[Cliche "teleported to magical land" Role-play approaching. Originally placed in Fantasy but the majority of this role-play will take place in the futuristic half of the land.]
Destiny of LIDD

Ah, the wonderful world of Lidd. Small, but wonderful.

Nothing is more soothing than listening to the grass shuffle in the wind, the birds sore across the sky, and the cry of the long, never-ending green lands in the morning.

It was a magical place. Deep within the forest lies ancient, Aztec-inspired temples, hidden by the trees; and huge cities on the shore. Along the beach, connecting the grassy green hills and the ocean, is a city, built with the finest steel walls and the craftsmanship of unearthly creatures from the far future. This city, simply titled Metallic City, stands out among the beautiful forests, for it resembles a city of robots and technology. The Metallic City favors two things; security...and racing. Using a universal device, the higher ups of the Metallic City created various racing vehicles from various universes and pit willing racers into crazy tracks across, above, & below their mechanical metropolis. In fact, it's tradition to host races on their grand track in the center of their city, and the best part is; it's free to attend (for both the racers and the watchers.) Even with twenty million people watching, you could still have thousands of racers on the track. The Metallic City Police Force, however, isn't so grand in comparison.
MCPF, or the longass name I just listed above, is seriously flawed. Not only is the unusually small prisons hardly guarded and the police are often attacking the wrong people, but they just don't care. The Metallic City Military, however, is very serious on criminals (they put the "security" in "security...and racing.")

...

Further down the coast you'll find a small port where scum and bounty hunters rest, along with the few who couldn't make it into the Metallic City. Traveling even farther will bring you to the Outskirts. Small bamboo huts, buildings in the trees, and a large castle-like building on the coast are what you'd find here, as well as beautiful pink and blue trees.

Lidd's beauty can't be matched, though being completely fair, there was nothing to match it with. There were no other cities or villages or anything, really. On this planet the size of our Earth's Moon, the only known civilization were the ones in the Outskirts, Ancient Temples, City in the Trees, Metallic City, & The Port.

Now, where do you come in?
Ever heard of The Chronicles of Narnia?
You, along with a few other people have been transported to Lidd. You don't know how, or why; all you remember is that night at the Arcade. Most of you guys were already inside, playing Pac-Man or Galaga, though the other half came due to interest from the light that appeared. You remembered a bright light emitting inside the Arcade Plaza and running in (if you weren't already in), curious to why it shined so bright inside the building, and then boom: You were in this strange world.

None of you guys appeared in Metallic City, but rather various locations in the grasslands and forests. You had no idea how to return home; hell, you probably won't return home, so you'd best get comfortable here. You won't be leaving anytime soon.

Basically:

You are one of a group of humans who, when sucked into a strange light in an Arcade, are transported to a strange land called Lidd. During the trip, most of you all are separated. Entering Lidd, you realize you definitely aren't in Kansas anymore. Along a huge grassy mountain range and a long beach, there is a huge metal city, a small port of bounty hunters and generally nasty people, a beautiful pink-treed mountain range with bamboo huts and tree villages (but most importantly a Japanese-inspired temple on the coast). Behind the mountains are ancient temples, and dark forests (as well as normal forests.)

There's a high chance you're not returning to Earth, so you'd better get used to the wackily beautiful world of Lidd. There's many possibilities, like becoming/fighting Ninjas, becoming/fighting Cyborgs, becoming/fighting Wizards (Is this getting redundant yet?)

Possible Locations:
(Heading towards) Metallic City - (0/4)
(Heading towards) Outskirts - (0/3)
(Heading towards) The Port - (0/3)
(Heading towards) Ancient Temples - (0/2)
[May vary depending on player count.]

Rules:

I - This roleplay will be very story driven at times, so don't be shocked when I suddenly take lead of some scenes. It's just to ensure we don't go too far offtrack of the main storyline.
II - Your max character limit is three, though that number won't matter once the role-play begins (all characters will be a human transported to Lidd, and all humans will be transported at the same exact time. Once we start, the role-play closes, ) so I suggest using it wisely.
III - Typical RPNation rules you should known by now.
IV - You are a normal human; you do not have supernatural hidden abilities. Though there will be two or three time skips via cliche training montages and whatnot, so overtime, your character will become stronger.

Metallic City
Right in the middle of the shore line lies a huge city. Blah blah blah, already told you guys that. Here's the juicy bits I haven't gotten too yet.

