Dean's Accident

Roleplay Availability
Roleplay Type(s)
It was around midnight, the rain poured outside, and a thick fog covered the road. Dean didn't see the warnings for a sharp turn up ahead, and soon found himself crashing into a rocky ditch. Ambulances soon arrived on the scene. The last thing Dean can remember, is being strapped to the gurnery, then he blacked out and his mind went blank....

Sam sucked in a breath as he, Cas, and the doctor discussed Dean's injuries and eventual method of recovery. There were only a few minor physical injuries, like a broken leg and a fractured wrist. The biggest issue: was Dean's brain damage. Somehow, it reduced his mentality to that of an infant, and he would only grow to think like a toddler in the end, someday. The doctor also discussed about how Sam would need to modify their home, the Bunker, to accommodate an infant from now on. Namely one with the size of an adult.

"Ca-Can I see my brother now?" Sam asked, voice shaky.

The doctor nodded, "Yes, he's stable now, and should be waking. I'll show you too his room."

Dean slowly opened his eyes and looked around. The room was bleak, with a large window, small bedside table and a chair in the corner. He moved his arm clumsily, and whined when he felt the iv in his wrist, tugging a bit, causing him pain. He heard voices and footsteps approaching, and whimpered softly, afraid that it was a bad guy trying to get him, or something.

Opening the door, the doctor nodded for them to come in and soon left, giving Cas and Sam some privacy.

Sam gave a watery smile, "Hey, Dean. It's me...your Daddy. And this is your Uncle." He gestured to Castiel, who had a sad look in his eyes, but put on a smile.

"Hello, Dean," he rumbled.

Dean opened his mouth, and tried to speak, but all that came out were sad little gurgles and nonsensical noises. He whimpered and fussed, starting to cry. He was so confused. This tall, long haired man was supposedly his Daddy? He doesn't remember him from anywhere, or Cas, either. This was all so confusing and it was making Dean's head spin.

Going by Dean's bedside, Sam ran his fingers through his brother's hair, shushing him softly. "Hey, it's okay, Dean. We're here..." Castiel did the same, rubbing Dean's good arm and shushing him too. While neither of the two were ready for the challenges ahead, this was the least they could do. Dean had raised Sam for so long, and the younger Winchester thought this could perhaps be making it all up. Dean had never had a childhood. And Castiel just wanted to help as always, and cared about Dean and Sam.

Who were these people? Dean had never seen them before and was starting to feel uncomfortable with the idea of going home with them. Shifting a bit, Dean heard the crinkle of a diaper when he moved, and felt a wetness. He didn't like that, so he teared up, and started to cry again. Just then, a nurse walked in, carrying a stack of diapers, along with changing supplies, giving them to Sam and Cas, knowing they would need them.

"Thanks," Sam murmured, as the nurse quietly left the room, giving them the same privacy as before.

While Cas tended to Dean's crying, Sam managed to get the older's hospital gown up and struggled to change him. His face burned with having to see his brother's privates, but he knew he'd had to get used to this.

Wiping Dean's tears with his thumb, Castiel comforted, "This will be over soon, Dean."

Dean whined and fussed, trying to kick out at Sam, but was in too much pain. He wailed as he felt the cold wipes against his sensitive skin. As if things weren't bad enough, the taller started to baby talk to him, and call him a "good baby" and "little guy." But he wasn't a baby, was he? No way. It wasn't possible.

"Sorry, buddy. But it's over now," Sam cooed as he finished taping a new diaper around Dean's waist. Immediately, it seemed as if the diaper changed had brought out Sam's Daddy side, and it was going to be consistent from now on. He did wish Dean would remember them to some degree though...

Dean looked up at Sam and pouted, wanting to roll over, but he couldn't. He was stuck in that same position for a while. Or at least until his leg was healed up enough. It was now dawn outside and the noises of the city life became increasingly loud, hurting Dean's ears. He cried and covered his ears with his hands the best he could, trying to block out the noises.

Giving Dean a blanket to hold, Sam gave his brother some headphones to wear, that played soft music and just background noise. "It's okay, baby. Daddy's trying to fix it," Sam cooed, getting the headphones in place of Dean's hands.

Dean whined and fussed a bit, not liking those things being put over his ears. But once he heard the soothing music, he calmed down, and relaxed, eventually falling asleep, his good hand gripping his blanket and his feet kicking gently. The nurse walked in again, and told Sam and Cas that visiting hours were over. But they needed to go home and start ordering things for Dean's nursery, anyway.

"Bye, buddy," Sam murmured as he kissed Dean's forehead.

Castiel smiled softly at the two brothers, before doing the same, "Goodbye, Dean."

Leaving the hospital, the two men discussed on the way home the things they should start ordering. They'd need a crib, changing table, toys (lots of those, diaper supplies, bath stuff, clothes, etc.

It was going to be a long week.

Dean awoke a few hours later, to find that he was alone. He whimpered and teared up, starting to cry sadly. He hated being all alone, with no one to comfort him. It was scary. A nurse walked in to check on Dean, shushing him, and rubbing his tummy, trying to calm him down.

That morning, Sam and Cas entered Dean's room to find the former hunter's face tear-stained and sad. Sam gave a sympathetic coo, "It's okay, baby. We're here now. You're not alone anymore."

Dean looked up, and saw those two men from yesterday. He whined and tried to hide his face from them, but the taller just pulled his hands away. Dean seriously had no idea who they were and wanted to know why they kept visiting him, and calling him their baby boy.

"Hey, it's okay," Sam murmured as he held Dean's hand, rubbing small circles with his thumb.

Castiel pulled out a small teddy bear they had bought from the store yesterday, and handed it to Dean with a smile, "Here you go, little one."

Dean slowly took the bear and held it close to his face, sniffing it and smelling the scent of strawberries. It was comforting, and Dean liked it. Even though it was pinkish red. Dean gurgled and held the bear close to his chest, as he yawned, wanting to go back to sleep again.

Both men smiled, and Sam stroked Dean's hair, "You can go back to sleep, buddy. We'll still be here." Visiting hours just started, and went until the night. At least Dean liked the teddy bear, and maybe soon he could warm up to them.

Dean yawned and slowly fell asleep again, drooling heavily onto the large bib fastened around his neck. He started to unknowingly mess and wet his diaper in his slep, filling the room with a foul smell. But changing a diaper on a sleeping baby was a hard thing to do.

Both Cas and Sam wrinkled their noses at the smell, but they knew what they had to do. While Castiel kept an eye in case Dean started to wake up, Sam tried his best to change his brother. He kept the noise to a minimum, and was gentle with touches.

Dean whimpered and woke up during the change, tears forming in his green eyes, as he shifted uncomfortably. He hated being woken up, especially if he wasn't feeling well. Why couldn't they just let him sleep?

Castiel shushed Dean's whimpers, and ran his fingers through the former hunter's hair, "Sam is almost done, Dean. He had to change you."

Sam smiled apologetically as he finished taping up Dean's diaper, "I'm done now, baby."
