Did you have a brain tumor for breakfast?
With the school year now well underway, you know what that means--Homecoming, y'all!

Over the summer, however, a fire destroyed part of Eastgate High. The powers that be decided it'd be a wonderful learning experience for Highgate to share their sprawling facilities with their sister school, and have a joint Homecoming Dance at Highgate High. But after Eastway ends up winning the Homecoming game, the students of Highgate aren't feeling all that welcoming.

On Cloud 9 after beating Highgate

It was satisfying for Cam to celebrate a victory over the HIghgate Titans in the Homecoming game, but it was even more satisfying to attend Homecoming in their gym. If you didn't believe that the star QB of the Eastway Navigators wasn't going to arrive in the dance and show his ass, you were sadly mistaken.

Having broken up with his ex-girlfriend just a few weeks ago, Cam was without a date, yet here he was having a good time. Alcoholic beverages weren't allowed inside for obvious reasons, but that didn't deter Cam to pregame with some of his teammates prior to the arrival at Highgate's gymnasium. It was the same gym that he once played in when he was a member of Eastway's basketball team, but several missteps and fights got him kicked off and placed into the predicament of transitioning into one of the better quarterbacks in the state. In a way, he had a right to be mad at Highgate, given that his dismissal from the team stemmed from fights he had with Highgate basketball players (he still fought now, but fighting was a bit more acceptable in football).

But tonight? Cam was on his "best behavior." The trash talking was, in theory over and now he just wanted to talk his shit over whatever censored rap song dared to be played next by the DJ. He would fill in the blurred words with the correct cuss word.

"Yeeeah, how that L feel huh?"
Cam said with a cocky grin, pointing over at some of the Highgate players that were congregated together away from where he was on the dance floor, feeling himself a bit too much at this point.
"Come get it back in blood in the playoffs, pussies!"

Again, feeling himself a bit too much.

As he continued to vibe and dance, Cam took a few steps back, not realizing where he was going until bumped back to back with someone, an all too familiar face of a specific curly haired cheerleader from Highgate that he just so happened to blow a kiss at after scoring his second touchdown.
"Oh shit... I see you, ma,"
Cam said with a bright grin, his eyes giving Claire a quick up-down.
"I know you ain't here with some bum ass dude from y'all football team, right?"

I wanted to leave

As a rule, Oliver didn’t usually go to dances.

They were too crowded, too loud, and much too chaotic for him.The last time he went to a party, he wound up crying in the bathroom the entire time just from the hellishly overwhelming environment. And to add to the stress of it all, this one particular Homecoming dance wasn’t even at his school. Ever since part of Eastway High burned down in an unfortunate inferno, all of their events had been rescheduled to be held in conjunction with Highgate High’s. And, considering Eastway just wrecked their asses at the Homecoming football match, Oliver got the feeling that they might not be particularly welcome guests at this time.

Besides, he didn’t even really own any suitable formalwear. This was a stupid idea. But, he thought, as he closed the last button on his worn-out thrifted blazer, this was a business opportunity. Celebrating Eastway classmates and sore HIghgate losers alike would probably be looking for a little illegal stimulant fix. And, luckily, Oliver’s negligent mother had lately been a source of good cheap crack to sling around at school. And his stepsister Ashley would probably be at the dance as well… most likely with Dustin. Good. That meant that at least he wouldn’t be alone if he had to run out early.

So off he went, already dreading the occasion before he had even boarded the bus that would take him over to the nicer side of town. Even the outside of the Highgate High School building looked much nicer than Eastway: all rolling green lawns and no burnt brick-and-concrete walls. Eastway looked more like a prison than a school to Oliver, which suited his normal activities just fine.

Instantly feeling a bit overwhelmed the second he stepped in the door, Oliver carefully situated himself in the corner of the room, keeping an eye out for potential customers. As long as he could make some money at this dance, it would be worth a little hyperventilation and panic.

