Thankfully it wasn’t a long ride for her, especially since she was going by boat. Freydis didn’t mind spending a few days out on the ocean. The only issue was those were days she wasn’t at the main house and making sure things didn’t fall apart. She had left Ellika kind of in charge. She trusted the girl to not do anything stupid and keep things running for the most part. Her second in command was with her, as this was an important meeting. Freydis needed all the help she could get to survive this thing.

She arrived at the hotel where they would meet in London a few days before the others. But she had prepared ahead and everything was booked and ready for their arrival. While her family didn’t live lavishly, they were wealthy and able to rent out a room at a top end hotel for several days at full price without batting an eye. Freydis had even sent some funds to the smallest family to assist with plane tickets. That was mostly because of her second in command nagging at her about it.

She settled in as best she could. The air was more polluted than back home, but the air had a similar chill which helped her feel less out of place. Not one to sit around and do nothing, she made sure everything was set for when the other families arrived, including a conference room where they could speak privately.

Adrian fiddled with his phone for a moment. After a few taps, he had ordered a taxi to come to his exact location. His assistant stood next to him, far less imposing than the Adrian. A car pulled up next to them in less than two minutes, and the Doukas head was on his way to the hotel.
“Adrian, I just received a mail from Ricardo. They want to make a booking.” The assistant, a small woman with her dark hair neatly tied in a bun, showed her tablet to the lanky man. Adrian took the tablet to glance over the email in question.
“Forward that to Marcos. Make sure Kylie is in there as well.” Adrian resumed staring out the window. It was before most cities had rush hour, but traffic was still far less than ideal.

They reached the hotel without much delay. A porter took their bags and the two were lead to the reception. Adrian looked around with a smirk. It was a flashy hotel with its decadent décor and polished surfaces. Of course, it had to be. Certain people would never settle for less.
“Adiran Doukas to check in.” The receptionist tapped on her keyboard, then retrieved two keys from the wall behind her. She handed them to him as well as a letter.

“A lady asked for the letter to be given to you when you arrive. Have a pleasant stay, Sir.” Adrian raised a brow, but didn’t comment. Instead he looked at the letter. It was sealed with wax. He didn’t even need to look at its contents to know who it was from.
“We’ll be paying a visit to the Nordic barbarians later this evening. The others are probably only getting here tomorrow.”

Hayashi

Izumi looked around the arrivals area for a sign. Not long after, she saw a brightly coloured piece of paper held up high with her name written out on it. It was also covered in stickers and sparkles. The woman chuckled and made her way to the person carrying the sign.
“Aunty Izumi!” Two young children came running up to her and almost barrelled her over. The woman laughed and greeted the children, patting their heads.
“Look at you two, so tall now!” She then looked to the woman who had been holding the sign. “It’s good to see you again, sister.” The two hugged before herding the kids towards the exit.

Izumi looked at the world outside the car with interest. She felt quite out of her element. While her English was decent, some people still had difficulty understanding her accent.
“Thank you for fetching me. Sorry I can’t stay longer.” Izumi gave her sister a sad smile.
“It’s alright. Family business is tough. You’re really strong for keeping everything going like you are.” Izumi grinned wide at the compliment.

Not too much later, she made her way inside the hotel. She had difficulty stopping herself from gawking at the interior of the place. She had gone to Tokyo a few times to meet with the Sohmas, but the places she stayed were nowhere near as fancy as this. She was grateful the more wealthy families were helping her out.

After a long flight and what seemed like an eternal car ride, Narek eventually reached the hotel where the families had agreed to meet up. He was ushered to the reception to check in and overheard a woman next to him doing the same. Hayashi? That was one of the families.
“Izumi Hayashi?” He asked, turning to the smaller woman. The woman looked up at him with confusion, followed by a wide grin.
“You must be Narek! It’s nice to finally meet you in person.” She was distracted by the receptionist giving her a key. She gave her farewell and a wave before she left to her room. Narek was then left to check in.
“Has anyone by the name of Aldis gotten here already? They said they were setting everything up.” He asked as he received his key. The receptionist looked at her computer for a few moments.
“Yes, Miss Aldis has reserved conference room 3 for tomorrow. Would you like me to page her room?”[/COLOR] The receptionist asked.
“No, that’s alright thank you.” He gave a smile and headed his own way. This was something that he would only experience once in his lifetime. He might as well enjoy what his stay allowed before getting bogged down with family business.

