Futuristic Galactic Empires

Mist Demon

A Broken Frame
[/sigmaterian Empire\]

The Sigmaterian Emperor sits upon his throne aboard his personal Warship, stationed above Xecron for the moment. He sits in the dark, the glow emitted by the Sigmaterian Energy Crystals being the only light within the room. Before him are hundreds of different monitors showing the expansion of the Sigmaterian Empire across the Universe.

He watches them closely, his gaze goes from monitor to monitor looking for anything that requires his personal attention. The monitors show galactic battles going on between massive Sigmaterian Warships against other various ships trying to protect their planets, as the Sigmaterian Warships charge up their main energy weapon that takes up the entire front of the Warship. It fires a beam of orange energy, ripping straight through the shields of the enemy ship and tearing the entire ship in half.

He watches as Sigmaterian strike teams in their full body armor open wormholes into what remains of the ship. Assimilating survivors into the empire as D-class personal and exterminating those that resist by tearing large holes through their bodies with their energy beam rifles. The Sigmaterian Warship and strike teams then move onto the planet, destroying what they must until their is little to no major resistance left and assimilation can begin.

"I want the energy spheres revamped, slightly anyway. If we reduce the size, it'll be easier to integrate it into more of our systems. The power output that the spheres create is fine, at the moment, anyway. I admit, I don't like the fact that some of our more... er, militaristic leaders wish to use those energy cores as weaponry. I'm going to see if I can configure any fail-safe protocols into the energy spheres just in case something like that would happen. Dismissed," Jason said, an air of slight unease around him. The scientist with him during this meeting each moved from the chamber, leaving Jason to muse over the chance that a few renegade soldiers might try to procure a few spheres for testing.

He had to trust his people and all, being the Emperor, but he couldn't help if doubts slipped into his mind every once in a while. Going through with the fail-safes for his people's energy sources seemed like a good idea, at least, then it did. Jason grabbed a slip of paper off the ground, looking at the current schematics for the spheres. Before adding any sort of extra security system to the device, he wanted it slimmed down. Though the current design was already quite up to date, it was rather heavy, and sometimes, its bulk made it take a longer time to integrate into certain systems. The integration difficulty wasn't constant, but still, it was something...

Setting the paper to the side, Jason headed to his computer system. He had work to do...

The Senate watched over the charts over statistics on the TRTS Economy, Population, and various other things. Soon enough it would be harvest day, when the Tibetioun fruit on Elysium will be harvested, and eaten at the festivals held. The fruit is known for being nutritional and sweet, therefore it was a religious item for many ancient Morphites.

The problem was that illegal trade of it was rampant, and it wouldn't suffice to have such a low number of Tibetiouns. The Senate decided to hire a mercenary to prevent a large shipment of the fruit from reaching it's destination, Mars. This mercenary was a famous one amongst the TRTS and surrounding nations.

Kira. A Morphite, however he was currently on a mission, and their offer was on hold. The Senate tapped their fingers and waited, decided to moving on by discussing their relationship with a pre-enlightened race, (a race that hasn't acheived Space Travel or advanced Mathematics and Technology). The race's technology isn't that impressive, however their physical attributes and their current Utopian Republican society makes them extremely interesting and intriguing. The Senate decided that further contact and relationships had to be made.

[/KIRA\]

Kira lined up Executioner, setting his scope on the CEO's head. His hand shifted towards a button and he clicked it once, keeping the button locked deeper within the rifle, activating and shifting into BulletTrack mode. He took a breath, and then held it, sliding his finger gently unto the trigger. Kira pulled with all of his might, and the bullet flew faster then any sentient being nearby could see, the sound wouldn't come until the target was hit.

The round hurtled through the CEO's skull, and his body hit the ground. At the same time, Kira began running backward, and the sound of the shot had begun to erupt.

BANG.

Screams were sounded, people fled, the security guards and lower-ranking businessmen in the room with the CEO rushed to aid the man, but it was too late. His brain was basically mashed, his skull perfectly broken, and life was lost the moment the bullet had barely entered the man's brain. The body had flew down against the ground with much force, and it's left arm was broken quickly, along with a few cracked ribs and a broken spine.

Guards began rushing to find the shooter, police were called, and Kira was already making his way unto the streets.

