Scott Anderson
Scott Anderson

Alias(s): n/A (unofficially Mr Sparky)

Real Name: Scott Anderson

Nickname(s): n/A

Age: 23

Place of Birth: Toronto, Canada

Base of Operations: Central Park, New York City, New York

Nationality: Filipino-Canadian

Alignment: Chaotic Good

Team Affiliation (optional): n/A

Species: Mutant

Physical Appearance: Scott is 5'11, weighs 175 lbs, tanned skin, short fringed black hair, slim and slightly muscular. Scott also has heterochromia, with his left eye hazel, while the other eye is blue. His blue eye may also glow due to his electricity powers. He wears special glasses that hide this after a bullying incident at a young age, reverting both of his eyes to brown. Only his family (parents deceased and sister missing) and his close friend, Hisako, and her father Rokuda know of this.

Costumed Appearance: n/A

Relationship(s)/Family:

  • Pedro Sotto (father, deceased)
  • Brooklyn Anderson (mother, deceased)
  • Sarah Anderson (younger sister, missing)
  • Hisako Ayashi (close friend/roommate/protégé)
  • Rokuda Ayashi (Hisako's father, friend)
  • Maki Ayashi (Hisako's mother, friend, deceased)
Powers:

  • Electricity Generation: Scott can generate electricity without having to look for sources of electricity.
  • Electrokinetic Flight: Scott can fly, glide and levitate through manipulation of electricity, allowing himself to fly at different speeds, and propel himself with an enhanced jump with a short burst of electricity.
  • Electricity Attacks: Scott can release/use electricity for various attacks, such as hand blasts, creating electric bombs, close-quarters combat etc.
  • Electrical Infusion: Scott can infuse electricity with his melee attacks, allowing to deal more damage with a chance of shocking his opponents. However, he almost never uses too much, using enough to incapacitate his opponent unless otherwise.
  • Electrical Transportation/Teleportation: Scott has the ability to teleport himself via electrons in the air at will, though he only uses it when necessary, and can only teleport short distances.
  • Defibrillation: As he has the power of electricity, Scott can use it to restart the heart of another being. Will only work if the heart has not been shot, stabbed, or separated from the body.
  • Electric Conductivity/Electric Heating: Scott can conduct, heat, and/or charge objects with electricity.
  • Electricity Solidification: Scott can manipulate electrons to solidify the electricity, with the level of solidity going from loose jelly to metal-like hardness or beyond. However, he only uses this power to give to whoever he meets and trusts a solidified ball of electricity, using this more as a gift giver than to fight.
  • Electrical Pull: Scott can create a tether-like electric rope that clings to objects through magnetic or electrostatic attraction and can be used to hoist one's self to destinations, or pull objects towards him.
  • Electrical Grinding: Scott can channel the electricity under his feet to grind across electrical power lines and poles, as well as on metal structures.
  • Electrical Shield Constructs: Scott can create an electric shield, similar shape to riot police shields, to defend himself or others from bullet fire.
Skills/Abilities:

  • Unique Fighting Style: Scott was taught karate by his late father as a child. On top of that, he also uses moves he's seen in wrestling and movies, however, despite all that, he thinks of himself as a brawler type, jumping into a fight and punching anything that moves.
  • Enhanced Stamina: Scott has been trained by his father on how to exert himself without tiring for longer periods. After his parents' death, he continued to learn how to sustain himself, up to the point where he would be able to stay up a couple days at a time, mostly thanks to the electricity flowing through him.
  • Peak Human Durability: Due to his brawler mentality, he isn't afraid to get himself beat up. Thanks to his father's guidance, his body can almost sustain pain at the peak of human limits, but it still leaves him with bruises and scars.
  • Instrumentalist: Though it is unrelated to combat, his mother taught him how to play the guitar when he was a child, before learning how to play bass and drums later in life.
Weapons/Gadgets:

  • Cherry Blossom Communicator Necklace: Given to him by Rokuda, this allows him to communicate with Hisako, who is unable to speak any other language except Japanese.
Weaknesses:

