liam's car.

While they are walking towards to his car, his girlfriend Evelyn would whisper at him with a teasing tone which caused Liam to chuckle. "No, Miss Beautiful, well in fact, I guess the boss, Mister Ed, err-.. your uncle, was right. Your family has some style." He would smirk at her. As they would arrive at the car, he would open the door for his girlfriend. "After you." He winks at her. After that, Liam would turn on the engine and they proceed to go the Alley Cat. It should be in the Reyne Bistro but it was a change of plan since the main household has acknowledge him as Evelyn's girlfriend and they want the couple to be there at the event.

Edward would enter Evan's room, he looked at his son who is currently getting dressing up for the event. He was somehow disappointed at him due to the fact that he is being lazy but he knows the reason why he is doing this because of what happen in the past which damaged Evan's personality, Edward would sigh for a moment. He would look at Evan's clock on the table beside his bed, they were late and anyhow, Edward decides to ask his son about his sister's whereabouts.

"Hey Van, do you know where your sister Elena is? We are late, goddamn it." Edward would wait for his son's reply with a determined tone.

Harvey Woodward

Harvey noticed the Russells entered the club and his eyes fixed on Will at the same time as the other man looked his way. The two men were presently on civil terms with each other and as long as that lasted, Harvey would do what he could to maintain it. It paid to have at least one person in the Morgans who could act as a mediator and perhaps retain civilities for the sake of business and intelligence. With this in mind, Harvey sent an amicable smile in the other man's direction, to which Will nodded and smiled in return.

When Allison addressed him, Harvey brought his full attention back to the blonde. "I'll do what I can to ensure everyone has a good time and the fundraiser goes without any trouble. I will be sure to keep an eye on Oliver too," he agreed and reassured her. "It will be fine. If it isn't, I will knock some heads together," he half-joked. "I just want to see you having fun tonight, okay?"

Harvey accompanied Allison so she could get her drink from Oliver. Meanwhile, he requested a scotch for himself and return to the Morgan siblings with his drink in hand.

Oliver’s icy orbs decided to steer from his sisters interactions, and instead patrol the gathering. He had been here a good while without spotting a single Russell, making a mental note of that observations. But just as quickly as the thought was born, he spotted the grizzled leader of the opposing family, William Russell. The man was making his way to Francis, taking note his sister and Harvey has shifted away from the approachers, he momentarily locked eyed with the man. His icy pair meeting Will’s amber. Dipping his head as he sipped at his scotch, the friendliest greeting he would give to a enemy, he let his eyes wander away from the Russell.

Next he spotted a employee of the Morgan’s, Desmond Forbes. Good man. He had fought in the Korean War just like himself, barely scraping himself from the peninsula just as he did. Although he came out much more damaged than himself, knowing the the man’s constant struggle with addiction. Pain pills used to be a ailment to him for his leg, but gradually he had grown used to the stiff ache in his leg.

Allison once again snapped him from his thoughts, hearing her cheerful gratitude for fetching her drink. Handing it to her, his back leaned against the bar for support, he smiled coyly. “Why wouldn’t I?” Moving to allow room for his sister, he turned his head towards her, his voice slightly lowered, masked over the gathering. “Apologies for earlier, I remembered something a little unpleasant, shook me a bit...” Raising back to his usual collected and cool tone, shrugging off his last words, he continued addressing both Allison and Harvey. “But no matter, William Russell has finally arrived. I assume he’ll manage his way to us Morgan’s shortly... Mallory and Dexter are late per usual.” Scoffing to himself at the last bit about their adopted brother, he chuckled to himself. “That man is either late, or off fighting who knows who, hasn’t changed since we were kids!” Oliver had always been a man of urgency and precision, whilst his brother was more of a forceful person. Possibly the reason he was his advisor.

