Narator's POV

Starting location : Flairen Stellar Academy –School Hall

The students of Flairen Stellar Academy begin to gather in the School Hall. It was 8 AM at the moment, only thirty minutes before the orientation held by the school's infamous principals. Many chose to use this time to get to know the new students that recently enrolled or chat with their friends, filling the spacious hall with the happy sounds of friends chattering and occasional laughter. Despite how different and unique each student that stands in this hall are, most of them get along well and bond over their quirks and interests.

Meanwhile, behind the silky red curtains on the stage, stood the three principals of Flairen Stellar Academy. They were silent throughout their own preparations for the orientation. The First Principal, Rukane Kadeson, was quietly observing his students through a computer monitor connected to the many security cameras installed in the seemingly normal hall. The man glared at the screen as if the sight offended him. The Second Principal, Hanari Kiedain, was fixing her straight raven locks in front of a mirror at the dressing table. Her face was void of emotion as she held an open, thin paper fan with detailed patterns on it, holding it over her face. The Third Principal, Zain Reynolds, was staring at Rukane with an expression of disapproval. He clicked his tongue and shook his head.

"Rukane, please refrain from spying on our students with silly cameras. We have our best teachers out there that are more than capable of managing childish troublemakers, so you need not worry about them," Principal Reynolds sighed, not missing how Principal Kiedain had directed a look of appreciation to him. Principal Kadeson frowned at his fellow principals as he shut off the computer monitor to join them both at the small round table placed in the corner. "You are right, Zain," The First Principal agreed, holding up a folder of papers, "Shall we look through the contents of the orientation once more?" The other two principals nodded.

"Come on, come on, just like they said. No need to be nervous. No need to be nervous. All those things were just rumors. Elliot was just trying to scare me.. Yeah, that's it." The young white-haired boy tried to psych himself up, still standing outside in the hallway. He anxiously tugged on the strap of the guitar strapped to his back, clinging onto it for a moment.

Certainly the kid had reason to be nervous, even if to everyone here this might be normal, the reputation of this school from the outside was more than enough to terrify most kids. He watched awkwardly as a few other students and a teacher who were distinctly inhuman with fur, scales & fire, passed him. *Gulp*

The boy shook his head quickly trying to cast out the worried thoughts. He had to make a good impression, especially since he doubt most here would like him for his power. "Frick, what if they come after me to beat me up over it..?"

This thinking just made it worse. Right plan B, be bold. *Gulp*

Taking a deep breath he slid his headphones down to his neck and took his first steps forward into the Gymnasium, striding into what would be his new life, if he liked it or not. He tried his best to not stand out too much, instead just trying to blend himself into the crowd of students to take a look around. That said and to his displeasure his bright silvery hair was definitely easy to pick out of a crowd, not that he could do much about it at this point. He just hoped he could find an older student or something he could try and subtly hide behind.

Grey knew what today would hold. The principals going through the motions of welcoming new students, and welcoming the old ones back. Of course, knowing what was planned meant nothing. Everyone was expected to attend, so everyone would attend. Currently, she was wandering the main halls of the school, essentially people watching. Plenty of familiar students, not many she cared to call friends, and a surprising amount of new students. So many new powers to witness. Hopefully some more people who, like herself, weren't just superpowered humans. Maybe there would be another kind of nymph?

Regardless, Grey had one goal in mind before the orientation began: spend some time in the courtyard. As such, she expertly weaved her way through the crowd, sometimes utilizing a bit of wind to keep someone out of the way or to extend the distance her steps covered. If anyone would bother to watch someone as seemingly insignificant as Grey, they would witness a sort of dance. Utilizing spins, ducks, and small leaps to avoid the many shapes and sizes of people crowding the halls. She soon found herself in the courtyard. A large and open area, with less trees than a nymph could hope for, but better than nothing. In a single motion, she jumped, creating a gust of wind that pushed her into the centermost tree of the yard. Settling silently, a bird was watching her as she began to sing, soon joining in on the tune. It was an old song, one whose words were in a language unknown to most, as only other nymphs and fae could hope to recognize.

Ollie was walking down the hall his hands gripping the backpack straps, his grey hoodie covering his eyes, His head was empty besides the music blasting though his eardrums. As he looks up he is shocked to see he is in the hall that calm empty head turned into worry in a matter of seconds. Ollie takes his headphones off and lets his thought run though his head, thoughts from "what if i can't find my class'' to "what if my powers are boring to other people''.

Ollie looked around and saw all the people his ability started up on his own without him knowing before long his arm was just a cloud of fog he glanced down before taking a double look and turning his arm back to normal ''Crap'' he thought ''i hope nobody saw that''

Ollie finally made his way to the gym leaving his hoodie up he looked for a seat, he couldn't find one close to the back so he sat in the middle "better than being upfront'' he thought letting lose a little more than usual. It was something about this place that made him calm but also nervous at the same time maybe its the school part of it, but what calms him is that there is no more secrets about powers or abilities. oley cracked a smile before sitting down.