Tahan

He refused to fly on a commercial plane. First class was for commoners with a little extra cash. Hetepi didn’t care that his private jet was in for repairs and that would put him back a few days. The others would just have to wait. He was having to leave his lovely home behind to stay at some hotel. Sure, it was five stars, but that meant little. So he would wait until his jet was ready, and they would have to wait until he was ready.

Hetepi ended up arriving a day late. The rest of the families had to extend their stay and Freydis had to book the conference room again. Even without Hetepi there, they went through the general introductions and spoke about their families. Once Hetepi was there, he was quickly insulted at how no one bothered to introduce themselves properly. His advisors had to try calm him down discreetly and with marginal success. They ended up ordering food. Once that had arrived, the Tahan family head calmed down enough to actually participate in the conversation and not glare daggers at everyone. The advisors sighed internally.

The Story Begins
Freydis looked at the group before letting out a sigh under her breath. She stood to address them.
“Now that we’re finally all here, we can begin.” She made a pointed statement at which Adrian smirked at. “We have received rather unpleasant news from some of our members who stay outside the main house. However, it does not only affect my family. I spoke with Adrian before and it seems he’s heard similar news.” She moved to the head of the table to pick up a few notes.

She slid a piece of paper to the centre of the table, where the other heads could see it. It was a screenshot of a group chat.
“One of my members sent me this. We don’t know where this person lives as it was an open group. As you can see, this person is adamant he saw someone turn into an animal.” Izumi picked up the piece of paper, a frown marring her usually happy face.
“Do you know which family he saw? We can then at least narrow down his location.” She suggested.
Freydis shook her head. “The best we got is “dog thing.” Which, I’m sure you know, all our families have something of that nature. Even the Sohmas. It doesn’t narrow it down at all.”

There was a tense silence. Narek was tempted to try crack a joke, but doubted it would go down well in the current company. He closed his mouth.
“Well, which one of you have been slacking? If someone saw your members transform, you should have wiped their memories.” Hetepi commented, seated with his feet up on the table. He munched on some of the snacks his advisors had ordered.

Adrian sat up straighter, hands folded under his chin. “As the one who cares least about his family’s wellbeing, I think you should be the last to say anything. We have all been making sure that just that has been done. I believe that someone else saw a transformation and was hidden from the family member that transformed. As such, they were unknown to have seen anything and then left with their memories.”

The family heads went back and forth for a while, offering ideas and solutions. After a few hours, they were no further than when they started, only more irritable.
“Alright. We have no leads as to who this person is or where they are or what they are planning. But we do know they are eager to prove themselves right. I believe we each work on this back at our homes where we have easy access to our resources. Any information should be shared with the other families. Until we find this man, I suggest we send our younger cursed members away from the main houses.” Freydis eventually stated. Izumi looked more than worried.
“How can we protect them it if they’re not with us?”
“Izumi,” Adrian pitched in. “You forget that our families haven’t changed locations since their creation. If they stay in the main houses, they are at a greater risk than elsewhere where our names aren’t as attached.” The Japanese woman seemed hesitant, but accepted Adrian’s explanation.
“Where will we send them? If none of the main houses are safe, then where can so many young cursed be housed?” Narek asked. Adrian looked to Freydis who was deep in thought.
“I would suggest somewhere in England. It’s far enough away that it won’t be immediately suspected, but close enough that myself or Adrian can help in case of emergency. Hetepi is also nearby. I will assist with plane ticket costs for you and Izumi if we are all agreed.” She looked around the table. The family heads all seemed somewhat hesitant, but eventually nodded. Freydis nodded as well.
“Let us return to our families and let them know. They’re going on a little holiday.” She gave a smile but her eyes were sad.

Ellika greeted Freydis with a wide smile. “Welcome back, Freydis! How was your trip?” Freydis looked to the woman with an odd expression. Ellika couldn’t place what it was.
“It was... informative. Ellika, can you please bring all the younger cursed members to my office. But not the children, they’re too young. From about... 16 or so.” She commanded before waving and heading into the main building.
“Of course Freydis!” Ellika began jogging in the direction of the last cursed member she had seen. She managed to locate the crow twins. She relayed her instructions to them, asking them to go to Freydis’ office. Shortly after, she found the deer and she walked back with him.