Damian had turned to nod at his half sister while he tried to finish drinking the water. Once he had finished the drink, he had placed the cup on the counter while greeting her. "Hello Imogen." Honestly, he had a hard time trying to adapt to having a half sister, even harder when he had to adapt to having her live with the family. He gave his mother a thumbs up when he saw that she was ready, looking fabulous like always. "You look wonderful like always Mother." He complimented her. It was true, his mother always knew how to dress up elegantly, it wouldn't do good if she took after some simpleton like those walking outside the streets. "So around what time would we be heading toward the Alley cat? Or has father not gotten ready yet?" He questioned since it was rare for his father to not be ready or maybe he had left for the event already. Sighing, he passed a hand through his hair as he though of the idea of speaking with people who where gonna attend, people who he considered worthless. Why did he consider them worthless? The answer came simple, all that mattered to him was the family, nothing more nothing less. Humans being where people who only knew how to betray, but family, they didn't, they never betrayed one of their own.

Damian sighed again before deciding to strike up a conversation with Imogen. "So how has the show been?" He questioned her since it kinda interested him her acting career. Sure he wasn't interested on how the show itself was doing, but he wanted to strike up some type of conversation with her. Misty Gray Misty Gray

Jacky could sense the tension William had towards Liam and the lack of answer the young man provided the eldest Russell, she thought to intervene; to place herself between the two. She felt for the young man, she knew how overwhelming the Russell's could be at first glance. She had once been the outsider in the family and she knew she would do anything to make sure Liam didn't turn away because he didn't feel the part. She was content to see Clementine intervene and encourage them all to head out. It was only a little worrisome to hear William admit he wanted the night to be over; in all the years she had known the man there was little that stressed him out but something recently seemed to be coming to a pitch. Now wasn't the time but she was certain she'd speak more on it later with him.

As predicted Francis' had gone above and beyond all expectations for the Alley Cat. While she didn't frequent the club all that often; her nights occupied with work, the place was astounding. She did well for herself and her reputation and Jacky felt the excitement of the night within her. She smiled to Francis' as Will lead her towards the bar where the woman stood. When Will was done with his greeting she stepped in to hug the other woman gingerly and plant a kiss on her cheek. "I'm sorry we're late!" She said earnestly, "I honestly hope we haven't missed all the fun but you know how they are." She gave Francis wink. "Like herding cats some times." She turned her attention to the woman behind the bar, one she knew only as Francis' manager. "White wine please, what ever the house suggests." She knew Francis' to have impeccable taste in all things.

Margaret had been delighted to see Francis' at work; she was a natural in her own environment. She set up another tray of drinks and called the waiter over to sever the table as Francis' approached. "We're good here," She said, taking a quick look around before smiling to her boss but soon shook her head. "No really, I'm fine. I've got this Frankie, really, don't worry about me!" Any of the nervousness she had felt at the beginning of the night was gone and replaced with her drive for perfection. She stepped aside at the Russell couple stepped up to the bar to greet Francis'; the two were infamous not only apart but together. She continued to serve guests until she was flagged down by Jacqueline, swiftly finding a glass and pouring out her request before glancing to William. "And for you, sir?"

She had certainly not missed the sight of her friend stepping into the club tonight; he was there more often than not and always a pleasure to talk to but she had wondered if he would honestly accept her invitation tonight. She knew it wasn't his style in any way but having him here was a comfort; she knew if she needed someone just to talk to for a few seconds she could do so with him.

Stephen paced outside the Alley Cat for several minutes as people were still filing in. He was surprised to see just how many of the rich and famous were in attendance he nearly lost his nerve. This was not the place for him, he was well outside of this depths and honestly felt he would embarrass Francis more than anything else. He was seconds from turning away, running home to hide when he stopped himself. He took a deep breath, closing his eyes and slowing his heart rate. He had never been this nervous before, not even when taking on bigger guys in the ring. He steeled himself and turned to face the door; the patrons were dwindling and looked almost as though the ushers were about to close the door. "Hold on there!" He called and jogged towards the doors, fishing his invitation out from his pocket to hand over. "Thanks buddy," He patted the man on the shoulder before stepping into the Alley Cat.

Francis' was a genius. Nothing more ever needed to be said. He knew he was watched her work herself endlessly for perfection and he could honestly say she achieved it. He may have had an inside scoop when she has spoken to him about ideas and things through the months of planning but even if she had drawn him a damned picture he would never have pictured anything like this. He grinned, shaking his head slowly as he stepped further into the club, he caught sight of the woman of the hour by the bar -where else would she be? - talking to her guests. He gave her a slight nod before heading to find a seat out of the way.

