The only thing you need to know about making characters, is that you can only start as a Tier 1 class if you are using an Original Character. If you are playing as a canon character, you must fit the class that they have when they first meet you, so yes, canon characters can have Tier 2 classes.

A little explanation about stats and the dice:


Strength adds X amount of value to the end result, where X is the amount of strength the player has.


Speed determines dodging and double hitting, you may only double hit if your speed is at least 5 higher than your enemy. Your dodge rate is your Speed (X) multiplied by 3 subtracted by your enemy's speed.


Luck determines your critical hit rate, it is X multiplied by 2 where X is the amount of luck you have.


Defense reduces incoming damage by X amount of value from the end result of your opponent's dice roll. X is the amount of defense the player has.


Resistance is the same as defense except it reduces damage from magic attacks.


Magic is the same as strength except it is for mages.


HP is self explanatory, get to zero and your character is dead.


Each time you level up, all your stats go up by one.


All of the above stats are your base stats. You must update your stats after each battle.
