Idea: Kids have abilities to manipulate time or the elements. They, along with some of the other children with powers work together to break free.
Where: Third world
How: Government captured them, they work together
Abilities: Time, Elements, Violence, Illusions
The part above isn't included into the actual role-play, but was rather given to me for a brief outline on how everything worked. The beginning of the role-play would look something like this:
A boy of maybe mid teens is shoved into a room, which was reinforced with double metal bars, like all the rooms with a bullet-proof glass as well. The soft rev of the air conditioning soothed everyone and the boy's eyes turned ruby red as he disappeared. The boy, along with many others, were abnormal. They carried specific. . extraordinary abilities, and the government labeled them monsters.
Years ago--no, centuries ago is when the story starts. A legend says that way back before anyone kept any written records, the gods descended onto Etherals, blessing certain individuals for deeds only super humans were thought to accomplish. The lord of Time, Thy, descended to the lands when someone managed to save a woman from death, as if pushing back time and death to make way for the life the woman was to live. The next time he descended, someone had taught everyone to cherish their pasts and to rejoice in it, resulting in a more embracing village. No one figured the third time Lord Thy walked on the lands, but a common theory is that he did, as some wall paintings talk about an unknown person some how managing to break time to "save the world".
The lord of the Elements, Ent, (silent t, nasal "en") graced the lands with her wisdom when each person found new elements for the chemicals. It was her first for giving her more to command over, and the second time was when the mortals fought against her to save something irreplaceable, such as the first water bearer, a girl who covered her dog and risked her own life in order to save the dog from drowning.
The Lord of Violence, Vargas, came down when mortals invented a weapon he truly loved. These people were given the gifts of their weapons and resulted in them always having the ability to summon the weapon at will. The second time around was when someone impressed him by making someone else feel agony with just a touch of a finger. The last time was when he was sick of constantly seeing blood.
The God of Illusions, Jester, had been given the opportunity to let 40 people into his grand dome and had all 40 perform for him.
Though, in the imprisonment, by the time the guards understood what had just happened, the boy stood at the panels and locked them in. "My, Fortuna smiled her good luck at me today." He said, a slight smirk played on his features. The boy went to the control room, looking at the cameras, then smiled. "Let's get these people out." With that, he began unlocking the doors one by one until every last one had been unlocked.
And so began the story.
This would be followed by a list of the abilities and a list of the gods one may refer to at all times. There would be a brief description of the world of Etherals as well.