Evelyn was dreading the car ride over, especially if they had to go with the family into the limo. Luckily, Liam asked if it was alright to take Evelyn in his car, dodging a very intimidating bullet so to speak on the way over. She smiled softly with relief as Liam chuckled at her words she whispered into his ear. Glad to hear that her family hadn't scared him away yet. The young woman was aware of the...activities that her family participated in. She was far removed from such things, none of it really effecting her life as of yet. Tonight was the first event she would be going to that would involve both Morgan's and Russell's. She had been shocked her brother was even allowing her to go, but she knew this fundraiser must have been in neutral territory.

"Thank you." She murmured to Liam as he opened the car door for her. Slipping in, she looked at the car with appreciation and gave a low whistle as he made his way to the driver's side. "Love the wheels." She admired the car out loud, growing up with all brothers gave her a bit of an inside to some typical guy interests. Cars definitely being one of them. "And my family has style? huh? I've never heard it put that way before." The car ride was short and sweet and Evelyn was actually feeling a bit nervous.

Allison was relieved to hear that Harvey would do his best to keep the night going smoothly. The blonde's paranoia was getting in the way of her having a good time and when Harvey expressed that he wanted to see her having fun, she couldn't help but smile his way. "I shall do my best just for you darling." Another flirtatious wink his way was sent before he parted to get himself a drink. She turned to Ollie and took the drink happily. Taking a sip, she leaned in slightly so her brother could speak with her in a lower tone. Her mind wondered what he had been thinking about to have shaken him so...but she knew it could have been many things. A small frown formed on her lips, but as soon as the words fell from his lips, he was on to the next subject.

Allison made note to ask him later about this unpleasant memory but decided to drop the subject as it was changed to far more important matters. William Russell had arrived, and business would surely present itself in the form of pleasantries...it always did at these types of events. Allison wished she could go one evening without business talk, just to simply enjoy the night for what it was, but what was new? The blonde chuckled as Ollie scoffed a comment about their adopted brother, Dexter.

Allison loved her brother's very much and would do anything for either of them. But Oliver had always been closest. Most likely because they were blood related. She thought back to the days of their youth, things really didn't change. "Most things don't change dear Ollie, our brother's value of time was always an issue."Shaking her head slightly with a smile she continued, "Don't fret dearie, I'm sure Dex will be hear soon. I'm sure him and Mal just got caught up in something. I'm sure wrangling up all those kids isn't the easiest thing in the world to do."

Oliver slid empty his glass back towards the bar, knowing the bartender would refill it eventually. He glanced at Harvey, who was further down the bar waiting for his drink, then turned back to Allison. Smiling as she spoke of their childhood, he nodded. “God, things were much simpler then weren’t they? We weren’t aunts and uncles, we didn’t fight our wars... I wasn’t a cripple, and you weren’t a widow...” He knew he probably shouldn’t have said the last part, but his sister did need to reflect at times, as much as she wanted to bury that part of her inside.

Pausing for her to answer, he switched subjects just as quickly as he brought it up. “But I imagine you’re right, children do tend to add a extra few minutes. Expecially with his amount. I’m just glad he hasn’t left any of them fatherless...” Though the times have changed, being a bastard still sat heavily in Oliver’s conscious, never really have a father. His stepfather was pleasant enough, Allison knew, but as much as the two understood each other she could never relate on that part.

William Russell

Will's eyes met Oliver's and he returned a similar dip of his head as the Morgan had sent him. The two men clearly disliked and distrusted each other, but they were on neutral territory and they would need to put on their best acts to avoid any trouble. Will was sure they would speak over the course of the night, but for now he needed a drink to help put him in the spirit of the occasion. He wanted Jacky to enjoy herself this evening.

Margaret asked him what he was drinking and Will thought about his options before deciding to lay off the liquor for now. "I'll have a pint of Guinness, please," he asked, flashing a grateful smile to the woman. Once he had his beer, Will took a long drink from the glass and once again looked around the club, checking what his siblings were up to and seeing if any other familiar faces were present. He then focused his attention back on Jacky and placed his hand around her waist. "Are you good?" he asked her, making sure she was comfortable and that she was going to enjoy herself. He was grateful for his fiancee's presence as she was one of the few people he could be both relaxed and himself with. The Morgans were his rivals and his own siblings were at times unhappy with him for his attempts to protect them. Jacky knew him well and she knew how to brighten up his darker days.

