Character Name: The Knight

Canon: Hollow Knight

Age: Unknown

Attributes: Despite The Knight's small size, one of its strengths is its speed and versatility in combat or while traveling. The little knight is adequate enough in battle, wielding its trusty nail with deadly skill and accuracy. In the mostly empty husk that could be considered its mind, it can think for itself and form simple strategies or plans outside of its original directive to a certain degree. It doesn't have much when it comes to emotions, so those rarely get in the way of what it is doing or intends to do.

The weaknesses of The Knight are for one its rather unremarkable skill set otherwise, as currently it cannot wield any spells or have any other particularly remarkable abilities. It can avoid and deal blows well enough, but there is no guarantee that it would be able to avoid taking a hit altogether by any means, or even succumb to a fatal one. It is quite vulnerable, aside from its cloaked shell that can protect it from blunt damage to a slight degree. While The Knight has something like a mind that it uses to somewhat think for itself, it is certainly not the most clever or wise of creatures by a long shot. It could most definitely be outsmarted, or even tricked, if it does not think through things clearly enough.

Another attribute of the bug-like creature is that when it is killed, a piece of itself, which is only a shadowy fragment of it still clinging to life, will remain where it died. This remaining essence would not be able to interact with anything or even think for itself, and would rather just float in listless wait for its body to return. It would be debatable whether or not The Knight's body would be able to return for its soul upon death however, as that mechanic will most likely be scrapped in order not to be ridiculously overpowered.

Chosen Ability/Equipment: The Knight wields an Old Nail, which is a rusted nail about half its height that it uses as a sword. The nail is most likely not quite as effective as a sword, but it does have a sharpened tip and fairly long reach that make it a useful and eligible weapon.

Personality: The Knight was one of the many vessels created by the King of Hallownest to seal away a growing infection, and to have virtually no other purpose other than to serve the kingdom of Hallownest by doing this duty. All vessels were created to have no mind to think, no will to break, and no voice to cry suffering in order to fulfill this purpose. These factors have proven true to some degree when it comes to The Knight, as it has no voice or expression to ever emote any sort of emotion, and seems to be the ideal vessel in this regard. However, it is evident that The Knight is not as completely hollow and empty as intended. It has a mind, even if it is a rather one-track one, and to great extent, an ironclad will. It is determined to see its journey to fulfil its purpose through and save the dying kingdom, even if it was not deemed worthy for the task in the past. The little knight also has the capability for empathy, as at times it might deviate from its programmed task to help some of the few remaining residents of Hallownest, and it also might take a pause from its journey now and then to simply sit and enjoy the beautiful and gratifying aspects of it. These aspects of The Knight suggest that it does have a bit of personality and even the slightest of feelings sometimes, even if this barely shows and is quite difficult to detect on the outside. Nevertheless, the little vessel's strongest aspect is most certainly its will and determination to see things through, which is an aspect that will most likely show itself no matter what happens.

Biography: The Knight originally came from a place called the Void, a mysterious and dark place that loomed at the edge of the magical bug kingdom of Hallownest. The Knight lurked in the Void along with its brethren, a mere shadowy being with no real corporeal form. Eventually it was given form when it was made into a vessel, created by the King of Hallownest in order to seal away a growing infection that was slowly spreading across and corrupting the kingdom and its residents. The little knight was only one of hundreds of vessels from the Void however, experiments that had mostly gone horribly wrong. The search for a perfect vessel, one without any emotions, will, or thoughts for the infection to corrupt, seemed endless. Finally a vessel that was deemed perfect and worthy to use was found, but unfortunately The Knight was not that vessel. The little knight, along with all the other failed vessel experiments, was sealed away in the Void, while the vessel deemed perfect, The Hollow Knight, took its place in order to seal away the infection. Much time passed, and eventually the kingdom of Hallownest began to fall into ruin. The other perfect vessel turned out to not be as perfect as had been hoped, as soon the infection took it over and began to spread through the kingdom again, and the King mysteriously disappeared in the bugs' greatest time of need. Eventually The Knight was called from the Void in order to take the place of the original Hollow Knight, who had been a failed vessel. And so, once summoned, the little knight embarked on its journey to save the kingdom of Hallownest, and fulfil the duty of the Hollow Knight.