Once they were gathered, Freydis looked at them with a blank expression. She sighed and rubbed her temples.
“I have some news for you all. You will be sent to stay in England for a while along with the other cursed families.” The family head explained, straight to the point. Ellika was shocked, to say the least. She was quick to speak up.
“Freydis, can we at least know why were are being shipped off to a different country?” She had no intention to go against Freydis, but she wasn’t happy about it. The family head let her façade drop. She was clearly upset about the whole thing.
“We believe you are at danger if you are to stay in the main houses. There is someone who is adamant to reveal our curse’s secret and we don’t know what lengths they would go to, to do so. I do not want to send you away, but for now it’s the only course of action we can think of to keep you safe.”
“What about the others?” Ellika was confused and, quite frankly, hurt.
“I need the adults here to assist with finding this person, and the children are too young to be separated from their parents. Please, Ellika. Don’t make this more difficult than it is already. You will be leaving in a week. Make sure your things are packed and say your goodbyes. We hope you won’t be gone too long.” With that, Freydis waved the teens out.

Adrian’s assistant was sent to work as soon as they returned to the main house. She had the task of locating the younger cursed members and escorting them to Adrian. Thankfully, others had seen them recently, so she followed the trail of fingers pointing her in different directions. Cole was easy to find as he was working on the accounting for one of the family businesses as usual. Alexi, on the other hand, was another story. The Griffin had a habit of wandering around the island, which means he could be anywhere.

Eventually, she was able to track him down and bring him to Adrian. The lean man sat at his desk, hands folded under his chin. There was a calculating glint in his eye.
“Thank you, Catharine. You can leave us for now.” Adrian didn’t move as he spoke, just stared at the teens.
“You will be sent to England. Think of it as a vacation, if you want. But you have no choice in the matter. You will be on a plane in a week. Pack you things and say ‘toodaloo’ to your family for a while.” He shifted so he was resting his cheek in his one palm. “We’re saving you from bad people, blah blah. Anyway, you’re dismissed. If you have questions, ask Catharine... Or maybe your new friends from the other cursed families who you’ll be meeting there.” His smirk was akin to something evil. He waved them out. “I’m sure you’ve got a lot of packing to do. Hop along.”

Izumi had called for Tomoko and Hayashi to come see her. She sat in the garden on the grass. She stared out at the plants. Her eyes were red and puffy from tears. When the girls arrived, she patted the ground next to her. She took a few moments before she could start talking.
“I love my family so very much. You are all so important to me.” Tears began to well up, but she fought to keep them back. “The family is in danger, especially those with the curse. The different families have agreed to work together to stop it, but we’re sending you to stay in England until this is sorted out. The main houses are too dangerous.” This time, Izumi was unable to hold back her tears.

Even with tears flowing down her face, she smiled at her family. “The other families are sending their younger cursed there as well. This will be a good opportunity to make some new friends and be exposed to new cultures. Your plane tickets are fully paid for. Just think of it as a vacation.” She opened her arms to hug the girls.
“Now, you two should get packing. Your flights are in a week.” She shooed them away, so they wouldn’t see her weep any more.

Narek wasn’t one to extend things unnecessarily. He located Ruben and gave him the news.
“Ruben! The families are sending you guys on a vacation to England for a while. They’re even paying for plane tickets.” He grinned widely, trying to play it off as a good thing. However, his smile faltered. “I don’t know how long you’ll be gone for. The family heads have decided it’s safer to keep you there than in a main house. They’re doing the same with their members. There’s something... less than pleasant going on.” He forced a smile. “But we’ll sort it out. We all have our contacts and resources. And you guys will be safe.” He patted the snowy owl on the shoulder.
“Your flight is in one week. You better pack your stuff.” Narek grinned and pranced away.

Hetepi was lounging on his mountain of cushions as cursed members were ushered in. His advisors stood nearby with their own ways of taking notes. The Tahan family head looked at all the members but lay back down.
“I don’t feel like doing it. You tell them.” He waved his foot towards one of the nearest advisor.
“But sir-“ Hetepi sat up enough to glare at the man before laying back down.
“As you wish.” The advisor cleared his throat and stepped forward. “It has been agreed upon by all the cursed families that you shall be sent to a home in England while a potential threat is dealt with. This is for your safety and wellbeing. Please make sure you are packed and ready by the time of your flights next week.” The adviser bowed his head and stepped back.