  • Scott can lose his powers if submerged in water (excludes rain, to which Scott doesn't even know why) to water and his powers are activated, how long his powers are lost depend on the amount of time he's spent in the water.
  • If Scott exerts too much of his power, it may ultimately kill him or cause him to lose his powers.
  • Scott may make decisions that may be questionable towards other heroes or the public.
Likes: Rock/Punk/Metal music, some pop, rap and electronic music, video games, taking walks, exploring New York City, hot chocolate, wrestling

Dislikes: People who shove their opinions in his face, posh people, the government/authorities, most forms of Pop/Rap music, the name the public gave him

Personality: Despite been alone for almost 9 years, Scott is hesitant to work with other superpowered beings, preferring to work alone. He is rather talkative when battling crime, whether trying to converse with the criminal or making terrible puns, jokes and pop culture references. He is usually open about his personal life and the events that happened before him, and doesn't not care if his face is shown to the world since stopping first crime. Sometimes he battles without his costume, being very carefree about exposing himself to the world when he first started using his powers for good. Also at times, he can be really childish, or flirtatious, depending on who he's with. However, he can become real protective of those he truly cares about, while also keeping the public away from danger. Sometimes in tense situations, he will do his best to talk things out diplomatically, before actually engaging in a fight.

Origin: Scott was born to Pedro Sotto, a former karate competitor, and Brooklyn Anderson, a virtuoso, particularly in music. He was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, as well as his sister, Sarah Anderson, who was born 5 years after him. It was mostly a quiet life for Scott and his family, however when he was around 7 years old, he witnessed a small group of slightly older boys harassing another boy around his age. He attempted to protect the boy, but ended up getting beaten up alongside the bullied boy. His father had noticed this, so he shooed them away, before tending to both 7 year olds. Pedro then took it upon himself to train Scott to defend himself, teaching him various techniques and such for 7 years; during that time he watched a lot of wrestling and boxing, so he adopted different move-sets from watching that. Over the years of going to school and such, he had sworn to protect the little guy ever since, stopping bullies from ever hurting other people.

14 was the age Scott had begun to manifests his powers. It began during his second year of middle school. He noticed another group of people harassing another student, this time it was a girl his age. Of course, it was only natural of him to rush over and make quick work of him, but then his electrical powers had manifested mid-battle, inadvertently shocking one of the bullies. Scott, distraught, rushed home from school that day. It soon began to spread on the news that Scott had 'attempted' to murder another student, which caused the public living in his area to turn on him. One night, protesters had broken into their home, destroying and burning down their property, inadvertently killing Scott's parents, however his sister was nowhere to be seen after the protesters broke into their home. This caused the young Scott so much distress and rage, he soon began to lash out against the public, using his powers to blast anyone that destroyed the household. Luckily for him, no one was seriously hurt, but Scott was scared. Even though he has lost everything, he remembered swearing to himself that he is to protect the helpless, not harm them. However, he ran away from his own hometown, heading south of the Canadian border, which took him months, if not a year or two. He was now declared a dangerous individual in Canada, and promised himself to never, ever go back, no matter how much he valued his now-hostile home country.

Over the next several years, Scott began to train himself, moving from location to location, finding ways various ways to survive out in the cold and dangerous world, and avoiding the authorities eventually reaching the United States of America at age 17. He kept on doing the same things he did before coming to America, whilst also staying away from law enforcement and from anyone he could pose a dangerous threat to. However, one night, a small robbery had taken place in the form of a woman's purse getting snatched, right in front of Scott's eyes. He knew he shouldn't intervene, but he did anyway, revealing his true self when he electro-pulled the robber back towards them, before giving her purse back to the woman. He took the robber to the nearest police station later, leaving him there to get apprehended after dropping him off immediately. He continued helping the public, no matter how big or small the problem was, for the next several years; since then, he's become known as the mysterious, yet selfless individual who goes out of his way to help whoever is in need...

  • Hisako is vulnerable to actual poisons or toxins.
  • Hisako can get lost in a crowd easily due to her height.