Ooh, interesting. Always considered playing Hollow Knight, but I unfortunately never really found the time.
Either way, would you consider joining the Discord server? It's an integral part of the roleplay, to say the least.

Ah, indeed! I really enjoyed Hollow Knight, and really liked the story of it, so I decided it might be interesting to play this little guy for such a thing. (:

And ah I see, I will join it indeed then! I was a bit nervous about joining it, since I didn't know whether or not I could if I hadn't been accepted or anything, but if it's alright then I'd be happy to join it!

  • Mario-Mario-and-Luigi-Paper-Jam-mario-38988558-454-500.jpg
    "It's-a me, Mario!"

    Character Name:
    Mario "Jumpman" Mario

    Canon:
    "Super Mario" series

    Age:
    ~26 years old

    Personality:
Generally, Mario is shown to be a brave and kind-hearted hero with an iron sense of justice, morality and righteousness. He will almost always put other people's needs before his own, and he is willing to risk his life to save millions of others from the forces of evil- as he has, indeed, done many times before in the past, with the help of his twin brother Luigi. He is good-natured, full of energy and incredibly exuberant, shown by his stunning feats of acrobatics, such as his Long Jump and Wall Jump, and nigh-endless endurance during his adventures and battles, despite his less-than-toned physique. Mario is a keen sportsman, having played sports such as baseball, football, and tennis on many different occasions, and having demonstrating impressive skill in them all- even competing at tournaments for them. He speaks with an Italian accent.

Mario is a very determined and headstrong individual. This sometimes can be a disadvantage for him, as, depending on the situation, he can be blinded by his own sense of justice, sometimes leading to Mario becoming very aggressive and impulsive, going head-on into situations without much thought or mediation. He will become very agitated if he cannot find a way to accomplish his task, yet he has been shown to be quite intelligent and a good planner, able to turn seemingly impossible situations around, shown in such situations when, to get underneath small gaps, he and Luigi come up with the idea to drill into the ground and dig underneath with nothing but their own bodies, to when they managed to escape being trapped within Bowser's body by exploiting changes within, or even to the incredibly extravagant, yet effective, Bros. Attacks that he and Luigi perform together.

He shows incredible care and concern for others, and is not a vindictive person, shown when he agrees to team up with Bowser, the Mushroom Kingdom's most infamous threat and villain and personal arch-enemy, on multiple occasions to stop a greater, much more dangerous and destructive force of evil, such as the Dark Star or Cackletta.

His personal relationship with Luigi, his twin brother, is a relationship many aspire to have with their siblings- together, they make an excellent team, with Luigi usually accompanying Mario on his adventures, even though he has been known to travel by himself. Through the years, Mario and Luigi have maintained a brotherly love for each other, shown when Luigi saves Mario from the forces of King Boo, and through their admirable teamwork throughout their adventures. Mario is incredibly distressed when Luigi is hurt or troubled, or when he does not know of his whereabouts, as is Luigi himself. Though Luigi is slightly jealous of his brother at times, they both maintain an unbreakable brotherly love relationship, and Luigi looks up to Mario as a great role model.

In addition, his romantic partner, Princess Peach, was a very close companion of Mario's since early childhood- they show very strong devotion towards each other and have very good chemistry, and even though Mario has to save her from the clutches of Bowser and of many other villains frequently, he sees it as his duty to help her and to help others. In the eyes of the Mushroom Kingdom, he is a legendary hero.

    Bio:
When not out on his adventures, Mario has worked many different jobs- he has worked as a carpenter, plumber, archaeologist, chef, construction worker- even as a doctor. He has been performing heroic feats since his early years- even as a baby, when he worked with his friend Yoshi to defeat the wizard Kamek. He and Luigi are always the ones to step up when the Mushroom Kingdom- and, at times, the world- is in danger; they have, on multiple occasions, gone on daring adventures, ranging from situations where they must save the princess from Bowser to situations where they must save the world from being plunged into darkness by a great evil. Mario has established himself as the Mushroom Kingdom's saviour and hero, along with his brother, due to his awe-inspiring feats in the past.