Hetepi sat up, looking over his members. A smile that was far from friendly was visible on his face. “Have fun with the farmers, fishermen, and barbarians.” He waved and the members were chased back out of the room.

[/div][/div][div class=content][div class=scroll1]To say Alexei was upset would be, well, quite an understatement.

The day had started like any other. He risen with the sun and set out with the intention of going on an early morning walk around the island. The early morning walk had turned into an entire-day sort of hiking trip, and by the time Adrian's assistant found him, Alexei was a bit of a mess. Twigs and leaves stuck out of is hair at odd angles, and there was dirt all over his hands. He idly rubbed his hands off on his pants as he followed Catherine, his previously wistful mood becoming sourer the closer they got to the main house.

Adrian was someone he "didn't get along with," to put it nicely, or someone he was "absolutely terrified of" to put it truthfully. His stomach churned nervously as he tried to think what the man could possibly want with him. When he finally arrived at Adrian's office, he did his best to put an impassive mask on--showing no fear, but also nothing that would make him seem disrespectful.

After Adrian's explanation, Alexei felt his eye twitch, irritation growing within him. Leave the island? This was their home, he couldn't just send them away like that! At the words "say ‘toodaloo’ to your family for a while," Alexei's mouth formed a rather bitter smile. Adrian was aware that Alexei had no family to say goodbye to, and he just new he had included that just to upset him.

Once Adrian made to shoo them out, Alexei took a deep breath, calming his irritation, not wanting to cause any sort of scene. He thanked Adrian apathetically, before excusing himself, faltering when leaving the room and childishly slamming the door behind himself. He quickly made his way outside, and once there, found himself kicking the wall of the building in frustration, before leaning in and resting his forehead on the white stone exterior. An angry growl made its way out of his mouth, followed by a deep sigh. [div class=dialogue]"What the hell..."[/div] he grumbled, wishing more than anything that he had the courage to give Adrian a piece of his mind.

Shimada.Minami.full.123572.jpgWhen Yua left she stood there for a moment then peaked back at Izumi. "Did she just say we were going to England?" For a moment the fact they were in danger went right over her head. "I get to go to England!" She was ecstatic! She was ready to dash home and pack right now. She was already mentally backing her bags trying to decide what to bring. But then she remembered. "Oh right she said we were in danger huh?.....I wonder what happened?" She soon felt bad she was just happy about England realizing how sad Izumi seemed. "Wait a min? Did she say how long we were staying?" Then the fact she was in school hit her to. She kind of wanted to go back and ask but it looked like Izumi wanted to be alone. "Hey Tomoko what do you think about all of this?"

She looked Hetepi as waited to hear why they were called of course the lazy ass didn't feel like speaking. Don't say anything Rahel it's not worth it. She thought to herself. The advisor told them they were being sent to England for their protection. Apparently they were in danger. What the danger was they never said. Though going to England didn't sound so bad. In fact kind of sounded exciting. She was just about to leave to go find her mother and tell her the news but then Hetepi spoke up. Rahel eye twitched after he said his little smart ass comment and then that stupid smile on his face didn't help. "Why you spoiled brmmmmm!?" Suddenly she felt a hand cover her mouth. She looked up to see it was her personal servant Mor. She gave him and annoyed looked and tried to speak. "Hmmmm! Mmm! mmmm!" Mor ignored her. "Sorry for her almost out burst sir we'll leave now." He then let go of her mouth, picked her up and threw her over his shoulder and started walk out. "H-hey put me down and let me give him a piece of my mind! I'm not going to let this spoiled little brat talk to me like that!" But of course Mor just continued on his way out. "Ugh! I'd be glad to get out of here Hetepi. At least I want have to deal with you in England! You spoiled brat!" She managed to get out before they left the room. Once they were out the room Mor sighed. "Guess your mom was right to send me to watch you while you were going to see Hetepi. Rahel just puffed out her cheeks annoyed. "Can you put me down?" Mor answered a quick, "Nope"

Akil had been in the middle of a lesson with one of his private tutor when they were interrupted by an advisor. He was evening summoned by the house head. Apparently it was a matter of utmost importance from the way he was rushed from his room. Akil sighed as he followed the advisor. He really hoped that whatever was going on was something important enough to interrupt his study. Akil took his learning seriously. He focused all of his time on learning and expanding his knowledge. It was important that he remain studious if he wanted to become an Ambassador. Akil didn’t have an idea of which country he’d like to be an Ambassador of just yet though. Akil watched as other members of arrived, they were all headed in the same direction until they formed a group.