Claude starred from outside the building that would become his home away from home. With a new school came a fresh start. Even with his decision to leave home, the young lad often thought of his friends and loved ones back home. He didn't give much of a goodbye other than a note to his father, but he wasn't strong enough to come clean in front of them. Not with how proud they had been of him. The youth lowered his ballcap before jamming his hands inside his jacket pockets before heading inside. The crowded hallways presented him with so many unfamiliar faces that it was almost overwhelming. At his old school, he at least knew everyone since he was deemed one of the popular kids due to his team's performance. Usually, a ''hello" or some other kind of greeting would catch his ear when walking down the hallways. This feeling of being unknown to others was an odd one, but it wasn't one he disliked. It was just relatively awkward in a sense. Usually, some of his teammates would have jumped onto his back or pester him in their charming ways. Attempting to make conversation with the students he walked alongside proved nearly impossible. The words echoed in his head quite clearly. However, projecting them was another matter altogether. "When did talkin get so hard?" Claude mumbled under his breath.

Claude scanned across the halls for anything he could talk about. Anything would be appreciative right about now. Though among several engrossing students, something, in particular, had caught his eye. The sight of a young lad with a guitar brought a few memories of his silly drunk grandfather, which brought a small smile to Claude's face even if it lasted only lasted a few seconds. Slightly increasing his pace to catch up to the silver-haired boy Claude attempted to make out a friendly tone in his voice, only to sound somewhat mundane. "That's a mighty fine lookin guitar you got there," Claude said as he continued to walk behind the shorter male. He had only shortly noticed that the fellow male was several years younger than himself. In honesty, he just thought he was on the shorter end of the spectrum. "My papa used to use an old acoustic at some of our barbecues. Until he drank a little too much of his homebrew whiskey and passed out in the backyard." It certainly wasn't the best introduction he ever mustered, but to be fair, it was usually other people that greeted him first. "How long have ya been playin for?"

Hoshiko sighed as she proceeded to fold another one of her paper rabbits. She knew today was an 'important' day. There was an orientation today, like there was every year. The three suspicious principals of Flairen Stellar Academy will give a speech, warn students about certain things or areas in the academy, direct new students to their designated Group, all that boring stuff. She had went through more than five of these orientations throughout her life on campus. She spent more than half of her life here within the walls of the academy, and yet she wants nothing more than the right to roam free.

Hoshiko finishes off her origami rabbit hastily and shoved it in her satchel, proceeding to head towards the school hall. She felt restless, and she was practically squirming in boredom. Hoshiko was also extremely exhausted, which had been the case since her enrollment. Sleep was not her body's best friend. The Tengu was about to head to the entrance to the school building when a strong gush of wind swept past her with enough force to almost shove her to the ground. She manged to catch herself before she slammed head-first into the stone path. Hoshiko frowned. Who angered the god of wind today? As much as the female Tengu wanted to just flee from the courtyard screaming, she decided to throw her anxiety away and investigate the cause of the powerful gust of wind earlier.

Hoshiko closed her eyes, placing her hands together as if she was praying. Seconds later, a pair of black avian wings sprouted from her back. She stared at her wings for a moment, glaring at the reminder of what kind of blood runs through her veins, before jumping up from the ground. By instinct, her wings flapped slowly to keep her up in the air. Hoshiko flew a bit higher, hoping that she would spot something if she did so. Sure enough, the female Tengu spotted a pretty girl on top of a tree that was positioned at the centre of the courtyard. The girl sang in a language that Hoshiko was not familiar with, but the Tengu could tell it wasn't a human language. Hoshiko couldn't see anyone else in the courtyard apart from the girl on the tree, so the Tengu assumed that she was the cause of the wind. Hoshiko was hesitant to approach the girl at first, feeling her social anxiety beginning to stir in her chest. She never makes the first move when it came to conversations with people. But then she remembered how her teachers had nagged at her about how she had zero friends and was too much of a lone wolf.

Hoshiko plastered a fixed smile on her face, deciding that it would be good for her if she made at least one friend this year. Besides, the girl on the three seemed to be a magical creature as well, so perhaps they would get along? Flying down to where the girl sat on top of the tree, Hoshiko hovered near the the girl and greeted, "Hello. Are you... Are you a magical creature too..? That song you were singing was not written in a human language, yes?"

Nollan's upper lip curled up in disdain when he spotted a mean group of seniors bullying a Junior. One of them was from the Armed Group, Nollan faintly recalls, and they had used their ability to spray water at the unsuspecting junior, whose nose was then buried in a book. The junior had jolted at the sudden wetness on his back, letting out a gasp. The seniors has been teasing and taunting the junior since the spraying of water.

Nollan hated when people pick on someone, especially if their victim of choice was obviously weaker than them. When he first enrolled into the academy as a student, he was bullied and beaten up often. His bullies used to call him rude names just because he liked to wear make-up and acted feminine at times. Alright, perhaps Nollan had intentionally bragged to them about his natural beauty and cool backstory, but his hatred for bullying still stands.

Nollan was just about to teach the group of seniors a lesson by giving them a nice beating when suddenly, a fellow female teacher walks up to the junior and pulls him away from his bullies. The female yelled at the group of seniors and let them off this once with a very stern warning, scaring the seniors enough to make them scamper away the second she was done. The junior looked so relieved that he was about to sob in the teacher's arms. The teacher let the junior spill his tears and shook his head at Nollan, as if to warn him to control himself.

Nollan nodded at the female before waltzing away, walking towards a young boy that caught his attention. The boy wore a backpack on his shoulders and sported a grey hoodie that covered his eyes slightly, and the teacher could spot a small smile on the boy's lips. He sat alone, and seemed rather nervous.

