Gill's words were sharp and sank deep into the already sensitive wound of guilt Violet had been nursing for years. She angrily bit her lip, unable to conjure up even the smallest defense. She was never good at those anyway, the shock of an attack always rendering her useless and dumb until the opportunity had passed and the argument - if you could even call it that - was over. It's why she could never stand up to Blakstar. She'd be lying if she said she hadn't put at least some of the blame on Lolth and the other gold-hungry vultures. However, it was mostly a coping mechanism. Truth is, Violet knew that in her heart the only one she truly blamed was herself.

She had tried to get the old guild members back together, but there was little interest. It wasn't the same without Leoric and Winter, they would say, or perhaps they had already found another guild to replace the old. It hurt to see her friends simply give up on the guild they had worked so hard to built, but most of all it hurt to realize that everyone had moved on while she was stuck in the past.

It was a good thing she had her back turned to the gunslinger... she would hate for them to see her face and just how much those words affected her. As she walked away she could feel the anger slowly draining away and the sadness well up to replace it. Violet waited until Murlynd, or Lolth, or whoever they were, was out of earshot before she stopped walking.

"I don't feel like playing anymore." she said without turning around to look at Cass.

Murlynd
|Real Name : Gillian Dermitt | Level : 18 | Day : 0 | Time : 23 : 32 : 21 | Location : Daisy Fields on the Outskirts of Brightmoore |

Gillian steadied her breathing. Crouched on the ground, she waited patiently with the barrel of her right revolver resting on her left wrist to increase her range and accuracy, a zero-energy gunslinger ability. This did, of course, come with a tradeoff; you could only use one gun, so the DPS of your primarily-DPS character was slashed in half. Not that it mattered; Gillian could hardly use her left gun, anyway. It's just a game, it's just a game, it's just a game, her mind echoed on loop for the past thirty minutes, but she just couldn't break the mental barrier from years of firearms training on the family farm that kept her from properly dual wielding. She could aim one gun as much as she wanted--usually the right gun, as it was in her dominant hand--but using both at the same time bordered on impossible to her. Her Aimed Shot ability soon became her favorite for this reason, and it was why she was using it now.

But what was she waiting for? What would she be fighting today? It soon came into sight, and eventually into her sights; a level 22 Imp Knight, just on the edge of a bordering forest. See, Imps weren't supposed to creep out of forests, as forests generally marked the point where low level combat started to shift into early mid-level combat. However, she's known for a while about an oversight in the pathfinding programming where the creature zoning is juuuuust a little bit off, and occasionally an imp of some sort will dip into the grasslands, where they could be picked off from a distance before they could ever reach you with ease, even if you're five or so levels below them. It was a stellar early grindspot, especially so because Imps were intended to be a grind creature for players with levels in the early 20s, so they gave plenty of EXP. Speaking of which...

Gillian took her shot. The round struck true, hitting the Imp Knight cleanly in the head. But the damage wasn't enough to kill, even with the critical hit; not nearly. The Imp Knight turned, and began running across the field to Gillian. She stood, drawing her second gun. She fired shot after shot at the approaching enemy, the rounds from her left gun going who knows where, bringing him down to a half of his health, until she heard the familiar click many a first person shooter player is familiar with; out of ammo.

She hastily loaded her right gun, the Imp Knight approaching closer and closer. She loaded her first and second bullets; the Imp Knight had already cleared most of the distance, and had raised its blade at this point, ready to attack. She loaded the third and fourth; the Imp Knight prepared to do a charge attack which was almost a guaranteed insta-kill for someone at her level. She could dodge it, but dodging while loading would be hard. She loaded her fifth and sixth bullets, but the Imp had finally made its charge, running bladefirst at her at breakneck speed, and then... Gillian activated her newest gunslinger ability, Fan the Hammer, and unloaded every round of the gun into the Imp almost immediately. The Imp fell and faded, in typical MMORPG fashion, its health bar depleted.

