World’s Environment/Climate
The planet is freezing over, and we don’t (currently) know why. There are basically two distinct seasons, Winter, which is harsh and long, and Autumn, which is basically a less intense winter. Sometimes the snow melts during these few short months.
Farming and agriculture are difficult at best due to the weather. Most crops are grown inside greenhouses, as farming outside will freeze and kill most plants. Most greenhouses don’t have electricity, and the ones that do are in big settlements.
Livestock is also rare, there are plenty of butchers though. Rabbits are the most common form of livestock for food, and tundra animals, are somewhat common, too, such as caribou and elk. Most meat is obtained through hunting wild animals.
Livestock such as horses are common and generally used as transportation since cars and trains are inaccessible to the general public for use.

Factions
Factions are people who have joined together to create a society. Their rules can vary wildly and can include anywhere from a single-family unit, or hundreds of people. Usually tied to a single settlement or location.
The Factions marked as “Player Faction” are intended for our characters to join. The ones without are NPC Factions and are not joinable.

(Player Faction)

The Silver Deer
Native Settlement: Nomadic
Size: Medium
Influence: Low
Stability: Somewhat Stable
About:
A group of nomadic reindeer shepherds. They’re constantly on the move as they can never find enough food for their herd. Often travel into cities and villages to sell reindeer meat and pelts. They won't cause problems but they sure as hell will end them. It's lead by a man named Doe Langley

(Player Faction)
The Dragon’s Bane
Native Settlement: Nomatic
Size: Medium
Influence: Medium-low
Stability: Somewhat Stable
About:
A group of cutthroats that go where the resources are and take them by force. Recently they’ve been targeting and following The Silver Deer, as their herd has proved to be valuable in the ever-increasing inhospitable environment. Co-lead by two spellswords by the names of Miraak and Riae.

The Crystal Tiger
Native Settlement: Crystal City
Size: Large (Hundreds of people)
Influence: High in their Settlement, medium in the world
Stability: Stable
About:
The Crystal Tiger owns Crystal City, a large settlement that has access to limited electricity, technology, and a steady food supply. Most members are commoners under protection from higher-ranking individuals. They have access to trains that carry and trade larger shipments between other large settlements, but civilians cannot use them.

The Divine Cloak
Native Settlement: None/wanders the wastes
Size: Medium-small (25-50 people)
Influence: Small
Stability: A little unstable
About:
The Divine Cloak is a band of mercenaries, bounty hunters, and bandits. They go where there are food and work, or easy ways to get supplies such as near roads.

The Frozen Wolf
Native Settlement: Three Streams Village
Size: Small (10-20 people)
Influence: Virtually none
Stability: Mostly Stable
About:
The Frozen Wolf is a group of mostly commoners and a few fighters. They are made up of the residents of the Three Streams Village, most are fishermen or hunter/gatherers.

Settlements
Crystal City
A large formidable city with running water and electricity, though it is mostly limited to the richer residents. Many commoners, but has a good militia. They specialize in trading with other large settlements, even though they are very far. They utilize trains for the transport of goods. They are also very controlling of their residents.

Three Streams Village
A small village located between the join of three streams. No electricity, no running water. Mostly just hunters, gatherers, and fishermen. Not much in the way of militia or defense, they just want peace and the ability to feed their families. Has a small greenhouse that the village shares.

Snowerdin
A village located north of most settlements. It's always snowing up here, despite their small size the village does get running water and electricity. They don't get many visitors for obvious reasons, so they tend to be very hospitable towards guests. Most food is imported due to weather making it impossible to farm. Civil unrest is common as the village is barely hanging onto survival.

Merged Locations
Odds are, whatever locations you know from your world are in ruins or otherwise destroyed in the process of the merge.