Aly Evermore
tumblr_inline_osdyiqiOv11s2djns_250.gifv

Aly was always nervous about these types of events. While she loved the people she went to school with, and the people she surrounded herself with, it was always nerve-wracking to go to these things. Despite having mid-grade popularity, she always felt alone. No one ever chose to dance with her and they would talk to her but leave quickly to socialize with others. She was simply just the girl who took their photos and made them look good for their social media feeds and the yearbook pages.
Not to mention, the dress she chose was definitely out of her comfort zone. It was an impulse buy from some cheap website online and though it hugged some of the right places, it definitely hugged a lot of the wrong ones. But nevertheless, Aly took the bite and posted it on Instagram. She liked the compliments people gave her, even if she was unsure if they were true or not. The small confidence boost had the girl touch up her makeup and hop in her car, ready to go to the dance.
The sound of the music echoed from the gymnasium as she made her way through the hall. She needed to stop in the tech room quickly to grab her camera off the charger before she could go to the gym. She couldn't help but take glances at herself through every classroom window that she passed but it didn't take her long to unlock the door and grab the camera labeled with her name. Quickly, she switched out the SD cards so that all her photos were fresh for upload and edits for the next school day.
Finally, Aly had one final thought of dread before leaving and locking up the tech room to make her way to the gym. The way the events crew dressed up the place kind of made Aly giggle. It looked cheesy and overdone. But with the dim light, it didn't look that bad. At least the Eastway students wouldn't truly notice a difference with how terrible, at least in Aly's opinion, the dance looked. Instantly, Aly made her rounds around the gym, laughing and taking photos of some of the students before she eventually spotted Gavin.
Almost instantly, she felt the heat of her face turning pink. This happened every time she saw him. Why? She had no clue. She'd never had a crush on a person before. But since she and Gavin had started their semester assignment, she'd been having this reaction to him despite never having it before in previous years. Shyly, she made her way over to him and held up the camera, "gimme a smile." She said before clicking the shutter button. When she lowered the camera, a small smile touched her lips, "Wow, perfect. Our child will be proud." She said with a quiet laugh.
Aly quietly stood next to him and began to scroll through the photos she'd taken so far. There was a lot already, but she was a perfectionist. She would go through every photo and choose the best of the best to add to the yearbook, then send the rest to the students they were of. She made it her personal mission to make sure everyone got to experience the joy they felt on the days she took the photos because a picture was worth a thousand words. They may not remember the exact events these photos took place but in the future, they would be able to appreciate the day the photo showed them smiling.
"Too bad I couldn't bring Jimothy, I think she would have appreciated the 90's pop playing right now." She joked, doing her best to make conversation with him, "Are you enjoying yourself so far?"

Ivy strode into Highgate High School’s vast gymnasium hall like a girl on a mission.
The mission: cause as much trouble as possible over the next few hours, all while wearing sparkly high heels.

For tonight, tonight of all nights, Highgate’s territory was hers for the taking. Eastway had razed them to the ground at the football match (which Ivy was present for but not paying attention to– too busy doing sick flips in the air and stuff), and now they all had to share space for the celebratory hoedown known as the Homecoming dance. Let it suffice to say that the impending tension of the situation appealed to Ivy, who loved any reason to start a fight, make a mess, or commit a small misdemeanor. In addition, she also loved any opportunity to dress up like a dollar-store Disney princess.

Not feeling quite satisfied with her dramatic entrance, Ivy undid her bouncy ponytail and shook her hair out, unleashing a cascade of glitter onto the floor like a drag queen. There, she thought, grinning devilishly– that got the heads turning. Perfect.

“Who’s ready to fuck some shit up!?” She yelled out to the crowd of dolled-up students, hoping to incite some cheers or at least groans of frustration. Any kind of attention was good attention to her. Ivy was no homecoming queen, and certainly lacked the social leverage to pull such a title, but she was determined to upstage the event in any way that she could. Even if it meant taking the hidden silly string out of her purse and decking the halls in pink slime…

I've done the math
There's no solution
We'll never last

Jenny clutched onto Xio's arm for dear life, the two girls painfully stumbling across the gymnasium. Who's brilliant idea had it been to wear heels again? Hers? Xio's? Both of them? Bella?

Whoever it was, Jenny wanted to kill them. She'd taken a spill like three whole times since leaving Xio's place to go to the gym and the bruises that collected on her lower thighs and arms were multiplying and growing pinker with each tumble on concrete until she looked as if she had been the one getting her ass kicked on the field that day.

Personally, the young girl was not appreciating any reminders of the earlier Homecoming game. Or as she preferred to call it "the place where Jennifer Kyang's dignity died a slow and painful death". From the hideous uniforms to the tone deaf screeching of fellow freshmen who hadn't quite grasped what notes were yet, to the fact that her crush had gotten a firsthand view to Jenny in said hideous outfit, the game had been nothing short of hell-ish. Needless to say she jumped at the chance to change into something cute and dressy for the dance and leave all feelings of being a geeky, androgynous, flute-playing, blob out the window.

The two freshman made their way to one end of the room where an assortment of tables and plastic chairs had been set-up. A grin spread across her face as she took in her friend's outfit. "You. Look. Incredible." She clutched a hand to her heart dramatically, collapsing into one of the chairs to mimic going into cardiac arrest. "Baaaabe, how dare you? You could've uglied yourself up a little. Give the rest of us plebs a chance. But noooo you had to show off that you're the hottest bitch in school." She teasingly whined, getting back up to wrap an arm around her bestie, squeezing her tightly until Xio excused herself to go to the bathroom.

“Noooo don't leave meeeee!” Jenny protested for a few seconds, before releasing her bestie with a pout. As Xio headed towards the ladies room, Jen remained standing there. She awkwardly fidgeted with her dress, taking a deep breath before beginning her sad attempt at stumbling across the gym on her own.

