Realistic or Modern Double Sided

Endless Love

Reality TV Junkie ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Sure, relationships and even frienships effect a lot of things.

Especially when they're between rival packs.

But what havoc will be wreaked when some of the younger pack members develope friendships, or
even something more with members of an opposing pack? Will the strict alpha's force them out on their own, or will they learn to accept their pack mates' feelings?

It was snowing that morning, and the majority of the Mountainside pack was in the den. Nat had sat on the brown fur couch near her sister, feeling slightly sleepy in the dim lighting from the fireplace in which she watched the flames dance, competing for dominance on the firewood. The whole day was a bit of a drag, as there wasn't much hunting to be done. The pack home's kitchen was stocked full of food, and they wouldn't need to go get more for at least another two days.

Natalie had prepared for the day of lounging by wearing light grey sweats and a black tank. She spent a lot of the time organizing the bedroom she shared with her sister and was taking a well deserved break in one of her favorite places in the pack home. The males and females of the pack had sort of separated, the girls to the left, guys to the right. They were mingling like they always did on non busy days, drinking, even smoking. Unfortunately for some there wasn't a no smoking rule in the den, but the scent could be concealed by air freshener. Most of the pack, if anything, smoked marijuana, because even if it was illegal in the state, the pack home was so secluded it was practically impossible for the law to get involved.

Aleks sighed as he saw the snow fall. He hated snow, he always fought in it, making him weaker. He perfered giant plains. He sighed as he saw all the betas drinking and smoking. He loved smoking, but not when people were around. He got up, watching the snow fall, as he tucked his hands into the pockets of his sweater. He scanned to see if there was any enemies approaching, and there was none. He layed down, taking a nap. Last night he spent all day hunting to have some food on the kitchen, while most of them were sitting on their butts at home.

Andi woke up shivering in his bed. The cold had leaked into his room after blowing open his window. Shivering he stood and closed the window before grabbing his blanket. Wrapping it around himself he stumble down to the den following the smell of marijuana still clothed in some sweats and a tank top. Stumbling into the den he gave everyone a sleepy smile. The combination of coldness and marijuana smoke always made him sleepy. It didn't help that h e'er had just woke up. He loved days like this though. The pack always hung out together when it snowed smoking and just talking. Stumbling over to the fire he collapsed in front of it bathing in its warmth. Yawning, he curled up on his side buried underneath his fur blanket. The chattering of the pack and warmth of the fire slowly lulled him into a light content doze.

Ksenia lay in her bed with a sigh. She looked at the time with a frown. She slowly got up and placed her feet on the cold wood floor of her room. She made her way to her bathroom stripping herself of her pajamas. She turned on the water and waited for it to warm up. Once warm she stepped in and let the warm water run over her cold skin. She was not cold herself just felt nice. She shampooed and conditioned her hair. She washed her body rinsed off the suds and turned off the water. She stepped out and grabbed her towel drying off. She looked out the window and sighed at the snow. With one last look she went to dress, Ksenia changed into her. Jeans long sleeve shirt and boots. Ksenia walked down to the packs kitchen and made some coffee and breakfast for herself. She allowed the others to make there own food she wasn't there mother just a pack leader. She had things to do today and errands to run.

Ivy lips had slightly parted to release a lazy groan. She squinted her eyes before rubbing them a few times to get use to the light, that was unexpectedly shinning in her face. She sighed. " No use to not just get up right now." She had said mumbling to herself before running her fingers through her black hair. Ivy had quickly gotten up stumbling a bit from just waking up the second time today, she had quickly balanced herself before walking to the bathroom to use the bathroom. After Ivy had finished using the bathroom and washing her hands she had headed downstairs to where most of the pack was. As she had walked down the stairs the smell of marijuana and liquor had slapped her in the face. " My god, you people smoke a lot.." Ivy had mumbled, as she waved away the smell from her face and walked to the Kitchen.