Nollan approached the boy with an affiliative smile on his face, stopping in front of the male. "Hello there, do you mind if I speak with you?" Nollan asked, smile not faltering as he bowed, "I am Nollan Lakoi, a teacher here. Pleased to meet you, young magic user~"

Matthew was caught a little off-guard as an older kid approached and began closely following him. Nervous instincts kicking into high-gear as slightly changed course towards the seating row just behind here a sword wielding teacher was, just encase. "Act cool, act cool, you got this. Come on this is just school!" He hyped himself up again mentally, hopefully to stick this time.

Outwardly Matthew gave a very natural looking and friendly smile. "Thanks!" and a short chuckle. "It's pretty new one so I've not got to use her much yet; it's Acoustic-electric so I can use it with an amp instead of a bulky mic." Nothing if not a sociable person his words were spoken with a genuine-sounding enthusiasm. Even if it was masking his nerves. He continued walking down the seating row until he he was behind a teacher and a gray-hoodie wearing student. He looked them over for a moment but couldn't make out much from behind.
Picking his seat, he slung the guitar around to his front with its strap and popped himself down; at least the best he could with his backpack still on at least.

Hearing Claude's awkward introduction about his Papa however quickly relieved Matty however, a reminder that a lot of other people are in the same boat. Everyone new was going to feel out of place, awkward. "You sure he wasn't my music teacher? They sound alike." The silver haired boy joked.

"But urm, like five years? I was like six when my dad bought my first one. But Mom had me start singing and piano lessons like a year before that." He explained casually not that he could really remember himself - It was one of those things where he couldn't remember a time prior to him playing, and instead he was just passing on when his parents said he first did. Music was pretty much always part of his life.

"What about you? Play anything..?" He inquired with a curious chirp to his voice, though he expected the answer was probably no. This just felt like he'd picked easy way to start a conversation, and a better one than "why is your hair shiny?" .
Pausing for moment, Matt also drew the induction papers out from his pocket with the map of the school and similar he was given.

Orientation wasn't really something that bothered Juniper much, he was very quickly on his way, running as fast as his little legs could take him and easily able to be spotted by his bright red jacket. He rushed around the corner like a girl who was late to school, but without bread, and would rush into the back of the poor teacher present. Not like Juniper was much of a threat at his size. Regardless of whether he did bump into Nollan's legs, he made a dumbfounded wheezing noise. Why was there a person here, people? Walking in halls? First of all, unheard of, second of all this person looked like an adult.

He peeked around Nollan's legs to the other child, he was measuring their age and still kind of processing that he might be in trouble for running in the halls. ".....HI. I mean, hey, I mean- gotta go-"

Juniper gave them both an awkward thumbs up, like this never happened, and started walking backwards and the complete wrong way if he wanted to get to Orientation. Goodbye, it was nice knowing you, don't get me in trouble. Pretend this never happened.

Ollie was looking at the stage before a figure stepped in front of him blocking his view, not long after the person in front of him started talking. The stranger asked Ollie if he could speak with him, he was already nervous but then he said his name was Nollan and he was a teacher. '' Oh hi my name is Ollie'' he says quite almost to where you could barely hear him. While looking at him he sees that he has a purse and sword the purse didn't bother him it was more of the sword that scared him. As he finished his sentence another person came up to the two before slowly backing up awkwardly

disregarding what just happen and turning to look at the teacher''what is that for'' Ollie said quietly pointing at the sword before gripping his backpack straps again and looking down like he did something wrong

After only a few short moments, Grey was interrupted. Probably the fastest in a few years, actually. Better yet, this time it wasn't someone complaining about the 'noise,' rather someone wanting to make conversation. She held a finger out for the songbird to perch on, which it did, and gazed at the girl who seemed to also possess the ability to fly. Seemingly as good we herself in her fae form, too. "Yeah.. you don't understand it though, do you?" She said, more of a statement than question. "It's Fae, in case you didn't know. I'm a wind nymph."

''Oh hi, my name is Ollie,'' The boy in the hoodie said softly. Nollan smiled the boy, silently reassuring him that he meant no harm. He caught the boy staring at Zaphiren, his sword. ''What is that for?'' Ollie said quietly. Nollan felt a bit confused as the boy pointed at his sword before gripping his backpack straps and dropping his gaze as if he had done something wrong. The teacher took a moment before finally understanding what Ollie meant.

"I am an Armed magic user. This sword here activates my magic abilities," Nollan explained patiently, "Don't worry, I do not use my sword to slice people or my beef steak. I only use it when there is an emergency that requires my awesome sword-wielding techniques." Nollan chuckled at his own words, patting himself on the back for displaying so much talent for the art of comedy.

Just when Nollan was about to ask if Ollie was a new student, he felt something slam into the end of his spine and dangerously close to Zaphiren. Nollan mimicked an expression of agony before he ceased his dramatics and turned around to face the person that bumped into him. It was another male student, and a rather short one to say the least. He had the fluffiest of copper blonde hair and strawberry-red eyes, standing at the height that is no where near his chest level. Nollan suddenly felt a bit self-conscious as he wondered if his height was abnormal for a guy like him.