Francis Boulavard
Francis was becoming over-whelmed by the sight of so many important people. This year's fundraiser was sure her biggest and most successful. There were more prominent people she needed to impress and network with so of course more invitations were sent out. You wouldn't be able to tell she was on the verge of having a panic attack, on account of her face. Her smile was on and it wasn't going away, no matter what happened. Seeing all of her friends and associates walk in put her more at ease, but when Stephen walked in is when she really calmed down. She had caught his eye and took a deep breath, giving him a smile. Having him there was actually very relieving.

When Margaret told her she was fine she gave her a grateful look. "Oh, remind me to kiss you later. You're the best!" She told her, though she would be back later to help her out in any way that she would be able to. "Don't push yourself too hard, please." She reminded her. It would be horrible to see the woman just as burnt out as Francis would be after this night. She then turned her attention to the Imogen as she hugged her and complimented her on her dress, then watched as she went to speak with a friend of hers. Francis was working double time when the Russell family walked in. She gave a quick hug to Jacqueline and kissed her cheek, after returning William's hug. "Oh trust me, love, I know. Men will never know the importance of time." She teased. "Don't worry, you're right on time." She then did a quick turn to Clementine. "Ms. Rosemary, your clothes are safe in the back do you want to see them?" Clementine shook her head, giving her a quick hug with a drink already in her hand. "I trust you dear. Go do what you do best and dazzle us." Francis gave her a smile and excused herself, quickly making her way to the front.

"If you will all take your seats, please." There were placards with everyone's names on them, the Morgan and Russell family, of course, placed in the front. All of her closest friends would sit within the same range as the Morgan's and Russell. "I would like to welcome you all to our 5th fundraiser. It's been a long time coming and I wouldn't have been able to do it without you." The people she said this to would know she meant them, hopefully. "The proceedings from tonight will go to the orphanage that is close to my heart. As most of you know, after my mother died," 'After you murdered her,' her subconscious said, "I lived there for a time. While the headmistress I had was an evil old witch," she joked, earning laughs from the audience, "I'm glad to say they've gotten a new one. So please, if the auctions aren't your cup of tea, donate to the orphanage instead." She waited for a minute, letting the applause die down before she spoke again. "For our first auction, the date auction. For all of you single men who just can't seem to land yourself a date, here's your opportunity to get one now."

After introducing the girls and auctioning them off, Francis would take note of the men. The rules were simple; the girls were not whores for the night and if they said no it meant no. She took out the note book she had and made a note of the men and the girls and reminded them of the rules. She then took to the stage once more to announce the intermission, letting them know of the catered buffet that was awaiting them on a long table. By this time in the night, she was dying.

Timothy Russell
When the rest of his family had gone in, Timothy did not. He stayed outside for a quick smoke, knowing Francis liked a clean, breathable atmosphere. The woman sure did have a lot of rules and people actually abided by them, proof she did have some sort of reputational hold on people. Timothy watched people going in, taking a drag of his cigarette. His head was still pounding and he was trying to get his bearings. When it failed, he stepped aside down the alley and did what he did best; got high. It numbed his headache and made him feel a little better. He stomped his cigarette and looked in the mirror of a stopped taxi to make sure he was still presentable before walking in to join his family at the bar.

Francis was giving hugs and kisses out to everyone and smiled when he got to her. "You look good, Frankie." She gave him a little kiss on the cheek and thanked him. He turned to Margaret and smiled at her. "Well look at you. Almost as busy as Francis, aren't you? Color me impressed." He told her before ordering a whiskey. Really he didn't need it, but he wasn't going to deny himself a drink. It'd be rude on his part.

When Francis told them it was time to take their seats he turned towards his family. "I think I'll keep Maggie company over here. Go on without me." He then took a seat and gave her a cheeky little smile.