His question was ignored. Of course it was. That was to be expected. It was the day of a new patch, and the chat was being flooded with party requests for the new content. His request was quickly lost in the sea of end game content requests, but to be honest Spencer wasn't all that irritated with it. He expected that to happen. He wasn't exactly prepared for what to do next, but he saw it coming. So. What to do now? He considered heading for Silver Lake Dungeon, to see if maybe he would have more luck there, but he had a feeling it was going to be just as overrun with max level characters as the town he was in. So why bother leaving? There were other, different people there sure, but he could just as easily be ignored there as he was here. That's when he got the idea. Typing in /who Town brought up a list of names, Spencer sorting the list to show players by their class. If he asked anyone his level where he should go they might want to party up with him, and honestly Spencer wasn't feeling very partyish right now. He just wanted to go somewhere, away from people, and grind out a few levels in peace. Maybe even gather some ingredients for his Alchemy skill.

Spencer decided on the healers out of all the classes, having had a pretty good run with healers in the past. He hadn't met a healer yet he didn't like. One name stood out to him moreso than the others. Neshempai. Was this guy Japanese? Even better. The only two Japanese players he had ever partied with were super fucking nice. And they were absolute boss level when they played. He didn't have to do much of anything when he partied with them, and if memory serves he got more than his fair share of the spoils. Too bad this guy wasn't one of them though. Spencer wouldn't mind partying with them again. But he didn't add them to his very short friends list, so he wasn't even sure if they still played. Shrugging, Spencer would shoot this Neshempai a private message/whisper/whateveryouwannacallit.

To Neshampai, from Chainmail Horror
the screen would suddenly show for his intended whisper partner, followed by the message Sorry to bother you, but would you happen to know where a mid level player might go to grind a few levels?

Iris Cooper (Beau)
Location: Bedroom

While Iris changed the settings for Fayel she notice him giving her a bow from the corner of her eye. She tried (and failed) to repress a grunt "Please don't do that..." and turned her attention back to what she was doing. When she was happy with the changes she saved it and closed the tab. But it looked like she lost some of the conversation because for some reason Yume was now moving into the next room and was fighting alone. Checking the timer Iris got why. She looked decided to get this done and it looked like the new guy was joining the group. Great. Just great.

"I truly enjoy this democracy we have going Yume" Iris yelled, Beau's hands cupped in front of her mouth as maker sound louder in the dungeons, to the figure in the next room, her tone dripping with irony but without any true bite behind it. Turning to the masked assassin with a side smile, her voice somewhat lighter, she said "Well, better keep up mate. That was the only "save me, I'm a damsel in distress" card you had." Rotating Beau around, she dashed to the other room, ready to beat some s**t. Not that Yume looked like she needed help by any means. But how could Iris say no to fights? Ever since she had to give up competitions in Judo, 4 years ago, due to an injury, she used this types of games as an escape. She got the chance to do it without risking a new injury or to make the one she had get worse. Not that she stopped doing it in real life all together, it was not that drastic, but she had to come to terms with the fact that she could never train like she used to. Or compete. And if she was being truly honest with herself she still hadn't accept that. Maybe she never would.

Pulling Beau's two handed sword out again, Iris moved to the front lines, giving a war cry that boosted her allies damage and armour bonus. Jumping in the air, she used the earthshaking strike skill to blow open a tear on the ground with a shockwave, battering the enemies caught in a 7 meter radius. With the three of them this was going to be fast. Iris smiled to herself, feeling a bit of the adrenaline from the fight pumping through her.

Mid exchange with the most reliable towns merchant, as her trade partners lacked their availability, Darah noted a small 'ping' embodying the event of a whisper chat aimed to her. With a sigh she tapped the bubble to open the chat bar which she kept closed as to keep obnoxious spam requests out of view. "To Neshampai, from Chainmail Horror," She began to read halfheartedly, not recognizing the username, thus finding little interest as she frequently encountered these greetings. "Sorry to bother you," Oh dear this sounds like it will be painful, she thought before continuing to read on. "... would you happen to know where a mid level player might go to grind a few levels?" Hm. Well that was a far less obnoxious question than she had assumed.
Pausing a moment she considered ignoring the message, not like she hadn't done so prior to this so it would be nothing new for her, but blame her good mood as she decided to type up a response. To Chainmail Horror, from Neshempai; Her fingers tapped over her keyboard as she hummed some song from a musical published 12 years ago she had been shown by her parents when she was a kid, raving over some man-- Hug Smackdamn or something. No trouble friend, from the look of your public avatar data you would be best suited for the forest land to the east side of the map not far from here. With a small pause she choked out a snort of a breath. Who in this day and age native born to the English language spoke this formally? Well her apparently.
She hovered over the send button before adding a haphazard, There is also a large group of dungeon, like Otobora or Gallilaio. However, these have absurd character requirement few player have met alone, especially after the update. But grinding is best in these area. At this point she was practically choking on her tea as she typed out her response, her 's' key was broken not long after creating her character during an event too small to mention, leaving auto-correct to fill in where it found fit and leaving bare where it didn't catch. That should suffice, Darah thought before hitting the send icon. Finishing her trade and collecting her fee she smiled, her pockets richer, this would do her farm some good or even her weapon of choice as it too could use the newest upgrades.

