The only tastes she enjoys are from sweet drinks and a few specific candies.

Adrenaline is a proof of that. Itโ€™s never enough, but being in a roller coaster, doing parkour through the roofs, doing some drugs, driving fast and basically anything that put her life in risk, or at least it feels that way, make her feel alive.

Even if she is annoying, whenever Anna feels lonely, Nicky is the one she calls.

Wealth Status:
Even if she lives with her parents in their mortgaged house, she never lacked food or any basic needs.

History/Background
~ Will be revealed throughout the story ~

White pills were strewn about and the bottle that contained them had either been emptied out in the girl's stomach or on the floor. Arius was going to guess the latter. She had been shaking and sweating for the last hour before mercifully passing out. Arius let out a sigh of relief, the tension dropping from his muscles. It was always painful watching people suffer, this time was especially hard. She looks so young too he thought and a thought intruded in his mind. No he couldn't, it was against the rules. She was going to die. He was going to take her soul to the underworld. But something about it seemed so tragic, as if she were a light that was doomed to be put out at an early age. He hesitantly touched the phone on the table and dialed 9 1 1. "911 what's your emergency?" The woman dispatcher asked immediately. "There's a young woman on the floor of this apartment. 7D Baxter Street." He hung up the phone before she could say anything else. Humans could hear him, but they could never see him.

The emergency vehicles and ambulances got there in record time. They had loaded her up in a stretcher and taken her to the nearest hospital, where her stomach was pumped and she vomited over the course of several days. But he thought she had survived. He always checked up on her occasionally, but she never was in any danger and he couldn't communicate with humans, such were the rules. Then one night he saw a car go over the bridge in the area he was assigned. It was the same girl with short brown hair and pale, paler than even when he saw her that night. She had been put in the hospital and nurses checked her vitals all night before it was declared she would need several weeks there and some tests to gauge her muscle function. Arius sat next to her bed and placed his hand next to hers. "You always seem to get in trouble don't you?"

'I'm going to be in a huge problem' was the last thing she thought before the airbag deployed right into her face. That hurt a lot more than it should. Could you imagine how a wheel would feel against your face if a huge bag of air hurt that much? Anna didn't want to know. She might enjoyed driving fast, specially when the hallucinogen effects of LSD altered her senses, but if there was something she didn't enjoy was pain. And even if sometimes the pain was worth it, this wasn't one of that times. The car went off the bridge, but luckily it was right at the end of it, and instead of sinking into the lake, it landed to the grass. The fall was still about 10 fts high and as the car landed slightly by the side, it turned two times to the side.

Seeing your life in a few minutes before dying was probably a lie to romanticize death. Instead of seeing the best and happiest moments of the 21 years she lived on Earth, she was seeing the first time she almost died. Actually, she was only remembering that guy. The guy that was with her at the moment of her first death. Of course, it was only some kind of imaginary friend. Maybe a friend her head made for her so that she wouldn't die alone. Anne wished he was there with her at that moment, now that she was dying for real. But she couldn't see him. She could just picture him in her head.

The next thing she remembered was the ticking noise of the machine controlling her heartbeats. The girl was exhausted, she couldn't even open her eyes. She was dying of thirst. That would have been amazing... she survived the car accident just to die of thirst in the hospital. She definitely had to get some water. "You always seem to get in trouble don't you?" Looked like she was not alone. That was splendid because she seriously doubted she was strong enough to get a glass of water at that moment.

"W... wat..r" whispered and gasped slowly. She barely opened her eyes after it and saw him. Her dying partner. He didn't miss this time after all. Anna slightly smiled before falling into unconsciousness once again.

Arius eyebrows shot up in surprise. How could she- humans couldn't see them could they? Maybe she was close so close to death she could? His brows furrowed and immediately went to the get a glass and get water. The objects he touched turned invisible until he let them go, or maybe it wouldn't. This seemed to be all sorts of odd. He carefully walked back and slowly tricked the water in her open mouth. Humans always looked so peaceful when they were sleeping. Bzz! his cell rang. He looked up the map. Shadow travel could get there in a few seconds. He came to collect the souls of a person who had cancer, and a child who died of malnutrition. Right before the babe died, it looked up blankly into the sky, unseeing, and then suddenly it saw him. Arius greeted him with a wry smile. "Welcome little one. Come with me" He walked with the child for awhile down to the underworld. The child's eyes were bright and nothing escaped its notice. It's been awhile since I've seen the livelihood of a child he thought. The worst kind of deaths were the ones that were preventable, and not inevitable. When he got back to the girl who seemed to notice him's room he walked right up to her. "Hey. Open your eyes" he said in a whisper as he bent down. He waved a hand in front of her face. If she heard him, that would make sense, but would she see him? He waited for her to react with a baited breath.

When the glass of water was delivered to her mouth she received it gladly and took a few sips. It made her feel better and was able to sleep once again. Anna was having the weirdest dreams, which didn't even make sense to put into words. Was it because of her drugs or the ones they gave her for the pain? Probably both. The good thing is that she felt no pain at the moment. She remembered how the impact felt, or at least she remembered that it didn't feel good at all, but she was better than ever at the moment. At least physically, because her mind was clearly not working right.
"Hey. Open your eyes" someone told her. Why? Couldn't he see she was sleeping? What a pain in the ass, she thought to herself, not even knowing who was speaking to her.

She opened her eyes slowly and there he was, waving a hand in front of her face. That was weird. She blinked a few times to make the illusion disappear, but it didn't. Her dying partner was still in front of her, now clearer than ever. "Am I... dead?" asked him. That would certainly make sense after the horribly accident she got herself into. Anna kept blinking, still trying to make him disappear. He was definitely the same guy that was with her when she tried to take her own life. "Are you real?" added, maybe instead of dead she was in some post-traumatic shock. That would also explain her illusions.