Clementine Russell

"Thank you sweetheart." She told her daughter, acknowledging the compliments she was given. She was grateful when they finally left the house and made it to the Alley Cat on time. The place did look very nice, a lot brighter than what it usually was. The first thing she did was order more brandy. She watched the interaction with Francis and her family closely. Even though Clem liked Francis, she didn't fully trust her. To be quite honest, she didn't trust anyone other than her family. Jacqueline had just earned some of her trust, but not all of it. She did, however, trust her enough to handle her clothes from the last season. "Mmm. Those old things, don't worry about them. I trust you're fully capable of handling some dresses." That was quite possibly the only thing she would let her around.

When she was instructed to take her seat, she turned to Timothy. "Come on, you." He informed her that he'd be staying at the bar to keep Margaret, the bartender it seemed, company. Clementine narrowed her eyes at the girl, trying to size her up. Clem had never actually met the girl before, see her sure on the rare times she frequented the club. However she never said anything other than her drink order. Her gaze finally went to Timothy, giving him a stern look. "Please don't cause any trouble." When Timothy started to speak she put her hand up and closed her eyes. "No, I don't wanna hear it. No trouble, Timothy Russell." She didn't give him a chance to speak as she made her way to her table, easily finding her placard.

Jacky smiled and leaning into Will as he brought his attention back towards her. "Always when you're around." She said quietly, for his ears only. Francis was calling people to their tables and it was no surprise to find they were seated towards the front. She walked with Will to their table, smiling and waving hellos to those that acknowledged her. Once seated beside him she watched over him quietly taking a slow sip of her wine. "I guess the question really is: are you good?" She gently patted his knee. William made extreme efforts to keep her out of 'the business' which she appreciated but she could see just how draining it was on him from time to time. "Anything you need babe, just say the word it'll be done." She listened quietly as Francis presented her auction for the evening, the girls and the rules.

Margaret served William his Guinness and Clementine her brandy despite the older woman'd direct stare. She kept a pleasant smile on her face until it was clear she had passed what ever scrutiny Mama Rose was looking for. She sighed with relief as the older woman moved on to her table but gave Timothy chaste look. "She does not like me." Margaret said with a smirk and a laugh, turning away to get a tumble and pouring in two fingers of whiskey. She brought to where Timothy sat on the bar stool opposite her and set down a napkin on the wood finish before setting the glass on top of it. The crowd had dwindled as Francis took the stage giving her a small reprieve to speak to the man. "Now why on Earth would you want to be bothered with me?" She said with a flirtatious wink. "Are you sure there aren't any girls up there you want to bid on tonight?"

Stephen sat awkwardly at the table of strangers, some he recognized as either Morgan or Russell, others he assumed were Francis's friends or other socialite elites here to turn over their money for a good cause. He smiled as Francis took the stage and started her soiree. She had told him previously about her plans on how to remove money from the pockets of both the men and women attending: girls and clothing, but he was surprised to see just how many men were interested in former; he had higher hopes for his gender than what he witnessed. Needless to say Steve didn't bother bidding on anyone, despite this table mates jeering at being a single man out on the town. He understood it was all for a good cause but it could have been better had there been less lecherous comments from those nearest to him. He certainly would be happy when it was over and made a note to keep an eye on the women that were purchased tonight.

Imogen Isaac

Imogen smiled to Damian when he spoke to her about the show. "The show has been alright, but honestly, I'm just waiting until we start performing Oliver Twist again. It's much more fun to do," she admitted. "Regardless of the play, it's very rewarding and I wouldn't like to be doing anything else," she told him. "How about you? You're at college now... Remind me, what are you studying?" she curiously asked him. She felt a little guilty for being unsure of the answer.

Dottie came downstairs and Imogen looked to her little sister, taking in her pretty dress and make-up. "Oh Dottie, don't you just look adorable?" she asked, squeezing her cheeks. She saw her sister's irritation at what she deemed patronising and smirked. "I'm teasing, honey. You look hot. Just don't tell dad I said that, because I think he'd prefer it if his youngest daughter looked adorable. Just stay away from the boys tonight, Dottie. You should only be dating your schoolmates!"