Even though Ivy smokes, she wasn't exact keen on the smell of marijuana. She could endure any other type of smoking smell but marijuana. As she had entered the Kitchen her eyes had widened slightly as she had saw the Kitchen stocked full of food. " To bad its going to be gone in a day or two. Cause hey eating all the food in a day or so is just going to help everyone out." Ivy had said sarcastically as she had grabbed a green apple that was sitting peacefully on the counter. She sighed and leaned on the corner running her fingers through her hair once more before washing the apple off with water and biting into it.

Jesse had been up for hours now watching the snow fall; his insomnia was back. There was something about the fragile flecks of white that was simply fascinating to him. He didn't know of too many things, or people for that matter, who were so delicate but he wished he did. It would be a beautiful change of scenery in this place, that's for sure. He thought to himself, standing from the edge of his bed and walking to the mirror. Jesse made a face at himself, running his fingers through his hair and shaking his head. He glanced down at himself, quickly deciding that walking about the home in just his briefs could be an issue. Pulling on a pair of navy blue sweatpants, Jesse headed into the bathroom to brush his teeth and comb his hair before wandering downstairs.

"Morning, Ksenia," he said softly, his voice making his underlying exhaustion rather obvious. Rubbing the back of his neck, Jesse opened the fridge and looked around for a long moment before grabbing his breakfast. After his meal was put together, Jesse carried his food to the dining table. He glanced up and around to see if anyone else was up yet; not that he expected anyone to be. Focusing in on his food, Jesse finished the meal within minutes, quickly wandering over to the sink and rinsing the dishes. Now, he could feel his fatigue settling in.
Now you want to sleep, huh? Refusing to give in to his struggle, Jesse simply braced his arms on the counter, tilted his head down, and rested there for a few moments as he mentally prepared for today. He really hated being stuck inside and it would only be worse with the lack of proper sleep.

Everyone was preparing for the day ahead, the pack almost like a busy bee hive. Natalie watched with doe brown eyes, comfortably in her corner spot on the couch. Most of the betas for mountainside were girls, so it almost seemed like a sorority aside from Andi, the male hunters, omegas, and the alpha. "Good morning Ivy, Andi." Natalie said as she stretched, her voice way off key and almost high pitched.

The alpha had been the busiest of all. He was pacing around, watching the window as if there was some sort of threat. Typical alpha. Nat thought, taking a sip of her iced coffee through a red straw. At that moment she wished it wasn't iced, as the cold shiver shot down her spine. "Maybe someone should get a fire going?" She suggested to nobody in particular.

Victor sat atop a thick tree branch which had a nailed on platform and a small tarp. He was wrapped in a blanket looking around to see his next prey. It had been hours since Victor built this makeshift hut atop the trees, one of many. He didn't know whose territory he was in, didn't matter. Most of both packs knew Victor by seeing him hunt or seeing him fight, neither of the two were pretty.

After several minutes Victor leaned back against the tree using the bark as a pillow as he took in all the smells of his surroundings. He smelled a vague scent at a far distance, Not a bear that's not pungent enough.....not a coyote....not...nope not a wolf.....a doe possibly a buck. He though over the smells as he looked over to see a large doe fifty meters to his left. Victor didn't have to hunt like this but he was known to have a blood lust by killing others or hunting animals. He allowed the doe to get at least fifteen meters away before positioning himself bow in hand and arrow strung.

Ivy was minding her own business eating her green apple till Natalie had greeted her and Andi. She had gave Natalie a sideways glance before rolling her eyes. " You sound like you've just entered puberty." Ivy had said bluntly at Natalie as she had stretched. Ivy had then sat next to where Natalie and watched the Alpha as he had paced by the window. "Give it a break Mr. Alpha, besides who would want to start anything on a day like this." Ivy had said giving the man who she had called Alpha a new nickname.

She sighed as in a few minutes Ivy had finished her green apple. She had quickly gotten up and threw it away before sitting back down in her spot before anyone would take it.

Ksenia looked up as Jesse walked down. She looked at him."did you get any sleep?" She asks him with a slight frown of worry. She watched him make his breakfast.