That morning during 1st period, Yuri couldn't help but think about him and how he made him feel. That day in the computer lab played over and over in his head. It was just the two of them, but Yuri had to get a few last-minute assignments done. Sitting in front of the beautiful monitor, he couldn't quite get it to work how he wanted it to work. Lucky for him, Amal, a stunningly handsome guy, asked if he needed any help. He remembered the smell of his cologne, how it took over his senses. The closeness allow him to hear his gentle breathing, and feel the warmth of his body. Yuri watched as his issue was resolved quickly and efficiently, but what he didn't expect was to lock eyes with Amal. Something happened in that brief moment that he couldn't quite explain. There was a definite attraction there. That was the first time he'd noticed Amal, and it wasn't the last. More computer lab visits happened after and something began to slowly form.

It was another day for most, but here in Highgate and Eastway, it was an important game. The Homecoming Game. Yuri did his best to help his team score touchdowns while passing the ball, but in the end, Eastway came out on top. Yuri felt the bitter sting of defeat. He knew this victory for Eastway was going to be a thorn in Highgate's side for a long time. He didn't have time to think about it too much because tonight was the night. The Homecoming Dance. It was a pivotal dance for most, especially seniors as it would be the last they could participate in unless they went to college. It was second only to prom. Everyone got dressed up to showcase their fashion and take pictures with their friends while having the time of their lives. Yes, there would be underage drinking and sex, but what good celebration didn't have that? Most would probably pregame before they got to the dance, and others would find a way to hide on school premises and do what they want. It seemed the faculty was more lenient during these types of events.

Yuri stood in front of the mirror looking at the outfit he and his mom designed. She was amazing, and he felt stunning in whatever she made him. She took loads of pictures before moving to leave. Prior to the Homecoming Game, Yuri was approached to sing a few songs during the dance. How could he resist? He had three songs that he hoped everyone would enjoy. The only thing that was awkward was that he didn't have a date for the dance, and it was too late to ask anyone. He'd been too busy preparing that he missed the opportunity. Still, he hoped to at least see Amal there, maybe even dance with him a little. He could dream, right?

It didn't take long for him to arrive at the event. The music could be heard in the parking lot. Sighing, he checked himself once more in the car mirror and made his way in. As he walked, he smiled and greeted everyone who was already there. Because part of Eastway burned down, they were invited to Highgate for the dance, and Yuri could feel a slight bit of tension in the air. He already knew the night was going to be filled with drama. He could overhear one of the players from Eastway stirring the pot. One thing he didn't want to do tonight was a fight, but others on the football team would gladly start a brawl at any given point. Yuri sighed and shook his head.

"Let me sing these damn songs so I can get the hell out of here," he muttered, moving swiftly to the DJ booth to make sure everything was set up and prepared.

Cody Langston

The look on his face when Clarke said yes to going with him to the dance. He was happy, granted he could have asked anyone and more than likely they would have said yes. The number of girls and guys that threw themselves at him on a weekly basis at Eastway High was astounding, but he was happy to go with someone he knew and someone he was comfortable around. Cody was dressed in the ugliest suit his mom could find. He was pissed. Pinstripes. He loathed pinstripes and he knew his mom knew. This was some sort of payback for something, he could feel it. Still, Yuri had an extra shirt for him, and Woods had an extra pair of pants for him to change into once he got there. He pulled up to Clarke's house, hoping that she was as ready as she could be. Her picture online proved that she could dress to impress. Stepping to the front door, he knocked as any gentleman would, and put on his best behavior smile.

The fact that Eastway had won the game had everyone from Eastway on a high, and they didn't want to come down. Cody was happy about it, even though he didn't play. You would think he would've given in by how many times the coach asked him each year to play. Football just wasn't for him. Woods and the others did enough on the team for him not to be needed. Still, he wondered if he did play would his parents be happier about his participation in school? He wasn't in any way a bad student, but they often overlooked his accomplishments to focus on the family businesses. He was thankful to have Yuri. The guy helped him when he was alone and dealing with dangerous thoughts. He remembered when he came out as bisexual and his mother looked at him and said "What else is new?" while his father looked at him with utter disgust. Talk about the stress of not having parents who noticed you for more than just the bad things. That seemed to be the only way to get their attention. When he'd gotten into conflict, they were down his neck big time. They actually noticed him. Even when the pregnancy scare happened, they were attentive, but it never really lasts. Cody Langston, the only Langston not in the spotlight, but also in the spotlight.

Pull me closer
If you think you can hang
Claire folded her arms standoffishly, leaning back in her chair as a rando plopped down beside her. She merely scoffed at this Eastway girl, having the nerve to take a seat amongst a table full of Highgate cheerleaders. But when the underclassman began her shittalking, however, Claire just couldn't abide that.

"Are you lost, sweetie?" The catty cheerleader snapped, waving a hand to dismiss her. "You should really go back to the other Eastway dogs, you don't fit in here," She giggled evilly, throwing in a couple barks at the girl for good measure.