Mahia's character watched the gunslinger debating on if she should help or not. She decided not to, to distracted on why someone would choose a gunslinger as a character. I mean sure it was cool in theory, but very unpractical. The healer wasn't exactly her first choice either. Mahia earned her reputation as a tank, but could hold her own in whatever character choice was given to her. She knew what it took to be a healer, and she made a pretty damn good one, but Mahia had no interest in playing a game as one. It hadn't been bad so far, she had spent most of this night exploring. She was imagining what it would have been like to live in this world. Would her life be easier? Probably not with all of the threats surrounding every town and village. Would she behave in the bold manner of her game play? Mahia was nothing like her usual characters, first in last out. In fact in real life she was more like a healer, standing behind the crowd, helping when needed. Her similarities is what grew that soft spot for the character. She could have stopped her video series with the healer weeks ago. Yet her fans kept requesting more. Maybe it was because they got to see her interact with others, and occasionally her fanbase. Unlike most internet personalities, Mahia was a secretive person. She only played with other professionals ,and even that was rare. She saw everything as a competition. Her one escape from her stressful life had become her own imprisonment. Even now she sized up this gunslingers as a threat, judging his build intensely l. It wasn’t a bad character, I mean if she decided to be a gunner she would have went that route as well, doesn’t change the fact that she finds gunners to be more of a hassle then anything.

"Oh my god. Why am I this late?? I can't believe I'm this late!"

Jordan was practically sprinting from a business meeting to get home for her favorite game's update. WoS had already gone live again about a little less than an hour ago, the time then being a little past noon, which was equivalent to it being 11:56 pm in the game's time. She had been extremely busy over the past month and hadn't gotten a chance to play at all, and she wanted to run home and play for the few hours that opened up in her overwhelming schedule–which was what she was going to do right then. Of course, she actually had to make it to her house first, and hope her VR Headset was still fine after all the dust that accumulated on said device.

"Okay, okay, okay. Okay! Now where is it..." Jordan bust through the front door and quickly closed it, continuing to run upstairs to her room and search for the headset. The girl found it resting on the top of a stack of textbooks and picked it up, grinning from the pure excitement that coursed through her veins. She was actually going to play again, at long last! A month may not have been a long time for some, but seeing as how fast-paced the world of WoS was, there had to be a lot of content and updates that she had yet to experience, not even including the biggest, most recent one.

Letting out a sigh, she dusted off the headset, then proceeding to get herself ready to enter the game. First, she logged onto her account, 'Quxxnie' (pronounced Queenie) from her computer. The password was quite simple compared to the ones for her alt accounts, leaning towards the small number of six or so characters. The game welcomed her, the headset slid on–and the adventures began.

Jordan was immediately greeted by some of the others in her friends list, being asked to party up and explore the new content when it officially became available in about a minute or so. She also found herself spawning in at one of the low-leveled town areas for some unknown reason, next to a player with the tag 'Nugget' floating above their avatar's head accompanied by their HP gauge, class, and level. Nugget was... an interesting username, to say the least, especially for their avatar looking like one of the 'darker' types commonly found around the game. Deciding to humor herself, she decided to talk into her mic, the words "Nice username," being directed at the fellow before she decided to go and answer some of her direct messages from friends.

Unfortunately, that did not happen. As soon as the last word left her (avatar's) lips the game seemed to crash; her sight went black.

... but the sounds could be heard. The background music was still playing, albeit quietly and choppy. The sound of confused players in the proximity talking into their mics... Did the game crash? Why can I still hear you? Is this because of the update? This was all until about thirty seconds had passed, until the world got silent again.

