*Already have enough interest in the main plot.*
But you can still read through my rules/preferences and suggest a different plot, if you feel so inclined!
Hello!
I'm Suzi, I'm 26, and I love medieval-fantasy roleplays. I'm looking for a partner for this one specific plot. It has gone through several revisions and failed attempts, so I'm very attached to it and hoping to make it work out this time. But first, here's a bit about me and my RP preferences:
So, there you have it. If you like my style, feel we'd get along well, and you're interested in the plot, please PM me about the character you have in mind. If I get more than one interested potential-partner I may compare RP styles and pick, or might run multiple versions of the plot, so don't hesitate to post even if someone else already has. I might also be open to trying other plots, if the story intrigues me (must be medieval-fantasy and comedic/light-hearted). Looking forward to hearing from you!
That's everything!
Thanks for stopping by!
Special thanks to anyone who actually read all that.

About Me
I've been roleplaying on and off for over 10 years, both in play-by-post style on forums and emails, and real-time script-style on an MMO. I am working on my art skills, so I might include a sketch or illustration with my posts from time to time. I'm cool with OOC chat about whatever, too.
I want . . .
. . . stories that are comedic and mostly light-hearted, but not lacking in depth and occasional drama.
. . . quirky, awkward, goofy, and emotional scenarios.
. . . to explore relationships and love outside of romance. (E.g. family bonds, new and old friendships, and strangers or enemies brought together for some reason, etc.)
. . . to create characters that struggle and make mistakes and learn and grow.
. . . to build rich, magical worlds for our characters to discover.
Most of all, I just want to create things with people and have fun with it. If that all sounds good to you, read on.
My Rules:
#1 Keep the story moving
- Add your own ideas into the mix. This is a collaboration. Don't be afraid to share whatever inspiration strikes you, to help direct the flow of the story or shake things up.
- Time skip boring, slow, and unnecessary scenes. No need for us to narrate every moment of every day. If nothing interesting is going on, we skip ahead.
- We must have regular OOC chats to discuss the state of the RP and plan the future of it
- I'm not exactly against it, I'm just not interested in it. I'd much rather explore other kinds of relationships. So, strictly platonic or familial love only.
- The only exception would be if the roleplay has gone on for quite some time, providing plenty of character development and evidence of clear chemistry between the characters.
#3 Quality over quantity
- My posts average 1-2 paragraphs, and I always do my best to ensure each one moves the story along. Some will be longer or shorter, depending on what the story demands. I dislike over-the-top, unnecessary descriptions and refuse to pad up my posts just to meet some arbitrary paragraph requirement. I'm also of the opinion that shorter posts (when done right) move the RP along more effectively than longer ones.
- Gore, violence, and profanity kept to a minimum. Obviously no sexual content, we're probably not doing romance anyway.
- Post as frequently as you care to or are able. Depending on my schedule, mood, and inspiration, I'll post anywhere from a few times a day to once a week.
- Getting bored? Don't like where the story is going, but don't want to give up on it yet? Tell me! It's highly likely I'm feeling the same, and we can find a way to liven the story up again.
- Everyone says this, and I'm guilty of breaking this rule myself, but if you've lost interest or won't be posting again for a while/forever, maybe let me know? I'll try to do the same.
- If you disappear and I was particularly invested in our plot, I might message to remind you of it once or twice. Feel free to do the same to me, in fact I encourage it.
- I like to make new friends, so chats about non-RP things are more than welcome!
- Looking for partners who are 20+, please. I'm more comfortable with people around my own age.
- I prefer thread roleplays, but I'm willing to use Skype, Discord, or PM if necessary.
- Playing multiple characters is encouraged but not required. I may do so if/when I feel so inclined.
- Third person, past tense, unless you have a really good reason to break that form, but lets talk about it first.
Now that that's out of the way, lets get to the plot!- Add your own ideas into the mix. This is a collaboration. Don't be afraid to share whatever inspiration strikes you, to help direct the flow of the story or shake things up.
The Plot . . .
Trapped in Mortal Form
. . . The Story
Bazoran the Destroyer [my character] is a wicked and powerful demon, known for terrorizing countless worlds across multiple dimensions. Or he was, until some goody-two-shoes goddess of justice came along and cast a spell upon him, turning him into a mortal human who must do a number of good deeds if he wishes to regain his true form and former power. The goddess didn't just set him loose on the world, either, but saw fit to orchestrate a guide/babysitter to look after him. Which brings us to [your character], a normal human [guy or girl], who meets the former-demon right after this happened, and hijinks ensue.
. . . Your Character
As I said, I've tried this plot a few times without success (usually due to a loss of interest from one or both participants). So, having seen a few things that didn't resonate well with me in the past, there are some details I'm going to be a bit picky on. When it comes to your character, I have these requirements:
- The character must be human, and fairly normal too. No unusual abilities.
- They must have a strong will, strong sense of right and wrong, and an upbeat and friendly personality, as I believe these traits will most effectively play off of the demon's attitude and behavior.
