She was born in Dearborn to a mother of 4, two older siblings, a boy and a girl. She also has two younger siblings, twin girls. She got into baking at 6 but wasn't allowed in the kitchen until she was 10. She got into the idea of owning a cafe at the age of 13 when she saw how popular her local cafe was and cozy it was. She went to culinary school at 19 and graduated at 23. After many planning and other jobs, she finally opened her cafe at age 25.