While it was still dark, Jordan felt a slight breeze against her face. She didn't remember leaving her window open, nor did she have any cooling system near her in her room. The smell of food entered her senses, and players' voices could be heard once again–but this time, there were a whole lot more.

Snapping her eyes open, Jordan looked around. She was in Uwharia, which was not the town she was previously in. The scenery looked so much more vibrant and realistic than how it did just a minute ago... The trees were rustling in the soft winds, the stone buildings had every crack and crevice, and the people were a whole lot more expressive. Huh... Wait a minute. Nugget, who was still near her, didn't look remotely like how he just did. Instead of his white locks of hair and fantasy-esque clothes, he had black hair topped off with a normal sweater one would see in their day-to-day life. To be completely honest, he looked a bit like someone she knew awhile ago...

"Hey, Nugget. I'm the one who talked to you before the game did it's little weird spasm thingie! Uh, do you know what that was about? And I couldn't see my menu at all! How'd you change your avatar? Not that I'm judging and all but..."

(hey, guys! sorry it's a bit rushed in some areas, but here it is! I ended up time-skipping since we should probably get this show on the road–hopefully none of you mind.)

A loud thud was heard as Íker fell from the hammock he slept on. Running his head he looked around in a sleepy daze, slowly nursing a now bruised elbow. Íker stood up and looked around his room, there was clutter just about everywhere . His suitcase laid open in the far left corner near the door, with clothes in a disparity of colors neatly folded. It’s been a while since he’d visited his mother in Mexico, he’s lived in the United State for most of his life. It was a nice change of pace to arrive at Tampico to take load off. The weather was something else though, a strong heat wave hit the day before he arrived. Leaving the residents to find any source of cooling available to them.

“This heat is gonna be the death of me.” Íker looked through his suit case to find a change of clothes. After a bit of searching he put on a white tank top, linen button down shirt and a pair of black shorts. With that out of the way he looked out side to see the soft waves hitting the shore just a couple hundred feet away. Peace was all he could think of... for all of two seconds. With a loud sigh he flopped onto the hammock and stared at the ceiling for a minute. “Maybe I’ll play some video games to pass the time.”

Once again he got up and walked towards the small desk in his room. He booted up the computer to find a few game’s icons on the desktop. Iker read each one and thought about his choices, Then his mouse stoped, hovering over a familiar icon, it’s Wos. It’s been at least a year since he’d played the game, a small smile appeared over his face. Memories of Frost watch flicked through his mind. Almost instinctly he pushed the icon to start the game.

He pulled out his VR head set and placed it firmly onto his head, adjusting the headphones and the other controls into their correct places. In a flash he was taken into the world. It was always a rush to suddenly see the world spring into life around him, Even if the word was just simply made of code it always took his breath away. In the corner of the screen a small icon popped up, Current Guild members online...2. He open the menu thinking it was a mistake. Last he’d known Frost watch was one of the most powerful guilds. It couldn’t be possible that it had shrunken to just him and two others.

Íker shook his disbelief away and pressed the locate option in the menu. He started to make his way to the area they were in, thankfully he was pretty close to them. In a few minutes time he saw who could only be PurpleRain. His waves his hands in the air to get the two’s attention and called out to them. “Hey Purple!! And other person!!!”

Before they could answer the Vr’s Screen quickly shut off. Íker looked around him, he could still hear the artificial sounds around himself. It only lasted 30 seconds until his vision came back, only this time everything looked even more realistic. One thing that immediately sent Iker off was the absence of then heat from out side. Instead a soft breeze blew around him, and the sounds were more details then ever. He put his hands up to his head and realized he was no longer holding the Vr controls, or that he had the head set on.

Looking down at him self he realized that his clothes and skin were no longer his character’s, but that of his real body. Looking up to Purple and Cass he realized their appearance had changed as well. “What the fuck is going on?”

