i'm not super new to this whole roleplaying thing, so maybe it's just me but i've had instances in the past where i've talked to potential partners only for things to ultimately just...not go anywhere? it's odd but we'd get along great and come up with so many ideas but then they'd ghost on me after i send the starter. and because they never actually say why i'm not sure what to think? were our writing styles not compatible? is there something wrong with my writing? did something come up in their lives or did they just suddenly lose interest? so now almost every time i talk to someone new i have all of those possibilities floating around in my head and it makes me hesitate to really dive into new stories with people...if i know there's a problem then i'd want to fix it but if there's no communication (they leave without a word and i honestly don't want to bother them beyong that point?) then what else can i do to...better my 'writer self-esteem' i guess.
can anyone else relate?
also note that i only write this way for purely aesthetic reasons. i definitely know how to write properly.
can anyone else relate?
