Futuristic Futuristic Trench Warfare Thing!

So, it's exactly how it sounds. Trench warfare, but with more advanced weapons like mechs and literal flying fortresses and battle ships that makes ours look like a dinge with cannons on the front. The planet is divided in two, with a third section being no man's land. Oh, and this is also being co-gmed by my lovely assistant @Yonsisac.

I was wanting everyone to be on the ground and in the trenches. On the bright side, you get a war suit, like those in Star Craft 2. And you're part of a hybrid squad, so you also get a mech of your choosing.

Yep. But trench warfare means both sides have pretty powerful defenses. Big suit of armor isn't much to an even bigger gun.

AA guns and fighters etc. etc. Trench warfare. No one get's anywhere quickly and without a lot of casualties.

Again, sorry, no flying fortresses for us. I'd thought being in the trenches, being constantly shot at, and an artillery barrage by boats, flying fortress, or something else in the offering daily would be more exciting then sitting pretty up in the air.

trust me air fortresses arn't normally sitting preety just one attack while there defences are down and thay can go down faster then anything but i don't mind being in the trenches

@drummerboi you may not be able to pilot a flying fortress. But perhaps you would like to have a mech with a very large gun?

Not really. You'll all be the same rank, fresh out of training. The only one that has a higher rank will be me when I decide to pester you all and make you risk your life for something.

So, this is going to be like WW1 trench warfare but with more giant robots, death lasers and gruff dudes in giant metal suits? If so, I'm interested. I got a few quesrions though.


What kind of RP will this be? (Detailed, Casual,..., you know the drill), and will the squad roles be more similar to modern day warfare? (Heavy Gunner, Marksman, Corpsman,...)

Casual, and more modern day with small bit of futuristic involved, mech pilot, walker crewman, etc. And no lasers, for some reason I don't like them. The dakada dakada of ballistics is just so much better in my opinion then zaps and pews.


 
Oh, and there will hopefully be some women as well to join those gruff men. Don't want it to be a total sausage fest.


 
Can I get a quick head count on people and their wished for roles?