********

ezgif-1-ce261b2987.gif When she finally got to the club with her family, Imogen politely greeted a few people who had recognised her from the show. No amount of classes and practice could prepare her for such attention, but she would never be rude to people who were being nice to her. When she strutted into the club, she was impressed with the work Francis had put into it. She figured the woman had had received enough attention by now and was exhausted from it all, so Imogen decided to leave Francis alone. Sighting Jacqueline, Imogen approached her. "Good evening, Jacqueline," she pleasantly greeted her. She leaned in and pretended to kiss the woman's cheek, instead kissing thin air. She then looked to Will and smiled. "And Mr Russell. Always a pleasure," she remarked, moving in and this time kissing his cheek for real. She knew their families were far from friends, but she liked to play things her own way. She liked to keep people on side for as long as it was useful to her. She stepped back and let out a sigh. "You two have a wonderful evening and maybe we'll speak again later. I must head back to my family," she said, pointing in the direction of the Morgan clan. She'd done her bit keeping up appearances, for her own sake and Jacqueline's. As far as anyone needed to know, the two women were the best of friends.

Imogen hadn't decided what she would be bidding on tonight. In all honestly, it didn't matter to her as she just wanted to donate to the cause in some way, whether she took home a new dress or a piece of antique junk. She walked with elegance to her family's table and took her seat as Francis started the proceedings.

Allison nodded along at her brother's words and laughed gently, taking a sip as he continued to talk, reminiscing on their time as youths. The blonde visibly flinched at mention of the word,'widow.' After changing her last name back to Morgan and trying everything she could to forget, the word left a terrible taste in her mouth. Normally, the woman would have snapped by now, said something that would be said like a pleasantry when really it was a promise of one's death but her brother was different. She could never hurt him and she knew that he meant well.

Instead she continued to nod silently for a moment, not wanting to answer her brother verbally at the moment. He took the hint and changed the subject just as quickly as it was brought up. A small frown was placed on her lips as Oliver mentioned he was glad Dex hadn't left any of the kids fatherless. Allison wished she could have been able to relate more with her older brother on such matters and yet all she could do was place a hand on his shoulder. She was about to speak when Francis signaled that the auction was about to begin. "Come on dear, let's go have us a sit. Perhaps you might just find a date tonight dear brother." Allison gave a teasing smile, hinting that she might be up to something, but knowing she would never follow through. She waved her hand to both Harvey and Ollie and led the way towards their table for the evening.

As each woman was shown, she had been ever so tempted to bid on one for Ollie. But she knew he would be furious with her if she did such a thing, no matter the thought behind it all. So she just watched the rest of the men bid around her and sat quietly to herself. Though Imogen was always a delight to see and Allison smiled to her beautiful niece fondly. "Hello darling, long time no see! These women don't have anything on you." She commented on her niece's gorgeous appearance as she took another drink from her glass, it now running empty.

Oliver loosened as his sister placed a kind hand on his shoulder, a gesture that always comforted him every since childhood. But just as she was fixing to speak, Francis’s voices echoed through the establishment, telling everyone to be seated. Rolling his eyes at his sisters comment, he retorted as he limped behind her. “I’m not a fan of woman who sell them self, even though Francis assures that these are not in fact whores... Don’t you dare Allison Morgan, you know better.” He playfully chastised as he took his seat besides his sister, Harvey on the other side of her.

Laying his cane in his lap, both for the convenience of others as well as quick access if need be. Dipping his head to his niece, he decided to let Allison take the reins of the conversation between the Morgan woman. Which left him with Harvey and Desmond for the time being. Leaning behind his sister, he smirked as he spoke to his protégée. “As much as you like woman Harvey i’m surprised you haven’t thrown a stack at the stage yet? This event is defiantly your style.”

Desmond Forbes

Desmond had settled into a table at the back of the establishment. He drummed his fingers idly as Francis took center stage, announcing the auctions for the night and the cause for which the proceeds would be donated. In truth, he felt no small amount of solidarity with it. After Ian was killed overseas and he finally worked up the nerve (and money) to flee his father's alcohol-fueled oppression, he had ended up in a boarding school in Yorkshire, spending most of his adolescence there. It had been as much an orphanage for children who had lost their parents to the Blitz as it was a hall of education.

Des hadn't the funds for any kind of generous donation and participating in the auction was out of the question. His eyes drifted across the rows of seated men and women, coming to settle on the bar where "Mags" still worked dutifully as she always was when he visited. She was conversing with a man with obvious interest. He squinted, trying to make out the mystery suitor when he recognized him as one of the Russell brothers. Who Margaret chose to associate with -- especially on-duty -- was frankly none of his business. Despite his employer, he held no personal ill will toward the Russells. But... he owed the orphanage his patronage, no matter how small. And he was getting rather thirsty.

