"Hm?" Roman was in the middle of drinking with Cara announced she had a question. He would have much preferred her ask about where he realistically saw their future going than this. Brooklyn was his best friend and Chanel was hers. He also wasn't Chanel's biggest reason, and really for no good reason, but it seemed like he and Brooklyn felt similar towards Chanel, and as far as he knew, Chanel hadn't done anything to Brooklyn, so he assumed his reasons were about the same as her: "Chanel's just kind of annoying, you know? And Holly's not ever going to take her seriously, but what else would you expect Brooklyn to say after all of these texts?" Where he and Brooklyn tended to verge onto different paths was in their ability to ignore and go on about their day. Brooklyn was good for taking the bait. He was actually surprised Holly wasn't already blocked, so he figured there had to be a good reason. "The fact that Holly isn't already blocked shows just how much she likes her, if you ask me."
He extended his arm around her back so he could pull her closer and give her a kiss. "Do you want me to tell her to stop being mean to your friends for you? How do you befriend the most saccharine people on the planet anyway?"
