Personality: Queen Adeline (Addie) is loyal to her country above all else, and will do anything for it. She loves her people, and makes an effort to cae for them in whatever way possible, and during her reign almost no one lived in complete poverty. She is wise, kind and smart, but stubborn and strong willed. She does not let anyone take advantage of her, and will fight for what she believes is right. She can be cruel to those who disrespect her, who go out of their way to undermine her power.

Powers- she is able to shape-shift into any creature for a limited amount of time. If the creature is big, like a lion, the less time she is able to stay that creature. The smaller, like a mouse, she can stay it for a longer time. She is also able to mimic voices or sounds she has heard before.

Personality- she has a fake goofy, kind, friendly, confident face. But inside she is a manipulative, disgruntled, power hungry person. She does have kind and soft feelings in her, but it’s hard to reach.



Brief backstory- She was a loving sister of 5. Until people who she thought were hunters took them away from her, either killed, or enslaved. She was the only one who took care of them, but her still being young and about the same age as them, couldn’t stop the hunters. Later on in life she found out the hunters were royal guards. She didn’t know from what kingdom, but she has learned to hate royalty and everything involving it. So when the opportunity arises, she takes a shot at power, even if it is to destroy the very people who might willingly give it to her.

PERSONALITY


Jackson is introverted, never enjoying to stick around in crowds, and has to fake confidence when meeting new people. He’s the farthest thing from quiet and is constantly making loud jokes. He flirts with just about anyone, never passing up a chance to bribe an unknowing passerby out of their spare change. He’s extremely arrogant and VERY rude. There’s a soft, loving side underneath him, but it has to be dug out of him, he hardly ever shows it when he’s not alone.

Olive skinned boy with brunette hair that’s gotten a bit too long. He has green eyes with hazel highlights.


BRIEF BACKSTORY

Jace grew up in a small shack with his mother and three siblings. His mother was always a drunk and ended up leaving two of his siblings alone in a dark alley when he was eight. Jace never saw the two again and he has never recovered. He met the queen while he was crying on the side of the street near the palace.

When he turned fifteen he started working for a bar, singing his songs and sharing his strange music with the people who drank away their troubles there. His mom committed suicide when he was sixteen. His last remained sibling no longer remains in touch with him, but he still sees her while working in that same old bar some days, wishing he could have given his little sister a better life.

Physical Appearance

Kal is a short, fairly thin man that reaches the height of around 5’3. He typically wears glasses for his poor eyesight, but is known to lose them often; this doesn’t seem to affect his performance. He does wear light silver armour when on duty, but casually, he wears a black dress shirt topped with a medium blue jacket; along with this, he wears a red scarf he received from a good friend. He wears white pants and his sword is usually sheathed on his right thigh.

Personality

Kal is a very selfless man, and often takes pity on others. He’s not one who’s particularly fond of hurting people, but he will do what he must to protect others. He’s a bit nervous at times and avoids confrontation at any costs, usually using his sword as a warning. He’s a very passionate person and is really influenced by his emotions, however, he does his best to keep a cool head.

Abilities

Kal has no special powers, but he is specially skilled with a sword. He is self taught, and usually disappears off somewhere to practice. He’s also quite fast, and his reflexes are impeccable. Kal run fast and swing faster.

Quick Backstory

Kal was raised in an orphanage before living with a priest named Nik nearing his 8th birthday. Due to the traumatic circumstances of the orphanage couple’s deaths, Kal was self-mute until 13. He never learned to read or write, but he does try to help the younger children of his village. Kal disappeared for a while, and eventually completely moved from his village at the age of 19 to become a royal guard, a goal in which he eventually achieved.

Personality: Nic is cold, distant, and a very good actor. He plays any role he is given well, and is a known liar and conniver. He is jealous of the Queen and her newfound freedom, and wishes she’d see that being royal is a worse fate then she believes. He is loyal to the enemy, but can be convinced otherwise.

Background: Nic grew up with only his mother and a little sister, the former of which died at sea, and the latter of which is in the castle now. He loves her more than anything, and would do anything for her.​

Personality: Elie is very innocent and oblivious to her surroundings. She tends to be very childish and loves to explore and learn new things. She had been taught that nobles are all arrogant and spoiled, but she is gradually learning otherwise. She tends to put others before herself. Growing up in a bad household, she bears scars from many punishments. Mainly being punished for trying to explore. Elie goes out of her way to help and do the right thing, putting herself into danger before others. She is also very easily convinced to do things without question.

Powers: Elie is able to bend light rays around herself, another person, or an object to make it invisible. She can also bend the light to blind a person. However, because she has had little training, do so for long makes her sick.

Background: Elie grew up being held inside. Her mother was hunted for bring Fae, and was eventually killed. So, that left her with her human father. Her father didn't allow her to leave the house, and barely even let her read and learn about the outside world. Whenever she disobeyed him, even in the slightest, she received severe punishments. She was always told that he did it to help her, and she grew to believe him. Even to want the punishments because she thought she needed help.​

Personality: Cold and calculating, Renlyn is far from what people would consider to be the social type, often seeing strangers as enemies or mere annoyances he has not met yet. He makes no effort to hide the disdain he feels for most, and cares little when his often derisive personality upsets others. He is not completely heartless, however, for what little compassion he may have is reserved only for the most innocent in society; children.

Backstory: When Renlyn lay within his mother's womb, he was one of the unfortunates that would die before birth, much to the shame and horror such a thing could bring. When such a terrible thing happens, desperate parents may try to take any path that may save their unborn child, and those desperate enough may even turn to dark magic. Renlyn's parents were so desperate, and they turned to a necromancer, who successfully revived Renlyn but at a terrible price. Renlyn is known as a Lych, a child born undead, to parents who sacrificed their lives to save him, both unknowingly and unwillingly.

It was the necromancer who raised Renlyn, but certainly not as a loving parent, rather as a master would raise a slave. Renlyn suffered terribly during his upbringing, abused and mistreated, never knowing what it is to love or be loved. Renlyn naturally hated his master, and when the day finally came when Renlyn became strong enough to destroy his master, he did not hesitate. Renlyn took all that his master possessed, and learned the arts of necromancy for himself, finding that a Lych has an unsurprising affinity for such dark magic. And as a Lych, Renlyn appears indistinguishable from the living, and was able to exist quietly in the shadows of society for many years, until the fateful day he was discovered and imprisoned.

Powers: Renlyn is able to:
~ Raise the dead, both humanoids and animals.
~ Summon and commune with ghosts and spirits.
~ Be recognised by other undead or dark creatures as kin, of a sort.
~ Resist most poisons and venoms, as well as any dark magic.
