So pretty much this is a crazy RP that is like a mass up of Star Trek, Firefly, War of the Worlds, and Mass Effect. If you enjoy "What ifs" about how humanity would be different right at this moment if aliens had contacted us then look no further. We have action and entertainment aplenty to answer those questions. Mankind has always gazed up at the stars and wished to know what lay beyond the vast expanse. But it turns out we weren’t ready to find out. First contact was a nightmare, they came out of nowhere. The Contact War. Whole armies of Tarrocits whose weapons and technology far out did our own. Humanity was forced together out of a need for survival. We needed each other now more than ever. Even that wasn’t enough, we were barely holding our own against the invaders until they came. The Altis, a race of watcher’s sworn to protect intelligent life. With their help we were finally able to turn the tide and drive back the invaders.
After the war the Altis took us under their wings. They had long watch our civilization grow and change, but now that we had caught the attention more hostile species the Altis could no longer just observe us. With their help we joined the galactic fold, they provided us with much needed guidance and protection. Because of their care we quickly flourished into a world capable of interstellar travel. Suddenly we were a force to be reckoned with in the galactic arena. Something not every species saw as a favorable outcome.
With such vast expanses ahead of us many left Earth in the first ships capable of space travel to find adventure. With Earth’s reach growing more every year who knows what awaits humanity? Some might say that space is the last frontier, if so then I guess we are all just a bunch of Big Damn Cowboys.
