In the not-too-far future of Earth, dimensional rifts began to tear open on the planet. Monsters poured out of some, while friendly beings came in from the others. After a few years, Humans and Otherbeings (Those who came from or are descended from beings from another world) had radically reformed Earth, propelling technology, the environment, and living conditions forward twofold.

However, all was not well - rifts still opened, and monsters spilled out of the majority of them by this time. A way to destabilize rifts was developed - though it needed to be administered in the other world. As such, the DSTF was formed - the Dimensional Stability Task Force. In addition to travelling through rifts and shutting the by destabilizing the core, they also combat monsters that spill over. Their final task is to investigate and combat dimensional terrorism, as there are groups that utilize the weak dimension barrier for their own ends.

Player characters would be agents of the DSTF (ranging from rookie to veteran) and would utilize advanced technology (which may or may not seem advanced) as well as special abilities (like natural magic, or biokinetic implants) to keep the peace on both Earth, and in the other dimension.

So I wanted to get us started with making a team! Currently I was thinking of being a rookie mechanic/skirmisher with a hoverboard. What are you all thinking?

I already got some character ideas for now:
-A medic private first class equipped with a shield who uses light based equipment in order to blind foes and has a healing device:

-A Sergeant assault robot who mostly uses fire based weaponry in order to clear zones

-A big ol tank bot with a personal energy shield on its body, and is capable of generate an energy shield in front of him:

-A infiltrator / close combat specialist who specializes in forms of martial arts and has the ability to create semi-physical clones that can attack and will be destroyed if damaged enough:

Probably will make a telekinesist with guns or a mutant with electrogenesis implant.

Leaning female berserker with a big ass sword as her primary weapon and a cybernetic arm and leg. She'll probs be somewhat the noble knight type personality wise.

Just gotta find suitable art.

I usually tend to lean towards more medic-based/support characters; so I may run with that!

 

[Breadman]

I am debating between 3 ideas of characters to play as.

A) A big amazonian punch woman with augmented fists or gauntlets. Wrestling moveset is very much a part of this.
B) A necromancer type character that while working with dark magic, is channeling it to be used against the invaders. He may or may not be very grumpy.
C) A robot support unit, that due to a factory error has a murder-bot personality chip in it, but he's saying kill-phrases while he's administering medicine.

I’m thinking of either using the Light using Medic who blinds foes or the Fire based assault bot, but trying to figure out who to choose between the two. But I need to know more, such as the fact that only Solo’s are allowed or is Duo’s allowed as well MythyDW