Ksenia watched him wash his dishes."did you get any sleep if not you should go rest up. I was just going to head to town wont be back for a while." She said. There house was an hour to two hours away from the town they were secluded and there property was private. She stood and cleaned her plate. "So want to come with or shall you sleep?" She asked him. She did not trust one of her pack members. She normally had Jesse keep an eye on the pack while she was out and about, but today she thought why not.

The snow would not hinder them. She had a suv to take them to town with snow chains on them. She watched Jesse and waited for a answer.

Victor raised his bow and drew it as the doe walked closer. Victor rose up from his crouch and loosed the arrow. With a audible thump the doe took an arrow to the upper left leg, ripping several tendons and ligaments rendering the leg useless.

As the doe struggled to run Victor dropped to the ground and rolled to clear the impact. Only able to get twenty yards away before falling, the doe was handicapped in this fight, its supreme speed and muscle mass had been it downfall. The more muscle the more ligaments and tendons you need to keep it all together. Victor took a knee beside the struggling doe, placing both hands on the doe's neck and as if a noose he clenched its throat and twisted, killing it instantly. The blood from the arrow wound covered the ground, the scent was strong.

At Ivy's comment on her dinorsaur mating call sounding yawn, Natalie couldn't help but laugh. She turned her attention over to Aleks, the thought of as to why he'd be on guard caught her attention again after Ivy had noticed it too. Maybe it was his protective streak, or maybe something was amiss. Nat sighed and stood to put her iced coffee tumbler in the sink, along with tossing out her straw. "I wonder where Aubrey is." Almost as if on cue the female black lab came rushing to Natalie's side, finding a spot between her and Ivy on the couch in her usual curled position. "Hey Aubs." Natalie said in the sort of voice you'd use to talk to a toddler, scratching at her fur with well manicured nails.

Nat brought her concerns back to Aleks. "Yeah, Ivy's right. Chill out Al." She said, proceeding to gently stroke Aubrey's silky black coat.

Jesse leaned back away from the counter, turning his head up to look at Ksenia. Her question about going with her was still hanging in the air. A part of him wanted to say no, that he would just stay home and sleep because that's what he needed. The rest of him knew that this could be one of the only times he would be going out for another two days so he was ready to take up her offer.

With a gentle shrug, Jesse said, "If you're sure nobody here needs a babysitter anymore.." only half-jokingly. Their pack had the tendency to literally act like wild animals; rather ironic, it is. So, Jesse was typically put in charge in her absence, more or less to keep everyone from biting each other's heads off while another trusted male beta, Victor, was out hunting their meals. It seemed to him that the omegas were usually the ones causing problems... Strange that they would do so and set themselves up to be stuck in their rank. Nodding now in response, Jesse fully agreed to going. "Yeah, I'll come."

'He shook his head at the Betas comments. ''Anyone would start their attack on a day like this, while we're sitting on our butts. It's my job to keep each one of you safe, and if someone attacks, to lead you right. If I get off guard and someone attacks you'll be like lost puppies. And yes, Mr. Alpha isn't quite in the mood.'' he said, nervously scanning around to see anything. He sighed and dragged a seat to his place, sitting down and grabbing an apple. He loved apples as much as Ivy, but, he never really talked with any of them.

Crystal made her way over to the couch from her room. She covered her yawn with her hand as she stretched. "Morning......" she said to nobody in particular. She wasn't really hungry, but she was pretty cold. She plopped down on the couch next to Natalie. "Hey, how'd you sleep?" she asked bluntly. She turned to look at the alpha. "What's his problem?" she asked rolling his eyes. "Always gotta be so moody and uptight." She took out a roll of marijuana and put it between her lips. She lit it filling the air full of the aroma. Crystal sighed and brought her knees onto the couch and hugged them to her chest.