Esther, unbothered, just skipped away blithely, making Claire rise from her seat in a huff. Annoyed, she began wandering aimlessly across the vast Highgate gymnasium in search of something better to focus her attention on. Perhaps Bella finally made it to the dance; she was curious how her date with Rafi was going. Or maybe she could find one of her regular hook-ups to bully into dancing with her.

The brunette was doing her best catwalk sashay as she pranced expertly in her gold stilettos. Shoulders back, nose in the air like the haughty little princess she was, glittery dress billowing gracefully behind her. So maybe she was a little overdressed, but Claire had made it her mission to upstage every other girl at the dance, especially those trashy little Eastway bitches. Chocolate brown eyes narrowed with contempt as she glanced around Highgate's crowded gym, the place absolutely crawling with peasants from the rival school. And after their lucky win earlier at the Homecoming game, the fuckers were strutting around acting like they owned the place.

Claire was abruptly yanked out of her thoughts when she felt someone back right into her. Claire quickly whirled around, ready to unleash a tirade of verbal abuse upon the poor sap who made the mistake of bumping into her. Yet the words stuck in her throat once she got an eyeful of the handsome perpetrator. Cameron Cunningham, Eastway's star player, was now towering over her, making her heart flutter like a hummingbird on amphetamines.

Refusing to let him see the effect his charming smile had on her, Claire willed herself to remain stone-faced, only allowing a playful smirk to cross her cherry lips. "Oh, look who it is. Wow, who knew an Eastway boy could clean up so well?" She teased, even though she'd seen Cam off the muddy field plenty of times, looking just as attractive then as he did in the moment, all dressed to the nines.

"Showing up solo was a choice. I meeean, I know your girlfriend dumped you and all," She purred, turning the focus back on Cam to deftly sidestep the question of her own date. Claire wasn't really the type of girl one would ask on dates, or bring home to meet the family. Outside of casual dalliances, she kept most people at arm's length, and convinced herself it was for the best. Claire learned from a young age that anyone she allowed herself to depend on would only disappoint in the end.

"Tough break, Cunningham. If you're a good boy, maybe I'll dance with you."

Amal Rahil

Amal didn't know what changed in him. That morning he had no desire to go to the dance despite being on the football team. He didn't care for that sort of stuff and half the time if he even wanted to go, he'd have to sneak out or his parents would go off about how, "Allah would frown upon what happens at those dances!" and so on. Amal would rather spend his time at home playing games and streaming. But the interaction he had with Yuri that morning changed his mind. Not because he was going for a boy, but because he was intrigued by how he felt when he had leaned over Yuri to help with computer issues. Or how Yuri looked at him. Or even how Yuri smelled. Surely none of that meant anything...
But nonetheless, here Amal was, buttoning up his somewhat best dress shirt. It wasn't the fanciest thing to wear to a homecoming but it would suffice better than his regular hoodie and jeans combo. Once his Outfit was straightened out and he spritzed some cologne on, Amal put one of his old streams on loud enough that if anyone in his family would approach, they would know not to disturb him. At least there was something there for them to somewhat support.
After quietly slipping out his window and down the tree outside his yard, Amal was on his way to the dance. The air to the fall night was nipping at his arms and now he was regretting not bringing a sweater. He had originally thought that maybe the gym would be gross and sweaty with all the people there but outside was a different story. Either way, he shrugged off the cold and pushed onward until he was at the school.
Already he could hear the music coming from the gymnasium and Amal instantly made his way there. The bright neon lights and loud music were already giving him a headache. Why had he come? At this point he wasn't completely sure. That is until he saw Yuri on the stage singing. Amal had to divert his eyes as if there was something to be embarrassed about with looking at who was singing. Amal did his best to avoid bumping into overly excited and dancing people to get to the punch bowl. Whoever made quick work of spiking it put waaay too much in there. Amal could smell it even before he poured himself a cup.
With the drink secured, he found a table to sit at and pulled out his phone, doing his best to not look too eagerly at the stage as he scrolled through Instagram and sipped his drink. He wasn't the most social person but hopefully a few friends of his were at the dance so that he would at least have someone to talk to. So far, no luck in spotting anyone he had interest in talking to. So, he continued looking down at his phone while he listened to Yuri's music.