Before Nollan could start mumbling complaints about his height, the blonde boy suddenly made a dumbfounded wheezing noise. Nollan covered his laugh with a cough. That sound had amused him and cheered him up more than any comedy skit he has seen this year. That was a high compliment from him, since he was an expert at picking the greatest movies in the Romantic Comedy sections.

The blonde then proceeded to peek around Nollan's legs to his fellow male school mate. He then stared the boy up and down, making Nollan raise an eyebrow in amusement.

".....HI. I mean, hey, I mean- gotta go-" The blonde boy suddenly went to excuse himself, walking the opposite direction of Ollie and Nollan as he raised a thumbs-up.

Nollan was sure that the blonde was a second away from the 'flight' option, so he quickly started a conversation to keep the boy here. The man wanted to make sure that most of the students present will stay here for the orientation and not go wander off to a random spot on campus.

"Why are you so quick to depart, young lad? I am sure you two young males could kick-start a friendship if you stayed," Nollan called out to the blonde in a teaisng tone as he motioned towards Ollie and himself,
"I am Nollan Lakoi, an Armed magic user with the ability of ice. I am a teacher here, as you can probably tell. Pleasure to make your acquaintance."

Hoshiko watched nervously as the girl with a unqiue case of Heterochromia held a finger out for the songbird near her to perch on, and was rather amazed to see it comply. She felt a bit frightened, since this was her first time making the first move in a social interaction. 'What if she finds me annoying?' The female Tengu thought to herself in panic.

Hoshiko fidgeted nervously as she waited for a response, her wings flapping softly in the air. "Yeah.. you don't understand it though, do you?" The girl said, her tone telling Hoshiko that the words were more of a statement than a question. Hoshiko took that as a sign to keep quiet, in case the girl chooses to elaborate. Fortunately, the Tengu was right about the other's further elaboration. "It's Fae, in case you didn't know. I'm a wind nymph," The wind nymph explained, causing Hoshiko to gasp in surprise. Her grandmother used to tell her about Fae and other mythical creatures, so she had always wanted to meet a nymph or an elf in person. "How fascinating," Hoshiko mumbled, currently caught up in her train of thought that was going haywire. That would explain the strong gust of wind earlier.

"I am a Tengu, and it's a pleasure to meet another fellow magical creature," Hoshiko introduced herself, "My name is Hoshiko, and I am a thirteen-year-old in Senior Level."

"May I ask why you are here in the courtyard instead of the School Hall?"

Grey cocked her head slightly to her right. "I'm Grey Blackburn," she responded. "I'm also in my last year of being a Senior." A Tengu girl, who was her own age nonetheless? How had they not met before? Regardless, this girl struck Grey as quite odd, considering the question posed. "Well, it's much more quiet here. The birds actually gather here sometimes, as you can see." Her tone was matter-of-fact before pulling the songbird closer to her own face, and whispering a message to her companion, prompting it to take flight and leave. "I know Flairen has been my home all my life, but the courtyard even more so. This small snippet of nature is calming to me."

Amidst her brief explanation, a thought occurred to Grey. "Aren't Tengu relatively rare?" She asked Hoshiko. "Well.. I guess humans don't really react too kindly to realizing their gods of the past aren't as all-powerful as they seemed." She'd read about things like that in some of the various history classes she'd had before, knowing the same fate might have fallen upon the Fae if they regularly interacted with others- Grey herself being one of few exceptions she was aware of.

It was orientation day again at Flairen Stellar Academy an event that happened every year and everyone both new and old had to attend much to Avalon's distaste, she hated being surrounded by people, she hated being around most people in general but alas this was the hand she had to deal with and she wasn't going to complain too much about it. Overall her school experience so far had been different, she can freely use her powers without fear of being called a freak, which was a plus side, but she also has been unable to make many friends over the past four years other than the fauna in the surrounding area, which to say how many other students attended the school was something that always was on Avalon's mind. Avalon looked at her watch she still had 30 minutes until orientation started, and she was going to make sure she only got there at the last second, the less time she had to spend in the stuffy hall filled with people the better. Instead, the girl was heading to the courtyard it was one of the few places in the school where nature resided, and one of the few places where you could find Avalon if classes were not in session.

Walking to the courtyard the young girl begun quietly singing to herself. The song she was singing was Bean Pháidín a song in Gaeilge, a language that since coming to the school she hasn't been able to speak often which had been disappointing to the girl having been raised with the language so singing was her one way of using the language. The journey to the courtyard didn't take long but the sight once she got there wasn't once that she expected. Looking around the courtyard it seemed she wasn't the only one with the same idea of killing time here before orientation as two other individuals seemed to be mid-conversation in a tree, well more precisely one in a tree and the other flying. Avalon looked at the two she had seen them around before but had never conversed with them. Avalon thought about just leaving but then the thought that came to her earlier came back, the lack of friends she had and this was a perfect chance to make some more.

Avalon walked over to a tree next to where the duo were conversing and placed her hand on it. "Lend me a hand." Muttering the line one of the branches of the tree came and swept Avalon up like a giant hand placing her at the same height rather close to the duo. "Top of the morning cailíní, hope you don't mind if wee old me comes to join you two?" The question brought out Avalon's thick Irish accent came out in full, not to mention out of the nervousness of involving herself in an ongoing conversation, and from just singing in Gaeilge had caused her to add a bit of Gaeilge into the mix.

