MysteriousStranger
Witcher
Finally finished the Punisher, and I fell in love. Hell, the show had me before the opening credits even rolled with that sniping scene. Needless to say, I'm terribly craving to do a story inspired by The Punisher.
My character would be a Special Forces veteran who's recently returned home from deployment, and for his own vengeance-born reasons, has started cleaning house with the criminals that stalk the streets of New York City.
Name: Jaxon "Maverick" Asher
Age: 35
Profession: Former Navy SEAL Sniper
Height: 6'3"
Build: Muscular
Eye Color: Green
Hair Color: Brown
Notable Scars:
- Bullet puncture wound on his upper right chest, near to his heart.
- Small mark over his left eyebrow.
Jaxon's skin has been inked with a multitude of tattoos, each one telling a story.
Iron and Fire
Placement: The words "IRON" and "FIRE" inked on his left and right knuckles, respectively.
Yggdrasil, The World Tree
Placement: Sprawled across his back, the branches of the world tree have been carved with a multitude of names, serving as a memorial to the lost.
Mjolnir, Thor's Hammer
Placement: Right pectoral muscle, inked over his scar.Fenrir, The Devourer
Placement: Over his left set of ribs. Chains bind the beast to the tree upon his back.
Jormungandr, The World Serpent
Placement: His right arm, wrapping around as a sleeve.
Tyr, Warrior's Rune
Placement: His left forearm.
"Valknut", Slain Warriors
Placement: Left bicep.
{Since I'm bad at describing personalities, here's a poem to have a bit of insight into Jaxon's character. Written from his PoV.}
They said it was the end of the world
But I knew my time was just beginning.
Breathing to just stay alive, yeah
Just breathing to stay alive
Who needs the devil when you have men?
Who's got time for God,
When fairytales are dead.
I guess I'm a lost cause,
I guess I'm a sinner.
I guess I'm a black hole,
I guess I'm a killer.
Sometimes I fight just to say I fought,
Sometimes I bleed,
Just to see what the pain had wrought.
Sometimes I cry, sometimes I die,
Just to see the other side.
The bullet never lies.
Take the kid out of the war,
The war's still in the kid,
Just ask all the headstones
Where their children have been.
A loaded gun's easier to carry
Than a loaded skull
A ghost in the sights
Makes the trigger easier to pull
I see nothing anyway,
I see nothing anyway.
Adjust the crosshairs, boy,
Know where you've been.
The bullets never lie,
And your Father has sinned.
I guess I'm a lost cause.
I guess I'm a sinner.
I guess I'm a black hole.
I guess I'm a killer.
And on my deathbed I shall plead:
Guilty, jury, guilty
On my deathbed I shall grin,
Because this is what was made of me.
No second chances,
No could've beens,
Even with a choice,
I'm damned to sin.
Been here, done that:
Let's do it again.
Be a victim or be a man,
In the end, you've got a losing hand.
I'd rather go down with a pistol,
A middle finger, and some pride.
I guess the bullets never lie.
Your character? Well, depends on what you want to play. A fellow veteran? A by-the-book cop? A find-the-truth reporter? A disgruntled PI? A hacker? We can tailor a story from there. I would like it if your character at least disagrees morally on some level with mine's methods; while I'm not a fan of Daredevil (the character weirdly, not the show), I do like the idea of that sort of reluctant partnership.
The basic plot would be our characters somehow working to bring down a ring of mobsters for different reasons of their own. Perhaps we even throw in a good government conspiracy? Anyways, I want this to be dark, gritty, violent, and gory. It'll definitely include heavy themes as well. There's your fair warning.

I'd appreciate it if you'd send me a writing sample, so I can see if our styles match.
Thanks for reading!