While he waited for a reply Spencer would make his way towards the entrance of town, figuring it a good idea to go ahead and position his character there once he did get a reply from someone. Anyone. If Neshampai didn't respond to his private message, which was a very likely scenario, it was no big deal. He would just find the next player down the list and whisper them a similar, if not copy/pasted, message. About half way to the entrance of the town he was in Spencer heard the feint ding, signaling he had in fact gotten a reply. That was quick. And whats more, Neshampai had provided him more information than he had asked for. What a great guy! Seemed those tips on the log in screen weren't just to distract you after all. Hitting the reply button, Spencer would type out “Thanks for the info! :) I plan on grinding there for a few hours. If you need a mid-level Summ/Alch for anything h-” he hit enter by accident, sighing lightly to himself before sending the rest of his message “hit me up” …. yeah, like any high level player would need a mid leveler like himself for anything. Mobs that he found challenging Neshampai could probably sneeze on and kill faster than Spencer.

Bringing up his mount list, Spencer would rub the side of his head. It wasn't an impressive list. A horse mount that every player obtained upon learning to ride, the only horse he had ever managed to tame on his own after learning the riding skill, the first Summoner class specific mount, and the overly priced two horse drawn wagon he had splurged on for carrying large quantities of items at a single time. He wouldn't need it right this moment he knew, since in his mind so few players needed mid level items, but if he could go ahead and get it now it would save him the trouble of having to do it later. None of his mounts were overly impressive, but they got the job done. He had plans on focusing on getting more mounts once he hit max level. Something that was still far out of reach. Summoning his personally tamed horse, an all too common all brown stallion, Spencer would begin to head East towards the forest. If he happened upon either of the dungeons Neshampai mentioned, he banked on there being groups already forming and in need of his summoning skills being there. If there was, great! If not, that wasn't the end of the world.

Spencer had almost made it to the forest's edge when the game suddenly crashed and everything went dark. “Da fuck?” he asked no one in particular, suddenly hearing a mass of voices around him. Strange. Stranger still, he realized after a few seconds, was that he was standing up. He didn't remember standing up. By all counts he should still be laying on his bed with his headgear on, not standing. “See, this is why” he had reached up to rub the side of his face again, stopping when he felt the familiar feel of his facial hair against his hand. That wasn't right. His avatar didn't have facial hair. And even if it did, it wouldn't have had a feeling to it, let alone one this real. As he blinked he was able to see again, Spencer looking down to his hands and then to his surroundings. He was standing in the center of the town of Uwharia, surrounded by a mass of other people. Why wasn't he in his room? Who were all these people? And where in the name of holy hell was he!?! “Da fuck is going on here? Is this some sort of event for the new patch or somethin?” He realized only then that some of the people around him were looking at him, having heard what he had said. Wait. They had heard him? He was sure he had had his mic turned off. Absolutely none of this was making any sense anymore. And even if it were an event, that didn't explain hardly anything. Then something clicked with him. He chuckled when he realized it. That's it. I'm dreaming. I fell asleep playing WoS, and am dreaming. My character is probably running in to a tree right now getting attacked by something. I'll be the laughing stock of the game. Have to make a new character just to be able to show my face in town again.....which means I'll have to buy that two horse wagon again.....fuck me.

|Real Name : Gillian Dermitt | Level : 21 | Day : 0 | Time : 23 : 59 : 39 | Location : Daisy Fields on the Outskirts of Brightmoore |

With the crack of the last round in her ammo pouch, another Imp Knight fell, giving her the experience she needed to level up one more time. She holstered her pistol with a cocky grin. I'm actually kinda starting to like this, she thought, despite still only being able to use one gun at a time, and at this rate, if I do this for eight hours a day, I could be max level within two weeks! She resolved to run towards Brightmoore to buy more bullets; she planned earlier to log out right about now to try out the new content with Lolth, but Gillian knew better than anyone not to break a hot streak. As she turned, she briefly saw another player in the field for not even enough time to read her username before the game seemed to crash.

Sonouvabitch, what bugged bullshit did they patch in this time, she thought, knowing this was about the time the update was to come into full effect. She reached up to her head to remove her headset--as you're normally able to do if a game crashes as a safety feature--but she couldn't feel her headset. Scratch that; she couldn't feel anything. Her arms desperately searched for any sensory information they could possibly get, whether it was from the game or her dorm room. Gillian steadied her breathing to stay calm; the nothingness was strangely claustrophobic to her. Just let me have something, anything, just so I know where I am.