- They should have some goal they are trying to achieve which can be explored as part of the plot. Preferably a wholesome one, since they're supposed to be a good example for Baz, and it could be something he ultimately has to/chooses to help them with, depending on how the story plays out. Would also be useful if the goal requires traveling.
. . . Other Details
- I really want to explore this as a comedic adventure, with the former-demon having to learn to deal with normal mortal things like eating and sleeping, and learning to be nice.
- Perhaps the two characters are somehow stuck together (the goddess could have put some magical bind on them so they can't exceed a certain distance away from each other, or something), and your character may or may not be thrilled about this. Or maybe they like the challenge! Up to you.
- Ideally, this would be a long-term story, with some chapter/episodic-like mini-quests of doing good deeds along with an over-arcing plot to be decided between us. Maybe something to do with your character's past and goals, or some evil force our characters get mixed up with and have to take down, or both or neither, whatever!
- Worldbuilding is encouraged. For now I'm just picturing a generic fantasy adventure land (medieval please, it's all I crave lately). Dragons, knights and wizards, elves and goblins, vast and dangerous lands to wander, etc.
- I already have a first post written up from a previous attempt, if you want to see a sample of my writing and get a feel for the story itself (there's some lore in it too). If it needs to change due to plot stuff we decide on ahead of time, I'll be happy to do so. Keep in mind: this first post is longer than my usual 1-2 paragraph average, due to introducing the character and setting the scene.
The demon wasn't certain how he'd caught the goddess's attention. He had only just begun to build a following in this mortal realm, far from the demon hordes and monster armies he had commanded on other worlds, in previous apocalyptic campaigns. No, just an itty-bitty cult, a few human sacrifices, enough to give him presence here and break free of the Dark Plane... nothing that should have warranted full-on Divine Intervention just yet. But somehow he had been noticed, and she had intervened, preaching about holy fire and justice. The battle between them lasted for days; they seemed to be evenly matched. They fought without rest, sometimes on land, sometimes in the air, across miles of various terrain. Never one to back down from a challenge, the demon delighted in this duel, though he would have enjoyed a bit more carnage and collateral damage. The goddess had an annoying habit of always drawing them away from any signs of civilization.
At last, in the middle of the fourth night of battle, the demon knew his triumph was approaching. That incessant white-hot light emanating from her eyes was fading. The goddess's blows and strikes became clumsy, poorly calculated. And he was certain that more of her blood had been spilt than his. She had even begun mumbling incoherently whenever she had a moment to catch her breath. He dealt what was sure to be the final blow, swinging his great, double-bladed, blood-soaked axe, adorned with the skulls of fallen foes, ready to claim another...
Before the blade made contact but too late for him to change it's course, the demon noticed a dazzling grin upon the goddess's lips, as she uttered one last word, and erupted into blinding, piercing light.
Pain coursed through his body and seized his mind, all senses, all thought drowned out by the agonizing sensation. Like being consumed by fire and a thousand knives, and then turned inside out and back again, this pain was nothing he'd ever experienced before. He'd fought in countless battles, faced numberless hordes of foes, even tasted defeat now and then and had to return to the Dark Plane to recover, but never had he felt like this. He bore it for less time than he'd care to admit, and then lost consciousness.
...
When he began to regain his senses some time later, he thought at first he might be paralyzed. It took a lot of coaxing to get his limbs to move, an inch here and there, and the way in which they moved felt... wrong. Though he was burdened with weariness he had the sense that he had lost mass somehow. His body felt foreign and twitchy. He had yet to keep his eyes open for more than a second, as the midday sun struck him with such ferocity it sent fresh waves of searing pain through his skull. However, as he managed to maneuver into an upright position and take stock of himself, he began to realize what was missing, and could no longer bear to forego sight.
His wings were gone, for starters. The lack of their weight at his back nearly caused him to pitch forward, even though he'd yet to stand. Cursing at the ache surging through his head, he squinted down at himself. The first thing he could comprehend was that the ground was far nearer than usual. Rather than thick, broad limbs and torso of rolling muscle and tough, thorny hide, the body before him -- his body -- was a spongy, pale, wiry little travesty. He gaped at his hands -- wriggling, stubby twigs of fingers in place of his once-terrifying claws -- and saw that they were trembling. Trembling! He did not tremble! He made others shake in terror and wet themselves before squashing them beneath his mighty feet! Now, his feet didn't look capable of supporting even this thin, frail body he was trapped in. Mind reeling, he clutched at his throbbing skull, then probed all around it. His horns were missing too, no trace of them. In immense frustration and disgust, he tugged at the limp, tangled locks of black hair that had replaced his glorious full mane, and let out a rage-fueled roar. Or rather, it was meant to be a rage-fueled roar, but to his ears sounded like a pathetic, pained scream, a sound he associated with his victims, not something that should be coming from himself.
How was this possible? How could this be? The demon-turned-human cast his gaze wildly about, in search of answers amidst the serene forest clearing he found himself in.
So, there you have it. If you like my style, feel we'd get along well, and you're interested in the plot, please PM me about the character you have in mind.
