PERSONALITY: Mrs. Patten is a stern, but kind, woman. She is a highly trained psychiatrist and therapist, who is looking to help her patients in any way possible. A very sympathetic person, she tends to be very understand and tolerant of patient behavior. However, if a patient is completely out of line, she does not hesitate to punish them. During therapy sessions, she tends to push patients into sharing more about themselves and their experiences. While this may make it uncomfortable for patients, it helps her learn more about them. This, in turn, helps them recover.

BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Patten, while being a treater of those with mental health problems, is not a stranger to those herself. As a young child, she had severe anxiety and clinical depression. This has helped her become more interested in psychiatry, and also helped her understand her patients more.

Dark clothes, loud music, thick eyeliner, take a guess. Cam tries to replace her worries with music and scars on her skin. She posses many bad habits, but this doesn't make her a bad person. She's only trying to fill a hole inside of her. With body image issues, and suicidal thoughts, Cam isn't the typical girl. Her mind seems to be contradicting her with selfless, agonizing thoughts. Everyone has always seen her as a pushover or toy they could use to get what they wanted, never taking time to ask how she was doing. She picked up chain smoking in the ninth grade, after hanging with the stoners. This is one of her many bad habits, bulimia being her other. Even so, she may be a sweet and innocent looking girl, but her temper gets the best of her when pushed too far. Everyone has their limits, hers are just a little thinner. If even touched, Cam is thrown over the edge and she snaps. One minute she can be come and complacent, but if someone touches her without her consent she runs from them, crying and screaming.

BIOGRAPHY:

With a broken home, and a meth addicted mother with too many boyfriends, Cam always knew she wouldn't be normal. When the girls and boys started making fun of her at school, picking where it hurt, she knew she wasn't normal. Cam knew that she wasn't meant to be here, and believed it with all her heart. No one stopped her, not even her mothers sane-ish boyfriend. When she paced for days in her room, counting again and again the ways she could go out. Counting the marks on her thighs. The burns on her rib cage. The stretch marks. And she tried to be pretty, she really did, but nothing worked for her. Nothing ever would.

In the tenth grade, she attempted to take her life by laying in a warm bath, bleeding, and taking as many of her mothers sleeping pills as she could find. Sadly, her only friend showed up just on time, yelling for someone to call the cops. Her mother heard the word cops and fled with her other meth buddies as soon as they could. She has many secrets of her past, and is not willing to share them with anyone. Cam can hardly stand the sight of her own face.

Disconnection between thoughts, identity, consciousness and memory. All signs of Dissociative Disorder. Gavin will one moment be his normal, quiet and observant self, and the next he could be out of it. Ignoring the world around him, lost in a sort of other reality. He is detached from his emotions, and sometimes almost emotionless. His disorder causes him to have constant burst of depression, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts. Because of this, he tries to avoid being around others, and alone with just his horrible, self destructive thoughts. Another symptom of Dissociative Disorder is a lack of self worth or identity. Gavin is lost in a world all his own, and doesn't know how to get out. One moment he could be quiet, and lost, the next raging in anger, sobbing and breaking things.

When her boyfriend was killed in a freak accident, she knew she would never be able to move on. Her heart is forever broken, and everyone can read it. Even when she is smiling as bright as day.

A just out of college graduate. She majored in Abnormal Psychology; Study of The Brain, and got a bachelors in child development. Frankie accomplished all of this all while going through nursing school taking care of her little sister, Amelia. PERSONALITY: A once happy young girl, Jade is now plagued by depression. She normally keeps to herself, too afraid to trust anyone. Though, if you're lucky enough, you can see how creative and questioning she is. Jade loves to have long philosophical talks with close friends. She has a way at looking at the world that not many people had. Jade loves to make puns, but is too afraid to put herself out there to do these things. She sulks in silence, unable to do what she wants.


BIOGRAPHY: Jade grew up like any normal girl: playing with her friends, doing well in school, loving life. That is until her mother died suddenly from cancer. This was when Jade was 10, just at the time where she would need a mom. She became more distant, grieving her lose. Unfortunately, her father took the pain he felt out on Jade. Her father would beat her and blame her for her mothers death. In order to get out the sexual frustration he felt, he would use Jade as a vessel. Jade was haunted by her father, and yet no one would believe her. She finally lashed out one day and stabbed her father, nearly killing him.

PERSONALITY: Windy is an awkward child, and it doesn't help that she is at the preteen stage in her life. She is always paranoid about everything and everyone, especially things she has never experienced, such as sleeping in a new bed or eating with a new fork. In fact, in order to calm her fears, her mother has made sure small aspects of home are available in all the rooms Windy may enter during her stay. The female is like any other girl, sometimes... She enjoys reading teen fiction books, eating junk food, and brushing her hair. It's not her fault she is so odd; normal children don't hear people saying things they never said. With people, Windy is usually calm at first, distancing herself until she learns if you are good or bad. She finds most people to be bad. Windy is convinced everyone wants her dead, and she believes people are constantly following her, begging her to kill herself. Sometimes it isn't so extreme, such as being offended by a stranger looking at her or not forgiving someone for calling her the wrong name. It's strange, really, how her disease has become her personality. Her mother claims Windy was such a happy infant.

