Name: USCR
History:

Started in the ruins of Albany, now called Al Bony, the UR began as a collection of small towns and cities that eventually grew into a single city-state. Through war and conquest, they would expand until eventually bumping against the city-state of NewOrk. All over the former State of New York, city-states had begun cropping up. And in Al Bony, an eager leader, infatuated with the idea of a united New York which he had come to understand (quite incorrectly) to be the strongest state in the Former United States.
Almost immediately, this did not click. While NewOrk was eager to join its cause if New York would be a federalized system, with the city states becoming states and would have equal say in the Union, many others did not wish to just give up their sovereignty. As well, there was nothing linking the areas together, as the nations had no natural barriers to mark its borders, other than a shoddy prewar map. However, this man, Albert Changing, was determined to bring his dream to fruition. All he needed was a pretext. This, however, would not come until long after his death. What he did, however, as support and in essence, create the myth of New York nationalism, using the concept of New York's greatness prewar as well as their dominance in the East. In order to supplement this, Albert commissioned great works all over New York, as Al Bony maintained good relations with other New York city-states and in particular, their people. They highlighted the similarities in culture and language and alienated the other states from nonNew York states.
Finally, in 2173, this work came to fruition as the city-states of 'New York' came together to form the New York economic zone, where the states worked together to do well economically. Trade would run through Al Bony, NewOrk and Fill, as well, tariffs, and trade deals allowed the union to gain an overwhelming advantage over its neighbors. In turn, this caused the explosion of industrialization and an integration of the states economies and particular areas of the Region to become a key center for raw goods to run. NewOrk used this power to gain a favorable trade deal with the Pitt for steel to rebuild the metros of the old city.
Then in 2234, as a retaliation to the growing power of the states, several city-states, and small towns invaded New York, followed by raiding At first, the states were unsure what to do, with their separate armies who were uncoordinated and tried to repel the invaders.
Finally, a man by the name of Angus Porter pulled in the reins. As he made an alliance with the Marines, a military organization inside the NewOrk with prewar origins, he made a plan with them. And so, the commander of the marines, Jason Amegonan, took his famed 150 men and set off on guerilla campaign while 70 of their men began various offensive guerilla campaign in the lands of the enemy. Meanwhile, Angus marched across New York calling for a unified army under no city-state but under New York, whether it was unified or not. Meanwhile, the campaigns of Jason had slowed the enemies advance, with supplies running low as they fought savagely to cut supplies from the enemy.
Angus had a year later called up 5,000 New Yorkers under the 1st Army. This army, supplemented by militiamen, met the enemy during the siege of Al Bony, crushing the undersupplied and weak army. This shattered the enemy and forced them to sue for peace. Though New York had succeeded in the war, they had not exactly come out unscathed, resulting in a white peace. After this, the New York army was disbanded forcibly, with Angus forced into exile. As well, the marines were forced out of NewOrk and went into hiding. The hunting of these men would cost the Marines 10s of loses.
All NewYork nationalism was essentially cracked down on as the state were eager to resist the call to something greater. And so there the States stood for nearly 6 decades until 2282 when Brotherhood of Steel squadrons began entering the lands of New York and the City-States demanded they leave. The Brotherhood refused, demanding they give the Brotherhood access to the vast supply of technology inside the New York Economic Zone. Al Bony refused. And so The War began. Almost immediately, the losers of the last war (collectively called the Opposition) joined in, hoping to put down the New York States once and for all. For New York, something had to be done.
BoS vertibirds strafed and bombed the cities and villages of the land and the Armies of the land was unprepared, uncoordinated, and undersupplies due to poor logistics. The civilians suffered as kill squads of the Opposition hit the villages and towns. Soon, even Al bony was under siege once more. NewOrk was only saved by the last minute overextension of enemy supply lines. However, at the last moment, an army arrived on the horizon. Suddenly, the Armies besieging the city of NewOrk were hit with the rapid and sudden fire of artillery. Before being able to retreat, the columns of the mysterious army of 500 slammed into the much larger Opposition, scattering their forces and routing them. This Army, as it was revealed, was a collection of A purely New York army of those who had fled NY, led by Angus II. They had made a quick trip to Watervliet Arsenal, where they had gotten the artillery. And in that particular battle, they were aided by the remnants of the Marine order, who had learned mountains of information from the tribal societies of the Catskills and the Adirondacks on how to fight against power armor soldiers. They carried antimaterial sniper rifles and pulse grenades, and despite casualties, they still managed to guard the Arsenal against the Brotherhood.
At a meeting in NewOrk with the leaders of the New York City State, Angus II, the son of the late Angus, declared he could defeat their foes. But only if Certain conditions were met. First, he demanded amnesty for the Marines and the remaining Veterans from that old nationalist movement. 2nd, he demanded complete control of the lands of the New York Economic Zone. And Finally, for the formation of a unified New York State. Seeing little other choice, they accepted. Kay Amegonan, leader of a marine force of 100, the last remaining men of the order to wage war against the BoS. Meanwhile, Tribal soldiers aided in Guerilla warfare against the logistics of the Opposition. Al Bony fell on January 1st, 2285. The Massacre that ensued was terrible. Seeking Revenge, Angus II raised an army of 1,000 and marched on Al Bony. No man was to be spared, and no one was. After this success, Angus left this front to another military man and marched west to the rural areas of New York to join his 500 men with a force of 1,500 that stared down a force of 3,000. Here, they played a game of stalking, picking off scouting parties and biding time. Soon enough though, they had chased the Opposition out of New York, and went on to conduct mass atrocities to their enemy's population. In some areas of Canada, whole towns were massacred, and anyone of value, taken, and in Utopiansia, a city state within Ohio, whole areas were depopulated and the after massacring the men, they would take the children to be added to the lands of New York. In the end, the Opposition was destroyed completely. Meanwhile, with the help of tribal warriors, the marines pushed the Bos to sue for peace. They used gliders to attack low flying vertibirds and used hit and run tactics to destroy squadrons. Finally, they had lured a force of brotherhood troops to a sleepy town where they then, with civilians, burned and destroyed the town by setting off the explosives laid within the town. This not only destroyed the bos army but also let the brotherhood see the N.Y. pension for sacrifice.