In the control room of the Sigmaterian Emperor's personal Warship, a figure steps out from behind the throne and walks around to the side of it. The glow emitted from the Sigmaterian Energy Crystals slightly illuminates the figure, but still it's face is covered by the shadows. Before speaking it performs the Sigmaterian salute, closing it's right hand into a fist and touching it to it's left shoulder with it's left arm behind it's torso.

"Emperor, I believe you know what I've come to ask."

"I'm well aware, but go ahead and ask anyways"

"For so long has our empire expanded without trouble, without need of our intervention. Myself as well as the others grow bored of waiting. Even you Emperor must grow bored sitting here on your throne watching all these monitors looking for something worthy of dealing with."

"Agreed, my personal fleet will leave immediately and you can accompany me to help the expansion of the empire. As for the other twelve, they can feel free to do the same. It's time for me to once more step out of the shadows and lead Sigma into battle."

With that Zabuza stood up, out of his throne and the figure stepped out of the shadows beside him. The glow now fully illuminated both of them, showing both of their crimson red eyes. The Sigmaterian Emperor began to give orders to the rest of the crew in the control room, as a wormhole opens up in front of the Emperor's Personal Warship engulfing it to the front lines of the Sigmaterian expansion.

"Deltron, you there?" Jason asked, pressing a device he was carrying. He had gone into a rather large, circular room with several monitors placed on the walls. There was a desk in the room's center, surrounded by several chairs. Each monitor came on the moment Jason spoke, filled with a metallic looking face with bright, eerily blue eyes. Jason hastily took a seat.

"Of course, Emperor. How may I be of service to you?" Deltron asked. For an A.I, his voice sounded rather organic, with a slight mechanical edge to it. Deltron sounded ever-so-slightly wistful, as though he'd been longing to be called into service once more. If Jason took any notice of this, he didn't show it.

"Yes... I'm sending your system to monitor an empire that I've located somewhere within a different galaxy. Sigma, is it called? They could potentially be allies... or threats, who knows. I want constant updates from you during your observations." Jason placed coordinates onto the table, for Deltron to scan.

"Interesting... I will be swift, Emperor." Jason stood, looking satisfied. Deltron took this as his dismissal, and each of the monitors flickered off...

Kira dodged the incoming bullets from behind and parkoured through the twists and turns of alleys, all while dodging the homeless in his way. Bullets sprayed nearer and nearer, however Kira managed to burst out unto the street, only to find himself surrounded on the left and right. Before he could stop himself, Kira kept running forward, taking a shot or two as the lines of police fired at the blurred Morphite.

Morph... Morph.....

The cops, a group of ten, turned multiple corners, following the wet footprints of the assassin. A left turn, a right, two lefts. It was getting more eerie as they made their way down the long alleyway. Finally, a right...

BLAM!

Whoever was leading got thrown against the left wall, denting the durasteel. His body fell limp as it slid unto the ground, entering into convulsions. A large figure turned to face them, it was at least twelve feet tall, and had a wide grin on it's face. It looked like an insectoid kind of creature, and it had at least two arms, four legs, however four more arms grew out of it's sides. The thing rushed the remaining guards quickly, tearing through them as it's exoskeleton easily took their shots.

Nice job, Kira, Kira thought as he sliced through the wailing police, blood spraying through the air around him. The alleyway was no longer dark, but glowing with the stray shots of discouraged police.

The Sigmaterian Emperor's personal warship exited the wormhole, revealing a galaxy with eight planets and one star. Above two of the planets several Sigmaterian warships could be seen, meaning those two planets must of contained life. Zabuza contacted the officer in charge of this fleet, his face appearing on a screen in front of the Emperor.

"How goes the unification of these planets and the assimilation of the sapient life upon them?"

"Emperor!" the officer immediately salutes, clearly surprised at his presence. "Both were pre-galactic empires with human like life that were just beginning to attempt space travel and communicate with each other. We've already wiped out most military forces upon both planets, now we've just got hundreds of strike teams slowly tracking down all remaining life on the planet and assimilating them. It's low risk sir, their firearms were not enough to pierce the full body Sigmaterian armor."

"I see, now where is the rest of your fleet? And why were you requesting assistance for such a low risk assimilation?"

"The problem Emperor is that our scanners have picked up several scouts from another galactic empire watching us from the edge of the galaxy as we assimilate these planets. We believe their Empire to more than likely be the next galaxy over, and that they'll more than likely attempt to attack. The majority of my fleet are patrolling this galaxy waiting for their attack."