Akil was ushered into Hetepi’s room along with the rest of the cursed members. He looked over the head of his household. Akil wasn’t surprised that he’d make someone else speak for him. It was no secret that Hetepi’s was both lazy and incredibly spoiled. Akil listened with his usual stoic expression on his face. Well at least he’d been interrupted for a good reason. Akil wondered just who or what posed as a threat to them. He was pulled from his thoughts by yelling. Akil looked to see Rahel, their resident canine, being pulled from the room by her servant. Akil figured that she was either very bold or very foolish for her outburst.

Upon being dismissed Akil left the room, he didn’t pay any mind to the sarcastic comment from their house head. He wasn’t upset about being shipped off to England. It had always been a dream of his to travel the world. He thought of it as a beginning of many trips. The circumstances were unfortunate however. He really would have preferred if Hetepi had elaborated on what was the threat. Akil didn’t like getting only half of information. Akil thought back to the trip. At least he’d be able to learn more about the families that they shared the curse with.

Ruben was about his business, his current objective being that of a rather difficult puzzle. It was only a 500 piece count, but all in all it made his brain turn in that satisfying way. Nothing like math or the school work alike. The soft echo of footsteps made him raise his head a bit, seeing Narek walking toward him with his usual grin.

"As happy as ever I see." Even though this conversation turned out warm and welcoming, he still felt a subtle unease prickling at his ankles. And the unease was quickly bloomed into a full on stunned silence. The mention of planes and tickets made his track of thought freeze for a moment, and the word England brought it right back. He felt himself stand quickly, his delicate piles of coordinated puzzle pieces falling into a jumbled mess as it was once before. Even after realizing the pending doom that was his future, Ruben just couldnt seem to spit out a word of complaint, the shock still taking hold of his vocal cords and clamping them together, leaving him with a puzzled expression without the words to say.

Sadly when he was able to finally speak out an ounce of worry, Narek had managed to slip away from the situation just as quickly as he started it. A week to pack and let the emotions of the situation at hand grew quite the array of terrible ideas. At first the idea of fleeing from his family and living in the wild seemed like a plausible solution, but seeing as how his survival skills was that of a domesticated snail, it was quickly shut down by the voice of reason. Fast forwarding till a couple days before the flight, Ruben now sat on his floor and was finally packing the things he needed. Through that entire week he had gone through the five stages of grief in its entirety, finally at the stage of acceptance, even if it was an irritated and sad one.

Young Hikaru was ushered out of his mother’s room. He tried to look around the adult that pushed him out the door.
“Why can’t I see Momma?” The young boy looked up at the adult with big eyes.
“Hikaru, your mother needs her rest. The more she rests, the quicker she’ll get better, okay?” The man kneeled down to be closer to the boy’s level as he spoke. Hikaru looked at his feet for a few moments.
“But Momma will get better, right?” He looked back to the doctor who smiled in response.
“Don’t worry Hikaru. She’ll be fine as long as she gets plenty of rest. Now I have to get going. Be good.” The doctor ruffled HIkaru’s already messy hair before leaving.

Hikaru spent the afternoon looking for bugs in the garden. He grinned widely when Izumi came to crouch by his side.
“Look, look Izumi! I found a ladybug!” He held out his finger which a bright red insect sat on. His golden eyes followed it as it flew away.
“Hikaru, I have to tell you something important, okay?” Izumi stated, quite seriously for the usually happy woman. Even at his age, he could tell the severity that was in her voice. He sat down properly and gave Izumi his full attention.
“With your father away for another couple months and your mother ill, there’s no one to watch you properly.” Izumi explained carefully. Hikaru looked at her, confusion evident on his face.
“With the other young cursed members being sent to England, we decided it’s best for you to go with them. You’re a big boy now and I trust that you’ll be okay.” She smiled sadly at the child. “You’re good at making friends and the other cursed families will be there as well. What do you think, Hikaru?”