At least, that's what he told himself as he stood up from his chair and made his way out of the reception area and to the bar, taking a seat two spots to the right of Timothy. He gave Mags a smile and a nod as soon as her eyes fell on him. "The usual, miss," he requested politely. Maggie knew his drink -- gin & tonic on ice -- as much as he knew that she hated him referring to her with such formality... not that it stopped him.

"Don't worry about her." He reassured her, shaking his head. "My mother is very... Protective." He said the last part with his eyes closed and his head shaking a little. When he opened his eyes, he leaned across the bar, answering her question. "Oh, come on Mags. Those girls aren't anywhere near my type. They're too easy." He commented before taking a sip of his drink. Timothy then noticed another gentleman come up to the bar. The man looked familiar to him but to no fault of his own, he couldn't remember the name. He did know that he had some sort of ties with the Morgan's however. It would seem he had a knack for forgetting important people lately and he would have to check that out. But knowing him and his faulty memory, he'd probably forget! He nodded his head over to him then back at the auction. "Not your fancy, huh?" He would ask him and then finish his drink.

Dexter Morgan

Dexter's eyes scanned the buildings, as they passed in a haze. One could only truly appreciate this city after hours and Dexter was a strong advocate of such. He watched in amazements as the bright neon lights attracted the young thrill and adventure seekers. He envied the youth, for they had many accomplishments ahead of them. It only reminded him that he had already accomplished his goals. While he enjoyed the relaxed lifestyle, he wished there was more ahead of him. He looked to his right, to see his gorgeous wife sitting beside him. She didn't make retirement so bad.

As his men opened the doors to the fundraiser, he was immediately met with the friendly atmosphere of the event. He saw the familiar, friendly faces that never failed to brighten his day. He kept his hand on Mallory's back as he was engulfed by the sea of patrons. His eyes scanned the room, catching those of his business competitor, Hanna. He raised his hand in a seldom wave, before moving towards the bar. "How fitting," he said with a smile, looking to Allison and Oliver. He kissed Mallory on the cheek, before moving his hand off of her back. "Looks like this bar is in need of some rescuing." He smiled as he moved to his siblings. "Sorry i'm late," He said, resting his hand on Oliver's shoulder. "I hope you didn't think I was playing hooky. I'd never miss an occasion with family involved." He looked up to the bartender, raising his eyebrows. "Scotch," He said as he slid a couple of bills across the table, which the bartender happily received.

Darius Romano

black-boy-feelings-hair-Favim.com-2484663.jpg
The tires of the red 1958 BSA sliced through the murky puddles, scattered across the paved roads. Darius' leather jacket whipped behind him as he bobbed and weaved through traffic. He didn't usually drive this recklessly with such a precious bike, considering it was technically owned by the auto shop he worked at, but he hated keeping his mom waiting. He figured he gave her a enough heart burn, the least he could do was be on time. The flashing red lights snapped him back into reality. He peered into his side mirror, sighing as he read London Police Department, painted on the side of the cruiser. He pulled off of the busy road, closely trailed by the officer. He could see the tall officer step onto the pavement, off of the reflection of a nearby puddle. Darius kept his head forward, hearing the echoing footsteps approach. The adrenaline shot through his veins as he suddenly snapped the throttle back. The motorcycle's front wheel briefly shot off the ground, as the bike excelled forward. He could see the officer frantically running back to his flashing car in his side mirror. The cars surrounding him were merely perceived as blobs as he raced through traffic, his eyes not having enough time to make out any details. He quickly stuck his leg out and slide across the slippery road, cutting into a near alley. The suspension of the bike was pushed to it's limits as the tires bounced up the stairs of the elevated alley. Luckily, he recognized the side streets, following the road up to his house. He heard the distant sirens, unsure if it was the same officer, or was just the familiar sound of London.

