So here is a more long-term roleplay I had in mind and believe me it's rather lengthy and has a decent bit of lore. I hope to get FEEDBACK if anyone is interested.

lore Of Draloic:

Dranoic is a nation of several different islands that take place on a very small planet all on it's own. However, instead of a sun or another island at the center, there is a vortex of powerful dark energy that can be used as a portal of sorts. For thousands of years, the energy was raw and unattainable, all who have tried to tap into it were consumed and all who attempted settlement on the island were eaten by the dragons. However, the first Emperor changed all of that when he and a band of powerful warriors who utilized their magic to fly themselves up to the islands.

Fighting their way through the dragons to the Vortex, the First Emperor chained the Dark Energy down with the power of his entire being. The chains being very literal, as one can still observe to this day the Dark vortex and the many iron chains that surround it and contain its darkness. The Dragons, over time, became more and more docile the longer the Dark energy was secured. The more tame they became, the more intelligent they became as well. Now, the man who chained his being was Alenthar named 'the First Emperor' and exists immortalized in history as the founder of the kingdom.

Dragons are not generally bred for war. Protection or simple transportation are found abundantly in the crystal wilds where the more untamed roam. They do not attack humans, instead they feed off the power of the crystals themselves that serve as catalysts for magic. Unless provoked, a Dragon will never attack another living being.

Magic in Draloic

Magic is an integral part of everyday life in Draloic. Farmers use magic to grow shards that, can taste almost like anything. Riders use Magic to ride their dragons with a reservoir of magical energy for them to draw upon the midst of a battle to heal their comrades. Citizens use magic to do almost anything, from checking if coins are of a legitimate metal quality to storing cold, imported foods.

Dragons In Draloic

Dragons are special in that no two dragons are alike, not even remotely. When Dragons are bred, it can never be predicted as to what kind of Dragon is produced. The type of dragons in existence have no limits. Their colors limitless. Their diversity limitless. Their power limitless. Dragons can live for thousands of years without exception and don't stop growing, however the amount of Dragons over a thousand still living amounts to two. One of which, a Dragon known only as 'the ancient,' sits sleeping behind the palace of Draloic. It has been confirmed that he is dormant in a metamorphosis stage. What he is turning into, no man can say.

The other, known as 'Death Ni'Kraal,' guards an island completely covered in snow and ice. Death Ni'Kraal is assumed to be the cause of a massive snowstorm that consumes the uninhabitable island at all times. Whenever the storm clears, a party of Dragon Huntsman is organized to hunt him, but they never return. In more recent years, the current Emperor has considered stopping the Hunting parties as the Dragon has made no move to leave his island.

Anyone can get a Dragon, although it must be acquired from the government, even non-citizens. However, the punishments for mistreatment of a Dragon is death, assuming the Dragon does not devour the rider first. If the Rider and the Dragon form a close enough connection over a long period of time, the Dragon's instincts will begin to force themselves into the thoughts of the Rider, and vice versa. While this can be very useful in that a Dragon Rider could theoretically direct and control his Dragon with his mind, this also means that a weak minded Rider could be overtaken by his dragon's stronger mind and be used as what is called a 'puppet rider.'

Dragons often bond to one person and one person only, if their person passes on, as does happen either in battle or old age, the Dragon will make the choice to travel to the Dragon Grave and allow his own life to pass on, or he will be taken in by the Military to be retrained. If the Dragon allows retraining and re-bonding, which is rare, then the skills the Dragon learned from their last Rider are passed on and both the Rider and the Dragon itself are improved tenfold when their minds begin to join together.

Citizens

Although they refer to themselves as "human," the inhabitants of Draolic, Draolicenites as they are called by outsiders. They are, in reality, a hybrid of elf and human that cannot use magic without an outside source. Their long bloodline of living in close proximity to the Dark Vortex has disabled their ability to harness magic without a shard. While the Catalyst does not necessarily need to be a Crystal, it must be extremely powerful in order to contain the extreme magical abilities.

It is not that they cannot use Magic, it is that the Vortex long ago deafened that ancestor's to its calls. Therefore, without outside assistance, they cannot call upon magic despite great innate potential.

Local Warriors are Draloic's greatest asset in keeping the peace and running the kingdom on an internal level. An amalgamation of ex-Elites, foreign Bounty hunters, and locally trained Dragon Riders, the Local Warriors are the unsung heroes of the nation of Draloic. In times of war, their advice is well valued and they may be called upon to lead soldiers and parties into battle, though the possess little political power:

Dragon Shamans are the hidden elites of Draloic. Only the most powerful are born with the talent of Dragon Domination are allowed to become Shamans. Those with this ability are recorded and offered the opportunity of tutelage under a master Shaman with the intent to one day surpass him and take over his heard of Riderless Dragons. Shamans, while possessing no political or wartime authority, are regarded among the wisest and noblest among all:

Citizens
make up the backbone of Draloic Society. Occupying jobs ranging from Hunting to Shop-keeping to Bounty Hunting, the possibilities for the base of Draloic are endless. However, they have little political and no Wartime authority. Therefore, those seeking those careers should look to rank up as soon as possible:

(Each person who joins starts off as citizen until they prove themselves and rank up)

Also I will add more story details in the future

Nice! I will need a decent size of people to get this going so we'll see if this works.

Also to those wondering, there is "theoretically" no limit for who join this RP. Although casual and detailed will likely be a more targeted crowd.