Gaeilge = Gaeilge is how to say the Irish language in Irish
Cailíní = Girls
Wee = Little
Bean Pháidín = Paidín's Wife

More will be added if/when used.

Disclaimer
I am not Irish myself I do however have an Irish partner who I get my information from so if I am wrong I apologize.

Don't worry Nollan, your height is valid. Juniper froze up when called out to and sighed, wandering back as if he was Atlas holding up the sky. So pretty dejectedly. "Yes sir...." Please don't tell me teacher. He shifted on the spot uncomfortably, pulling at the bottom of his coat as he took time to actually look at the two presented before him. He tried to sort out his individual thoughts before crossing his arms and sliding his gaze away. "I'm just, umm, taking a look around! You know! I won't be late! Nothing's wrong!" Well that wasn't exactly what Nollan had asked. He made a long hnning noise, just another way to buy time.

"See," He started. "I see you have a sword." He tried to leave it at that, he knew this was the wrong topic to pursue because his own ability would feed off it. His new plan was avoid telling the teacher his name as long as possible, because if they didn't know his name they couldn't tell on him for running in the halls. He just stood there stiffly, not giving any real response to making friends at the moment because he was still in fight or flight mode. "Yes. You are Nollan. Hi Mister Nollan and company."

Wow that was stiff.

Claude couldn't help but allow a small smile to overcome his face as the sudden enthusiasm and friendliness from the younger student gave him a sense of ease. Naturally, he had expected a school full of super-powered youngsters to be a bit rowdier than your average kid, but it was nice to see that some of them seemed to have a good head on their shoulders. Now just to make sure he doesn't accidentally tick off any of the more robust, more hostile kids, and his first year here should go relatively smoothly. Claude, unsure of where to go or sit, simply followed the younger one until he had picked out a seat and sat next to him. The silver-haired boy managed to prove to be as humorous as he was friendly. Getting Claude to let out a small chuckle when he mentioned that his teacher was similar to his grandfather. ”Sounds like your teacher would have been good friends with my gramps. Though I'm not sure, I could handle being next to two loud drunks.”

His small smile became slightly warmer when the boy mentioned his parents and how involved they were with his music. It seemed rather sweet that his parents assisted him with stuff he enjoyed or at least helped him discover it. ”Your folks sound pretty nice. It seems you also enjoy your hobby lugging around that big ol’ guitar with you.” Claude couldn't help but to pause for a brief moment when the boy asked him if he had ever played himself. Taking a bit to think about all the times he had heard his grandfather play, but never had enough time to take lessons from him. ”Sadly not, though I always did want to give it a try. I spent a lot of time with my pops. He was more focused on how I did in baseball than anything else. So since I was continually practicing, I never really got time to explore different hobbies other than that. It was pretty fun sometimes, but he was a little more passionate than your average baseball player.” Claude paused for a bit after mentioning his father before looking down towards the floor. He began twiddling his thumbs around as his smile slowly faded. Wondering what his father was thinking right now about the note he left. ”My pops is pretty famous among baseball fans—best pitcher and batter on his team. So naturally, everyone was expecting me to take some sort of aspect from him. I guess the constant pressure and expectations made the game less fun after a while.” Claude purposely left out the small little detail about cheating to win his games though he was truthful with what he did say. Considering how this was someone he had just met coming out with the fact that he was a cheater might not be the best look for him. ”I guess that's one reason why I ended up enrolling here when I learned of my power. Figure out new things to do with my time. What about you? What're you hoping to do now that you're here?”

Another year, another orientation....

With her hands behind her back, holding onto one another, Namiko walked down one of the empty halls of the academy. She passed by a window, stopping for a moment to look outside. It was a nice day out. The sun was shining and there weren't many clouds in the sky.

Maybe I'll spend some time in the courtyard later...

Namiko looked away, continuing down the hall towards the gymnasium. All the other teachers were supposed to be there and keep an eye on all the students in the audience. She wondered how many new students were coming in this year. Though, she'd eventually meet most, if not all of them, in her classes.

Namiko rounded a corner and up ahead was the entrance to the gym. She could hear many voices talking and she saw many people gathered around. Some were still hanging out by the entrance but a majority of the crowd was already situated inside the gym. Namiko walked through the doors, looking around the room for a spot to stand. She could see some of the other teachers had already taken places along the sides of the gym. There were some other instructors mingling with students as well. Specifically, she noticed Nollan. Namiko had spoken to him a couple times before during her time in the academy, but they weren't exactly close. Regardless, she paced over to where he was. As she got closer, she pressed off from the floor, beginning to float forward and slightly upwards as she neared her fellow instructor. It looked like he was talking to some students already. Right as she floated next to Nollan, she turned and oriented herself in a sort of laying down pose, giving Nollan a small wave.

"Good morning Nollan. I see you've already drawn a crowd to you with your charm."

Namiko joked a little, smiling. She looked at the students that were nearby, shifting her position so she was sitting in the air in a cross-legged position and gave them all a nod. At this point she had lost her momentum and was just floating in place in the air, not too high up.

"My name is Namiko. I'm an instructor here. I think you'll be seeing me soon in classes.