With the war over, the military stepped in, bringing order back into the country. A new nation had emerged. One of a single people who had been given an artificial sense of nationalism. Finally, the army had those responsible for the condemnation of the nationalistists and soldiers killed. Soon after, a constitution was writing, guaranteeing the forming of a federal Republic with the Marines and Military given the same status as the states of the nation. Kay Amegonan was elected as he was a hero of the war. Despite this, there is great distrust from the army towards the government. Kay now leads his nation.

History: Created in what is known as the Hub in California, the Brotherhood of Steel was formed by ex-military who took it upon themselves to protect mankind from itself. They confiscate any tech they seem to be too dangerous for use, though the definition of too dangerous varies from chapter to chapter.

Culture: Quasi-Religious Militaristic Order
Type of Government: Miltary Ranks (similar to Native American traditions, in some ways)
Strengths: Technologically advanced, high numbers, extremely devoted and disciplined

Resources: Several major strongholds, clean food and water, the largest collection of Power Armor on the East Coast, over two dozen Vertobirds, and the massive blimp called "The Prydwen."
Assets: Capital Wasteland, Maryland
Population: 250,000
Military: 3,567
Foreign relations: They keep to themselves unless attacked or they have forbidden tech, though even then they prefer to convince them to give it up. They attack Super Mutants and ghouls on sight, and refuse to have either in their ranks. Same goes for synths.

Name: Percival "Percy" Harrison

Bio: Born the descendant of English tourists trapped in the Capital Wasteland when the bombs fell, Percy was raised by two travelling entertainers. They barely scraped by, the two having no other skills except entertaining. They were small people, but the radiation of the wasteland changed Percy. He was bigger than either of them by the time he was sixteen, and was much stronger and more fit. For years he had no purpose in his life. He was terrible and entertainment, and for all he knew, he would just be a wandering drifter for the rest of his life. Then the Brotherhood came. They gave him meaning, their cause resonating with him. So he joined up against his parents wishes, and was a great recruit. He was a squire during the Purifier Conflict, though he proved himself at the battle, and was promoted to Knight for his service. It was soon after this that he met a scribe named Emily. The two grew very close, and with the permission of the Elder, were married. Ten years passed. Percy was twenty six and a Paladin at this point. The Brotherhood arrived in the Commonwealth to destroy the Institute. They didn't have to, since the Minutemen did it for them, and after recovering whatever tech they could salvage, the Brotherhood simply went back to the Citadel. Over time, members of the Brotherhood were disillusioned with Maxon's leadership. They feared that he was becoming more and more aggressive to outsiders. So, they chose Percy as their champion. He faced Maxon in single combat, and won. So Maxon was banished, and a new Elder was elected. Percy was the only candidate, even if he didn't want to lead them. So now he had the largest army on the East Coast on his side, and has no idea what to do with it.

Nation form:

Name: The Church of America
History: Founded in 2158 on the bases of various pre-war Abrahamic beleifs and muddied by much of the same misinformation as many of the faiths and ideas in the wasteland. While its core is built on the teachings of the Bible and other christian teachings, predominately that of the Catholic church, it has some aspects of nearly every Abrahamic faith in america as well as taking inspiration from other revered american documents such as the Constitution.