"Oh, he's just grumpy because it's early." Natalie said humorously. "But that aside, I slept pretty well." Upon Crystal lighting her blunt Nat inhaled the all too familiar scent. Most people were used to the scent of apple pie in their home, maybe pine cones or something you'd see on a candle, but to the mountainside kids, weed was a comforting, accustomed smell. It wasn't quite as strong as tobacco, though, so the aroma would wear off in a few hours, tops.

Amidst the chatter and smoke, a typical morning pastime at the Mountainside pack house, something was brewing, the making of a storm that would change everything. Occurring outdoors, not far from the home, in the concealment of the evergreens, two wolves had met. Maggie, an omega to the Mountainside pack, and Kevin a beta of the Darkwoods. It may have seemed like an innocent, even heart touching thing, but the two star crossed lovers were breaking a rule both of their packs had held for generations: Any sort of contact of the opposing pack is strictly prohibitted to pack members. Kevin pecked Maggie gently on the cheek, and shifted to his wolf form before quickly bounding off into the distance, headed for Darkwood. Maggie's face was coated with blush, and not from the cold. She too shifted, and hurried on her way, a sandy colored wolf with bright green eyes. Interrupting the chatter of Mountainside, was a knock at the door from Maggie's balled up fist tapping on the wood.

At around the same time, over at Darkwood, Kevin opened the door to the pack home, and slipped inside a tall blonde guy with surprisingly tan skin and grey eyes. He looked around at his packmates, almost guiltily.

Ksenia smiles and shook her head."they all need a babysitter, but thought I be nice and take you with. Come on then if your okay to come." She stood and grabbed her keys. She put on a leather jacket and scarf. She grabbed her purse and keys and went to walk out when the door opened.

Ksenia watched Kevin walk in."another wolf walk?" She asked and sniffed him."what is that smell on you, I don't know if you stepped in something, but you should shower." She said."also your in charge Jesse and I are going to the store in town." She said and walked past him. He had a scent on him, something familiar yet not." Come on Jesse." She said and made her way out of the house to the suv she used. She got in the driver side and looked at her phone with a slight frown. She waited on Jesse to get in the car before she pulled out of the drive and made there way for town. She thought as she drove."you know this be a perfect time to attack the other pack, though they be expecting it." She said a loud thinking as she drove.

Victor aloud his body to give in to its instincts. In a split second his body shifted into the state of the hunter. He stared down at his dead prey and with a howl he bit into the foreign flesh (skipping the gore). After several minutes of lifting of ripping it's meat away he rises from his meal. His nostrils stung at the smell of a sort of smoke, far but stinging to his mind. Fucking pot heads. Victor didn't believe in smoking pot, he believed it made you vulnerable and weak. On few occasions when younger he had smoked a couple blunts revealing his not so vicious side. On these occasions he mistook misformed gestures and emotions as tricks. He doesn't like being taken advantage of and to do so results in scars or bodies. Victor prowled toward the smell allowing all his senses to reach out, but he forgot he was covered in the thick and easily sensed smell of blood.

As he was biting into the apple, he started to think about why they didn't have any other male beta, only a bunch of girls. Even tough they were in bigger number, they had two males, but, they'd probably still win if they decided to attack them.

His toughts had suddenly been disrupted when he heard an animal screech, and the thick smell of blood. If people knew him well, they'd know the reason he was the Alpha. His smelling and strenght were simply amazing, so, the smell of fresh blood wouldn't be a hard thing for him to process, even tough the girls behind him were addicted to be smoking whatever type of grass they found on the floor. He got up and looked trough the window, seeing Victor eating an animal on their territory. He shouted on the top of his lungs
''Hey! Stay sleeping in our territory if you like but don't be hunting our damn animals! Get out of here!''

Jesse smirked, now slowly rounding the counter to stand next to her side. Ksenia was in a rather good mood today so far; a very good thing. He liked to see her smile, well, he liked to see most people smile. It was just one of those special moments for him, he enjoyed moments not full of his own or another's aggression.