  • Hisako may exert herself if using too much of her power.
Likes: Hello Sleepwalkers (band), Food, Cats, Action Movies, Melodic Electronic Music, Relaxing Video Game Music, Video Games, Superheroes

Dislikes: Heavy Metal, Being Sappy, Romantic Movies, Alcohol, Unwanted Attention

Personality: Hisako is a curious person by nature, leading her to ask questions ranging from the most general to personal, the latter which annoys the person she's talking to most of the time. She's also a bit of a tomboy, as she hung out with boys most of the time. She isn't quick to trust people easily. Hisako can be a bit of a stubborn person sometimes. She was taught by her mother to keep calm at all times, though sometimes she forgets about it. Hisako will reject any flirtatious advancement towards her, resulting in her verbally berating or slapping the flirter.

Origin: Hisako Ayashi was born in Tokyo, Japan. As a young girl and even to this day, she had always idolised superheroes. She lived in Japan for some of her life, until moving to the United States of America a few years later, specifically in New York, where she attends Midtown Science High. Nothing exciting has happened since the move, until almost 3 years ago.

It was a simple class exercise, where each student would be assessed on how well they can conduct an experiment from a pre-set list chosen by the teacher. It all went wrong for Hisako, causing a minor explosion in which she was covered in the chemicals she was working with. Someone sitting close to her had also been splashed by the chemicals as well, leaving small non-severe burns on his skin as well as Hisako, so both students were sent to the med-bay to clean themselves up.

Hisako was cleaned up, though not without some small burns left by the chemicals, while the other was waiting to get patched up. Hisako walked to the boy also with small burns, asking if he was okay, unintentionally making skin-on-skin contact via each other's arms, which then healed the boy's burns as the two were conversing. The nurse was surprised seeing the boy having no burn marks on his skin, as she had seen him come in with them. The boy and Hisako were just as surprised as the nurse, and soon went back to class. Everything was back to normal, but Hisako had many questions. How had the boy's skin healed? Did he have superpowers? Or did she have superpowers herself?

Although she decided against it, Hisako revealed her powers to her parents. Her father, Rokuda, was ecstatic but hesitant, as well as her mother Maki, to let her out into the world... till they met a man with electric powers, who was also Hisako's idol ever since she moved to America, agreeing to train her how to defend herself and teach her the ways of being a superhero...

  • Mrs Yukimura (Yukiko's mother, mentor)

Powers:

  • Snow/Ice Generation: Yukiko can generate snow and ice from her hands at will.

  • Cryokinetic/Frigokinetic Telekinesis: Yukiko can move and lift ice and snow telekinetically.
  • Frigokinetic Surfing: As surfing is one of her hobbies, Yukiko has mastered the ability to create and manipulate a wave of snow for extra maneuverability.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Enhanced Combat: Yukiko was trained by her father, who is a retired high ranking officer in Japan's military and now the chairman of the Japan Superhuman Program who taught her Karate. In the following years, she quickly learnt how to master some other forms of martial arts in Japan such as Aikido and Jujutsu.
  • Ribbon Dancing: Throughout her childhood until selected as part of a superhuman program in Japan to train her to use her powers, Yukiko was widely known in her hometown for her exceptional ribbon dancing skills, taught by her mother, who was a retired well-known ribbon dancer in Japan. She has since implemented the ribbon dance style in her own fighting style.
  • Archery Proficiency: As a child, Yukiko always had a fascination in archery. Her parents would take her to places where the Kyūdō martial art was practiced, before being taught it herself. She almost always exclusively uses a bow and arrow as her main weapon, having near-enhanced accuracy, barely missing her targets.
  • Bilingual: As of joining Japan's superhuman program, Yukiko was required to speak English as well as Japanese, in which she quickly picked up on.

  • Binoculars
  • Radio Earpiece
  • x50 Broadhead Arrows
  • x35 Broadhead Armor-Piercing Tip Arrows
  • x10 Explosive Tip Arrows
  • x10 Incendiary Tip Arrows
  • x5 Rope Arrows

Weaknesses:

  • Yukiko's pure belief in the law system will often clash with choices she will be forced to make, which may involve breaking a law or two.
  • Yukiko's attempts to try and include everyone can cause her to stress out, sometimes losing focus on what she's meant to be doing.
  • Conversely, Yukiko may focus on the mission too much, unknowingly becoming reckless in her attempt to complete a mission.

