As for an introduction goes, welcome. I tried to make this thread look dark, as the plots below shall be dark and twisted. And before you jump the gun and start expressing your interest, I have a few rules and some information that should be followed and understood. This can provide a worthwhile experience for me and possibly you.
I like to roleplay over PM. I think it saves the trouble of setting up a thread, and we can always have two PMs, for outside chat and for the actual roleplay.
My roleplay preferences include playing male, in any situation that you or I deem necessary. I will not mind playing with another male character or a female character. Mostly whatever the plot calls for or your preference.
I don't have a defined length of responses, but they could be considered lengthy. Definitely more than one paragraph. I prefer the common phrase "quality over quantity" but that doesn't mean I want responses that are like three sentences.
I wouldn't mind having OOC conversations during the roleplay. It could help form a relationship and talk over plenty of plot elements. That being said, I wouldn't mind any help planning the story or plot, outside opinion and ideas can often make a plot even better.
(I'm sorry there's this tab glitch below. The coding messed up and I'm not quite sure how to fix it and I don't really want to fix it. You can still read it.)
Preferred Role: Muse B
The town of Vernon Hills, New Hampshire is a small town that has never seen a significant boom of new people to the town. It doesn't help that the town doesn't have much to offer other than the beautiful seclusion. In this beautiful seclusion, there are some sinister deeds taking place. In 1983, a series of murders and kidnappings occurred in the area surrounding Vernon Hills. As police investigated, the found the culprits. A ground of seven teenagers from the local high school, they claimed they were sacrificing for their demonic god. Most of the teens were sent to a mental institution, but the ones who actually killed were sent to prison for life. 33 years later, a young group of teenagers have found the stories and news clippings of 1983, and think that their predecessor's work was not finished.
Muse A is a new student to the high school, moving from out of state. Muse B is a long-living resident of Vernon Hills, and the established leader of the New Occult, the reformation of the cult from 33 years ago.
(Plot will be discussed if you find interest. Muse A could either join the cult or try to destroy it. Either way, the story may end in gruesome means.)
The introduction of social media to society has lead to a new height of social interaction and an identification to the growing generation of those connected to their cell phones. In the city of Miami, you can't go without having another WiFi signal pop up on your phone or see someone tweeting. There's a level of safety in social media, protecting your account and your choices on the internet, but what if that can't protect you in real life?
On June 19th, 2016, a young girl was murdered in her bedroom. Police found out even before they got a call from her parents, because pictures of her dead body and murderer's death messages were posted over social media, under the account of D3ATH. They have several social media accounts, Snapchat, Instagram, and Twitter. The account is encrypted and secured, so much that the websites and social media giants can't take down any of the photos or account itself. The murderer continues to go on a murdering spree, killing mostly young women who are popular on social media.
(I, of course, wish to play Muse A, or D3ATH, the hacking murderer. You, as Muse B, could be whatever. An investigator working to shut him down, someone who he plans to kill, or someone trying to find him to know who he is, or even help him out.) (This is personally my favorite plot.)
(I found this plot on tumblr, and I couldn't not include it. I would prefer Muse B.)
Muse A is driving on a dark road in the middle of the night, trying to get home before an impending thunderstorm. They peek up in the rearview mirror briefly, out of habit, though there’s no one behind them. When Muse A’s eyes return to the road, they have to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting the human figure suddenly standing in the path of their vehicle. Muse A shifts into ‘park’ as calmly as possible and gets out of the car to make sure that the person standing in the road is alright. Muse B is quiet and staring off into space, but otherwise they seemed unharmed. Worried, Muse A insists that Muse B get in the car so they can be taken to the hospital. Muse A figures thatMuse B must be in shock; they’re certainly shaken up. Muse B says nothing, but follows Muse A to the car and gets in. Muse A proceeds to drive straight on the road, sitting in silence with their eerily quiet companion. After a few minutes, Muse B murmurs that Muse A needs to “turn left”. Muse A is caught off guard, but they know that the hospital isn’t that way so they explain that they’re going to keep driving straight. As they draw near exit on the left, Muse B reaches over and yanks the wheel hard to force Muse A off the road and down the off ramp. Panicked because they could’ve been in a wreck, Muse A regains control of the car and demands an explanation. Muse B sits back in their seat calmly replying that they would have been in a terrible accident if they didn’t turn then. Muse A thinks that Muse Bis crazy and swears that once they reach the hospital (via local streets) they’ll get as far away from Muse B as possible. When they arrive at the hospital, Muse A escorts Muse B in, though Muse B is resisting. Muse A struggles a bit to get Muse B inside, but the news story playing on the waiting room TV catches their attention before they can reach the nurse’s station. Sure enough, there’s a breaking news bulletin about a turned over truck and a massive fire on the road that Muse A was determined to take..
(This is my tab for ideas that don't necessarily have a full plot. But I think they'd be good to roleplay.)
Slenderman, basically anything to do with him and his proxies.
Cannibalism, serious taboo and macabre stuff here.
A psychopath, who moved away because he was bullied in high school, has come back for revenge.
(A FxF idea if you're willing) Two seducing vampire women who move to Los Angeles to get money, get men, and get blood. Oh, and to kill too, obviously.
Blood and organ traffickers, for those who need it or maybe for vampires.
Two investigators get a case, a case of murder to a degree of that it isn't quite human. One could be a non-human, the pairing can be negotiated.
A viral contagion breaks out in a hotel, the hotel is quarantined and you two are trapped inside. (Based on REC, or Quarantine, the American version)
A remote Alaskan town is trapped in by a large snowstorm, which draws out an ancient evil from the surrounding areas. Wendigos. (Idea from a past roleplay of mine.)
(I will also be willing to hear about your own horror plot ideas and maybe they're better than some of mine!)