Following her to the door, Jesse came to a casual halt, staring at the door. Concerned, Jesse positioned himself quickly as if to protect Ksenia. Then he realized who the person was. Eyeing him suspiciously, Jesse could smell something... off about Kevin. Trying hard to pick up the scent, Jesse became rather frustrated that there was something so familiar yet so foreign about it. Now, he listened closely as Ksenia spoke, it was clear she hadn't focused in on the scent. Still, Jesse chose to bite his tongue as he followed her out the door, offering a sideways glance at Kevin.

Slipping in to the passenger's side of the car, Jesse scanned the area through the windshield. Not much seemed to be happening. He knew Victor had gone out but even now he couldn't make his figure out in the snow. He quickly assumed that the other pack was probably doing similar things, not paying much mind to one another. Just as this thought crossed his mind, Ksenia spoke up. Jesse turned to face her, raising an eyebrow. "How so?" He asked, already having a pretty good idea of what she meant.

Victor peered over at Alek the alpha of mountainside. He had several run ins with Alek, though not as strong or skilled as himself he still respected Alek. He didn't like taking shit, he turned his head away as a sign of disrespect and began a trot toward a lake. Victor laid on his side in the snow, after a few seconds he began rolling to wash out the blood to become an unseen smell. He stood once more, Victor lead himself a path of scent. He could smell hunting paths decaying bones small animals all of the beautiful forest, easily preyed upon aswell.

Ksenia looked over at Jesse,"because who wouldn't take this weather as an advantage. They are more layed back then we are this be a perfect chance. Then Alek is not stupid, he be expecting a attack." She said as she drove. She sighed."Did Kevin smell off to you or was that just my imagination, the smell seemed familiar as well. " she said as she drove.

She wondered of she had been watching the wrong wolf. She had been watching Victor, she could not trust him it was just a feeling she had. Ksenia had only taken the alpha postion a year go and yet she could still not trust her pack. She thought she could trust Kevin, but seems he was hiding something. Only one she really told anything to recently. She told only the small things to her pack basically what they needed to know and even less to Victor. She frowned. How could Kevin do this to the pack.

Ksenia bit her lip and thought about the scent. It was not registering with her for a reason. She shook it off, thinking it was just paranoia.

DeathToAllBetrayers

Crystal rolled her eyes when she heard the alpha yelling to some other wolf in our territory. Typical bastards. They're so fricken stupid, everyone knows not to invade in the other's territory. She turned to Natalie. "Wow, can you believe people are stupid enough to come into our territory, and even have the guts to hunt. Such dumb asses," she said snickering. Many other wolves underestimated the mountainside pack, and called them "laid back", but they really aren't. They had a tough alpha that fought for his rank, they were all raised to be tough and cold. They always expected an attack, and are always prepared for it. They lived up in the mountains and were used to the harsh landscape and extreme weather. They knew the land by heart, and were all experienced hunters. Crystal blew out her roll of weed, dropped it somewhere, and walked over to the counter to grab an apple.

Jesse nodded, "Good point," he said in response, thinking about what she had said. Her question about Kevin caught him somewhat off guard. Yes, he had smelled something off about him but he wasn't sure that's what Ksenia would want to hear. His internal debate began, causing him to take a long pause before forming a proper response.

"Well... I did notice some sort of scent on him..." He said, trailing off slightly at the end. Jesse then began immediately pushing himself to continue, clearing his throat first. "It did seem familiar to me, too, but I didn't peg Kevin for being the stupid one." He really didn't know what he was talking about anymore. Something told him he should have just stuck with his gut and told Ksenia that he didn't smell anything, but he knew she would have caught on quite quickly. "Maybe one of us should talk to him when we get back? I mean I'm sure it's nothing, really."

Jesse turned his gaze to face out the front windshield, watching the road as they drove. Honestly, he was scared to continue this conversation, he really was. When Ksenia got mad, she got really mad and it was taken out on everyone. It was nice to have her speaking more to him now and he would rather not have one little foreign scent cause her to stop talking to them all. Besides, whatever it was couldn't be that bad, right? At least, that's what Jesse would be telling himself from this moment on.