Likes: Surfing, Ribbon dancing, Soft pop music, Archery, Including people (or tries to)

Dislikes: People who disrespect the law, Excluding people, Metal music, Uncooperativeness, Breaking the law

Personality: Yukiko has a very bubbly, fun personality, but this is well hidden behind a confident and serious one. Born with a militaristic and political background, she believes that the law is right, no matter how suspicious it may, and will often feel guilt for breaking any law in any location she's in. Yukiko prefers working with a team rather than by herself, as she believes that working together strengthens trust between each other, and will also provide her teammates with opportunities to teach future generations on how to tolerate and work with each other. She cares deeply for her teammates, and may share a bond with one person she feels extremely close with. However, Yukiko may lose sight of the mission at hand and vise versa, potentially putting her teammates at serious risk.

Origin: Yukiko Yukimura was born on June 16th, 1997 in Sapporo, on the island of Hokkaido. Yukiko's mother was a professional ribbon dancer, retiring due to her pregnancy; her father is a high-ranking officer in the Japan Ground Self-Defence Force. Her powers had been developing since she was in the womb, as a result of her mother's hereditary gene that grants the younger generation the power to control one of the many elements, though only few with such powers existed in her mother's bloodline. In this instance, Yukiko was born with snow and ice powers, though they hadn't fully manifested until she turned two.

Her parents knew of these strange genetics while the mother was pregnant, which led to the creation of the Japan Superhuman Program, or simply JSP, under the leadership of Yukiko's father, who believed that people with extraordinary abilities can shape the world into a better place, as he had heard of beings with such abilities around the world.

Rather than put her in the training program straight away, the parents waited until she was 12 years old, in which during that time Yukiko taught herself a little about how to use her powers, using it to create magnificent shows in her hometown, showcasing her ribbon dancing ability, under the tutelage of her mother for much of her childhood, as well as showing what she can do with her powers, while gliding around on snow.

Once she was of age, she spent most of her life training to control her powers better, as well as learning normally through a school system established and making new friends within the program. Her grades were among the highest of students, and graduated by the age of 18.

Yukiko, now going by her chosen codename, Snow Arrow, fresh out of the academy, joined S.H.I.E.L.D., determined to become a hero people can look up to...

  • Mixed Fighting Styles: Emily's fighting styles mainly consists of wrestling moves, boxing and some forms of martial arts.

She loves a good fight, and is most likely to dive into a fight head-on, much to the dismay of others she fights alongside with (or joy, depending on who she's with). She's a party-girl; no matter what she was doing or where she was, Emily is always down to throw or attend a party, whether she's invited or not. She's also reckless as well, but she is not one to care about what happens to the other people or the environment around her. Emily loves being the center of attention, and will get to the limelight no matter what, even if it means betraying others. If one betrays her however, Emily will be heartbroken, and will often kill the person(s) who betrayed her the next time she sees them.

Origin: Not much is known about Emily's past. All she remembers is her full name, she was born on July 1st, 1995, and she's American. Nothing else. Not her parents, not her hometown, not anything. A result of illegal human experimentation, which in turn bleached her skin, turned her eyes white, her hair a purple-like colour, having enhanced durability and the ability to generate grenades from her hands, and removing almost everything she remembers.

The only other thing that she remembers is that she's a mercenary-for-hire. Emily earned herself the nickname, "The Boss", known for taking the lead in crime operations when paid to do so. Currently, she's running solo in New York City, but isn't afraid to cause a bit of destruction when she's not on a job...