Woods Kerrington
chad-michael-murray-nod.gif

Woods looked fine as hell. Not only did he know he looked fine as hell but the flexing to himself in the mirror while in his suit confirmed that he looked fine as hell. He was on an all time high, knowing that he himself, and totally nobody else (at least in his head) won the homecoming game for his school like the total champion and God he was, "Damn Woodman, you're looking fine as hell. No girls will be able to keep their hand off you." He chirped to himself in the mirror until his phone buzzed.
Stepping away, he picked up his phone to check who the text was from and it was Kiera. He'd managed to convince her to go with him to the dance. Though totally as friends. She was gay and he wouldn't push that boundary. Besides, he had his sights set on someone else. If he took a total weirdo to the dance with him out of pity, maybe he'd get some ouu's and aah's from the girls. He'd be a total hero for taking Kiera with him to the dance.
Bounding down the stairs, he waved a quick bye to his parents and hopped in the truck before his dad could protest his leaving. There he began his zooming into town to pick up Kiera. Sitting outside her house, he sent a quick text before beeping the horn an obnoxious amount of times as he waited. He had bitches to talk to, there was no time to waste, "damn there you are. I wouldn't have waited all night." He said in a grumbly tone and sped off, his truck making a loud rev as he pushed down the gas.
Driving to the town over for the dance wasn't exactly his ideal place to go, but their school had a fire so there was no other choice but for the schools to come together as one. Who knows, maybe Woods will save some weakling kicker from getting their butt beat. Then he'd be a triple hero: for winning the game, taking the weirdo to the dance with him, and saving some sore losers butt. "Damn, I'm a good man." He thought in his head as the truck rolled to a stop outside of Highgate school.
"Come on Kie, time to be your wingman." He said to her, unbeknownst to her, that she would in fact be his. He'd have all the girls hanging off of him showing up with her. Instantly, Woods began to dance energetically when they stepped into the gym. For sure the punch would be spiked by now, so he made his way over and to his delight he could already smell the alcohol within the bowl. Now to find Cody. He had brought the guy a shirt in exchange for a fully filled flask. See, Woods' dad searched his room and truck almost on the daily so there was no way for Woods to get away with hiding contraband within his house. He pretty much relied on others to get it for him. In exchange he gave things back.
"We gotta find Cody, he brought me a flask." He told Kiera and nodded for her to follow. He wasn't exactly sure where Cody would be amongst the crowed of people. So, Woods socialized and bantered along the way, taking heavy gulps of his drink. When he still couldn't find Cody he finally gave up and sat at one of the tables lining the sides, "so who do you have your sights set on tonight then?" He asked Kiera, lazily leaning back in his seat.

Honey, help me out of this mess
I'm a stranger to myself

Ashley nuzzled her face into Dustin's smooth neck, the couple having constructed what was essentially a makeshift couch by pushing two of the plastic chairs together. With his arm still around her, she lifted her head to double check that their canoodlng wasn't going to be cut short by chaperones.

Normally Ashley really wouldn't have given a shit about being caught. But considering she'd spent the entire fucking afternoon doing acrobatics in the sweltering heat, and only having like 10 minutes to gussy up before making the walk to Highgate, the last thing that she wanted right now was to have to walk back. Plus if they got kicked out then Oli would for sure-oh shit.

"Oli." Ashley blurted out, gently untangling herself from her boyfriend's embrace. "We gotta find him, you know how he does at parties with big crowds and loud noises and shit." She continued, rising up from her seat with a belligerent grumble.

With her boyfriend in tow, the couple began their roundabout the unfamiliar gymnasium. Why the fuck was it so big? All the money in the world and of course the dumbass Highgaters decided to use it on expanding their gyms to be triple the size of the one over at Eastway for "football" or "satanic rituals" some dumb shit like that. Fat load of good that gym did for them anyway, if the skulking expressions of the Highgate kids in the midst of their crushing loss was anything to go by. And anyway, it honestly made her a bit giddy that Eastway's mere brokeass presence was enough to make their captain look like she wanted to commit a literal murder.

Sure enough, the moody cheerleader strutted past the couple, looking as if steam was coming out of her ears. She gently nudged Dustin to observe, covering her mouth to stifle a chuckle. Claire had been a frequent target of Ashley's mocking since middle school, when she'd caught her then-bestie Dustin ogling her tits mid game, whether Claire herself was aware of it or not. Petty as it was, the fact that Claire's night seemed to be dogshit while hers was going great? Satisfying as hell.

As Claire disappeared from her line of vision, the very person they were looking for in the first place appeared in the periphery. Nudging her boyfriend yet again, she grabbed his arm, leading them to the corner where Oli stood like a lost puppy. A pang of guilt pounded in her chest, noticing her stepbrother's obviously distraught state. Throwing Oli in a crowded room with loud noises, strangers, and the expectation you understand social customs was like a death trap for the poor kid.

She leaned on the spot of the wall directly beside him, a concerned look on her face. "You okay? How're you holding up?" She questioned, unchacteristically gentle as she peered over at him expectantly.

He tried not to get agitated with everything that was going on. After he picked up Clarke, he gave her flowers as a gift of friendship. The entire ride to Highgate was easy and fun. They talked about everything, and he was thankful for a friend like Clarke. As soon as he pulled into the parking lot, he looked to see if he could find Yuri's car and luckily there was a parking space right next to his.

"Hey Clarke, you can go in without me. I need to change really quick," Cody said, as he remembered the flask he brought for Woods and the weed he needed to get from Oliver. He sent a text to everyone letting them know that he was there.