Ollie looked past the teacher at the kid ''he is really short'' that thought brought a small smile to his face before it quickly disappeared when Nollan said he could make friends with him. Ollie is nice but he doesn't think he is a really good friend he thinks he is to quite and weird to have a friend, plus its too soon school just started. Ollie kept looking a Juniper in a daze his light green eyes locked on to his shirt. Ollie went to speak but got cut off by ''another teacher'' he said under his breath '' why is she floating'' he began to mumble a little bit before stopping hearing the teacher talk to Nollan ''so she is a teacher'' he mumbled more. He was out of it so he got caught off guard when the teacher start talking to him and the short kid.

'' I'm sorry what was that i couldn't really understand'' he lied he didn't understand because he was too deep in his head space to even notice more people where in the hall while he looked around he began to sweat they all looked stronger then him ''i really hope we don't fight each other''

Matthew couldn't help but let out a laugh at the older students response. "I don't think I could handle two of 'em either." The boy's own smile mimicking Claud's seeing him relax as well, he was equally as glad that the first kid he talked to didn't seem like a bad guy - Maybe a bit awkward.

"Oh yeah I enjoy it, -but i'm just carrying it now 'cus it didn't fit into any of my bags and I didn't want it to get broken. New guitars are expensive and... I might have already broken one this year." He admitted with an abashed guilty look on his face. His expression quickly softening to a curious but sad smile though as he got to listen to Claud talk more about his family some more - The pressure, the stress it was a situation he was both unfamiliar with, and certainly not envious of. It hurt a little to think about.
Matthew could barely get his parents to show up to his recitals.

"Oh urm.. Make friends, survive mostly?" Matthew gave a pretty honest answer here.
"I didn't really get a choice to coming here.. I just kinda found out a few weeks ago that I have powers and urm, well so did a bunch of other people!" He paused, a pained smile on his face. "I just got told I had to pack everything and urm..." he made an exaggerated shrug, before almost on demand putting back an endearing friendly smile. "Well here I am!"
The sudden and funwilling change in his life obviously hurt, even Matthew couldn't hide that though he wasn't going to start complaining and did his best to put on a strong face of acceptance even if the situation sucks. "And hey now I get to learn new stuff!"

"Oh and it's Matthew by the way, or just 'Matty' that's what my friends used to call me."
He greeted warmly while brushing his silver hair from his eyes.

"I'm Grey Blackburn," The nymph responded, "I'm also in my last year of being a Senior." Hoshiko didn't reply to that, but instead continued to listen attentively.

"Well, it's much more quiet here. The birds actually gather here sometimes, as you can see." Grey's tone was matter-of-fact. Hoshiko let out a hum as an answer, watching as Grey pulled the songbird closer to her face, and whispering something Hoshiko could not make out because of the distance between the wind nymph and herself.

"I know Flairen has been my home all my life, but the courtyard even more so. This small snippet of nature is calming to me." Hoshiko could relate in a sense. Flairen Stellar Academy was her home since the age of five, so she has found many places in the school like the rooftop.

"Aren't Tengu relatively rare?" Grey suddenly asked Hoshiko. Hoshiko smile melted away completely at the question. She was not taught Tengu history or given any information about her own species as a child because of her febder, so she knows nothing of the Tengu race's rarity or anything about her kind in general apart from the things she found out through self-discovery. So, Hoshiko went with a shrug.

"Well.. I guess humans don't really react too kindly to realizing their gods of the past aren't as all-powerful as they seemed," Grey added. Hoshiko did not understand what the nymph had meant, but just nodded to hopefully cover up his cluelessness.

"Top of the morning cailíní, hope you don't mind if wee old me comes to join you two?" A voice with a thick and crisp Irish accent suddenly asked from behind Hoshiko. The female Tengu jolted, feeling startled. She took a second to remind her brain that she was currently in the air and should be careful, taking another second for her wings regain their strength to support her weight properly. She scolded herself mentally for getting lost in thought when flying. "Not at all," Hoshiko answered softly as she turned her head to face the person that had spoken earlier,
"But shall we head to the school hall as we finish our chit-chat session? I believe the orientation starts at 8.30 AM...?"

Nollan was still laughing internally about Ollie's earlier statement of ''He is really short'' as he yelled out to the adorable blonde male student. "Yes sir...." The boy with copper blonde hair mumbled after Nollan had called out to him. Nollan watched with a satisfied grin as the boy returned to his spot near Ollie and himself.

The blonde then crossed his arms and slid his gaze away, replying to Nollan in choppy sentences. "I'm just, umm, taking a look around! You know! I won't be late! Nothing's wrong!" The boy then proceeded to makee a long 'hnning' noise, and Nollan suspects that sound to be a distraction. Despite this, the man patiently nodded his way to the end of the boy's 'rant'.

Nollan shook his head dramatically and sighed, wondering why magic users these days were so terrible at socialising. He suddenly choked on a laugh at his thoughts, mentally praising himself for growing up confident and beating up his haters.

"See," The blonde suddenly began to say, "I see you have a sword." Nollan slumped his shoulders in mock boredom, but wore an interested smile on his face, "Yes darling, I have a cool sword that makes me leave watery snow on the floor behind me. Like I mentioned to our dear Ollie over here, I do not slice up kids or my dinner with this sword, so lose the tense shoulders." Nollan quickly adjusted his posture and flipped his hair to make it regain its former beauty, as he said the last few words. He noticed Ollie was staring at the boy, but he let him do as he pleased.