BIOGRAPHY: Windy was barely born into the world, as her biological mother was a heavy drinker and had passed out on the concrete dozens of times during the pregnancy. Maybe the female would have been "normal", if that was different. Either way, the girl started off with a fighting chance; her aunt was located by a social worker two days after her birth. Her aunt and uncle had always wanted children, and had no idea her sister was even in the country; it seemed that the three were meant to be a family. Windy's childhood was a cliche, mini-van-owning, BBQ-having dream. Her adoptive parents were always able to give her everything she ever wanted, but Windy stopped asking for toys at the age of five. She simply didn't want change. She would mumble to herself and avoid the neighborhood children, but this was seen as normal behavior for an only child. Some days she would keep to herself, while others she would play with her friends, as normal. The girl's symptoms gradually became worse until she would become violent, kicking and biting her parents, claiming they wanted to harm her. Just like the other symptoms, sometimes the girl was kind and regretful, while others she was full of hatred. The family hide their child's behavior, attempting to home-school her and put her or a variety of odd diets. When Windy was nine, help was finally called, and her illness was diagnosed, but her father left. Something about seeing his child with a label of "mentally ill" frightened the man, so he fled, never contacting the two females again.

Since then, Windy has been on several different medications, and they keep changing every few weeks as none seemed to work. Eventually, her mother discovered the girl was hiding the pills under her tongue and spitting them out later on. The girl was verbally, if not physically, abusive to those around her, claiming they want her to die. She would go several days fine, and then, bam, she would begin feeling threatened again. Several times, the child was found harming herself with nails or pieces of wood she had found about her room. Andy is quiet, yet loud. She knows that most things aren't real, so she doesn't speak. No one has ever tried become friends with her, and that's where Luke comes in (or that's what her therapist says). Luke is in love with Andy, he's very possessive and will do anything to make sure that no one takes her away from him. Andy doesn't love Luke, but she has no one else to go to--he has always been there for her. She's lonely. She's tired of feeling numb, she wants to be/feel loved.

Andy lived that perfect rich-only child life. Her mother was a homemaker and her father owned a major business. Andy was homeschooled after her diagnosis with schizophrenia; she was never around other children aside from her relatives. Luke. Luke has put Andy through hell and she hates him for that. She hates him for making her kill her parents. She hates him for everything he's done. But she loves him-Luke doesn't leave her. Luke listens. Luke cares about her.

Her father would beat her and blame her for her mothers death. In order to get out the sexual frustration he felt, he would use Jade as a vessel. Jade was haunted by her father, and yet no one would believe her. She finally lashed out one day and stabbed her father, nearly killing him.

PERSONALITY: Windy is an awkward child, and it doesn't help that she is at the preteen stage in her life. She is always paranoid about everything and everyone, especially things she has never experienced, such as sleeping in a new bed or eating with a new fork. In fact, in order to calm her fears, her mother has made sure small aspects of home are available in all the rooms Windy may enter during her stay. The female is like any other girl, sometimes... She enjoys reading teen fiction books, eating junk food, and brushing her hair. It's not her fault she is so odd; normal children don't hear people saying things they never said. With people, Windy is usually calm at first, distancing herself until she learns if you are good or bad. She finds most people to be bad. Windy is convinced everyone wants her dead, and she believes people are constantly following her, begging her to kill herself. Sometimes it isn't so extreme, such as being offended by a stranger looking at her or not forgiving someone for calling her the wrong name. It's strange, really, how her disease has become her personality. Her mother claims Windy was such a happy infant.

BIOGRAPHY: Windy was barely born into the world, as her biological mother was a heavy drinker and had passed out on the concrete dozens of times during the pregnancy. Maybe the female would have been "normal", if that was different. Either way, the girl started off with a fighting chance; her aunt was located by a social worker two days after her birth. Her aunt and uncle had always wanted children, and had no idea her sister was even in the country; it seemed that the three were meant to be a family. Windy's childhood was a cliche, mini-van-owning, BBQ-having dream. Her adoptive parents were always able to give her everything she ever wanted, but Windy stopped asking for toys at the age of five. She simply didn't want change. She would mumble to herself and avoid the neighborhood children, but this was seen as normal behavior for an only child. Some days she would keep to herself, while others she would play with her friends, as normal. The girl's symptoms gradually became worse until she would become violent, kicking and biting her parents, claiming they wanted to harm her. Just like the other symptoms, sometimes the girl was kind and regretful, while others she was full of hatred. The family hide their child's behavior, attempting to home-school her and put her or a variety of odd diets. When Windy was nine, help was finally called, and her illness was diagnosed, but her father left. Something about seeing his child with a label of "mentally ill" frightened the man, so he fled, never contacting the two females again.

Since then, Windy has been on several different medications, and they keep changing every few weeks as none seemed to work. Eventually, her mother discovered the girl was hiding the pills under her tongue and spitting them out later on. The girl was verbally, if not physically, abusive to those around her, claiming they want her to die. She would go several days fine, and then, bam, she would begin feeling threatened again. Several times, the child was found harming herself with nails or pieces of wood she had found about her room.