With that formalities were exchanged as the communication was ended, the Sigmaterian Emperor's personal warship now waited eagerly for the supposed attack. Zabuza eagerly ready to please his blood lust after suppressing it for so long.

GSE

"Your grace, I would like to congratulate on your success so far, for your short time in office."

Shala just sat in her chair, continuing to watch the military parade go through the courtyard of her palace. "There is still much to do."

"Such as?" Her advisor asked. Shala just simply shook her head. "Now is not the time. I came to watch this demonstration, not speak of politics."

"Yes, your grace." Her advisor said, bowing before leaving off. Then the advisor left.

Shala was alone for a few more moments before Hawke and Brutus entered. Brutus said not a single word, and instead sat in a chair next to Shala. He simply nodded his head to her, and she nodded back.

Hawk on the other hand leaned up against the wall, and crossed his arms.

Shala's eyes traveled to Hawke. "Something on your mind Hawke?"

"No." Hawke replied.

"Then take a seat and watch the demonstration."

Hawke scoffed for a second. "What is there to demonstrate? I've seen our military in action, there is no need for demonstration."

Brutus glared toward Hawke for just a few brief seconds before looking back. Now the soldiers, Gradiens, Wardens, and Peraki were all in lines marching, flags waving, religious songs being sang by the children's choir, all assembled on the sides, dressed in religious garments. Of course the children were made up of only Gradiens and Peraki, Wardens were never made as children. Warden children were possible, but their numbers were minuscule due to the long periods of service the Wardens willingly take.

Brutus sighed, then spoke. "If one seeks to lead, then one must also be humble."

"So it speaks? And it knowns verses from the Scrolls of Shira!" Hawke sarcastically said.

Brutus grunted. "Your ignorance is your greatest weakness, Hawke."

"Quiet you rept-"

"By Shira's will, both of you shut up! This is my escape from politics, and other escapades of my leadership. It lasts only a few brief hours and I will not have them ruined by you!" Shala yelled at them. "Hawke, take a seat now and be quite or I'll throw you back in the test tube that you came from."

Hawke unwillingly sat down, and leaned onto his right hand, pinning it against the arm holders of the chair.

Shala sat straight up, and smiled and waved down to the people who could see her sitting visibly on her balcony. The soldiers in the demonstration stopped marching, and all stood in a formation. The flags waved in rhythm, and a beautiful display of flags of various colors were shown. Then, from atop the sky the cloud cleared, no rain fell on them, and through the gaping hole in the sky the sun shined through, and from above squadrons of planes flew above, then the singing intensified, as did the display of flags. From above the sky, spacehips of various shapes and sizes flew full speed above, leaving a beautiful luminescent trail behind them. The soldiers all raised their guns into the air and fired at once.

Shala smiled. A beautiful display. She even looked over to see that Hawke was even taken in by it. Brutus just kept his same usual face, but she could tell he was impressed as well.

Shala then sighed. "I sopposed I have to head back to the control room after this?"

Brutus nodded.

"Hm. Maybe one day Shira will grant me a break from these politics for just a day."

The formations, the dances, and everything then froze. The space ships had all flown over by now. Slowly, Shala raised herself out of her seat, and slowly raised her arms out wide. All eyes were locked on her. She began preaching to them in Gradian. No one spoke, not even the smallest child. It was as if the entire area were dead, as if something came and swiped everyone up, and just silence followed. Shala could be heard for miles due to crystals amplifying her voice, and her preachings went across to the entire GSE systems. The entire GSE was silent, all work was stopped to listen to it, remarkable. Simply remarkable. If an outsider were to see this, they would be in awe.

It was truly a sight to marvel at.

[/Deltron\]

Surprisingly, the fleets that Deltron had been supplied with did not make a move against the Sigmaterians. As Jason had stated, the A.I was only to observe, and as such, he obeyed his orders. All the while, his fleets did not come too close to the Sigmaterian ships, in case they proved to be hostile. Deltron carefully recorded the activity being overseen, simultaneously sending data reports back to Xemorian databases.

(First short post, hooray)

[\U.G.F/]

The entire control room of the U.G.F military Head Quarters was filled with chatter from the service men and women manning their glass screens, and people running around. At the very top floor of the underground command centre, a man in a suit was watching the main screen and the people running around. Behind him, there was a long rectangular table with generals seated on the seats. There were other video feeds and graphs being shown on the glass and on the table. The video showed the sigmaterian fleet and the xemoria fleets that were observing them.