Hikaru took a while to process what was being said. His brow was furrowed and lips pursed. Izumi didn’t rush him.
“Izumi, am I being sent away forever?”
“Of course not, Hikaru. Only until things are safe again. As soon as your mother is better, we’ll fetch you.” Hikaru nodded at that.
“Then I’ll go. If that will make it easier for Izumi and Momma.” He grinned wide at the family head who smiled back before ruffling the boy’s hair.

Frey
His eyes widened if only for a moment before fluttering down to his usual cold gaze. The news had come as a rather big shock to everyone in the house and he heard the quiet mutterings of those around him. Ellika voiced to Freydis what no doubt everyone was thinking. The family hardly moved or went on vacations in foreign areas simply because of how difficult it was, even someone who kept his nose as low to the ground as Frey could see the difficulties. Not only would you have to keep an on everyone in a new area, but different places had different ways of greeting or grabbing a person's attention. By throwing so many of them to a place so far away that he had never even heard of must mean the situation is more serious than he thought. How had the situation gotten so bad though?

A few of the younger teenagers were still voicing their complaints to Freydis. That they had events at that time or they were meeting friends. Some of the more anxious ones looked horribly frightened by her words, their minds already slipping into worst case scenario. Frey lowered his head to meet their level and gestured for them to do as they were told and to listen to Freydis. Carefully they all shuffled out the room. He looked between the two women.

"I have some assignments I have to finish before the end of the week and I need to finish my lab hours since I'm not sure how long we will be in England." he stuffed his hands in his pockets, his eyebrows narrowing in concern as he tried to remember all he had to do.

"I'll probably stay overnight in the lab for a few days. If this threat is as bad as you make it out to be I'll try to be careful. I'll go pack." Without another word he left as silently as he arrived. He didn't have much physical belongings and kept out all he thought he may need for the week to come. Once he was finished he threw on a jacket and flung his labcoat in a bag and started making his way outside through the icy cold hair to the twenty minute walk where his university resided.

Jirair
"Not so fast Narek jan." Jirair chortled grabbing him by his collar. "Trying to slip passed a snake are you?" She chuckled, her eyes boring into every minute movement of his face. She could see the tension behind his words trying to pass off this sudden odd announcement as nothing more than a holiday. After years of being so close to Narek being able to see when he was nervous was as easy as trying to make a stone sink. She let go of her strong grip and folded her arms across her chest leaning against a pillar for support. She cocked her head to the side. He was never one to put his family in any sort of discomfort which what Jirair considered to be a double-edged sword. On one end it created a loving atmosphere on the other she felt he was keeping everyone to sheltered.

"What did you speak of in the meeting Narek jan? Even for you these actions are far too hasty."

Ellika was far from happy. She was stuck on a plane for several hours. She was not a fan of heights. Or giant metal birds the magically stayed in the air. She didn’t want know how it stayed up. She didn’t want to know how it stayed up. All she could do now was try to forget the whole experience. She had done her best to not show her fear with the other family members sitting nearby.

Much like their house head, they were the first to arrive at their “new home” in the English countryside. The air was crisp and clean with a whiff of the ocean. It was enough to remind the Aldis family members of home and enough to help calm Ellika.

Freydis had told Ellika and the other members that Ellika was in charge at the temporary home. The others were to do their best to help her keep peace between the other families as well. Ellika had also been informed that the Doukas family was sending an older member to help keep things civil. Apparently Freydis had spoken to the Doukas member in question and they seemed like an upstanding citizen.

Once Ellika had calmed herself, she stepped out of the taxi and looked at the large house. It was nothing short of a mansion. A massive two-story house. It was three times as long as it was tall and built with red bricks that hadn’t been painted over, but instead were decorated with hedges and vines that grew up the sides. Many chimneys could be seen sticking out of the roof. The boundaries of the garden weren’t easy to see from the front door. At least that meant that it would be difficult for outsiders to see in as well.

