The Daemonium Umbra

The Daemonium Umbra have been on Earth longer than mankind. They were elders when Lucifer fell from grace and ancient when Adam and Eve walked the Garden of Eden. Slow aging and proud, the Daemonium Umbra have watched man grow and take the driver's seat of modern day civilization. Through the millenia, the Daemonium Umbra have evolved into three distinct races, each distinguished by their own set of abilities.

Note: The primary form of all Daemonium Umbra appears human.

  Beautiful as it is dangerous, the Aquaius' siren form is responsible for all of the legends. Their song is highly effective in luring prey close. (The Selkie is an acceptable variant of the Siren.)

  This slow moving beast of old can breathe molten lava at will. Incredibly powerful, it is also largely conspicuous. Sublety is not the lava dragon's strong suit.

  Anima are born able to transform into one specific mammal, and are granted all of that animal's abilities.

  Anima have the ability to grow plants at hyperspeed, bending the growth to suit their needs.
  
  
  

The Situation

The Daemonium Umbra have been peaceful observers for millenia. Recently, an uprising has begun in the ranks of the younger generation. Led by the young idealist Apollyon, this faction calls itself the Enlightened and seeks to establish a hierarchy that places the Daemonium Umbra in the principal position, with humanity serving as slaves. Led by Asvoria the Divine, those who seek to maintain the established order are known as the Archaios. The Archaios believe that the business of humanity is none of their own, and believe that if humanity where to discover their existence it would threaten the fragile and peaceful balance between the two races.


Tensions have been steadily rising between both factions over the past decade, and it is beginning to boil over. We have seen some riots breaking out in the more fringe communities, and the Daemonium have had success in keeping the humans in the dark. However, you can only explain away freak spots of demolition by lightning strikes and other natural disasters for so long. All out war between the sides is looming. Which side will emerge triumphant?