  • Bryce Michael Zurowski (son)
  • Mica Jai Nelson (girlfriend, deceased)
  • John Michael Zurowski (father, deceased)
  • Sally Zurowski (mother, deceased)
  • Grace McKenna (neè Zurowski) (sister)

Powers: n/A

Skills/Abilities:

  • MCMAP: A mixture of martial arts to create one fighting style, blending boxing, jujitsu and judo. James learnt this fighting style during his time in the U.S Marine Corps.
  • Firearms: Due to his time in the U.S. Marine Corps, James trained extensively with handling firearms properly, however, his strongest weapons to use in a gunfight are usually pistols and shotguns.
  • Crowbar Proficiency: In his troubled youth, James always favoured using the crowbar, even during his time in the army, as well as using it in a world where super-powered individuals reside. He is able to use the crowbar at its best. He deems it similar to using a baton, however he much favours the crowbar over anything else, even to the point where he would make weapons using a crowbar as a base.
  • Master Mechanic: James served as a mechanic while in the army. He loved vehicles and electronics as a child, and grew up wanting to become a mechanic. He has a deep understanding of electronics and the mechanics that make vehicles work, and is able to fix up engines of cars, trucks and bikes.
  • Weapon Crafting: While serving, James picked up a knack for building weapons out of his one crowbar, using car parts, gun parts, or whatever was lying around in the vehicle tent. Nowadays, he keeps a large storage of crowbars hidden in a warehouse near his home in Brooklyn, and generally spends time building new weapons with vehicle or weapon parts with the crowbar serving as a base.
  • Vehicle Intuition: Growing up with cars and bikes in his life, he was taught by friends on how to drive a car and a bike, taking the skills he learnt while in the army. He worked his way to becoming one of the best drivers there, mostly an expert in cars, bikes, and trucks.

  • Crowbar
  • Electric-powered crowbar
  • Custom pistol with a crowbar base
  • Custom shotgun with a crowbar base
Weaknesses:

  • James has a hard time explaining technical terms or remembering names of parts.
  • James sometimes gets too in over his head, getting himself into trouble for himself or worse.
  • James sometimes gets indecisive, especially about major decisions that affect him and anyone he knows or trusts.
  • James has a fear of heights.
  • James is prone to emotional outbursts if anyone threatens his son’s life or if his wife's name is mentioned mockingly.
Likes: His son, solitude, fixing/working on vehicles, drinking, quietness, classic movies, working on new weapons/gadgets

Dislikes: Being involuntarily involved, anyone who would go for him and his son, the authorities

Personality: James is a very grounded, down to Earth person. He doesn't ask for much, and is rather seclusive about his life. James doesn't commit crimes just for fun or to become rich, instead he tries to support himself, while also trying to set an example for his son as best as he can, despite his criminal ways. Sometimes he may team up with someone when the situation depends on it, mostly teaming with heroes as opposed to villains, although he doesn’t openly trust anyone.

Origin: James was born in Brooklyn, New York, albeit in the rough parts of Brooklyn, to John and Sally Zurowski; his sister Grace born a couple years later. His parents tried to do the best they could to sustain themselves, however, his mother became too obsessed and abusive, while his father eventually gave up. This led to many fights within between them, however James only escape was leaving his rundown apartment in the night while his parents were asleep, and went on to experience Brooklyn himself at the age of 10.

He had gotten himself into trouble many times, especially when hanging with the wrong people, and sometimes involved himself in the fights between his parents, choosing to stand up for himself rather than fight for one or the other. Initially, he did look up to superheroes, with Spider-Man being his biggest idol. Each day, he prayed that one day something good will come, and the heroes will come and help, but they never did. It left him bittersweet towards them, unable to trust his life in the hands of superheroes, but chose to stay in the grey whilst the many battles of the classic hero vs. villain took place. It didn't help that all the major players in his time slowly died off by the 2000's.

After finishing high school, he immediately went enlist in the army to get away from his parents, and took part in the Second Gulf War, earning the name "Crackerjack Jim" due to how well he can fix up vehicles, meeting his future love, Mica, during his time in the field. However, an incident between James and Mica, and handful of "idiot soldiers" occurred, which resulted in Mica's death and James' discharge. That same night however, just before her passing at a medical tent at one of their outposts in Afghanistan, she gave birth to a son, Bryce, in 2007. James and his newborn were sent home, however Bryce was sent under the care of his younger sister and her husband in Queens.

In the years since James was sent back, he began a life of crime, only to try and support himself. At the suggestion of his sister, however, he has opened up a garage, where he can also try to support himself instead of commit felonies, however, James always ends up back in his old habits, whether he wants to or not...