"Our people are watching." One of the generals spoke up. "How do you want us to act?"

The man paced around the room with his arms crossed.

"I want the 4th tactical fleet and the 15th escort fleets to be deployed to that part of the border. The two nations are very far away from ours but that does not mean that they could try and infiltrate. Do not, engage. Fire warning shots. Unless either one of those ships enters our territory or refuses to listen to our warnings and fires at us, you are allowed to retaliate." He looked around the room again. "Do I make myself clear?"

"We have been neutral for a very long time. And as the head of this nation's defenses, I will not have a conflict in our hands. Take every step in order to keep these two civilizations out of our borders. If push comes to shove, we will activate order 101."

The Generals stood up and saluted as they collected their things and began exiting the room.

"What are you planning?" The man wearing the suit asked looking at the live video feed from the outer defense platform.

"For now there seems to be two different types of ships that both seem to only be observing, no signs of hostility from either. It's time to give them both the Sigmaterian greeting, charge up the fleet's primary weapons. As well, prepare to force communications with all their ship."

The front of each of the Sigmaterian Warships begins to grow bright orange as each of their primary weapons charge up. Communications are forcibly opened with each other ship. The Sigmaterian Emperor himself prepares to address them.

"This galaxy is being unified under the Sigmaterian Empire, making it restricted space to all Non-Sigmaterians. Leave now or our fleets will open fire decimating your ships."

[/Chi Chi\]

Chi Chi sighed as she spun around in her chair, rather bored. She had been floating in space for a couple of days, chased off by some Sigmaterian bounty hunter. Not to mention a gang of Morphites, now that was a dangerous bunch to wrangle with. How was she supposed to know that the two were in the middle of a drug transaction? It wasn't her fault that she liked to wander in alleyways, searching for something to do.

Set on a random flight pattern, her eyes bulged as she spotted large masses of ships. Oh shit, she thought, have I run into a war zone?

The galactic sign of "I'm just a bystander", the yellow flashing signal, was active now on Chi Chi's ship. She was closest to the U.G.F's fleet, the closest ship being about 30 meters away. Chi Chi wondered what was going to happen, she knew she should probably leave, but couldn't help to watch it, it was in Aquilari nature, after all.

"Get the M.A Guns ready on the defense platforms."

"Contact captain Langia and tell him to move the D.F.S Lukanos, and her escort ships to the eastern sectors. And get Captain Bly to move his 2nd strike team to the western sector." A man wearing a white commander's uniform said to the operators on the bridge as he was looking out of the window of the battle cruiser.

"Yes Admiral."

The live video feed showed the sigmaterian ships bow section beginning to glow a bright orange.

"Get our railguns, magnetic acceleration gun, and tungsten launchers ready. Tell the other ships to ready their weapons as well."

One of the communications officers turned around to face the admiral. He took his headsets off and looked at him. "Even the neutron fission guns sir?"

The admiral did not look back but kept his eyes on the glass screen that was in front of him. "Yes."

"Get me a com-link to the ships that are charging their weapons."

"Yes sir." One of the communications officers said. After a few minutes of typing, the communications officer looked up at the admiral and nodded.

"Attention. Unidentified vessels. This is Admiral Davie Haggert of the D.F.S Lokrina. The flagship of the U.G.F's 4th tactical fleet. You are about to commence battle close to the soverign territorial border of the United Galactic Federation. A neutral nation that wants no business in your conflict. Turn away now or we will exercise our nation's right to defend itself."

"Focus." Her dad said as he dusted off her uniform and put his hands on to her shoulders.

"We want to make a good first impression. And that means no questions young lady." Kiria's father pointed out.

"You haven't even told me about what's going on." Kiria said to her father.

"You'll see." Her father said as the automatic doors opened into a room.

[\U.G.F/]

"Sir. Another warship has just arrived." One of the operators said.

"Sir. What should we do about the bystander?"

"Keep an eye on that newly arrived ship. Contact the other ship and tell it to get out of here."

The operator nodded.

"Attention bystander vessel. You are illegally passing through U.G.F territory. Please turn away." The operator said.