Starting in a huge stadium in the center of the Metallic City, you and countless others ready your engines. When the fourth line turns on, you accelerate forward, drifting through fast paced twists and turns through above, below, and around the normal city streets on a separate road. As the track slowly approaches the end of the city, you are then launched hundreds of the feet in the air.
As you direct your vehicle towards the ground, you see the next track facing exactly downwards into the ground. You and your fellow racers (hopefully) land on the tracks and ride down until you're slowly ramped forward, and you now approach a volcanic tunnel system below Lidd and race around countless streams and falls of lava. Finally, after a long trip in the Lava Mining Systems below ground, you and the other racers slowly descend up into another shoot, where you all then land back on the track in the city and make your way to the finish line. All of this in a matter of one hour. Yeah, it's a longass track. Countless people die in it too.
There are no rules, except of course the one that keeps you from being a smartass and driving backwards at the start line, and then drive forward and "finishing the race." Yeah, you'd probably be grabbed from your vehicle and beaten to death on the track if you do that kinda shit.
As stated, you can choose any vehicle you like for the race (example being Speed Racer's car or an Akira bike), so that also means any kind of weaponry on it, though you're only allowed three attachments, whether it be just a normal blaster added to the car doors or something like Joker's laughing gas bombs attached to the roof. You get the gist of it. Nothing powerfully op (for both attachments and the vehicle itself), because I assure you the higher ups of the Metallic City have evened out the play field of the race.
>Holding a blaster in your hand to shoot other racers from your window is allowed, thought that counts as one of your attachments<
>Any cosmetics you add to the vehicle is fine, as long as they don't affect the actual vehicle itself (Ex: Ghostbuster Logo on car door)<
>Outside of a race, you can still use your vehicle as long as the weapons are deactivated or taken off. That rule only applies to the Metallic City though, as your weapons are fine outside of the city<

Ancient Temples
If you're lucky enter to survive the Dark Forest (or if you just took the way around), you'll most likely approach the 3 Ancient Temples, deep with the woods. No one knows how or why they're there, but they have been seen to be quite useful. Whatever ancient force that once lived here has passed away, and in the meantime, various refugees from other worlds or criminals have set up camps inside the Ancient Temples. There are no rules inside these camps, except no massacres. That rule is punishable by death or exile, depending on the damage caused.

Forest.jpg
Dark Forest
Travel far from the City of the Trees and you will find ourself in the Dark Forest. Many dark creatures lie here, and you would be a fool to travel to here alone. There are no known points of civilization in this forest, and the people of Lidd would like to keep it that way.

Grassy Mountain Range
Behind the coast lies the Mountains. There isn't much to them, really.

Yeah, that's about it.

The Outskirts
Image I:
Leaving The Port, you'll find the Ancient Temple of Moondhai, an ancient samurai knight (right, should probably tell now; Ninjas and Knights in this world are combined; more on that in the role-play) who trained a generation of knights in various fighting and sorcery techniques. Moondhai was, and still is, known as the greatest teacher from all across the land.
Image II:
Deep within the forest behind the Mountains rests one large city in the trees. While much isn't known about the roots (heh, get it?) of this place, many consider it the Spiritual resting place of the Gods and Goddesses who still breathed so long ago. Travelers (who prefer polite company and not crazy drunks) often times stop here as a rest point rather The Port, and a wise choice, that is too. Anyone entering the City in the Trees are greeted with polite smiles and eager questions, as the Tree People are very interested in the ones who stop by.
Though disrespect the Trees and/or their Gods/Goddesses, and you will not find mercy in their attacks.

The Port
Just beside the Outskirts lies The Port, a small village. It may not look like much, but inside these buildings are taverns full of mercenaries and raunchy traders. Despite being called The Port, it really isn't one. Many call it the place where you say goodbye to leaving friends. Why, you ask? Since it's a Port, ships come and go, right? Well ships go, but they definitely don't come back.
Many have tried to sail into the horizon, looking for new land, but despite how strong, how swift, how "amazing awesome" your ship was, you were never heard of again. Of course, rumors spread those who left found a new land and decided to stay, forgetting about the ones who live here, though no one dared to prove such a theory. Though to travelers, or anyone who doesn't stay here, The Port is "just the place that connects the Metallic City to the Outskirts."

Final:
Any questions? I will be happy to oblige.