"Yes. You are Nollan. Hi Mister Nollan and company," The blonde said. Rather stiffly, might Nollan add. The white-haired man simply decided not to question the poor boy about his stiffness or strange answer. "Firstly, this cute child is Ollie and I am very happy you remembered my fabulous name," Nollan patiently encouraged the short boy as he motioned towards the adorable boy in the grey hoodie, "Secondly...What is your fantastic name, dear child?" Nollan tried to ask. He was going to leave it at that, but knowing children and his past self, he could not resist adding a last few sentences. "No, darling, I will not rat you out to the other mean and old-fashioned teachers for dashing in the school hall in the speed of light," Nollan spoke with a serious yet playful voice, a fond smile on his face as he recalled his teenage years, "I will protect you from the wrath of my fellow teachers, for I have done more than speeding on-campus when I was still a young lad."

Nollan was just about to launch into a huge speech about how he was practically a legend back when he was still a student when he realised a familar teacher floating towards him. Namiko. Yuuma Namiko, a magic user able to manipulate gravity. Nollan has admittedly not spoke to her more than once or twicr during his years teaching at the academy, but he was a bit (very) jealous of his fellow teacher's cool ability to levitate herself. Nollan was just a plain of ice-man with a sword on his back.

Right as Namiko made her way towards Nollan and floated next to him, the female teacher turned and oriented herself in a sort of laying down pose, giving Nollan a small wave. Nollan returned the wave with a solemn wave of his own and a friendly smile. ''Another teacher,'' Nollan heard Ollie say under his breath, ''Why is she floating?'' Ollie then began to mutter under his breath.

"Good morning Nollan. I see you've already drawn a crowd to you with your charm," Namiko joked with a smile. Nollan chuckled as he waved his hands dismissively, "I wouldn't say that this is a crowd quite yet, but I appreciate you complimenting my charms, sweetie." Namiko then shifted her position so she was sitting in the air in a cross-legged position and gave all of the males a nod of acknowledgement. Nollan observed that his fellow teacher had lost her momentum moments later and was just floating in place in the air. It was not too high of a height, thankfully.

"My name is Namiko. I'm an instructor here. I think you'll be seeing me soon in classes," Namiko introduced herself to the two male students. ''So she is a teacher,'' Ollie murmured. He seemed caught off-guard when Namiko mentioned him.

''I'm sorry, what was that? I couldn't really understand,'' Ollie spoke. Nollan spotted a sheen of sweat forming on Ollie's face as the man observed he began to feel rather anxious. "I really hope we don't fight each other," Ollie added, seeming afraid. Nollan sighed, softly, before reassuring Ollie, "Don't worry, our school has never experienced any riots in years. No one will be fighting their fellow school mates."

(I will post the orientation post soon. Thank you all for your patience.)

Grey was quite confused to see the tree start moving. Mostly because it wasn't in a way that she herself had never done so. Like it was an arm, a branch leaned down and grabbed a girl who looked around the same age as Grey and her new acquaintance, plopping her down so the three were all on equal sitting- well, two of them were. One was still flying. Grey was bewildered, as she'd never seen someone able to manipulate natural life in such a way. Part of her doubted it was good for the tree. "I.. suppose there's always room for more."

"However," Grey started. "Hoshiko is probably right," she admitted, knowing just how bad she is at keeping track of time. After all, most students around do it for her, with similar suggestions as the one currently being proposed. Deciding to leave the tree, she simply leaned forward off the branch that was acting as her seat. Of course, this meant she was falling, but the utilization of her abilities created a slow and steady descent from the tree, where she silently landed on her feet, and began walking, albeit at a rather leisurely pace toward the main entrance of the courtyard. Leaving this area is always the worst, so Grey makes it a point to go as slowly as possible while doing so. It didn't occur to her, however, that the other two may not want to take so long.

Jack walked outside in his wolf form. He spotted some leaves s and jumps into the pile.Letting out a few playful barks.

Ollie looked up at Nollan with a soft smile "so if we don't fight each other how do we control our powers?'' he said quietly mostly talking about his electrical powers not his smoke mimicry '' also is this our home now till we are old enough to leave'' his bright blue eyes fixated on Nollans eyes. Ollie his eyes still looking at nollans he went back into his head-space and questions began to run though his head " what if i get bullied?'', ''is this just like regular school?''

All these unanswered question rolled through his mind before long they calmed down and Ollie came to realization that he was staring right at Nollan ''Ah! s-sorry for starring'' he looks down towards the ground again

Juniper had tensed up at the mere mention of fighting. "Fighting? We're fighting? Why?" He pulled in his coat, paranoia clear in his eyes, however he settled down when it was confirmed that no, no we aren't fighting. He calmed down, and any furniture in the hall stopped trembling. It was a very, very subtle detail, but Juniper had quickly gotten his wits about him.

He looked at both the teachers and tried his best not to feel super threatened between two adults. He had a lot going in his head and it ended up causing him to lock up in place. He opened his mouth, before closing it and sighing. "Um well I should get to orientation." He did not given Nollan his fantastic name, but Nollan could probably find it during class. Juniper just liked the idea of clinging to what security he thought he had. Names are super secret right? You gonna use it for magic? No sir.

He had refocused his gaze on Namiko, staring hard due to the nature of her ability. He came to the conclusion that both him and Ollie were incredibly awkward, and kind of prayed for Orientation to start.

