Fantasy Drawing RP

Well, a school can be part of the world, but i want it to be an open world kind of a thing. If some people want a school centered rp, they are totally open to it.


For me, i am thinking of a forest and an urban place for now (Think like modern Middle Earth lol). As the rp goes along, i will open up the world for people to go on missions and what not.


For people who still wants to be part of my rp but wants their character to be in a school, I will have a school in place, but I might mix it up that the building serves both as educational and training area for the young characters and a goverment building/ or important facility (a religious (fictional) maybe) for older characters to get involved.


 
Wait, i might change modern to pre-industrial.


And another note, regarding to NPCs, I will be play them. So things won't fly off thr handle. But that may can as the rp goes.

But it sounds like it won't have that much mecha, then I again I could be wrong, but everything sounds liek it'll encompass all of what we were after. Kudos Trip.T.T.


By pre-industrial do you mean like 19th century type deal, or kinda like post-apoc. type tech and living?

I would like a fairy tale like feeling to it, but maybe I can have the setting as a post-apoc. Acient giant city, abandoned and broken by time and nature. Oh shot, this rp was suppose to be a simple thing hahaha.


At the start i might tone things down, or else I might have a hard time keeping track of things. This my first time hosting a rp after all, hahaha.

Sorry folks for the hold up. Making up an original world is complicated hahah. Oh man, I hope it is not too abstract.


For CS, I think I will make it pretty simple. No background/bio (but that can totally be told during the rp, like a snippet of the character's life), but personality will be needed and the character's strength and worries.


I still have a little bit more thing to do before make a thread, but how about a sneak peek?

Why does school and fantasy elements have to be put in? I think it would be better to just focus on the drawing aspect of the roleplay instead of adding new elements just for the sake of it. Anyways, I like the concept and I would be intrested in joining a roleplay.

@Vynaz: focusing on the drawing is the idea, but I also want some focus on plot and story to ground this rp. Adding a school and fantasy elements aren't bad things, but I hope the focus on the rp is not just the school. A wide age group is encouraged, but children do have limited freedom (no super babies or whatever).


The art scene can be however the artist wants to be; doodles, sketches, line art, coloured, painted, whatever. Rping is suppose to be fun, whether it is in writing or drawing. However, for the character sheet, I want the character picture to be fullbody at least. Some colour would be nice. Extras are up to the rper's choice. If there are other notes need to be taken for your character, just write it in their sheet.


((Lol i shouldnt be writing too much for the cs, oh well.))


Traditional media is a-okay, but make sure that the picture is clear able the drawing is clear to read. Try to avoid using lined paper, please.


@yonmita rae: I think MSpaint have a resize thing. It's not the best in the world but if you don't have art/photo software, like gimp, paint.net, PS, or Paint tool sai, MSpaint is there to use. Unless yoy are a applw user, then I have no idea how to help :/

What I'm looking forward to is the having other people critique and help improve my art. Giving others advice and receiving advice is, afterall, one of the best ways to improve your skills, alongside actually drawing of course.

@AlphaDraco: right, good point. I forgot about that. Hopefully the criticism will be a fair and respected thing.


To avoid conflit, i may even up ask rpers if they want to receive critiques and what not.


Another thing that was in my mind, i was thinking maybe allowing regular players to join. Its just a thought, and I wonder what other people think. Remember not all replies need an art scene.

They get to draw whatever they want, whenever they want. Intro should have a picture though. Other than that u guys are free to do whatever

Is there any thoughts for non drawing rpers? If there is no, i might open the rp for all, but i will expect more writings for non drawers. All drawings must b made by the rpers.

I'm cool with having non drawers, though since there are others drawing we don't want the rp to be too fast paced where we can't draw as much.

Yeah, there may be some problems with the rp going tooo fast, i might put a "reserve a spot for maybe... an hpur or so" thing after intros, or maybe not and have people talk to each other in OOC chat. I dont want to have too much rules and conflicting rules too.