His jacket was drenched with rain water, causing the black leather to darken even further. He pushed open the door to his small apartment, before slinging his book bag onto one of the chairs. "I'm home," he called out as he tossed his bike's keys on the key rack. He looked to the dinner prepared, feeling the guilt pressing against his ribs. He could only assume his mom had fallen asleep waiting for him. He moved toward her room, which was parallel to his. Darius quietly knocked on her door, allowing it to slowly push open. "Sorry i'm late, Mr. Robertson was holding everyone back after class," he said, sincerely.

Alena had woken up from her small nap when she heard the door open and then close from downstairs. Alena wasn't nervous at all, but she was always prepared if there were ever someone to come and cause her or her son harm. Alena isn't so much of the girl that she used to be, she has become a protecting rock that will shake up any room if you dare try her. But I guess that is what comes with the package of being a mother. Being a doctor had its perks, she had money of her own, a three bedroom apartment with two bathrooms, a full kitchen, living and dining room and not to mention a walk-in closet. Which are every girl dream to have a walk-in closet. "How was your day Darius?" She asked him. Alena had a secret compartment inside of her closet that was behind all of her dresses and inside was a gun, ammo, cash, important documents and two passports. Just because she is going low, doesn't mean she can't have some things to protect her just in case. Alena sat up in bed as she watched her door open slightly and a very familiar head pops out. Alena turned on the lights and saw Darius, who was drenched in rain. "Mr Robertson huh?" Alena said as suspicion grew in her eyes, but she didn't say anything, Darius was old enough for her to try and trust him more, even though his actions have been questioning. All she did was get out of bed and walk over to her vanity table that had a mirror attached to it and began to apply lipstick and light makeup. Alena still had the same trait that she carried with her till this day and that is she doesn't like to apply much makeup like most of the girls. She says that applying a lot of makeup will make your face look much older then it is when you have no makeup on.

Alena saw Darius's reflecting in her mirror and a soft smile crept on her face as she looked at her son. She really did wish that Angel was with her to see what a fine boy he made with Alena. Every time she looks at Darius, she sees a lot of Angel, his father inside of him. Alena shook her head slightly to get the thought of him out of her mind, she wasn't going to get emotional before the event. "I made you dinner Dare," she tells him. Alena has many nicknames for him, but the one that most sticks are the nickname 'Dare." Alena knew that he could possibly fool his friends and teachers but he could never fool her. Alena looked at Darius and saw how he was inhaling in and out rapidly which means that he was running from something or someone. Alena got up when she was done applying her light makeup and went over to Darius, "Lying doesn't quite suit you my dear, but get dried up. We are going to a fundraiser tonight," she tells him as she places a kiss on his wet cheek and walks away from him and to her closet where she disappeared in.

Harvey Woodward and Imogen Isaac

gtr-jpg.374905
Harvey headed to the table with Oliver and Allison, holding his drink safely in his hand. He took a seat to one side of Allison as the auction got underway. When Imogen arrived on the scene he greeted her and briefly asked how showbiz was treating her, to which she said things were great, as he expected her to. He knew she had a mind and mouth of her own, but still felt cautious for her. Some of the rich and popular men who tried to gain her attention were quite lecherous, so he was never comfortable seeing such men around his boss' daughter.

Imogen smiled warmly to Allison as her aunt complimented her. "Oh honey, you're too kind. Especially when you're walking around looking so beautiful tonight," she beamed. She briefly glanced to Harvey who was by her aunt's side. "I'm sure you've got guys all over you," she curiously remarked.

emma_stone_gangster_squad-jpg.375144
Harvey brought his attention back to Allison, the woman he thought was the most attractive around the table and quite possibly the club. He was about to speak to her when Oliver voiced his surprise that Harvey hadn't bid on any women. He smirked before raising his glass and taking a drink of scotch. "You have me all wrong, Oliver," he began, placing the glass down on the table. "I buy women drinks, dinner, nice gifts. I don't buy women," he clarified. "Don't need to," he remarked, looking to Allison and sending her a wink.

"Oh, how very honourable, Harvey," Imogen scoffed, following it up with a teasing grin. It was clear to her that the man only wanted to leave the club with one woman tonight - Allison. She took a sip from her cocktail and carefully set the glass down. "I was going to bid on a dress or something random tonight, but maybe I'll bid on a woman myself. Free her from the restraints of a male-dominated world and show her a good night out."

"Not all men are the same," Harvey was quick to remind the actress.