He already knew Ashley would be there, and he knew Dustin's dry ass would be there. He didn't like him. There was something about Dustin that got under his skin and every time they met it was always a fight. Sometimes physical, sometimes just an argument, but tonight he didn't come to fight. He would try his best to have a fun night and not let it go to waste pummeling Dustin. Using the spare key Yuri gave him to his car, he unlocked it and grabbed the pair of pants. Leave it to Yuri to be a fashionista. The pants were black and hugged in just the right areas. They were very comfortable. There was an embossed floral design on the pants that gave them a high-quality feel. Very expensive. Cody wondered how much Yuri had spent on the pants. Quickly, he took his pants off behind the door of Yuri's car and slipped the pants Yuri bought him on. They fit so well. Next, he needed to get a shirt from Woods. His current shirt was nice, but something more palatable was needed. Woods had texted him as soon as he'd gotten to the dance. Cody knew he was inside. He used Yuri's mirror to make sure he looked good and placed his pinstripe pants back in his car before locking both vehicles. He slipped the flask into his pocket for safekeeping. Now the task of finding Oliver and Woods.

The music was thumping. He could feel it through his feet, and he already noticed his peers were grooving, but the voice sounded familiar and he noticed Yuri on a stage singing. He was grooving and Cody had to admit that Yuri was in his element on stage. The guy was great at football, but on the stage where he shined and Cody couldn't help but bob his head to the music. Yuri was singing a 90s song. As his eyes scanned the crowd, he noticed Woods sitting. He'd have to drop the flask off to him after he found Oliver. His eyes scanned once more and he noticed Ashley talking to Oliver and he noticed Dustin with her.

It happened so quickly. Cody had managed to make his way to Ashley and Dustin, and before anyone could stop him, Cody tackled Dustin to the ground.

Song Yuri is singing > What is Love?

Yuri stepped on the stage and tested the mic before speaking.

"Welcome to Homecoming 2023. This year we are doing things a little differently. Highgate and Eastway have come together to celebrate, and after an amazing game why not? Tonight I'll be your entertainment and for those who don't know me, my name is Yuri."

The crowd was receptive to his introduction and he continued on.

"I'll be singing three songs tonight, and in between each song, you'll get random musical intermissions to dance, chill, or do whatever. The first song will be from the 90s because for some reason the student body voted on this. Don't ask me why," Yuri said, laughing a little as the crowd also laughed, "the second song will be from the 2000s, and the last song will be one that I'm sure all of you will know. I hope you enjoy and let's have a blast."

The music started and Yuri started singing. Immediately a majority of the students started dancing and swaying to the music. Yuri's voice was so melodic. He was truly gifted. As he sang, he noticed Amal sitting in a corner. He smiled, letting the music take over as his voice filled the gymnasium.

After the song was done, Yuri bowed and thanked everyone, and placed the mic on the DJ stand as the DJ began playing random music. He moved slowly in Amal's direction. Amal was head-deep in his phone and Yuri leaned over his shoulder. Amal smelled good. His mind flooded with impure thoughts, but one thought playfully danced in his mind. What was the name of the cologne Amal was wearing, or was it his natural scent? Then another popped into his mind. How did his lips feel?

"I hope you are having a blast," Yuri said, gently into Amal's ear, almost sensually.

I wanted to leave

Oliver’s stepsister Ashley approached him from the side, as though he were an easily-startled horse, arm-in-arm with her boyfriend Dustin. The two of them were a welcome sight for the overwhelmed sophomore, who gave a lopsided half-smile and a shy wave as he kept looking over his shoulder in case of more incoming interactions. Luckily, the rest of the party seemed to be leaving him be, at least for now.

He didn’t quite know how to answer Ashley’s question, though… How was he holding up, exactly? He had no idea. It was loud in here and everything seemed blurry and out of place.
“Dunno…” Oliver mumbled into his sleeve, backing further into the corner. “Just business.” He subtly tapped his pocket, knowing that Ashley would understand why he’d come here. He had clients to meet.

Speaking of which, his first customer Cody couldn’t have picked a more convenient time to show up to the party, dressed in an eye-catchingly stylish pair of trousers.

“Oh, hey Cody–”

Oliver’s greeting was interrupted by an earsplitting crash. Both Cody and Dustin were now on the floor.
Not again…

Oliver had a bit of a delayed reaction, freezing up like a deer in the headlights of an oncoming car as his brain fought to process the sudden change in the situation. In a fraction of a second, the last few threads of peace had been ripped from Oliver’s grasp and he was now yet again watching a violent teenage wrestling match on the dance floor.

After a few moments of standing awkwardly still, blinking in surprise, Oliver yelped and jumped back to get out of the way of the brawl.
Oh no.
This was bad. This was very bad.

There was only one thing Oliver could think to do that had any hope of breaking up the fight. Though he was struggling to breathe through the panic, he made haste and rummaged through his blazer pocket for the right item.

“C-catch!”

His fingers slipped slightly, and he accidentally flung a gram of weed into Cody’s eye.