"I.. suppose there's always room for more," Grey soon replied. Hoshiko observed that Grey looked quite shocked at the girl's set of magical talents.

"However," Grey admitted, "Hoshiko is probably right." Grey then leaned forward off the branch that she was sitting on. Hoshiko was about to panic about the fact that the nymph was falling, but then assured herself when she saw Grey make a slow and steady descent from the tree, where she silently landed on her feet and began walking leisurely towards the main entrance of the courtyard. Hoshiko slowly lowered herself to the ground and transformed back into her human form, shuddering as she did so. She disliked being in her ayakashi form for too long, and she already was getting close to her limit earlier. Hoshiko quickly caught up with Grey, but not before yelling at the blonde girl that they should all hurry.

Ollie looked up at Nollan with a soft smile. "So if we don't fight each other how do we control our powers?'' Ollie asked quietly. "Fighting is a great option indeed, one that I used to support. However, I have realised that the only way to control your magic is to be able to control ourselves and our emotions. FIghting would stir up a great deal of hatred and negative emotions, would it not?" Nollan replied, remembering how he had once froze the entire field in the middle of summer after getting into a nasty fight with some upper-classmen.

''Also is this our home now till we are old enough to leave,'' Ollie asked again. Nollan flinched at that question. He had argued a thousand times about the 'No-Leaving-Campus' rule with the First Principal because of how ridiculous the rule is. "How could some random adults just snatch children away from their homes and lock them up in some school for their 'own protection'?" was what Nollan used to wonder. "Yes, that is correct, though I do not fully agree with this school rule," Nollan replied with a tight smile. "Ah! S-sorry for staring,'' Ollie suddenly gasped as he looked down at the ground once more. Nollan made a mental note to help Ollie boost his self-confidence and get rid of his stutter. "No worries, dear child," Nollan assured.

In the corner of his eyes, Nollan observed how the strawberry-blonde boy had tensed up at the mention of fighting. "Fighting? We're fighting? Why?" He pulled in his coat. Paranoia was clear in his eyes before he calmed himself down. Nollan had noticed with surprise that the chair a metre or two away had stopped trembling upon the blonde's mood shift. Nollan knew that the boy has yet to offer his name to him, and he was a bit offended that he wasn't trusted. How could someone not trust such a charming person like him? He kept his thoughts to himself as he stared at the blonde, who was looking at both him and his fellow teacher with caution. The boy opened his mouth, before closing it and sighing. "Um, well I should get to orientation," He told them. "We are at orientation, child. Honestly, the three principals couldn't care less if you are not watching them from the centre of the hall," Nollan sighed. He then whacked himself hard in the forehead when he remembered that he was supposed to silence the crowd before the orientation happens. He looked around at the crowd, groaning when he saw that everyone. "Oh well, Principal Kadeson can go freeze in the Himalayas," Nollan muttered, slouching in dread.

-------------------------------------------------------
Narrator's POV

The three principals nodded at each other after having gone through the files with great caution. Principal Reynolds had his suspicions about Principal Kadeson's true intentions and colours, so he made it a rule to go through the scripts of speeches together before they happened. "Shall we proceed?" Principal Kiedain asked her fellow principals as she snapped her fan shut. The two males murmured a 'yes' as the three stood up, walking up to the stage. Principal Kadeson stepped onto the stage first and frowned as he saw the mess that was the students. Teacher Lakoi had promised Rukane that he would get at least 7 out of 8 of the student population into the hall and sitting quietly, but from what he could see, the white-haired male was ganging up on two random male students in the middle row. Principal Kadeson made eye-contact with the teacher and the principal glowered at him from afar, feeling irritation bubble up in his chest as the teacher shrugged his shoulders and gave him a thumbs-up. Principal Reynolds elbowed him and cleared his throat, shooting him a pointed glare at him. "Start the speech, Rukane. I will deal with Lakoi later," Principal Kiedain hissed as she snapped her fingers, breaking up the two males and standing in between them. Principal Kadeson straightened his script before yelling out to the chattering students below the stage, "SILENCE!" He left the students to settle down for a moment before starting to read from the papers in his gloved hands.

"Hello, everyone. I am the First Principal of this school, Principal Kadeson, and I manage the Atypical Group in this school," Principal Kadeson began to introduce himself, "For new students, welcome. You have displayed impressive magical talents to be enrolled here and you will flourish nicely as a magic user with the help of your teachers." Principal Kiedain stepped forward and gave a slight bow. "Greetings. I am your Second Principal, Principal Kiedain. I manage the Armed Group," The female principal greeted the crowd, "You will start in this school with your respective groups and classmates. Rest assured that your teachers, mentors, and seniors shall guide you through your journey at this school. Each of you will receive your schedules and information files soon and you will be informed of which group you belong under." Principal Reynold made no moves of stepping forward like his fellow principals, simply reading his part of the orientation from where he stood. "I am Principal Reynolds and I am the Third Principal. A pleasure to meet you lot. Every student has their own dormitory rooms that will be tailored to their liking. Please refrain from barging into your fellow school mates' rooms without their permission. Curfew is 10 PM sharp, though I know most will not follow this rule." Principal Reynold glanced at Principal Kadeson, signalling him to end the orientation and dismiss everyone. Principal Kadeson clapped his hands together and concluded the end of orientation,
"You are all dismissed, have a nice day ahead of you."