Character Name: Pat Smith

Canon: Friday the 13th

Age: 21

Attributes: Stealth, Strength, Vision, Hearing, Causes terror,

Chosen Ability/Equipment: Deathless (Cannot technically die, but is 'dead' for a week after mortal damage is inflicted)

Personality: Pat is a rather pessimistic person after the things he's seen and done. He doesn't like people and usually just wants to do what has to be done. On the rare occasion that he does converse with someone it is short and to the point. He stays away from emotions and people because he knows that eventually, everything is sure to fade away.

Bio: Nothing ever happened out of the ordinary for Pat Smith. After a high school career of high test scores and sports he was accepted into Princeton after a very precarious interview about lower grades due to his lack of homework turned in for the majority of his years in high school. After packing his things into his car and heading off, his college life began. A grueling schedule of rowing training, class and wrestling was his life 5 days a week. On the days that he wasn't getting his ass kicked by school work or practice was usually spent in small parties or sitting in a dorm, he began to adjust. After many races and matches in Rowing and Wrestling, along with his classes, summer finally arrived. In order to get some money in his pocket, he went to go be a counselor in a summer camp. He had heard of a legend about a killer, Jason Voorhees, but there was nothing to fear seeing as the crystal lake killer had been put down in the mid 90's. What Pat didn't know was that a bigger threat had entered his life, the mob. The mob had made a business of betting on the college races for crew. And they had a large sum of money for the Princeton team to lose. Pat wasn't informed about the fixing of the race and he ended up winning the race for Princeton, to the mobs dismay they lost all of the money. The mob didn't exactly like being cheated so they asked around. They found out that he was the one who got the team the points to win. They decided to visit him on spring break, he was the only one at the camp. After a good beating with various weapons that left him broken and bleeding, Pat had a pair of concrete shoes fitted for him. The enforcers told him that his family could be expecting a visit from them after they were finished with him and threw him in the lake. He struggled for a minute before he realized that there was no escape, so he accepted it and drowned. Before he died the thought of the mob harming his family burned inside him before he finally suffocated. That might of been the reason, the reason he returned to life the next day.

Something in the lake had been awakened by his anger and pain, the same thing that had brought Jason back in the 80's. He walked along the lake floor until he emerged from the depths onto the shore. He proceeded to find his way back to his home in Pennsylvania, he had found a for sale sign in front of his house and his family missing, he realized what had happened. Traveling back into Trenton, he found one of the mobs lower circles. He killed every mobster on the street and finally found where the higher ups were in order to kill them, all of them. For one straight year all he knew was death and pain, he could never truly die himself so he exacted his revenge on every single person who was related to his death. He had become unhinged doing terrible things to people and repeating the process every time he found someone responsible. After he had finally killed the last boss who ordered his killing, Pat went back to the lake and drowned himself.

That's actually a pretty interesting concept for an ability. But, just so it isn't unfair to everybody else, we'll have to put a limit to that. Nothing that would make it completely useless, but just a cap so your character doesn't become completely invulnerable. Talk to me in private or on Discord so we can sort this out, a'right? ^_^

Chosen Ability/Equipment: The Emperor
Stand: Emperor.
Stand Description: Emperor is a Stand in the form of an elaborate, impractical-looking revolver. Its design is that of a revolver combined with an automatic pistol.
Ability: -Remote-controlled Bullets
-Unlimited Ammunition
-No Reload Required

Personality: At first, shown as a man who is incredibly confident, charming and smooth-talking, he's later revealed as a coward, who'd rather ally with others than go solo. His confidence helps him believe that has the advantage, being able to stay calm and collected in sticky situations, shown through the attempt to murder DIO, the man who hired him to kill the Joestar group, who was clearly stronger than him. As mentioned before, he's a coward, not hesitating to flee when he sees he's at a disadvantage. He can come off as greedy as he was considering stealing some of the treasures DIO had while he was planning to assassinate him.

Bio: Hol Horse is an.. Interesting fellow. A natural Stand using mercenary, hired by lord DIO to assassinate the Joestar gang, his cowardice and philosophy to remain #2 rather than #1 often leads him to only narrowly evading otherwise unescapable scenarios. His overconfident demeanor and cowboyish charisma also allowed him to gain a large following of fangirls who will throw their lives into danger to protect him, even if it costs them everything.

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