Zugarg stood in the bridge of his flagship, the C.M.N. Pzarii. He watched, as 14 other vessels, regular dreadnoughts, came out of hyper speed along side him. The journey had taken several weeks, even though a light-speed or warp-capable vessel would've taken much faster. That was one of the drawbacks of having such large ships. However, this didn't stop them in battle. Zugarg was answering the threat of an overly ambitious human pirate lord, living in a asteroid field. The Ceratopian ships were unable to enter the asteroid field, but their weapons were. "Fire the first wave of Quantum Vixen Missles," he ordered, as his second in command nodded, and gave the command. The bulky Ceratopians looked quite stupid, standing in the bridge, using their large scaly fingers to hit all the required buttons on their holoconsoles. However, the corresponding horde of missles that erupted from the fleet around a minute later, did not look stupid. These missles were convential high explosives, packing the bunch of a Ballistic missle. And there were 500 of them. Many of the missles hit asteroids and exploded, but their high-tech targetting and guidance computers, aswell as the men manning them, got around 80% through. The mini-cameras on the missles spotted the pirate base, built on and inside several lonely asteroids in the center of the field. The pirates noticed the missles incoming, and opened fire with perimieter defense weapons, knocking 40 out. However, 360 missles reached their targets, exploding all over the minorly shielded pirate base. The first missles blasted apart the shield, the rest swarming in, wiping the pirate base off the interstellar map. The Ceratopian fleet proceeded to turn, awaiting the returning pirates.

Zugarg knew the pirates had just left their base, as his closest planet reported seeing them chase a decoy "trade fleet". The merchant vessels were gaurded by 30 dreadnoughts, little did the pirates know. When the pirates warped in, they faced a wall of laser fire. They lost a large part of their force, before turning around and retreating. Where they expected to find refuge back at base, they faced another wall of laser fire. This time, there was no where to run, as the rest of the Ceratopians appeared, around an hour later. The pirates were squashed.

Zugarg took note of his losses, minor damage to some of his vessels, and around 400 casualties. Out of his combined fleet of 45 vessels, this was a verrry small loss. Zugarg approached his command console, opening up the interstellar map. He changed it to political mode, examining the nearby empires. He noticed the Sigmaterian Empire had continued to grow, moving closer to the UGF. This would cause conflict, and Ceratopians lived off conflict. Zugarg decided he would attempt negotations with the UGF, and offer his assistance.

He opened up his holocomms, and said, "Norian Maverik". The comms reached out, contacting the president of the UGF.

[\Kiria/]

The president of the U.G.F had received the comms.

Kiria had pressed a button on the table and a screen popped up of Zugarg. And on the bottom right hand corner, there was a live video feed of the border.

"It's a pleasure meeting you. King Zugarg Guuglamesh."

"I must say. This is a very unusual time to have diplomatic talks with another country's leader."

"A pleasure to meet you too," Zugarg said with a customary bow, as he greting the U.G.F president. "Indeed it is, but our universe is full of strange times. I offer to the United Galactic Federation trade, and a millitary alliance." he stated simply.

He heard heard that that Sigmaterians had incredibly advanced technology, and if his people participated in this war, they may be able to loot some. So, this possible war coming could greatly benefit the Ceratopians.

[\U.G.F/]

"I appreciate your offer. Your Highness." Norian said. "But you must also know, that the U.G.F, although we are a neutral nation. We have the technology and the man power to fight. But as it seems now. If this sigma empire does not comply with our demands. We must act to defend our nation."

"I will be needing some time to think."

"I will repeat once more. You are entering U.G.F territory. Change your course immediately. This is your final warning."

"Order all the ships to activate their shields." The admiral said.

"Wen I tell you. You will give the order to fire the railguns." The admiral said to one of the communications officers.

[/John Abraus/Primary Collective\]

"We are a peaceful people, but your primitive species will not destroy us. You know why we are 'collective?' We hacked almost every ship in the galaxy. Including yours." Out of nowhere, a planet sized starship appears. Four moon sized ships warp later, and an array of ships, including U.G.F. Ships. "These people have joined us in the conflict for immortality, and we tell you one more time. We. Come. In. Peace."

Zugarg nods. "I shall await your decision." Zugarg stated, turning off the holocomm. He turned, activating his personal comms. He contacted his fleet admirals, ordering them to mobilize, and prepare themselves. The Ceratopians have 75 dreadnoughts in total, most of which were with Zugarg at the moment, but he wanted the entire fleet ready, just incase the UGF accepted their offer.
