HistoryThane comes from a long line of draconic warlords. They have had close ties to the royal family for generations, giving rise to many notable dragons with a long list of achievements in the military. Thane is no different, having carved a name for himself at quite a young age. He stands tall as one of the younger Warlord's among the dragon clan, well known for his short temper and exacting personality. He is often found in the more brutal skirmishes, utilizing unorthodox and savage methods to achieve victory that are sometimes considered questionable--even among his fellow Warlords.

Knowing the importance of heirs in a time when females are scarce, Thane had no qualms about taking advantage of a debt owed him by one of the military men of lower rank with a daughter of a mateable age. The arrangements were made, the debt considered settled, and Thane primed to have a mate for himself. Of the female he cares little, his focus being on the prospect of strong heirs by which he may carry on the legacy of his bloodline.

Backstory
Dahlia comes from a common enough background. The youngest child in her family and the only daughter. She has three older brothers who along with her father were high ranking men in the Draconic army. Her mother owns and runs a flower shop along with her grandmother since the men in her family are gone most of the time fighting skirmishes against the bold humans who are testing the protection of the dragon's territory.

Every female knows there will be a time when they'll be announced to be ready to take a mate; Dahlia was no different. However, with the decreasing female population it has become a more objectified process. Mated pairs are arranged now, no matter what. Dahlia's mother expected her daughter would be mated with someone of royalty since one of the prince's was openly searching. However, that was far off from what actually was set up for her.

Her father owed one of the dragon clan's Warlords and so she ended up being arranged to be mated with him.