“...Oops.”

Great. Now the situation had gone from bad to worse.

Giovanni woke up, once again alone in the large bed, the black sheets soft as he felt the silk against his skin. Pulling back the covers, he pulls on a pair of shorts and grabs his phone. Seeing the list of notifications, Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, all the usual suspects. Making an espresso as he scrolled through, giving the typical reactions for a social media influencer, thumbs up, heart emojis among other things. Checking the time he grabbed his things and got into his car, a pretty sweet Black BMW.

Deciding an espresso was not enough coffee, he stopped in a small coffee place on the way to school. While a bit more expensive, they actually did coffee an Italian would tolerate. Getting a latte and a croissant, he soon was on the road and pulling into the student parking lot. Shutting the car off, he checked his phone seeing no response. Getting a bit irritated he got out of the car, drinking his latte as he headed for home room.

The ongoing lack of a response of any kind seemed to be souring Gio’s mood by the hour. Sitting near the back of the room, he scrolled through his phone idly waiting for the day to begin. The news of the shared prom went as expected with the student body, a lot of apprehension, thoughts it had been a joke someone started as a rumour and downright hostility. It was going to be a disaster and Gio was determined to have no part in it, show up to see it fall to pieces sure. It would be like seeing a car crash, you knew you should not look but you could not help yourself out of morbid fascination.

Cole Casablancas
Cole Casablanca came from a long family history of football players. His grandfather was a big time football player back in the day, his father was one of the best football players to ever play at Highgate High. The man had a full athletic scholarship to play football at University of Texas but got hurt his last game of his senior year at Highgate. Then of course Cole's three older brothers Preston, Jesse and Gavin all played as well. Thats really how Cole fell in love with the sport when he was a little kid, It was watching his older brothers play. The four boys would also play 2 on 2 football in their yard at home all the time. Now all these years later and all four Casablancas boys were now in high school together, their parents had the four of them pretty quickly and they were all just one grade apart from each other. Even though Cole was the baby of the family and was just a freshman he was able to make the varsity team and be on the same team with his brothers. Cole was the backup quarterback. His oldest brother Preston was the varsity team's starting quarterback and was voted as captain by the team. So while Cole would sit the bench for the varsity team he was also starting quarterback for the JV team. The coaches wanted to make sure he got playing time since next season when Cole would be a sophomore he was going to take over for Preston who will be going off to college. The jv team played their games on Thursday nights while the Varsity team would play their games on Friday nights, and in Highgate Texas there was nothing bigger than a Friday night. The whole town would shut down and pretty much the whole town would be at Highgate football game. And the homecoming game was no different. Highgate played their rivals Eastway high and in embarrassing fashion Highgate got killed. From the vert start Eastway was all over them and the game got out of hand quickly. Cole watched the whole game from the bench as his team just couldn't get anything going and they lost the game. To make matters worse they had to share their homecoming dance with Eastway because Eastway's gym burnt down. Cole's very first homecoming dance was going to be shared with his rival school that he didn't want much to do with.

Even though Cole was pissed that their team lost the game, at this point it was over and there wasn't much else he could do except go to the dance and enjoy himself. Cole was a very popular kid within his grade and the school, he was a great athlete and was an attractive guy if he did say so himself. He also always tried not to carry himself like a jerk like some jocks or popular kids could be. He tried to stay as down to earth as he could. Plus his brothers wouldn't let him get like that even though he might be the best athlete out of the four they always knew how to bring him down to earth with their playful mocking of him. Anyway it was time for the homecoming dance and Cole wanted to make sure he made a good appearance.

Cole walked into the gym and his head immediately started bouncing a little as the music hit his ears, the dj was playing something good and the gym was packed with students from both high schools. Cole would smile and clap up a could of people he saw that he knew as he made his way over to where the refreshments were. Cole wanted to grab a bottle of water before seeing where this night would take him.

The foreign exchange student groaned as he turned under the soft comforter. It had come as a shock to Yuri when he discovered that Terri slept naked, but it wasn't strange to Terri. Ever since he could remember, he slept without clothes. It was all about comfort and he was most comfortable in his birthday suit. The Choi's house had a full-size guest house off to the side of the property and that is where he stayed. Yuri and Yuri's mom checked on Terri every day to make sure he was comfortable and had what he needed. Every other night, Yuri's mom would cook, and every weekend they would go out to eat. Yuri's dad was always away for business. Terri had come to America for the Junior Foreign Exchange Program that Highgate was offering just so that he could better his English and see what the American education system was like. Terri enjoyed it so much and performed so well with his grades that he was allowed to stay for his Senior year. Terri was fine with it, though he did get to visit his family on summer break. He couldn't wait to graduate and go to college. He doesn't know where he wants to go to college, but his parents are very supportive of him choosing a university in America. When Yuri and Terri first met, there was a bit of a spark that occurred. Terri and Yuri did eventually explore that path at one of the parties they went to, but after that incident, Terry and Yuri have become really close friends. They decided not to tell anyone because Yuri wanted to protect him. Yuri's mom absolutely adores Terri and it shows in how she approaches him.