She got her wish, as much as she'd later wish she didn't; she found herself in Uwharia, but the difference the graphics overhaul made was clear as day; the town felt almost as alive as the real world, if not more, though that might have something to do with the hundreds of thousands of players packed into the town. Did everyone get teleported to Uwharia for the update? She raised her hand to scratch her head in confusion, but as she did, she noticed her hand was strangely... effeminate... In an instant, as if struck with a realization, she drew her gun to look in the reflection again, but what looked at her in the reflection was no longer the rugged mug of Murlynd.

Her heart started beating out of her chest as she stared at the gun, looking at a face that was unmistakably her own. Her trembling voice could only muster one word.

"How...?"

Oh. Oh my gosh. Holy crap.
    .

Having grown accustomed to the spawning of players around him, as this was an area which was an active town despite being located in such a low level map, so Alex thought nothing of it when he observed once again a player pop into his field of vision. That is until a voice that tickled his memory made a smart-ass comment on his username. Hardly having a moment to glance up and take in the players avatar, Alex was plunged into darkness. "-Erp!" He exclaimed in surprise as his visual sense seemed to have been cut entirely from his waking state, stopping his practice on the current instrument he held. Oh dear lets hope hes not afraid of the dark.
The sound of confused players rang through his ears, gradually over time he noticed the background music had stopped inviting dare he say realistic nature sounds into his cranium whilst also coaxing many-- MANY other voices clearer than as if spoken through a mic system. How strange, he thought to himself as he suddenly regained his right to vision. What. The. Uh..
Confused as he gazed around, he swore he could smell the food from the market up the path, or feel the texture of the ground beneath his shoes. Shoes..? With a confused glance he noted he was not wearing his luck gatcha patch 1/1005 chance boots, but black Vans that had a scuff of grey. What. Growing panicky his gaze shot up to the voice he had recognized prior to the blackout. Unsure if his initial glance was incorrect he paled, the outfit wasn't part of any purchase in the game-- Scratch that the curly haired girl before him was not the short haired ivory avatar he had seen a glance of prior. In fact, as she spoke he paled further confusion causing him to stutter as he couldn't comprehend just what was going on.
Who? What? Once again he looked at the girl his mind almost audibly whirring as it tried to compute a problem he was not programmed to solve. A sudden click seemed to snap his gaze to her eyes as he squinted at her lips which were speaking to him. His fear growing by the moment, voice shaking as his hands found his buttoned top under his open cardigan, "O-oh.. 세상에.. Heiliger Strohsack."
    "..Jay?"
He almost choked. Poor bunny boy.

What. The. Uh..

Hardly reading through the message that pinged back at her, Darah snickered mutely to herself as she read over the 'hit me up'. "Don't mind if I do." She muttered not worried as her mic, the thin cord attached to her old pleather muff headset, had broken years ago allowing her to remain mute for her time gaming. Beginning to maneuver her avatar back towards her farmland she was to be surprised by the pure majesty of the update that in the very moment as the game time clicked to 12:00 plunged her into darkness.
At first she thought it must be a power outage, that is until she noted that that couldn't be possible. It was still light out and her shades were far from state of the art when it came to light blocking, rather she kept them open until she felt the darkness would crawl inside. No, not a short. Startled she noted that not only had the background music that had become slightly garbled stopped completely but she could feel ground beneath her feet, stone and cold her heel dipping slightly in the presence of a crack beneath it. No longer was she sitting cross legged on her soft worn leather chair hunched over her keyboard sipping her tea. She could hear nature sounds that did not match that of her home, no it was the sound of wind and birds with small leafy trees, not the ocean beating away at the cliff face, not the scratching of a boat against the docs or the creaking of the wood in her aged home.
Suddenly she regained vision, before her was not her computer screen, no she was no longer in the safety of her home but standing in the extremely detailed replica of the town she had visited long ago when she had first began playing this game. Her feet covered only by her fluffy house socks, she realized she was surrounded by others who by looks of it were just as confused as she was. "--going on here? Is this some sort of event for the new patch or somethin?” She glanced over as a voice yelled out over others. "Oh shit." She muttered, pulling her dreads back with her hands shaking as she contained her fear. "Thats the last time I'm getting tea from that old geezer." Her accent rolling off her tongue as she glanced around once more she shook her head, hands still placed atop holding her hair away from her neck as though to cool it off, holding back panic as it began its decent in her brain. "Whatever it is.. Trippy shit."