Ellika waved for the other members to follow her inside. The entry hall was sparse, but still impressive. It opened into a large area which she could only label as a “common room”. It had a massive fireplace and many comfy looking couches in a semicircle around it, as well as at other strategically placed spots in the room. Ellika opened one of the doors to see a large dining room with enough chairs to seat an army. An open archway led from the common room to a hallway that had multiple doors on each side. Peering inside a few, she concluded that these were some of the bedrooms with a small bathroom every few rooms down.
“You guys can choose your rooms since we got here first. But stay close to each other. We can explore this place properly in a bit.” She instructed. Ellika opened the door closest to the beginning of the hallway. The rooms were simple and cosy. They had a simple, single bed, a small table with a lamp, and a basic wooden wardrobe. From what she had seen, the other rooms had been the same, just slightly different in where the furniture was placed. The tall woman pulled back the flimsy curtains to look at the garden. She could just see the gate to the property from her temporary room. This place was truly massive.

Ellika returned to the hallway. “I’m going to have a look around if anyone wants to join.” She waited a full minute for those who wanted to join her then led the way. The dining room was next to the kitchen, which was also impressive. Unlike their rooms, the kitchen was fully equipped with anything a cook could possibly want. The other side of the entry hall had stairs and another door. Going upstairs first, they found another hallway with bedrooms, exactly like theirs. The other side of the upper floor had a small lounge area. It seemed more like a study. There was a desk or two, but the several shelves filled with books were more of a deciding factor. Another, smaller fireplace sat in the middle of the room with padded armchairs nearby.

Back downstairs, the other door led to a room that just made Ellika sigh. She should have realised when she looked at the bathrooms by the bedrooms. They only held a toilet and a sink for the most part. This was the actual bathroom. Communal bathing area. This would definitely cause some issues. They would need to implement very strict rules regarding this.

Despite her instant distaste for the room just based on how much hassle it would cause, Ellika had to admit it was a well-designed room. In the centre, there was a bathtub the size of a pool. The pristine white tiles coated the entire floor with slightly greyed tiles as decorations. There was a wall that was half the length of the room near the back. After further inspection, Ellika saw that there were more modern showers installed behind it. They offered a little more privacy... from those who might be bathing. There weren’t any dividers between the five showers. Near the front of the room there were wooden racks set up for towels and then small cubbies where you would supposedly put your clothes.

“I’m... going to need to figure this out. Let’s go to the common room to wait for the others. They should be arriving shortly.” She led the way back to the main lounge. After getting a leather-bound notebook from her belongings, she began trying to figure out what rules would need to be put in place.

The other families all arrived pretty close to each other not long after. Ellika made sure she was a good “host” and greeted all of them. This house did belong to the Aldis family after all

[/div][/div] [div class="Name3"] Hikaru Hayashi[/div]
Hikaru had been having difficulty siting still on the plane. It was his first time to a big city, let alone on a plane to a different country. Still, he knew he couldn’t just run around and make noise. He tried his best to behave, but it was a very long flight. Thankfully, the seats had built in monitors so he managed to distract himself by watching whatever movies the others said he would like.

He fell asleep at some point and woke up again when they landed. He made sure to say thank you to all the staff they interacted with at the airport and again to their taxi driver when he dropped them off. The young boy wheeled his bright yellow, Pikachu suitcase towards the front door. He was enraptured by the massive garden. There was a stream nearby that went underneath the road. Or did that mean the road was a bridge? Either way, he was tempted to go for a swim, but with the weather being as cold as it was, he doubted that would be a good idea.

Even so, the rest of the garden as just as enticing. There were many different trees he could climb. Many bushes and flowers were a variety of bugs would be hiding. There were large patches of grass that would be perfect for a picnic or just lying down and finding shapes in the clouds. He decided that he liked this place.

They were greeted by a very tall lady when they knocked. Hikaru had no issue pointing this out.
“You’re very tall.” He stated before grinning widely. The girl seemed taken aback by his comment... more so by his presence, but he didn’t know that.
“Uh... Yes I am.” She looked at him more carefully. “And you are very young.” The tall woman responded.
“I’m ten. That’s not very young.” Hikaru crossed his arms. The tall person raised an eyebrow, but didn’t fight him.
“Anyway, come in. I’ll show you what rooms are available.”

It looked like they were the second family to arrive and also got rooms on the bottom floor. Hikaru felt a little weird getting a whole room to himself. If his parents went to stay over somewhere, he would usually share the room with them. Even so, he wasn’t complaining. That would be a very immature thing to do, and he was very mature. He needed to show the tall girl that he wasn’t that young.