In its earliest days it was just the 'Reverend' Francis Pius I and his immediately family and later a small village in Delaware. In 2166 Francis went on one of his many pilgramages to save the 'damned'. He garnered support of a small group in Dover when he was caught up in a Raid and refused to fight but didn't cower or hide away. While in reality he probably put more lives at risk as the survivors fought back in order to save him they saw the fact he had survived the firefight despite his ear being shot off as proof that his words were more then just ramblings of a madman. With a renewed vigour they slowly retook the city in the name of 'God'. While Francis originally preached peace, when he died in 2167, not long after losing his ear, his son took command and preached with fire and fervour decreeing that god willed their success and that faith would be their armour. He knowingly stole many quotes of the past but his 'flock' were not as learned as he was and merely thought that Reverend Francis Pius II was an agent of god and filled with the lords inspiration. By 2183 they had retaken most of Delaware but Francis II had died and, dispite many secret mistresses Francis II had no official heir and so many were worried as to who would succeed him. The town leaders met up and voted the leader of Milford as their new leader in faith. Their leader was a woman and, while this would likely have gone against Francis I teachings Francis II had created a much more egalitarian and zealous group.

She named herself Pope Innocent I and took it upon herself to reform the group. It was during her reign that she named Francis Pius I's Church, the Church of America and formally established the Clergy and the current succession rules. They include that the Cardinals, who would each rule over a region of their land, would be elected by other cardinals and that the Pope could be anyone with American blood but not an immediate relative of the previous pope (cousins, grandparents and grandchildren are ok, parents, siblings, uncles and children not okay). Each Cardinal would manage their own army but would also send one third of their own force to directly serve the pope. In times of war they would be permitted to keep a third of their own force to defend their own lands but must allow the pope to command the rest. While she would not conquer as much as the previous or latter pope she did finally push their northern border up to The Chesapeake & Delaware Canal (Holy River). She would die in 2201 and be succeeded by Pope Francis III who wished to align himself with the first two popes despite having no relation due to their reverence by the people of the Church.

Pope Francis III never managed to gain much public support despite much efforts, taking the middle point of the Mason-Dixon line (The line was designated as Holy by both Francis I & II) expanding the border all the way to the south of the Delmarva Peninsula and sending off preachers to try and convert nearby regions to their faith, which all considered more important then the physical power of the Church itself. Despite all this a series of military and political blunders lead to the people being largely ambivalent despite the work he put in to serving the realm. He would Die in 2243, almost outlasting Reverend Francis Pius I in term served for the Church. He was Succeeded by Pope Pious I.

Pope Pious was far more popular and brought the idea of doing away with the Church out of peoples minds. Despite not focusing nearly so much on military conquest he managed to unify Delmarva Peninsula and establish notable presances in both the Capital wastes and the Commonwealth and ended Francis III's doctrine that implied that all followers of the Church had to unify with the political control of its government and spread the faith as a faith and not a nation of faith. This is what allowed his efforts in preaching much of the east coast to come to fruition however he considered himself a failure for not being able to garner a sizeable presence among those along the Mason Dixon line. He died in 2259.

Pope Francis IV focused on infrastructure, rebuilding the Lucius J. Kellam Jr. Bridgeโ€“Tunnel and building many new bridges over the Holy River to replace the many lost to erosion as well as repairing the sturdier bridges that had been damaged. While he made massive gains in rebuilding the state and making the region both safer and more travelled he was not considered much of a hero or a Pope. He died in 2264.

Pope Innocent II was quite a young pope but she quickly established a foothold in the north of Norfolk on the southern exit of the Bridge Tunnel. She also pushed the border up to Elkton and Glasgow. She strongly believed that to protect their nation they needed a strong border region and would work to reinforce these regions and fortify the many bridges as these were the only ways onto the Island/Peninsular. She died in 2276.

The current Pope is Honorius I. So far they haven't achieved much and their health is failing.

Culture: Americana inspired Abrahamic Zealotry
Type of Government: Elective Monarchy
Strengths: Morale and Infrastructure
Failings: Military Organisation (Including training and equipment) Unstable politics

Resources:
Lots of small boats, such a pleasure craft. A couple of Ferries and some experimental rockets (Not weaponable or mannable, just theres a rocket test site they fire unmanned rockets from to test)
The Peninsular suffers a little from a lack of resources but as a strong post apocalyptic producer of food stuffs it generally has little difficulty trading for more common materials for its many projects, the larger relgious orientated ones often gathering crowds from outside the Church who want to see the grand structures, the larger of which incite a toll for people not of their congregation to enter to see the interior.
Assets: Delawhere.png
Population: 25,300
Military: about Around 1,600 Enforces, purgers and inquisitors of varying rank and role that operate as regional military forces to ensure the safety and protection of the various regions and allow the Cardinals to operate with a level of independence. 400 Papal Guards who directly serve the pope and often have similar role and function to other soldiers but are generally considered to be on a higher tier due to their commander being above the Cardinals. 100 Dedicated Border Guards. These are rotated out of the Papal Guard and serve to protect the small number of entrances and ensure that tolls are paid by non citizens entering the lands of the Church and keep raiders and other enemy elements out of the peninsular.
Foreign relations: Varied