As the alarm clock blared on the nightstand next to the king-size bed. Terri's hand slammed down on it and managed to touch the right button to turn it off. Even though he was used to getting up early for school, it still managed to annoy him. Terri had gotten used to America, but he was still new to some of the things he was learning on Twitter from those who went to Eastway and Highgate. Some of it was a culture shock, especially how forward people were. Ever since Senior year started, so many peers have flirted with him and attempted to sleep with him, and he's had the hardest time saying no. Part of him wants to explore that forbidden side, and part of him knows he is here to learn and focus on his schoolwork. That doesn't stop Yuri from being a bad influence and taking him to every party he can think of. Terri had seen so many makeout sessions, so many intoxicated teenagers, enough to fill the rest of his time in America. He'd read all of the flyers for the Homecoming Game, and he was sure at the Homecoming Dance it would be filled with testosterone-driven teenagers looking to score. Even though he had some inhibitions, Terri was looking forward to having a nice night. Terri was no angel, that much was certain. At the end of Junior year, leading into Senior year, Terri met a guy named Jesse. He didn't know how to feel about him. He felt attraction, but he could feel that Jesse was hiding something. Eventually, Terri found there was mutual attraction and the two began seeing each other, in secret. Terri told no one, not even Yuri. Something about it, the mystery, the thrill, it all made every session that much better.

Terri wondered if Jesse would be at the homecoming dance. It was Highgate versus Eastway for the homecoming game, and while Terri didn't care about football, Yuri was playing and he would support him. Terri knew there was bound to be at least one fight when news that Eastway would be joining them for the Homecoming Dance after the game.

After his shower, Terri got dressed and met Yuri in the front yard. Yuri took care of driving Terri wherever he needed to go, and they often talked about life after high school. Today was no different. The ride to school was filled with Yuri's voice singing along to whatever tune his phone decided to play. Terri smile and joined in whenever a song he knew played.

"So, has anyone interesting caught your eye yet?" Yuri asked, a smirk on his face.

Terri immediately blushed and cleared his throat when he realized his face was hot.

"No, I'm too busy with classes, and preparing for Academic Derby. I don't have time to date," Terri lied. There was someone who'd caught his eye. He only wondered if he'd caught theirs. Aside from the sex, they didn't talk much. It was often a sexual encounter whenever they met, and then he would leave. There was always an excuse, and Terri was okay with that. He didn't know much about him, but it was the comfort of being held after that allowed him to feel something.

"Yea, sure," Yuri replied, still smirking, "tell me when you're ready. Anyways, after the game, I have to come back to the house and get dressed for the dance. I know you have to as well, so do you want to ride with me to the dance?"

"Nah, you have to get there early to sing, I'll come a little later," Terri said, "besides, I really want to avoid any fights if I can."

"Good luck with that. Eastway's gym burned down, so they're partying with us. Get ready for the time of our lives."

Classes went by as they normally did, and before Terri realized it, it was the end of the school day and preparation for the homecoming game was underway. Terri was in the bleachers cheering for his friend and the game was so close, but one of the members on Eastway managed to make the winning touchdown. Highgate's side booed while Eastway's side went up in a roar of excitement. Terri sighed and clapped his hand as he watched the interaction. After the game, everyone dispersed pretty quickly. They all had to get home to get dressed. This was going to be a night of cute dresses and sexy outfits.

Yuri's mom had purchased Terri an outfit, but she didn't realize that the entire back of the shirt was see-through. Yuri convinced her that Terri was fine with it, and in truth he was. Terri's body was nothing to be ashamed of, he spent a lot of time working out, and he didn't mind if the shirt flashed a little of what he had. The suit was a brick red with black pants and the shirt was black. As Terri got dressed, he couldn't help but smile. This year was his last year of high school. At the end was graduation. Tonight was going to be a blast and he was going to have fun. He sprayed on some perfume gifted to him by Yuri and waited for his ride. Not moments after arriving at the homecoming dance, he already could hear the commotion of a fight. Sighing, he observed for a moment to see if anyone would interject and nobody did. A majority created a circle around the two guys exchanging blows on the floor. Terri had seen enough. He managed to grab Cody and pull him as if he weighed nothing. He stepped between them.

"That's enough you two," Terri said, glancing between Cody and Dustin. Cody tried to go again, but Terri pushed him and stepped into his face. "If you want to fight so bad, fight me."

Cody looked at Terri and then at Cody.

"I have no beef with you Terri," Cody said, backing away. "This isn't over Dustin."

Terri watched as Cody adjusted his clothes before departing. Terri turned to look at Dustin who seemed to have gotten the worse end of it all. It didn't take long for everyone to calm down and the dancing to resume. Terri found himself a spot near a wall, away from any trouble, but easy to view.