Violet had the logout menu activated when she was distracted by a familiar beep sound, heralding the entrance of a guild member logging on. It had been so long since she had last heard it that she had to take a moment to remember what it meant.

"Oh, there's... someone online?!"

She opened up the guild member list and found the newcomer.
[K***ME][Location: Silver Lake]

Violet's eyes widened in disbelief. "I think I remember this guy..." she said, the memory slowly coming back. He wasn't one of the original members and had joined during the sunset years of Frost Watch, but he had stuck around until about last year. Although she didn't know him well, the two had messaged each other back and forth and occasionally joined up to complete quests that required more than one person. Even if they hadn't been that close, seeing a Frost Watch member online was a happy sight.

The elvish archer whipped around to see him waving amidst a field of lavender, calling out a greeting to them. She smiled.

Violet was looking up at the sky when her eyes began to see again, though she couldn't remember falling. What was that? A glitch? She sat herself up and realized her arms and legs felt stiff and shaky, like when waking from a nightmare. Cass was where she had stood just a few moments ago, only...

"Cass? Why do you look normal?" Violet asked in confusion.

K***ME seemed to be wondering the same thing, but Violet hadn't seen anything like this in all the years she had been playing WoS. "It...it's probably just a glitch that happened while patching" she said, her own logic calming her down, "Why don't we try logging out and coming back online?" It was the best solution she could think of right now.

Cass shrugged at the mention of another member online, sure her friend had filled her in on the fact that the guild Frost Watch was basically dead but that didn't mean that one of them being on meant anything to her. Again, she wasn't playing this game because she wanted to, it was because Violet had forced her too and she had nothing better to do. "Why do I care that you know this person?" Cass shrugged, she couldn't care less. However Cass's breath got caught in her throat for a moment, a sick feeling filled her stomach(Is that even possible in this?) before leaving a moment later.

Cass blinked confused to what had just happened before noticing something. She was now standing at a slightly taller stature, and she felt the familiar sensation of hair on her neck. She looked down now seeing her stick like figure and a small bump on her chest. "Wait.. wha-" her voice was smooth like normal, not the deep voice it was moments before. Her head then whipped to the side at a familiar voice. "VIOLET! Even if we look the same doesn't mean everyone has to know our names in real life, god!" Cass muttered angrily at the girl, not caring that she basically just called Violet her real name too.

She then turned sour at an unfamiliar voice, "Why the hell would we know, do we look like sever staff?" Cass then looked back at Violet, the only person she really cared what they said. "A free ticket to get off this shittyvideo game? HELL YA! How do I do that VioletRain?" (how could I miss a perfect chance for a pun XD)

Iris Cooper (Beau)
Uwharia - Very confused

Suddenly everything went black for a few moments. Maybe something went wrong with the game? Although she knew there was no point in doing it, Iris turned around, trying to... What? See anything? She obviously couldn't will it to work could she? But she could still feel the surrounding effects and there was a LOT of voices, when did it get so crowded? They had just finish the dungeon right? So how's that possible? A panoply of odours started to overwhelm her senses. Why do I smell grass? Is that food? That's when her vision came back and what she saw as only short of impossible. Iris had to consciously keep her mouth shut. Everything around her looked almost real but somehow that was not the most surprising thing. First she could see a lot of players around her, looking like normal people? Could she even say that? But worst of all she could hear them. And bloody hell did they ever shut up? She could barely think with all the voices and confusion.

Running her hand up her hair she could feel the still damped locks. Holding her breath she looked down and she could see the black leggings and the jumper with the ironic "Me? Sarcastic? Never!" stamp she loved so much. She tried to reach for the headset to log out of this craziness but it was nowhere to be found. "Ok, so we'll deal with that later, for sure. First things first." she muttered to herself, while walking to the middle of the crowd that had gathered in the town god knows why. Whistling as loud as she could she waited for the silence that came with the loud noise she made.

"See, better already. So, something is up. I know everyone is confused but can we please keep it down?" She projected her voice so everyone could hear her without any issue, her british accent thick as ever "Now. Can any of you log out? And let's keep this civil people, one at a time!" She looked around waiting for them to speak up.
